In Southern Oregon, the historic Wolf Creek Inn has welcomed travelers, celebrities, and curious guests since the 1800s. Originally built along the Applegate Trail, it became a popular stop for settlers, miners, stagecoach passengers, and later railroad and highway travelers. Jack London especially loved the inn, spending a summer writing there, and his former room is now preserved in his honor. Our story for "Death Week" is a retelling by Martin of a ghost story, The Callow Inn.In rural Herefordshire, for over a hundred years people have reported two strange night-time phenomena connected to The Callow Inn, which was demolished at the end of the 19th century. First there are the ghostly shapes of two people carrying bodies out into Haywood Forest.Then there's the spectral windows, shining light out into the darkness... Martin's take on the story is set in the modern day and explores ideas of broken families, loss, supernatural obsession, and Midwinter symbolism. Water systems across the United States have become increasingly attractive targets for cyberattacks and more, raising serious questions about the security and resilience of our nation's critical infrastructure.In this episode of Infrastructure Files, we examine recent cyber incidents affecting water utilities, what officials know so far, who may be responsible, and what these attacks could mean for the future of critical infrastructure protection.This investigation is also part of a broader series exploring attacks on critical infrastructure, including power grids, communications networks, transportation systems, industrial control systems, airspace incursions, drone activity near sensitive facilities, and the evolving national security questions surrounding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). While many of these events have conventional explanations, others remain unresolved and warrant careful, evidence-based investigation.

First, we head to Floyd County, Kentucky, where a childhood memory in the 1990s involves an invisible man in steel-toed boots pacing a storage trailer, a turning doorknob, and an unseen presence waiting in the back room. Next, a county sheriff's dispatcher shares the spine-tingling account of a shift sergeant who spotted a hand pulling back drapes to peer out a window—only to find the homeowner deceased inside a completely empty house.
