On today's episode, we're going even deeper into my stalker situation. I'll be sharing more details about his delusional tendencies—including how he's gone as far as pretending to be a police officer to manipulate and control people (which is a crime, by the way). I'll also be answering the questions I've received from you all about this ongoing situation.Law enforcement is now more involved (actual police, not to be confused with blue light bandits), we know everything, and we'll be handling it all legally. Tune in for the full update.—https://policecoffee.com/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAACG7qmJnibJBpoe9p7ReNXovwJMQN&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqIm_BhDnARIsAKBYcmsZOengz4NFStC14G_b2eziJgYpA8kGt2sokaR9i3PcTxs0QmcaPosaAtbGEALw_wcB

Today, I'm sharing something deeply personal and serious—my stalker story. For over a year, Timothy C. (we can share his full name soon if need be) has been physically stalking me, and his digital harassment goes back even further. Law enforcement is now involved, but I wanted to update you all in case anything happens to me—so there's no question about who did it. This episode isn't just about my experience; it's also about the reality of stalking, the dangers of obsession, and the importance of taking threats seriously. Stay aware, stay safe, and let's talk about it all, shall we?—https://noblegoldinvestments.com

Tune in as we get into the legend itself and some personal experiences at the bridge. Blue Canary: For Cops By a Cop

Leading UpGeneral William T. Sherman once said "We have good corporals and good sergeants and some good lieutenants and captains, and those are far more important than good generals."Sherman recognized the importance of leading up.What is leading up? It's providing leadership in an organization from a position of lower authority. It's understanding the role played by various members of an organization and how to properly and effective work within that organization. This is more commonly referred to as Followership.Followership at its core is the individual's willingness to go along with a leader. There willingness to follow. But it is much more than that.We put tremendous emphasis on leadership. Hell, my entire season 5 is focusing on leadership, but we often forget the importance of the follower. Without followers there are no leaders. It is said that all leaders are followers, but not all followers are leaders. And that is an interesting thought. The concept behind this is that to be a successful leader, you must know how to follow. Taking that a step further you must realize that every leader has a boss. For example, in the public safety realm, every sergeant must report to a lieutenant. Every lieutenant reports to a captain. Every Chief of Police Reports to a Mayor or City Council and every Sheriff reports to the electorate.Everybody has a boss.Being a good follower will provide you with the skills necessary to help you be a good leader. Now let's look at the second part of that saying…not all followers are leaders.Another true statement. Some people are simply not cut out for leadership. They are not wired that way. They can be good followers, but refuse to accept some of the basic principles of leadership. Most people don't start out as leaders, they start out as followers but as they learn to be good followers they start learning the skills necessary to be leaders and grow. There are several essential qualities to an exemplary follower and we should always be looking to improve in these areas. Lets take a quick look at those essential qualities.

During this episode of " The Broken System Podcast"  we embark on a comprehensive journey through The Police Reports .  We uncover puzzling details that suggest the presence of multiple individuals at the scene.  Mark's distractions and interactions with others during the 911 calls raise serious concerns about the handling of the emergency.Drawing from the extensive police report compiled by Detective Ellenberg, we navigate through the twists and turns of the investigation. The initial narrative presented by those involved is put under scrutiny, revealing a carefully constructed story. However, as more information comes to light, inconsistencies emerge, challenging the credibility of key witnesses. One glaring issue that arises is the concerted effort to push a suicide narrative. Various individuals claim that DJ and Brandy had a history of suicide attempts, creating a narrative that aims to downplay any foul play. Yet, as we delve deeper, we uncover a multitude of inconsistencies in the 9-1-1 calls and witness statements that cast doubt on this explanation.Furthermore, the role of the medical examiner comes into focus. Limited by the information available and the constrained timeframe, the determination of suicide on DJ's death certificate muddies the investigation further.Restorers: A Water Street PodcastOver these short episodes, we will be introducing you to the heroes who are working in...Listen on: Apple Podcasts   Spotify Work from Anywhere: A Haworth Connect PodcastExplore the world of work, space, design, and all the ways we get things done.Listen on: Apple Podcasts   SpotifySupport the showCheck us out on Facebook InstagramTwitterOur Website - www.thebrokensystempodcast.comMusic By: Yevhen OnoychenkoMusic By: OYStudioIn order to tell our truths, information is gathered from various sources including but not limited to news articles, newspaper archives, blogs, social media, tv productions, police reports, court records, books, magazine articles, direct interviews, and more. Chaya Raichik, the creator of Libs of TikTok, says she has "had to file a few police reports from threats" that she received. "That's really part of the reason why I was anonymous to begin with, because as I started exposing all this stuff, the Left started coming after me and their reaction is not something that I ever expected," Raichik, author of the children's book, “No More Secrets: The Candy Cavern," says. "And then when I saw that, the backlash and the way that they just wanted to silence me in any way they can, I was like, 'I think I'm going to stay anonymous because this is actually pretty scary.'""But then of course, I was doxxed, so my name was shared and I couldn't really be anonymous anymore. But I think at this point, I view it as sort of a compliment," Raichik says. Raichik adds: If you're not getting attacked, whether that's in the form of death threats or just in the form of name calling, harassment, insulting, bullying, if you're not being the victim of any that on the Right, then I think you're doing something wrong.Raichik joins today's episode of "The Daily Signal Podcast" to discuss what she thinks has contributed to her page's success over the last two and half years, the most outrageous video she's ever seen on TikTok, and her response to people who say that she's anti-LGBTQ. Late Edition: Crime Beat Chronicles
Chapter 3: Digging deeper into the police reports - Who killed the monsignor?

