Las Vegas police say they have closed their investigation into an allegation of sexual assault against community activist Andrew Holmes and no charges have been filed. It follows a bombshell accusation – and lawsuit – by a former aide to Dolton mayor Tiffany Henyard who accused Holmes of sexual assault while on a taxpayer-funded trip to Las Vegas in May of 2023. Holmes is a village trustee in south suburban Dolton and a close ally of Henyard. The accuser, Fenia Dukes, released a videotaped statement to WGN and other media outlets a year later, weeks after filing a report with South Holland, IL police.

Today, we want to discuss a movie that our host, Mike, absolutely refuses to watch a second time - Titanic. According to him, it's the worst movie he's ever seen, and he finds it to be a dumb movie that tries too hard to be creative with the story. But that's not all, we also touch upon the recent incident at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, where a man went on a rampage, throwing furniture and other items out of a hotel window. This incident raises questions about law enforcement and the overall state of society. So, let's dive into these topics and explore them from a sarcastic point of view. The Titanic: A Movie Mike Will Never Watch AgainMike starts off the discussion by expressing his disdain for the movie Titanic. He firmly states, "I will never watch the Titanic a second time. No, not going to happen. Worst movie I've ever seen. Terrible movie." He goes on to criticize the movie for its attempt at creative storytelling, calling it a "dumb movie." Mike also mentions the infamous submarine created by a group of people who wanted to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. He sarcastically remarks, "Then go where it's supposed to go and tell people what you got to tell them, because I don't know the damn story." This leads to a brief discussion about scuba diving and the dangers of exploring the depths of the ocean. The Recent Incident at Caesar's PalaceThe conversation takes a dark turn as Mike brings up the recent incident at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. He describes how a man barricaded himself in a hotel room and proceeded to throw furniture and other items out of the window, causing chaos in the pool area below. Torya expresses her disbelief at the man's actions and questions why he would draw attention to himself in such a way. They discuss the potential danger posed to people in the pool area and the lack of care shown by the man. Mike mentions that the man's credit card will likely be charged for the damages caused, adding another layer of consequences to his reckless behavior.Law Enforcement and SocietyThe discussion then shifts to law enforcement and its role in society. Torya expresses her frustration with the police's failure to enforce traffic rules, citing an incident where a driver ran a red light right in front of a police officer without any consequences. She argues that the lack of enforcement leads to anarchy and a disregard for the law. Mike agrees, stating that the purpose of enforcing laws is not to prevent people from breaking them, but to make them think twice before doing so. They both criticize the media for often portraying the police in a negative light, despite the hard work and training they undergo. Torya acknowledges that there are some bad apples in every profession, but overall, she believes that the police in Las Vegas are well-trained and do a good job.The State of SocietyThe hosts reflect on the state of society and the prevalence of violent crimes in Las Vegas. They discuss how crimes in the city tend to be more extreme, with perpetrators going all-in rather than engaging in petty crimes. They mention a recent incident where a fender bender escalated into a shooting, highlighting the senseless violence that can occur. Torya expresses her anger and frustration at such acts, questioning the motives behind them. She concludes by stating that she takes calculated risks when going out in public, understanding that there is always a level of danger present.TimestampSummary0:00:15Introduction to the show and topic of the day0:01:13Discussion about not watching Titanic a second time0:02:01Mention of a submarine related to the Titanic0:03:01Fear of going on a submarine ride at Disneyland0:04:47Discussion about the recent incident with the Titanic submersible0:07:11Joking about the recent incident at Caesar's Palace0:08:18Description of the incident at Caesar's Palace0:09:09Wondering why the person threw items out the window0:10:09Mention of the police force in Las Vegas0:10:32Criticism of the police's enforcement of traffic rules0:11:02Driving incident and lack of enforcement of traffic rules0:11:58Disrespectful behavior of Las Vegas drivers0:12:59Discussion on the incident of throwing items out of a hotel window0:13:31Speculation on who will pay for the damages caused0:16:02Calculating the risk of being in public0:17:15Humorous discussion on police officers' gear and pants0:18:38Criticism of police not enforcing basic traffic laws0:19:18High level of violent crime in Las Vegas0:20:09Media reporting on crime incidents in the area0:20:23Discussion on a recent road rage incident near their house0:20:23Accident misrepresented in news report0:21:03Shooter's irrational response to accident0:21:30Ran out of energy and beverages0:21:36Conclusion of the nightly rant0:21:39Request for a five-star rating0:21:46End of podcast production

