She is the CEO and co-founder of Leemons, a startup born in May 2021 with the goal of transforming the digitalization of learning in educational centers with its innovative SaaS LMS platform. We talk about: How the lack of innovation in the LMS/LXP segment pushed her to create the company, that you need to be ready to move fast in an uncertain market, how peer connections help to maintain mental health and get support, how she raised the 1,5M EUR….and lots more. That the companies that are developing this kind of software for the educational centers don't need to innovate at the same level that the e-commerce, travel or banking industries. But, there are a lot of startups that are trying so hard, that have great products and they are now in danger to close because the market is difficult and the moment is very complicated. So even though you have a secret sauce, you need to be prepared always to move, move forward because things are not easy, not easy in this industry. We know a lot about a person, to whom we want to sell a T-shirt. But, we don't know anything about a person who wants to learn something new. So it is a bit stupid that educational centers are not learning organizations when they are teaching all the time. Artificial Intelligence is the hot topic for 2023. Useful applications seem to be popping up daily, and existing platforms, like Canva and Microsoft, are creating new "magic" features within their existing apps. Before technology we had 1 method of instruction: Classroom based learning with student/teacher guides. But as technology and the internet began to grow the world gained many new options. Sadly, this initially led to thoughts of learning solutions that would replace the classroom and the instructor. Today, we've all, finally, accepted the fact that learning is a long term process. One training event cannot truly be the only event required for the realization of business impact. We now mix and match self-paced eLearning segments, shorter classroom experiences (sometimes online), and mobile reminders or micro learning. Communicating clearly is probably the most difficult thing anyone can do in business. Our job as Instructional Designers is often to make better communication happen under the guise of "we need everyone to be better trained on _______". It doesn't matter what level you are at within your training team or the overall organization. Everyone from the new intern to the experienced CLO needs to improve their ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts in order to influence others into action. The corporate 9 to 5 isn't for everyone, and never has been. In a post-pandemic world nobody is even really sure what "work" looks like any more. Are you going back into the office?
