Hey friend, it's Dex, and we're back with another episode of So What Now? — where the convos are deep, the laughs are loud, and the side-eyes are always earned. This week, we kicked things off with a little life catch-up. I ran a Hyrox race (yes, me — running, sweating, questioning my life choices), while Carla was out here being the hostess with the mostess for Easter. Deviled eggs were served, auntie gossip was flowing — it was fabulous.  Then we got into that trending Traci Ellis Ross interview. Traci said, “I grieve the things that I thought would be and that are not.” No husband. No kids. And sometimes, sadness about that. So Carla asked the big question: Did we self-love ourselves into loneliness? She feels a woman needs male partnership. I said… let's pause. Alone doesn't have to mean lonely. And then I hit her with the real one: How exactly would a romantic relationship improve your life, ma'am? What do you need more than me? Let's talk about it. After that emotional rollercoaster, we had to pivot to something wild — the whole Shannon Sharpe situation. And listen… we are not as freaky as we thought we were. Period. We're watching it all unfold, and it's a ride we did not ask to be on. Then we wrapped with a few listener letters from a mama who's at her wits' end with her grown daughter who refuses to follow the rules. To besties battling over a man, ew!   Tune in, tap in, and DM us your thoughts — because chile, we had thoughts. Let's get into it. CONNECT WITH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: CARLA WILMARIS | DEX

I've been producing The Breakthrough Brand podcast for over 5 years now, and let me tell you, it's become one of my absolute favorite parts of my business! Funny enough, I  was re-listening to an old podcast episode to prepare myself for a speaking engagement earlier this week (at the time of recording), and I literally talked about how much JOY podcasting was bringing me 20 episodes in. Now 260 episodes later? That's STILL true for me. If you're even remotely considering starting a podcast this year, I cannot recommend it enough! But something that often hangs people up when starting a podcast is: what do I really need? What equipment should I buy? Then you hear about things like audio equalizers, mixers, audio interfaces, headphone amplifiers, acoustic treatments, and cables, and it becomes harder and harder to figure out what you need. But here's the truth: I do not use fancy equipment! So if you want someone to just TELL YOU what to use (instead of sharing all about the  1,000+ options there are out there), then this is the episode for you! Links Mentioned:- Grab my Free Podcast Equipment Guide: https://elizabethmccravy.com/record - Sign up for the Podcast Success Blueprint: https://elizabethmccravy.com/psb - Shop our Showit Website Templates (use code BBPODCAST for 10% off!): https://elizabethmccravy.com/showit-website-templates/ - Join me inside Booked Out Designer: https://elizabethmccravy.com/bod - Want the insider scoop? You gonna SIT, SOAK, AND SOUR? Nope. Action=Results Recently I was reading Hebrews 6: 7 “When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a good crop for the farmer, it has God's blessing.” I love that we can take one verse and look at words or phrases in it that can show us something about our lives. The rain soaks AND it will bear a good crop for the farmer. When you look at the phrase “bear a good crop” you look at the action. I did a deep dive on some synonyms for “bears” Action Produce Give forth Provide Yield Produce Supply Provide Generate I LOVE THAT!!!  Many of us have been soaking in the “professional development” for way too long. We've been soaking in our “masterminds”, we've been soaking in “what our coach said to do.” Is the soaking important? For sure yes, but it can turn sour if action is not taken. What action are you going to take to create Kingdom impact for others? I think you know what it is. IF it is enlarging your impact, giving people hope from your story, selling without feeling icky...consider a podcast!

Whether you've built your audience through content creation or by way of leveraging national media exposure, you have a massive opportunity in podcasting to expand your brand and business beyond the confines of social media. In this episode, I share my thoughts about what to consider when deciding between starting your podcast independently vs. signing with a network, how you can make money through sponsorships and listener support while waiting on your dream network offer, how to ensure you have massive leverage going into your first podcast network negotiation, and so much more! Ultimately, you'll need to assess the network offers coming into your inbox on a case-by-case basis (as there's no one-size-fits-all), but this episode is designed to help you ask the right questions when your first offer hits your inbox!MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODEProgrammatic Ads: https://www.podfluencercollective.com Apple Podcasts Subscriptions: https://podfluencerproducts.com/subscriptions Advanced Consultation: https://podfluencerproducts.com/advancedconsultation CONNECT FURTHER WITH ANGIE:Podcast: https://www.yougetwhatimsaying.com Listen Early and Dynamic Ad-Free on Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/44Y6rbYSocial Media: https://beacons.ai/theactualangie/socialmedia Contact: yougetwhatimsaying.podcast@gmail.com Monetize Your Podcast: https://beacons.ai/theactualangie/monetizeSupport the Show: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/yougetit/membershipPARTNER:This podcast is recorded using Riverside. I've dropped a podcast episode *every single day* since March 22nd. So that's almost six months of the Let It Be Easy podcast on the daily! Podcasting has opened so many doors for me internally and externally. It's unlocked different creative reserves within me. It's allowed me to use my voice more confidently. And it has brought me many beautiful connections I wouldn't have otherwise. And the feedback I receive from listeners moves me every day. Question for you today... Have you ever wanted a podcast of your own? If so, Cathy Heller is the only teacher I listen to on the topic of podcasting! And right now, you can still get in on her free bootcamp called "It's Time to Podcast." Jump on it and dive it here.Cathy didn't start her podcast until she was 37, and in 5 years, it has grown to almost 40 million downloads and now generates multi 7-figures (WOW)!Most incredibly, she didn't have an Instagram account when she began, an email list or a name people knew. She had 3 young kids (one who was 10 days old at the time!) and no marketing budget. All she had was one thing - a feeling within her that she wanted to put her message in the world.I know this - the best and most beautiful things start with a simple, powerful intention. It's enough. Join us!If you like this episode, please consider rating and reviewing the podcast on Apple Podcasts if you enjoy this episode! This helps to get the message out to more people just like you. And be sure to click the "Follow" button to get notified of updates. Also, I'm hosting a free workshop to show you how to coach yourself through life's challenges. Check it out here.
