Moon is back from California and Mexico, Rizz is out, and naturally the captain's chair immediately becomes a command center for delayed flights, stale cereal, deviled eggs, celebrity nonsense, video games, and a surprisingly passionate takedown of Gladiator 2. Welcome to another funny podcast where we somehow start with Southwest Airlines and end up debating whether a Steve Perry look-alike can spiritually become Steve Perry if the crowd believes hard enough.Moon kicks things off with the glamorous realities of modern air travel after seemingly every flight on his trip decided that “on time” was more of a suggestion. A canceled connection, rerouting through Dallas, delays into Los Angeles and another delay getting back to St. Louis gave him plenty of time to catch up on movies. Unfortunately, that included The Mandalorian and Grogu, which gets a very enthusiastic C-minus review. Somewhere, a Star Wars fan just felt a disturbance in the Force. Then we discover that Americans apparently hit an energy wall around 2:48 in the afternoon, which explains basically every email you've ever received after lunch. Rafe's sleep schedule is wrecked, Lern is fighting afternoon cravings with hard-boiled eggs, and that leads to perhaps the most important culinary advice ever delivered on a funny podcast: if you've already hard-boiled the egg, you're halfway to a deviled egg.“Scoop and gloop,” America. That discussion somehow turns into stale cereal confessions. Lern admits to eating old strawberry vanilla Chex after band practice while Rafe reveals that he knowingly ate stale Pops AND stale Golden Grahams. This is less a morning show and more four adults slowly admitting things that should probably stay between themselves and their pantries. Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities, where things get appropriately ridiculous. A woman is accused of stealing and crashing an ambulance outside an Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte concert. Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose gets some love. Gibson is releasing an extremely limited Billy Gibbons “Pearly Gates” Les Paul. Sean Ono Lennon welcomes his first child, making John Lennon and Yoko Ono grandparents for the first time. There's also a Matthew Perry documentary on the way, more Tulsa King, and the crew tries to understand the enormous world of people watching other people play video games.Speaking of gaming, Grand Theft Auto gets everybody talking about Twitch, streaming communities, gameplay fandoms, and the strange realization that watching someone else play a game can become an entire entertainment ecosystem. Scott even admits he made “multiple dollars” streaming, so please respect the media mogul.Hollywood keeps the nonsense rolling with Emmy gift bags, Marvel's mysterious Secret Wars casting, Hamnet, and Ridley Scott reportedly having some thoughts about Paul Mescal and Gladiator 2. That opens the floodgates because Rafe and Moon are more than happy to discuss just how much they hated that movie. Sharks in the Coliseum are put on trial. The verdict is not favorable. There's also a live-action Street Fighter movie coming with a completely unhinged cast, including Jason Momoa, 50 Cent, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Eric André and more. Apparently somebody looked at the casting board and selected “yes.”Finally, Journey brings Steve Perry look-alike Hugo Valenti onstage during shows in Japan, causing some fans to apparently wonder whether the real Steve Perry had returned. The crew listens to the results, and that goes exactly as respectfully as longtime listeners would expect.Throw in birthdays, Terry Bradshaw, Keanu Reeves, Salma Hayek, Rafe's increasingly dangerous wordplay, and all the other nonsense that somehow qualifies as broadcasting, and you've got another funny podcast from The Rizzuto Show.Delayed flights. Moon kicks things off with the full report from the Cali Country Cruise, sailing from Long Beach to Ensenada, Mexico. The lineup included Tracy Lawrence, Gretchen Wilson, Jo Dee Messina, Chase Rice and plenty more, while Moon performed with Sullivan. There were some musical highs, some musical... let's call them learning opportunities... and the revelation that Jo Dee Messina may have discovered the ultimate cruise hack: perform before the ship leaves and then GET OFF THE BOAT.Gretchen Wilson, meanwhile, delivered one of Moon's highlights of the entire trip with a killer performance and band. Unfortunately, the actual cruise experience wasn't getting the same review. We're talking pricey Wi-Fi that barely worked, a balcony-room mix-up, limited excursion options, fake Cuban cigars, a stage built over the pool and a tiny backup pool populated by people who apparently had no interest in ever