QUOTES 06:46 "You need to talk to somebody who has been there who can calm you and make sure you know, above and beyond, that you are not alone. And that's really the thing that the film really hammers home." 13:19 "When you are put in a place, let's say the theater of war and you're going to see terrible things, the bottom line is some people are going to react differently. But you're not going to come back the person you were. It's going to change you." 15:16 "My films that are pro-law enforcement and are meant to tell both the positive stories about law enforcement that the mainstream media ignores, as well as address the critical issues that law enforcement faces that the mainstream media also tends to ignore, I'm sure they don't fit that algorithm." 17:06 "It is a culture issue where, as a profession, I believe that we have failed mightily to ensure that police officers know as part of their profession, they need to stay proficient in these tactics." 21:09 "I think as a profession, we can continue to do better. We have to evolve and become something more along the lines of what people actually perceive. No, we can't kick everybody's ass. No, we're not superheroes but we can still be better." ----------------------------- SUMMARY In this episode of the National Police Association Podcast, Sgt. On the night of Sunday, October 1, 2017 gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival from Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, leaving 60 people dead and 867 injured…and a pile of unanswered questions! Three years later, how did the largest mass shooting in America’s history suddenly vanish off the media radar and from our memories? How did the Las Vegas Police close such a high-profile case without ever finding a motive? Why did the timeline of that fateful night change so many times and why did police destroy the crime scene and even move the shooters body prior to crime scene investigators arriving? These are but some of the question brought up in the amazing and now acclaimed documentary Money Machine by veteran filmmaker Ram Denison and producer Mike Turber. Join the Dudes n Beer podcast as we examine the evidence presented in the case as well as the staggering facts that were skipped over by investigators as well as the corruption behind the #VegasStrong campaign that survivors never saw a dime from! All this and more in this in depth episode with Ram Denison and Mike Turber. The Dudes n Beer podcast is a proud member of the HC Universal Network family of podcasts. Professional poker player Jimmy Harmon's time in Las Vegas has been anything but routine. A bomb set by a henchman named Watson — ostensibly in the employ of Las Vegas gangster Wiktoria Sałkiewicz — has apparently led to the death of Harmon's friend Will Archer. Harmon meets with Las Vegas detective Ben Marshall, but neither come away with any real answers. Soon after, Sałkiewicz herself places doubt on the idea that she instigated the bombing, and hints that a consortium of hotel buyers may truly be behind it. But before Wiktoria can elaborate, they find themselves under attack by mysterious gunmen, identified only by their driving a black Hummer. After evading the attackers, Harmon and fellow gambler Rachael “Peeps” Leblanc head out of town, only to follow another clue leading to the body of a dead prostitute half-buried in the desert. Tracking the unfortunate woman's path back to the Lyon Majestic Hotel, Harmon and Peeps discover a secret witness, Peter Sokolov, being guarded by what are apparently federal agents, as well as a cache of documents hinting at a major operation. Harmon makes his way to the Remington Hotel, only to discover his role model “Big Mike” Dalton, part owner of online gaming site All-In Poker, has been deeply involved in the past week's activities — though the veteran player was unprepared for the latest turn. Aided by the Hummer-driving gunmen who earlier attacked Wiktoria, Big Mike hustles Harmon out to the Remington Hotel parking garage, only to run up against both the ominous federal agents and the Las Vegas Police — led by detective Marshall.Rated AD-PG, so parental guidance is suggestedContains uses of JC's name in vain, “son of a Bitch,” gunplay, horrendously unsafe driving, and some deep, deep conspiracies.Click here for full show notes.
The Las Vegas Police have issued their final report on the shooting. While they say they still do not know the motive, Sheriff Lombardo nonetheless concludes the attack was terrorism. Is he just trying to help the MGM in its case against the victims? We go through the final report and talk to former candidate for Sheriff Tim Bedwell. He slams Lombardo’s cover up of police failures and provides insight into what it was like to run against Lombardo as well as the casinos and media he seemBecome a patron here: www.patreon.com/hiddentruthshowWebsite: www.hiddentruthshow.comFacebook: www.facebook.com/hiddentruthshowInstagram: www.instagram/hiddentruthshow.comYouTube: www.youtube.com/channel/UC6LplGp0FMkS42uY5NVTOXg
What Happens In Vegas author and Dangerous.com reporter Laura Loomer provides stunning new evidence from documents just released by Las Vegas Police. We also announce the beginning of the Hidden Truth show’s second season: A deep dive into the hidden truth behind the Transgender Movement. It was the T in LGBT that no one talked about, but it is now centerstage and changing the face of America. Who and what is behind this movement which seems to have moved beyond acceptance to promotion.
