In 2018, Episode 1 of Oz-9 informed the fearless (or should it be fearful) listeners that It all began on an otherwise unexceptional Tuesday in 2042. Gated Galaxies fired off 400 of its Oz 8000™ ships, each with 50,000 “resting guests” tucked into stasis pods, plus a skeleton crew of up to half-a-dozen total no-hopers. This is the story of one of those ships, the Oz 9, and the utterly futile attempts of its crew to fulfill its stated mission: to deliver the passengers safely to their new, terraformed planet. Now, some-odd years and fifty plus episodes later, the podcasting MetaVerse collides, not unlike the actual Oz-9, as go behind the scenes of Oz-9 and discuss the possible-and-future Oz-9 comic book! This Bonus Episode is hosted by Kyle Jones with special guest Shannon Perry. We'll see you next time, Space Monkeys, Narrator 2...out!

Professor Frank Pasquale (Brooklyn School of Law) and Professor Steve Fuller (University of Warwick) debate whether humans should regulate artificial intelligence, and discuss the appropriate ways to safeguard the development of automation technologies. Whereas Fuller argued for a more proactionary approach to technological innovation - one that allows AI to developed unencumbered by the sorts of governance that might limit its scope. This debate was recorded for SingularityNET as part of their Decentralised OS Web Series. This Bonus Episode is not sponsored content. This Bonus Episode is the second of two LIVE Bible studies that I taught on fb during the time we were unable to meet in person. I invited listeners to join myself and the ladies of Solid Rock Baptist Church for our monthly Bible study. In this episode, I share lies that Queen Esther may have been tempted to believe. Lies that we too could fall prey to if we are not careful to guard our hearts and choose truth. Esther chose truth and fulfilled God’s purpose! Like Esther, we too were created for a purpose and "for such a time as this". In Christ, the world truly needs who you were created to be! We even touch on the additional provisions to employers such as IRC Section 139 changes that allow employers to help their employees out during this time of crisis, payroll deferment, sick leave, employee retention benefits and extended unemployment benefits. If we have our financial ducks in a row, now could be a great time to make some tax-advantaged moves. In This Episode We Cover:How to qualify stimulus checkHow much money people get on stimulus checkKey thing to keep in mind with stimulus checkCan people refuse the checkStimulus check for dependentsAre green card holders and H1B VISA holders who work and pay taxes eligible for these benefitsIRA versus 401k distributionThings to consider before converting funds from a traditional plan to a Roth planAre there any provisions for already retired peopleHow can an employer use the IRC Section 139, Disaster Relief PaymentsHow does provision work on student loansFamilies First Coronavirus Response ActEmployee Retention CreditsPayroll tax payment deferralAnd SO much more!Links from the ShowBiggerPockets Money Facebook GroupBiggerPockets ForumsBiggerPockets Real Estate PodcastBiggerPockets Money Podcast 118BiggerPockets Money Podcast 112

This Bonus Episode gets goes into the underbelly of queer world-building & what we do with language! I explain the difference between sex, gender, and sexuality, then break down the problem by assuming someone is “bi-sexual” instead of “non-binary sexual.” This is for the curious and for my friends that rant with me about this all of the time. If you're a queerdo like me, this is an idea about how we can better care for our queer folx. If you're not, it's a great way to dip into issues we face in queer studies, language studies, & queer communities. Ping me with questions, disagreements, and agreements -- I'll take all three kinds of feedback here :). Have fun and feel free to ID with me as a melting ice cream cone on a hot summer day by a lake in Michigan! Next time: how is romantic interest an additional, non-sexual layer to add onto the already over-represented trifecta? It’s like déjà vu all over again, as we traverse Time Loops! This Bonus Episode of the 11.22.63 Podcast spirals beyond all temporal reason, as hosts Skipper Martin and Christopher DeFilippis plumb the time travel sub-genre that we love to experience over, and over, and over, and over, and over… First up, the 1986 novel Replay, written by Ken Grimwood – which is about a man who dies in 1988 -- and wakes up as his younger self in 1963 -- and proceeds to cycle through that time period again and again. One of the 1963 segments even deals briefly with preventing the JFK assassination! After that, we tackle the short story “12:01 P.M.” by Richard Lupoff, and the Academy Award-nominated short film it inspired -- which you can watch below! Again, it’s about a man who finds himself in a time loop, living the same hour over and over again. We also examine Lupoff’s follow-up stories “12:02 P.M.” and “12:03 P.M.” -- which expand the premise. Then stick around as we discuss our personal favorite time loop stories. Yes, Groundhog Day is in there -- along with many of others! And, as always, there are detours, tangents, and feedback aplenty. You’ll want to listen again, and again, and again, and again…. Watch the Academy Award Nominated Short Film “12:01 P.M.”