getting out. From there, this funny podcast turns into a tour of America's most overrated attractions. Four Corners gets roasted. Mount Rushmore gets called smaller than expected. Times Square takes a hit. The Las Vegas Strip lands at the top of the list. Lern also reveals she once got emotional seeing Chicago's Bean, proving once again that public art can be powerful when it looks like a gigantic piece of silver produce.A swimmer at Lake Tahoe reportedly gets attacked by an otter and requires 38 stitches, prompting Rafe to immediately begin defending the otter because apparently wildlife now has legal representation on The Rizzuto Show. Then there's a possible shark attack near the Massachusetts location associated with Jaws, followed by the deeply upsetting story of a woman waking from a dream about a mouse crawling toward her mouth... only to discover there was actually a BAT near her mouth. We also discover a Hawaiian shirt designed to confuse AI-powered surveillance cameras, which means Weird Al may have been preparing for the surveillance state this entire time.Missouri and Illinois get dragged into America's "worst vibes" rankings before the crew investigates which states hate each other the most. Missouri's answer? Kansas. Obviously. Centuries pass, civilizations rise and fall, and Missouri will apparently still find time to be annoyed by Kansas.Moon kicks things off with the glamorous realities of modern air travel after seemingly every flight on his trip decided that “on time” was more of a suggestion. Still dealing with this crud in my sinuses. Tired of blowing my nose…coughing…and mouth-breathing. Also had a very interesting night thanks to our most recent attempt to form a neighborhood association last evening. In the news this morning, Frank Beard of ZZ Top passed away, a crazy person in a mask filmed himself chasing & terrorizing people, a couple on a cruise ship attacks a family that asked them to quiet down, human remains are found at Lake Mead because of drought, a recall on frozen fruit bars, and a frat-bro cocaine trafficking ring! In sports, the Brewers thoroughly dominated the Mariners with a historic beatdown yesterday, a look at the NFL's preseason week 2 schedule, the league is definitely going to be adding one…if not more…teams internationally, the founder of ESPN passes away at age 93, and next year's WNBA All-Star Game is coming to Ball-halla! We talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight. Plus, Liquid Death & Garage Beer are teaming up to help cool down A.I. data centers with your pee-pee…Tom Holland is raking in the dough thanks to the new Spider-Man movie, and a recent study conducted by Harvard University found a direct link from new album releases to increased car crashes! A few "hero rats" are part of a new exhibit at the Sacramento Zoo…and Olympic Gold Medalist Jordan Chiles returns to her high school to thank her for the lasting impact she made on her life. Hump Day means "One Gotta Go Wednesday", and this morning's edition was all about party apps!! Which one would you get rid of FOREVER???? Deviled eggs? Pigs in a Blanket? Grape jelly meatballs? Slow-cooker lil' smokies? Or Wisconsin sushi????? We also had not one…but TWO "Karens of the Day". A woman in Denver who got really pissed at a DoorDash driver. And a TV news anchor who got fired for her actions towards a former co-worker. Elsewhere in sports, an arrest has been made in the Greg Biffle theft case, Connor Zilisch signs with a new team, Amanda Anisimova had people wondering what she was drinking during a recent tennis match, and Cubs fans brawled with White Sox fans in the cheap seats. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMom who let her 11 year-old child drive her vehicle to a 7-11, a museum in Philly devoted to how awful people from Philadelphia can be, a guy who got upset with how long his order was taking at an Applebee's, a bear that broke into a woman's home & ate her leftover KFC, a woman who died and came back to life got a parking ticket, and a couple in Arizona who were stealing a bunch of books from the local library & then selling them.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

When Raechel Van Buskirk served up some creatively-flavored deviled eggs at her dive bar in Omaha, Nebraska, she had no idea that it would change her life. And what started as a way to drum up some business on Sunday mornings, would eventually lead to a chain of restaurants, national distribution and even an appearance on Shark Tank. Today, Raechel walks us through the whirlwind rise of her company, Deviled Egg Co., including the struggle of keeping a business going through Covid, the nerve-wracking preparation for her Shark Tank appearance, and how she's navigated the volatility in egg prices.

