Ep 214 RPM - Goal Setting That Works Motivation is great, ambition is wonderful, but how do we capture the energy and direct it consciously to get a result?  I have spent years testing different goal-setting / organizational tools and recently was introduced to Tony Robbins' RPM goal-setting process.  It is one of the best overall goal-setting methodologies I have ever seen and includes a key item that I have never seen in any other goal-setting tool (that is a game-changer).  Today I break down what it is and how you can get started using it today!    OVERCOMING GRADUATION SHOW NOTES:  To subscribe to the podcast, search for "Overcoming Graduation" on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, or Google Play. Think of all the areas in your life that you have tried again and again and keep getting the same result.  Sometimes, it is not more effort, but a different approach we need to get a new result. Ep 207 They're Counting on You What's very interesting is the dichotomy we face when we want to help people.  We can simultaneously crave success, crave growth, crave to be making an impact, and at the same time be afraid to have people counting on us.  We can go from celebrating a growing audience to resenting the audience for "expecting so much" of us.  In today's episode, I will share one of the greatest secrets I have learned about this and how to get through some of the darkest times in our lives.  Tune in today to find out more about it!   OVERCOMING GRADUATION SHOW NOTES:  To subscribe to the podcast, search for "Overcoming Graduation" on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, or Google Play. Overcoming Graduation Ep. 55 Acorn or Tree? How to Shift Into Your True Identity Identity is something we all struggle with. There are times where we feel like we can't let go of who we were and how we acted. We feel like our past actions will always dictate our future results. Kyle Cease offers a different opinion.  Kyle Cease, known for his work as a stand up comedian and having the number one Comedy Central Special now is taking a different route in combining motivational speaking with comedy. He is one of the funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  In today's episode I share a story about a video that Kyle shared recently on his Facebook page telling the story of the Acorn and the Tree. In this story, he uses the acorn to create a beautiful metaphor explaining how we can let go of our old limiting stories in belief and step into the identity we know we are meant to. This was a game changer for me and came at the perfect time. I hope this empowers you to step into your greatness today!  Ask yourself, what is one belief I could let go of today that would free me to step into my true identity today? Then she dealt with bullying and abuse from not just students at school but also the teachers. On top of all of this, she began being sexually abused and raped by a family member at the age of 4 until she was 12. All of this pushed her to attempt to commit suicide but one day, something amazing happened and everything changed. Now, Zuly uses her story and her art to change people's lives and touch their hearts.  In spite of all the challenges she faced, Zuly is now an accomplished artist, using her mouth to paint incredible works of art, a motivational speaker, and a person who travels the world speaking at businesses, prisons, schools, and churches telling everyone, "If I can overcome what I did, you can too!"  In today's interview, Zuly will discuss:  - The challenges she faced growing up in poverty in Columbia without arms of legs - How she was able to overcome bullying, sexual abuse, and rape to travel the world and inspire people with her incredible story - How one person can be the "angel" that saves another's life - Why no matter what life throws at you, you can overcome anything  - How to pursue your dreams no matter what life throws your way And so much more!    To learn more about Zuly visit the links below: ZulySanguino.com Zuly's Facebook Page  A video about Zuly and her life   To subscribe to the podcast, search for "Overcoming Graduation" on Itunes or on Stitcher.  If this episode was of value to you, please like, share, give a rating, and provide feedback on the show. They could be a nurse, flight attendant, teacher, secretary, or wife. In her household, her parents didn't believe in educating women but Lane decided not to accept the story that the world was presenting her and took a different route.   She went on to not only graduate college but also get her MBA. When her office ID badge started to feel like a 20 pound weight around her neck, she knew it was time to make a change. She left corporate America and began consulting. Her successful consulting career came to a screeching halt when a traumatic car accident changed her life forever. Overcoming Graduation Ep. 30 Jenna Phillips: On Coaching Ben Stiller, Katy Perry and More as a Total Wellness Philosopher Her client list includes Ben Stiller, Donald Penn (of the Oakland Raiders), Emilia Clarke (Khaleesi of Game of Thrones), Jeremy Piven, Katy Perry, Mark Hoppus (of Blink 182), 3 Saudi Arabian Princesses, Michael Rappaport, and more! She's been featured on Dr. Phil, in Allure magazine, and in Beauty News LA. Most impressive of all? SHE DID ALL OF THIS WITHOUT A TRADITIONAL 4 YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE!  At just 32 years of age, Jenna uses her fitness training experience to build up clients in ways that have impacts that reach far beyond simply improving their physical bodies. Check out the quote below from her website:  "I coach my clients based upon the foundations of Self Love and responsibility. Through my coaching, they discover their inner superhuman and leadership. I take them on a journey of self discovery and personal growth while old, limiting beliefs are uprooted and broken through. All relationships in their lives are healed and strengthened."   Today Jenna and I discuss:  - How school didn't feel like the right path for her to learn what she needed to, so she focused her SELF-education on things in life that truly excited her and learning as much about those things as possible - One technique you can do today to immediately improve your self love - How to discover what your meant to do in life and how you can start taking steps towards making it a reality - How Jenna overcame a dramatic head trauma and finding out she had type 1 diabetes, then used the lessons from those experiences to grow stronger and help others  - How to shift your focus from "I'm not going to," to "How can I"?  - What is the highest level of wisdom we as humans can achieve  - The unconscious knowledge that exists inside of all of us   - Jenna's words of wisdom she would have given herself back in her early twenties, knowing everything she knows now (and even a special bonus piece of advice specifically for YOU)  - And so much more!
