Roy L Hales - Andrea Padovani is a professional artist who has been living on Cortes for much of the last 17 years, but there is a sense in which his show ‘Deep Breath,' which opens in the Old Schoolhouse Art Gallery this Friday, is his introduction to the larger island community. He explained, "I have a problem  expressing my real deep feelings  in a conversation, if you really want to know me, look at my paintings. That this really represents a hundred percent of what I am."  Cortes Currents: Do you find people get it?  Andrea Padovini: "10 percent."    "It took me 17 years before I really understood and allowed myself  to go and to really portray the different beauty of Cortes.  Obviously I could do the first year, but that would've been a technical expression. What I'm going to show in my show is the way in which I see Cortes."

He learned his craft by taking as many photographs as possible and submitting them to photo editors and hope that they would use the image for a story.During his career Peter has photographed the great and the good. Peter toured with the band and went to the iconic CBGBs in New York. Mel Brooks Pulled a “Goochie” at Peter in protest at the noise made by the camera, this image was captured and is iconic.Making requests of appropriate authorities Peter was able to spend time with the Paras, On a submarine and flew as a passenger on an F1-11! Having a brass neck was the greatest asset that Peter has!Pete Townsend and David Essex posed for Peter at the Cannes Film Festival. He snapped an image of David Cassidy as he left a theatre in Leicester Square.He was invited by the producer of Shout at The Devil to photograph Lee Marvin and he went on to meet Roger Moore and Barbra ParkinPeters career was placed in jeopardy when he was violently assaulted by 3 Sunderland fans. Con la alianza del PLD y la FUPU todavía en el limbo, Danilo reconociendo que el PLD se juega la supervivencia y la JCE bajando temprano de la guagua a Ranfis Trujillo, la noticia del cambio en la dirección de la policía resulta en un hecho común. Más común si una empresa ganadora de una licitación cuestionada para la adquisición de semáforos amenaza con apagar la capital y horas después  el nombre que dice representar desnuda que para más hacer han falsificado firmas y utilizado el nombre de manera irregular para no decir fraudulenta. El lío de los semáforos ha pasado de amarillo a rojo para el director del INTRANT y no sé si puede aparecer otro color luego de conocer el escrito publicado ayer por noticias SIN en el que la empresa Transcore LLC que ha instalado semaforos en varias ciudades norteamericanas se desliga de la del mismo nombre local y latinoamericano, se desliga del señor Pedro Vinicio Padovani Baez, el gestor local, y para más decir le atribuye la falsificacion de firma de uno de sus ejecutivos. El documento presentado por la firma Pellerano y Herrera desnuda para no decir encuera al señor Padovani y su socio que han utilizado a la empresa Norteamericana Transcore LLC como su referencia de éxito para ganar una millonaria licitación. En la tarde cuando trascendió la amenaza del abogado de Padovani, el inefable Carlos Balcacer, en la que advierte a los capitaleños que salgan temprano porque hoy todos los semáforos estarían apagados, le dije a la colega Milly Uribe que tales palabras eran un atentado contra la seguridad pública. Yo no sé si las autoridades pueden o deben proceder en un caso así porque es de todos conocidos que Balcacer es contratado por sus habilidades histriónicas para defender a personas que casi siempre son vistas como culpables, pero amenazar con alterar el tráfico y el tránsito es casi terrorismo. Si alguien se anima a defender hoy esa licitación hay que darle un premio por pechú. Si alguien osa atribuir el fracaso del proceso de licitación  a Compras y Contrataciones  hay que recordar la defensa que hizo Vincho Castillo de Ramón Baez Figueroa cuando atribuyó a los supervisores la responsabilidad por no evitar un desfalco millonario en el que alguien tomó el dinero y lo gastó. Según Vincho el que cogió lo que no era suyo y lo usó no era el responsable sino el que tenía que mirar para allá. Es un buen día para recordar eso y es un buen día para sentirse bien. Llevense de mi avanzamos a pesar de nosotros mismos.