The healing power of Jesus is surely no secret. Unambiguously, Jesus is God and, thus, possesses the same healing power as the Father and the Spirit. One of the most unique accounts of Jesus' healing is told in the fifth chapter of Mark's Gospel, and it might double as the first report of deviled ham in history. A man who is possessed by a demon understands the power and authority of Jesus in this telling and, therefore, offers a grateful response of worship because of his healing, which could not be accomplished apart from Jesus Christ. In the same way, Jesus is the answer to all the world's problems. Without Christ, everyone would live to their own perpetual destruction. It is, nevertheless, the power of Jesus that heals, for only Jesus may take a person's devil and turn it into deviled ham. Here (Mark 5:1-20) is an account of Jesus' authority and recognition, several responses to Jesus, and the first recipe for deviled ham in history. To the first two elements (Jesus' authority and recognition), a call is offered to everyone: what will you do with Jesus? Ultimately, everyone will give an answer to what they did with the Son of God, and when that answer is short, Jesus will respond to them with, “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness” (Matt 7:21).

Welcome back to another completely normal episode of The Rizzuto Show — aka your favorite daily podcast where things spiral immediately and never recover. This one kicks off with what should have been a simple conversation about weather and PointFest… but quickly devolves into Rafe pitching a full-on deviled egg scavenger hunt across an amphitheater. Not plastic eggs. Not prizes. Actual deviled eggs. In public. In Missouri heat. You already know this is going nowhere good — and yet somehow we all kind of want to see it happen.Meanwhile, Moon shares the feel-good story of Punk Rock Disney — which immediately turns into a logistical nightmare involving circle pits, kids, and what we're now calling “lost parents.” Nothing says family fun like mild panic and crowd confusion. But the real main event? Prom night.Rizz takes on solo dad duty and is tasked with ONE job: get good prom photos. Sounds easy. It is not. What follows is a full breakdown of Forest Park at peak prom hour — traffic gridlock, thousands of teenagers, professional photo setups, and one man trying desperately not to become “that dad”… before immediately becoming that dad. Directing photos. Fixing ties. Taking over. You know, subtle stuff. And because the chaos wasn't finished, the night continues with the looming threat of becoming the “cool party house” — which Rizz shuts down immediately because liability is real and teenagers are… well, teenagers.Elsewhere in this daily podcast, the crew debates:• Why nobody should ever give out their email at checkout• The birth of the most ridiculous shared email address in STL history• Baseball etiquette (and why that one grandpa needs to relax)• Whether wearing the wrong team's jersey to a game is a crime• Restaurant experiences that range from classy to “why is Bob Seger playing right now?”It's relatable chaos, unnecessary arguments, and just enough heart to remind you why this daily podcast somehow works.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We're coming to you mid-snowstorm (40 inches in Rhode Island?! Are people just tunneling to Target at this point?) and somehow we start the episode with “we have nothing to talk about” which is always when things spiral the fastest. This week's chaos includes:  The wrinkle debate. What are those lines from your nose to your mouth and why are they suddenly… aggressive? Do we need facelifts? Frownies? Lymphatic brushes from TikTok Shop? Or is this just collagen packing its bags and leaving the chat? Red light therapy masks miracle or $500 mistake? Danna breaks down what it actually does (muscle recovery, inflammation, mood boost… allegedly), but then the ski-trip hot tub drama hits. Red dots. Panic Googling. Bed bug flashbacks. Lice PTSD. Turns out? Hot tub folliculitis. Antibiotics for everyone. Public hot tubs are officially cancelled. Farm update from the barn. Kristin is now the proud mother of two new lambs and still refusing to wash the overalls until lambing season is over. The coat has been washed (breaking news), but the pants may legally qualify as a biohazard. Progress is progress. Olympic feelings. We're not ready for the Olympics to be over. Hockey gold, missing teeth, heartfelt moments, and why the Winter Olympics are basically the unhinged best friend of the Summer Games. Leftovers for 20… from a dinner for 7. Shrimp. Deviled eggs. Soup. Pepperoni bread. A hot cheese dip situation. We may have catered our own podcast night. And we also share about a really cool networking opportunity our kids were part of because in between lice stories, hot tub bacteria, and lambs being born, we're still trying to raise capable humans. It's skincare confusion, farm chaos, mom spirals, and Olympic nostalgia, basically, peak Mismatched. New episode out now. Come laugh with us.

