Ed relates his 4-day adventure in the much-reported-on Phuket Sandbox. But spoiler alert: It wasn't a great trip, mostly due to bad luck: it was gray and rainy almost the entire time, thus denying him quality beach time. Oh well.  But what was not bad luck was the way that the Thai government has marketed the Sandbox. The Tourism Authority of Thailand has repeatedly stated that Phuket is ‘open' to tourism as of July 1st, and Ed took that to mean that the most popular area on the island, Patong, would actually be ready for tourists. Alas, this was not the case, with only a third of restaurants open and 95% of everything else closed.  With bad weather and not much to do, the trip was more or less doomed, but a glimmer of hope presented itself with a chance meetup with friend of the podcast Dan Fraser, travel expert extraordinaire, who coincidentally has been hired by the TAT to market Phuket to foreign tourists. Dan was able to explain that the TAT was focusing on ‘non-beach activities' on the island of Phuket, such as environmental tours, museums, and local arts and culture events. Ed and Greg discuss this approach and largely agree with the TAT's strategy; Ed just wishes he knew about it before booking a hotel in Patong. :) Don't forget that Patrons get the ad-free version of the show as well as swag and other perks. And we'll keep our Facebook, Twitter, and LINE accounts active so you can send us comments, questions, or whatever you want to share.

Introduction. This is a collection of stories about The Mango Resort. Each chapter will be a different story or event of which I intend keep running as an ongoing series. The themes may involve Husband and Wife sharing, BDSM, Cuckold, Swinger and Fetish clubs, Dogging, Watersports, Drug use, Beast, Transgender and many other fetishes... So if these subjects offend you in any way… Please do not read Excerpt... She came running out of his room screaming abuse, then threw his severed cock into the Ocean. Trevor staggered out the room clutching a white towel covered in blood to his stump, trying to stem the flow but the blood was going everywhere. And as the other guests came out of their rooms to see what the commotion was all about, the girl had run along the balcony, down the steps, jumped on her motorbike and was gone. Karl's the name and I'm the new owner of The Mango Resort, a nice little hotel with a pool, surrounded by tropical trees and coconut palms. I fell in love with it three years ago as soon as I saw it, nestled in the hillside with the long balcony directly overlooking the ocean, in a secluded bay between Patong beach and Laem Sing beach in Phuket, Thailand. The previous owner was a German and he'd split up with his wife who'd basically bankrupted him (surprise surprise). Anyway he wanted to move back to Germany, so I did a deal and gave him Two million Baht, about 98,000 Australian dollars and agreed another two million over the next two years. But I actually cleared the final payment within the first year by selling my pad in Brisbane and still had loads of dosh left over in the bank in case it all went tits up. Luckily the hotel was held in a Thai company, so his stupid Thai wife ended up with fuck all and I'm also protected from the “gold diggers” who think they can just fuck your brains out and then try to get their hands on the hotel or your cash. However, the German guys wife did have a good run for five years and wasted most of his savings. So that's how I ended up living in Paradise on the ocean in Phuket and boy... have I got some stories to tell...! Currently just turned fifty and was married to a Thai for six years previously, but like most guys... I'd had enough with her gambling and wasting money and divorced her a couple of years ago. We lived together in Australia and to be honest the sex was fucking amazing and she couldn't get enough. She's now living with a mate back in Oz and good luck to them... We used to have threesomes most weekends but like it always does with Thai women, as soon as things started getting weird, we split up and she moved in with him. My mate and I still talk and they've even been out here on holiday where we all slept together as a threesome just like old times. With our sixth trip back to Thailand, we had a chance to explore with our friends that were visiting from the US. In this episode, we discuss Muay Thai fighting, street food, the adult life options, and why Pattaya is built for the male western traveler. Beaches, beer, and scooters. Buckle up. Main Topics Covered: Bangkok Koh Samet Pattaya Why Thailand Rocks Links Mentioned in the Episode: Google Fi - the best phone plan for international travelers Nixplay - unbelievable digital frame to share all of your travel photos Our friends, Chris and Arlene, joined us for ten fun-filled days in Thailand.  If you want more details on Bangkok (this was our 6th trip) check out Podcast 8: In LOVE with Bangkok (and a Visit to the Hospital).  Sukhumvit is our favorite place to stay when in Bangkok.  The Patpong Night Market is wild as hell and a ton of fun. Wat Pho (Temple of Reclining Buddha) is a must-visit location in Bangkok.  Scooters are part of the culture and a great way to see the city and get around.  Koh Samet has beautiful views, an authentic vibe, and plenty of beaches to chill on.  Ao Phrao Beach is the best beach on the island of Koh Samed and is clean, warm, and clear.   We have also visited Ko Phi Phi Islands, Thailand (Incredible Beaches) which are more active than the quiet Koh Samet vibe.  Pattaya is an adult playground with plenty of nightlife options.  Muay Thai Fighting is a must-see event if you love sports. The competition is fierce and the rituals are fantastic. We attended Max Muay Thai for 2,000 baht each. Yes, the price is steep but it was well worth it.  Pattaya is different in Patong with the range of bars and size. We discuss The Insane Nightlife of Patong, Thailand (What to do in Patong 2018). Both are crazy in their own way.  Sign up for our Newsletter to get the latest tips in Travel and hear about our weekly visits around the world