No hay nada más difícil en comunicación que decirle a alguien que lo que le conviene es callarse. Esa recomendación va contra el instinto humano básico que es reaccionar a lo que entiende va en su contra. Quienes por alguna razón trabajamos como asesores de comunicación de empresas debemos hacerlo con frecuencia y los ricos protestan pero lo hacen, porque al fin y al cabo tienen conciencia de que contratan a un consejero porque le aporta conocimiento. Ese callar que los empresarios admiten tranquilamente no lo hacen los políticos que casi siempre entienden que saben todo de todo. El caso del director del INTRANT, Hugo Beras y la ratificación de la defensa del contrato para la semaforización inteligente indica que o no está bien asesorado o no atiende a quienes le asesoran porque lo que le corresponde es callar para evitar un ruido que no se puede contener. El aporte de la colega Tania Molina publicado ayer en Diario Libre deja claro que un empleado de la entidad renunció, creó una compañía y esa compañía ganó un concurso por una milonga de mil trescientos millones de pesos a pesar de que su capital es de apenas un millón. Eso es como que yo aspire a comprar un edificio cuando tengo los fondos para una habitación. Los documentos también evidencian que la empresa se registró en el país en julio de 2022, justo en la fecha en que Pedro Vinicio Padovani renunciaba de su cargo en la entidad, y apenas meses antes de que se abriera el proceso de compra que ganó. La nota de Molina explica que en el Intrant, Padovani estuvo asignado a la Dirección de Movilidad Sostenible, que, según describe en su propia página web, es la "facultada para la realización de estudios y levantamiento en campo a fines de mejorar la movilidad del tránsito". Eso significa que tenía información privilegiada sobre las necesidades y sobre el proceso. La empresa Transcore Latam, SRL., obtuvo su registro mercantil el 7 de julio de 2022 y según este, sus socios son Transcore LTE, LLC, representada por Jorg Brinkmeyer, y SIC Transporte, LLC, representada por Padovani Báez, quien también es su gerente y la persona autorizada a firmar, además de poseer la mayoría de las acciones. La nota de ayer del INTRANT indica que en la licitación se cumplieron todas las reglas y a lo mejor es verdad, pero si de algo sabemos en RD es que las reglas se pueden acomodar para que alguien salga beneficiado. Fasting is a major environmental cue across the animal kingdom. Yet, how it impacts on 3D genome organization is unknown. Here, we show that fasting induces a tissue-specific, reversible and large-scale spatial reorganization of chromatin in C. elegans. This fasting-induced 3D genome reorganization requires inhibition of the nutrient-sensing mTOR pathway, a major regulator of ribosome biogenesis. Remarkably, loss of transcription by RNA Pol I, but not RNA Pol II nor Pol III, induces a similar 3D genome reorganization in fed animals, and prevents the restoration of the fed-state architecture upon restoring nutrients to fasted animals. Our work documents the first large-scale chromatin reorganization triggered by fasting and reveals that mTOR and RNA Pol I shape genome architecture in response to nutrients. That paved the way for passing the far-right board's discriminatory bathroom policy. The Board even went as far as calling the local police, who were overheard saying “what are we doing here?” At the same Pennridge meeting, community members and teachers showed up in large numbers to demand the board negotiate in good faith with the teachers' union. The teachers' contract is set to expire at the end of June.  Meanwhile public comments became heated again in the Central Bucks SD school board meeting on Tuesday. Community members and parents spoke out against the Board's use of a far-right Christian Law Firm to produce a report about the board's discriminatory LGBTQ policies. Several people also accused right-wing members of the board of bullying and abusive behavior toward other members of the board and the community.  The PA primary elections are this coming Tuesday, May 16. The future of the Pennridge School District is on the line as is the future of many school boards across the Commonwealth. If you are not registered, it's too late to register for the primaries. Chiara Padovani is a social worker, tenant organizer and human rights activist running to be the next city councilor in York South Weston, endorsed by Climate Justice Toronto. In this episode, we spoke to Chiara about the leap from grassroots organizing to electoral politics and her ongoing campaign. I corleonesi hanno il controllo di Cosa Nostra, dunque di una buona fetta della Sicilia. Ma a Palermo, lo Stato sta preparando il suo attacco più forte e concreto: sulla base della sentenza-ordinanza del giudice istruttore Giovanni Falcone (assieme al collega Paolo Borsellino), il 16 dicembre 1987 la Corte d'Assise condanna 346 imputati per un totale di 2665 anni di reclusione. “E' il primo grande processo contro la mafia!” sottolinea Marcelle Padovani. La giornalista francese è tornata sull'isola, gira un reportage, scrive di nuovo un articolo sul giudice “illuminista” che le sta diventando amico. E ancora una volta ne sottolinea “la solitudine”, in particolare dopo il fallito attentato alla casa di vacanza all'Addaura. Il clima per il magistrato è pessimo, non solo per le minacce di Cosa Nostra, ma soprattutto per i veleni interni alla procura, per le allusioni e le insinuazioni che gli rendono il lavoro impossibile. Falcone accetta  il trasferimento a Roma come direttore degli Affari penali al ministero di Giustizia. Ed è in questo contesto di lontananza e isolamento che la mafia mette a punto la sua vendetta: la strage di Capaci, 23 maggio 1992. L'ultima volta che Marcelle lo incontra lui le confessa che tornare in Sicilia è pericoloso: “Ma ho voglia di rivedere la pesca del tonno…”. All'indomani dei funerali, Padovani scrive il suo ultimo servizio su Falcone: “La mort en face”. “Mi sono detta, devo raccontarlo così come l'ho conosciuto; la morte per lui non era un argomento estraneo”. E a Palermo chi ci resta? “Si è istituita una rete di solidarietà, di amicizia, di comune credo negli stessi ideali – sono parole di Falcone -, che sicuramente prescinde dalla mia persona. E che non sarà disperso…”