Hey friend, it's Dex, and we're back with another episode of So What Now? — where the convos are deep, the laughs are loud, and the side-eyes are always earned. This week, we kicked things off with a little life catch-up. I ran a Hyrox race (yes, me — running, sweating, questioning my life choices), while Carla was out here being the hostess with the mostess for Easter. Deviled eggs were served, auntie gossip was flowing — it was fabulous.  Then we got into that trending Traci Ellis Ross interview. Traci said, “I grieve the things that I thought would be and that are not.” No husband. No kids. And sometimes, sadness about that. So Carla asked the big question: Did we self-love ourselves into loneliness? She feels a woman needs male partnership. I said… let's pause. Alone doesn't have to mean lonely. And then I hit her with the real one: How exactly would a romantic relationship improve your life, ma'am? What do you need more than me? Let's talk about it. After that emotional rollercoaster, we had to pivot to something wild — the whole Shannon Sharpe situation. And listen… we are not as freaky as we thought we were. Period. We're watching it all unfold, and it's a ride we did not ask to be on. Then we wrapped with a few listener letters from a mama who's at her wits' end with her grown daughter who refuses to follow the rules. To besties battling over a man, ew!   Tune in, tap in, and DM us your thoughts — because chile, we had thoughts. Let's get into it. CONNECT WITH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: CARLA WILMARIS | DEX

Hard boiled. Over medium. Scrambled. Poached. Deviled. There are lots of ways to enjoy eggs, one of the most popular and least expensive sources of healthy protein available, but lately there has been only one way to describe them: expensive. In this episode of The Sourcing Hero podcast, Host Kelly Barner welcomes back Kris Lance, Vice President and Senior Director at Una, for a monthly conversation about current news stories. Kris has experience in multiple industries and has his finger on the pulse of the trends and topics that procurement, sourcing, and supply chain professionals need to be aware of. In this month's discussion, Kris and Kelly talk about gradual rise and sudden fall of egg prices in America:  What factors have contributed to the high and rising cost of eggs over the last few years Whether we are starting to see signs that those costs - and prices - are on their way back down Why procurement and supply chain professionals are uniquely positioned to be rational about supply shocks and the impact they have on consumers  Links: Kris Lance on LinkedIn Subscribe to Una's Procurement Newsletter, “The Sidekick” Episode 204: Hot Times in the Arctic Circle Episode 200: Fostering the Conditions That Lead to Success Episode 196: The Best of Kris Lance in 2024 Episode 192: The Surging Power of the Podcast Format

Hello! There are so many health benefits to eating nutrient dense foods and our family has really prioritized health the last few years as we have become aware of what is in store bought food more and more.  If there are more than a couple ingredients in anything you plan to buy-stay away from it and find an option to make it yourself.  I just heard a dentist say on a podcast that more kids are having tooth decay from goldfish crackers than candy!  I remember when I thought they were a good option to candy, so that was quite shocking to me!  Look at your ingredients! Here are just a few benefits:  Nutrient-dense foods are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, and other essential nutrients that your body needs to function properly. These nutrients play crucial roles in various bodily processes, including metabolism, immunity, and cell repair. Consuming a diet rich in nutrient-dense foods can help support overall health and well-being. Nutrients like vitamins A, C, and E, as well as minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium, are important for maintaining healthy bones, muscles, and organs. Nutrient-dense foods tend to be lower in calories compared to processed and high-calorie foods. This means you can eat larger portions of nutrient-dense foods without consuming excess