Late Edition: Crime Beat Chronicles

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 31, 2023 28:39

Late Edition: Crime Beat Chronicles is a true crime podcast that pairs dramatic readings of articles with interviews conducted with journalists who covered the stories. For this set of episodes we're looking at a multi-part series from the Buffalo News Watchdog Team of Lou Michel, Dan Herbeck, and Mike McAndrew that launched Friday, Jan. 20, about a decades old murder of a Catholic Priest. The homicide went unsolved amid vague rumors of a cover-up. Read more: Keep up with the series as the articles are published Day 1: 'Father isn't coming': All was silent at the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse when the first few nuns filed into the small chapel and bowed their heads in prayer. It was 6:30 a.m. on March 13, 1966. But O'Connor, expected to arrive soon to perform the 7 a.m. Mass, never appeared. Read more Day 2: Three boys discover a body in Scajaquada Creek: The dead man's wallet was missing, but officers discovered he was Monsignor Francis J. O'Connor, 44, one of the most prominent priests in the Buffalo Catholic Diocese. Read more Day 3: His Impala is found, and police zero in on homicide: It took more than 14 hours before police located O'Connor's 1966 gray, four-door Chevy Impala. It was parked just over 1 mile away from where his body was found in an upscale neighborhood, two blocks north of Delaware Park, when it was found at 3:20 a.m. Monday, March 14, 1966. The possibility of suicide was soon replaced by homicide. Read more Day 4: A rising star's death is a 'staggering blow' to Catholic community: Monsignor Francis J. O'Connor rose from humble roots to become one of Buffalo's most influential priests, making his murder all the more shocking to the deeply Catholic community of the 1960s. For more than half a century, his unsolved murder has generated all kinds of speculation about the identity and motive of the killer or killers. Theories have included speculation about his sexual orientation to suggestions that O'Connor heard a confession about a sin so terrible that it put him in grave danger. Read more Day 5: A 57-year-old box of evidence reveals a case that goes cold: Inside a tiny interrogation room at the Buffalo Police homicide bureau, journalists, for two days, read and reread files, took extensive notes and compared details in reports. It became clear that what started out as a massive investigation involving dozens of detectives was suddenly halted without an explanation provided in the official reports or to the public. Read more Day 6: Renowned sleuth Leo Donovan oversaw murder investigation: Leo J. Donovan was no stranger to headline-making murder cases. By the time he retired in 1985, he had served as the chief of the Buffalo Police homicide squad longer than anyone in the department's history. During his 21 years in that position, Donovan headed investigations into about 4,000 unexplained deaths and homicides, including some of the most notorious crimes in Buffalo over the past century. But he was a relative newcomer to high-profile cases in 1966. Read more Day 7: A diocese journalist emerges as a suspect: Buffalo homicide detectives took a special interest in a young reporter for the Catholic Diocese newspaper after his boss was murdered. A day after Monsignor Francis J. O'Connor's body was found floating in Scajaquada Creek on March 13, 1966, detectives interviewed Robert Armbruster. He told them he was physically attracted to the priest, but had fantasized about taking an ax to his head, according to 56-year-old police reports obtained by The Buffalo News. Read more Day 8: Detectives chased tips around the clock after murder: Though so much of the work conducted by detectives would lead to dead-ends, the 56-year-old homicide file The Buffalo News reviewed in 2022 reflects meticulous police work was being carried out early in the probe. Read more Day 9: Did his sexuality have anything to do with his murder?: None of the Buffalo police reports on the unsolved murder of Monsignor Francis J. O'Connor identify him as being gay. But it is clear that homicide detectives wanted to know 57 years ago if homosexuality had anything to do with the crime. In reports on the 1966 case, detectives said they received information from fellow officers suggesting they look at criminals known to rob gay men and investigate gay bars for possible leads. Read more Day 10: A priest becomes a suspect in the monsignor's murder: The 56-year-old reports obtained by The Buffalo News revealed for the first time that the Rev. John D. Lewandowski was considered a suspect by police. And while the reports do not say why, there are clues that suggest reasons for focusing on Lewandowski. Read more Day 11: Priest suspected in murder was accused of molesting boys: Decked out in a skin-tight wrestler's uniform and high-top boots, Rev. John D. Lewandowski in the 1960s would sometimes hold weekend training sessions where he would teach wrestling moves to adolescent and teenage boys. But according to some of the seven men who decades later filed Child Victims Act lawsuits accusing Lewandowski of sexual abuse, the priest used the wrestling sessions to connect with victims he molested. They also recalled that Lewandowski told them he knew how to use wrestling moves to kill someone. Coming Tuesday Day 12: A trip to Bemus Point to fingerprint