What's it like to be a hostage negotiator and investigate homicides in Las Vegas? How can you be a captive audience to so much violence and bloodshed yet protect your sanity and still see the glass as 1/2 full? In Episode 4, LifeJitsu's Frank Forza introduces you to life through the seen-it-all eyes of Tom Monahan (now the NHL Security Representative for the Las Vegas Golden Knights).
The 2,100 pages of witness and police statements released this week by the Las Vegas Police as a result of the Nevada Supreme Court’s order show a huge discrepancy as to police response to the shooting. Police Officer Hendrix, who happened to be at the Mandalay Bay when the shooting began, states in his report that he immediately went to the 31st Floor and heard shooting one floor above him. However, a Mandalay Bay Security Supervisor who was with him told the FBI that the two of them went to the 32nd Floor and were on the floor for at least two minutes as shots were being fired! Are the Police trying to cover up the fact that they were on Paddock’s floor during the shooting and thus could have intercepted the shooter and saved an untold number of lives? Is this why the Police fought so hard against releasing the documents? We investigate to find the hidden truth with Doug Poppa, former police officer and head of security for numerous Strip casinos. We also talk to Andrew Bringuel, a 27 year veteran of the FBI’s behavioral science unit who examines the mind of shooter Stephen Paddock.
Ramsey Denison’s documentary exposed widescale corruption within the Las Vegas Police department. In it he documents how police misconduct was routinely covered up. He is now producing a new documentary which he says will expose that the Police are engaging in a new coverup involving the Vegas shooting. In a Hidden Truth Show exclusive, he shares with us the details of that coverup and what the Police are trying to hide.
Doug Poppa, a 20-year Las Vegas strip security director shares insight about Mandalay Bay failures which ultimately led to the horrific shooting. As the author of 60 articles on the shooting, he also chastises the Las Vegas Police for mishandling the investigation and for its refusal to release basic information, most importantly “lock interrogation reports” which could definitively prove whether there were additional shooters.
We examine 25 audio clips taken from over 60 hours of police scanner audio from the night of the shooting. Police are called to the Bellagio, New York New York, Tropicana, and Hard Rock hotels to address active shooter reports. The Las Vegas Police acknowledge these reports, but to this day have yet to issue any report regarding what they encountered at these locations. How is this possible?! We investigate it with someone who has archived everything ever written or recorded about the shooting, including many items which have since been taken down from the internet.
The madman was virtually invisible and digitally unknown. A deranged individual with no apparent motive, a heart of stone, and a brain that was corrupt and corroded at the core. There is a special place in hell with eternal and massive suffering where Stephen Paddock will join the likes of previous twisted and satanic lunatics. The human suffering and carnage is unthinkable. The pain and uncontrollable desire to be united with lost family members. Lives that were cut short in the blink of an eye. A scene that was all to surreal. This madman terrorist opened fire with a steady stream of bullets on an outdoor festival that turned laughter and love into our worst nightmare. The deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Yet none of this truly defined that moment. This moment in time is defined by real heroes. People helping people. Strangers who became instant friends. People unknown, but placed there by the hand of God - to help thy fellow man. The President summed it up beautifully "When the worst of humanity strikes, the best of humanity responds." There are many many unanswered questions. Was this just a matter of time? Did Las Vegas see this coming? Do experts think GUN CONTROL will change some of these outcomes? What could a possible motive be? What type of people commit these type of mass shooting crimes? Does the media coverage help or hurt a tragedy such as this? After 9/11, airport safety changed dramatically - will hotel security change after this tragedy? I have turned to three incredibly talented experts for answers. Daily News race and sports columnist Carron Phillips (@carronJphillips) joins the Popcast this week to discuss Michael Bennett and his accusations that Las Vegas police officers used excessive force and racially profiled him when they apprehended him after the Mayweather-McGregor fight last month. Phillips and host Daniel Popper (@danielrpopper) discuss the NFL protests, and how Bennett’s willingness to speak out about his experience may help further the causes of socially conscious players in the NFL. Also, in this week’s Popping Off, Popper criticizes Giants GM Jerry Reese for not addressing his most glaring weakness this offseason. NFL star Michael Bennett says Las Vegas Police used excessive force on him after reports of an active shooter. The Las Vegas police union has written to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, calling Bennett a liar and asking the NFL to investigate him. If the police union is telling the truth about what happened, do you think the actions they took against Michael Bennett were reasonable?