calories, which can help with weight management and maintenance. A diet high in nutrient-dense foods has been associated with a reduced risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. The antioxidants and phytochemicals found in fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains have protective effects against oxidative stress and inflammation, which are underlying factors in many chronic conditions. Nutrient-dense foods rich in complex carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, provide sustained energy throughout the day. Unlike refined carbohydrates and sugary snacks, which can cause energy spikes and crashes, nutrient-dense foods help stabilize blood sugar levels and keep you feeling satisfied for longer periods. Many nutrient-dense foods are high in dietary fiber, which is important for digestive health. Fiber helps promote regular bowel movements, prevent constipation, and support a healthy gut microbiome by feeding beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract.   Here are some simple habits to nourish your body with nutrient dense foods. Make sure you start your day out with something packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber like leafy greens-they are great to add to smoothies or eggs in the morning.  You can add berries which are rich in antioxidants and fiber, nut milk or flax seeds provide healthy fats, protein and essential nutrients, and that is an easy way to stay filled up so you don't feel like you have to snack often and raise your blood sugar. Preparing nutrient dense foods so they are easy to grab is another simple habit to get into.  We like to make greek yogurt with raw milk which is high in protein, calcium and probiotics, we make our own granola with rolled oats because they are rich in fiber and antioxidants and can help support heart health and provide sustained energy.  We always have a bowl or 2 of boiled eggs because they are simple to grab and go and are high in protein, vitamins and minerals like b12 and selenium.  Deviled eggs are another great source and our family loves them.   Eat at home as much as possible.  A few years ago, we cut out all oils besides coconut oil, avocado oil and olive oil and when you get anything from a restaurant or deli, most likely they are not using high quality oils which makes such a big difference.  Simple nutrient dense foods such as fish or salmon which is rich in omega 3 fatty acids, protein and vitamin D is a great meal and supports heart health and your brain. Add some greens and sweet potatoes that are packed with vitamins a and c, fiber and antioxidants.  Meals can be so easy if you don't overthink it. When you are shopping, try to shop on the outside walls, most of the inner isles are not filled with nutrient dense food.   Source as much food from local farmers as possible.  You might pay a little more, but the quality of what you eat matters. Some other foods that are easy to add into your diet are avocados which are a great source of healthy fats, fiber, potassium, and vitamin E and C. Legumes such as beans, lentils and chickpeas are excellent sources of protein, fiber and various vitamins and minerals.  Cottage cheese is high in protein and calcium and makes a filling snack option.  Bell peppers are high in vitamin C and are great to add to many dishes such as eggs bakes, fajitas and such.  Cauliflower is great to sneak into any dish as well, i add riced cauliflower to smoothies, eggs, cheesy potatoes, and most dishes you don't even know it is in there, but it is great for digestive health. Some simple ways to prepare nutrient dense foods would be roasting, steaming, grilling, sauteing, raw, blending, and salads. These simple cooking methods can help you prepare nutrient dense foods in a delicious and enjoyable way.  Experiment with different ingredients and flavors to find combinations you love! Overall, incorporating a variety of nutrient-dense foods into your diet can contribute to better health outcomes, improved energy levels, and a reduced risk of chronic diseases. So Aim to fill your plate with colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and other nutrient-rich foods for optimal health and well-being.