and interview wayward priest: Thirteen days after the murder of Monsignor Francis J. O'Connor, two of Buffalo's top homicide investigators traveled 70 miles through a snowstorm to conduct a highly unusual interview. Buffalo police homicide squad Chief Leo J. Donovan and Sgt. John C. Rapp visited a retreat house run by the Buffalo Catholic Diocese in Bemus Point, a popular vacation spot on Chautauqua Lake. There they would interview the Rev. John D. Lewandowski. Donovan's six-page account of the interview, dated March 26, 1966, is among the most fascinating reports in the O'Connor case file. Coming Wednesday More installments coming soon: Day 13: Diocese secretly used Bemus Point mansion to house molester priests Day 14: Suddenly, the murder investigation ends Day 15: Former prosecutor links a monsignor to murder Day 16: Could a Buffalo bishop shut down a murder investigation? Day 17: What became of two suspects in unsolved murder? Day 18: Family left in the dark about why murder went unsolved We certainly encourage you to subscribe to Late Edition Crime Beat Chronicles wherever you get your podcasts to catch all our upcoming coverage of the series as well as keep an eye on Buffalo News for the articles as they publish starting this weekend. On November 11th, 1982, 20-year-old Kathy Mae Goad took the day off work to run some errands in the Fort Worth, Texas suburb of Hurst. She never made it back to the east Fort Worth home she shared with her husband, who reported her missing that evening. The Fort Worth Police believed that Kathy had simply left her husband and more or less refused to investigate the case. But authorities in her Kentucky hometown felt very differently. They sent one of their best detectives to Texas to investigate. In the first two days of Commonwealth of Kentucky Attorney's Detective Glen Wood's visit, he uncovered information that strongly pointed to a suspect in Kathy Goad's disappearance. Twelve years after Kathy went missing, a mysterious letter sent to FWPD attempted to connect her case with one of the city's most talked about mysteries – the Fort Worth Missing Trio. Still, the 20-year-old has never been found and no one has ever been held accountable for whatever happened to her. Police records are showing that across the country, women are being stalked with Apple AirTags. When released the devices were touted as a way to help users keep track of missing items like your keys, wallet or car, but police reports are showing that some women were getting notifications that their phones were tracked by an AirTag they didn't own. In some of those cases they could identify a man in their lives, usually an ex-partner, they suspected were trying to track them. Samantha Cole, tech reporter at Motherboard, joins us for how some are using them as stalking tools.   Next, the military has long had a special relationship with the Jeep, specifically the WWII Jeep. In 1940 the Army was taking bids for a new military vehicle and settled on a design by the Willys-Overland company that would be produced by Ford. How it got its name? The common belief is that it comes from the abbreviation of “G.P.” which was a common term of any military vehicle. The Jeep even drove up the Capitol steps. Miranda Summers Lowe, contributor to Task and Purpose, joins us for how the Jeep became America's favorite military vehicle. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hey, Neighbor! The Podcast Ninja (Luke) shot a deer. Silas wants a quesadilla. And we've been decorating for Christmas... After all of that, we get busy talking about WHATEVER WE WANT, because we can draw connections with any two ideas if we think about it long enough! (Send us your suggestions for two seemingly-unrelated topics. We will tell you how to make them connect. It'll be fun.) There's a meme that sometimes makes the rounds saying, “People will provoke you until they bring out your ugly side—and then play the victim because you went there!”   John says it's never appropriate to display your “ugly side”—especially if you're going to blame others for your behavior. That's what prisoners with criminal mindsets do. Before we share a quote like this one, we should ask ourselves if we still agree with the sentiment when it gets spoken by someone we don't like... Sidenote: if you can't see things from another person's perspective, you won't be able to make comedy. You need to know what people think the truth is--and you also need to know what the ACTUAL truth is--so you can reveal where the absurdities lie. It's silly to say that it's okay to be an abuser as long as someone else abused you first. Two wrongs don't make a right! Later: we have another story to share, but how can we make them connect? We unpack a small scandal in the Pro-Life community. (Click to visit Abby Johnson's Facebook post that we reference.) What should we do when someone tells a story that makes a GREAT pro-Life message, but the details can't be verified? What if the woman starts a non-profit and asks for donations and travels the country to share her testimony, but there are doubts about her story? And, most importantly: why would a person claim there's a police report to prove her claim, but she shouldn't have to share it?... Thanks for visiting today, Neighbor Pkarlgh! Remember to write to nextdoor@johnbranyan.com with your suggestions for random topics that would be difficult to relate with each other.
