Ever been so emotionally dysregulated you've said something you didn't mean — or worse, made an impulsive decision you instantly regretted? If you've got ADHD, then of course you have. We know the drill. But imagine that decision being broadcast live on TV… to the world.Well, that's exactly what happened to today's guest.Back by popular demand (and because I could chat to him for hours) — it's round two with:8x Muay Thai World ChampionOne of the most sought-after coaches on the planetAnd the only man I know who can swallow 30 supplements in one mouthful without blinkingThe legend himself — Liam Harrison — joins me for another raw and real chat about ADHD, setbacks and staying in the ring, both literally and metaphorically. We talk about the split-second decision to retire after a loss… and the crash that followed. Was it impulsivity? RSD? A fight-or-flight reaction wrapped in adrenaline? Probably all of the above. But what I love most is Liam's honesty — the regret, the reflection, and the resilience to say: “Nah, I'm not done yet.”We untangled:How overtraining and burnout can sneak in under the mask of hyperfocusWhy routine is everything for ADHDers — and how losing it can unravel us fastThe chaos that can follow injury or retirement when movement has been your main dopamine fixWhat schools still get wrong about ADHD — and why celebrating talent outside the box is so crucialThe importance of spotting emotional dysregulation in young athletesThis episode is more than just a conversation about ADHD and sport. It's about extreme behaviour. It's about what happens when your whole identity is wrapped up in one thing… and that thing suddenly disappears. It's about resilience, rage, and rewiring. And it's about how just one person who gets it — a coach, a teacher, a partner — can change the entire direction of your life.Liam's story isn't just about fighting in the ring. It's about fighting to stay grounded, regulated, and connected — even when the ADHD brain wants to burn it all down.Want to learn more from Liam? How to Keep Going When Life Feels Impossible

Hacking Your ADHD

Over the last few weeks, it has been increasingly difficult for me to keep myself focused on what I want to be focused on. I don't think I have to particularly speak to the reasons; we're all handling the state of the world in our own ways - in many ways, it has a similar feel to the beginning of the pandemic, where I felt like I needed to pay extra attention to the news because so many people around me were ignoring the alarm bells. Trying to deal with all of this while also having to grapple with the cognitive dissonance of having to go on with real life while all of this is also going on at the same time can be incredibly difficult. It feels like we should be able to press pause on all the other things going on in our life.  But regardless of how we feel, time marches on. In today's episode, we're tackling how to navigate life when focus feels impossible, why we turn to numbing when we're overwhelmed, and most importantly, how we can break out of that cycle in a way that actually supports us. If you'd life to follow along on the show notes page you can find that at HackingYourADHD.com/212 The #1 ADHD Coaching app for teens and adults. Use code HACKINGYOURADHD for 30% of your first month! https://www.shimmer.care/ This Episode's Top Tips More than anything, I want to remind everyone to give themselves grace when they're going through something. We're not always going to get it right, but being hard on ourselves is never the right answer. Throughout your day, take a moment to check in with how you're feeling. We tend to ignore our feelings until they become something we have to deal with. Forget the "Go big or go home" mentality. Tiny changes—like five minutes of mindful breathing or a short walk—are more effective than drastic, unrealistic plans. When everything feels overwhelming, find support. Whether it's a friend, an online group, or a therapist, you don't have to handle everything alone.

Got ADHD? Do you struggle? Have you recognized how difficult it is to plan, make decisions and manage time?  In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, cognitive engineer and ADHD coach Jeff Copper (https://digcoaching.com) talks about ADHD as an executive function impairment and uses the metaphor of a jigsaw puzzle to put context around the condition. Imagine trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle using only descriptions you've read or heard. Now, imagine attempting the same puzzle using the picture on the box as a guide. The task of solving the puzzle without a picture illustrates the challenges of ADHD and the need to take it seriously so you can find solutions that work. If you are drowning in a sea of tips, tricks, and strategies, this is a show you won't want to miss.  Attention Talk Radio is the leading site for self-help Internet radio shows focusing on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and attention deficit disorder, including managing symptoms of ADHD in adults with ADD or adults who have children with ADHD. In this episode of ADHD reWired, I'm pulling back the curtain on two intertwined journeys: my own path toward sustainability and the incredible growth story of Jessica, an alumna of our ADHD Coaching and Accountability Groups. As I've navigated my own challenges with burnout and the pressures of juggling too much, I've made a commitment this year to focus on what matters most. My word for the year—sustainability—has reshaped how I approach my work, my energy, and even this podcast. Jessica's story adds another layer of depth to this episode. After feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected while pursuing her PhD, Jessica joined our fall coaching group. Through her deeply personal and reflective audio journal, she shares how the program helped her build sustainable systems, reconnect with her goals, and find the motivation to tackle her work and her life with renewed energy. From discovering the power of accountability teams to replacing old habits with more supportive ones, Jessica's transformation offers hope and inspiration for anyone seeking to live more intentionally with ADHD. This season, we've made changes to our coaching program to better support ADHDers like you. Now 8 weeks instead of 10, the program is more focused and accessible. We've also introduced on-demand access to our yearly planning sessions, allowing you to go at your own pace. These adjustments reflect the principle that less is truly more when it comes to creating meaningful and lasting growth. The final registration events for our Winter Coaching and Accountability Groups are Wednesday and Thursday of this week, so now is the time to take the next step. If you're ready to stop juggling fireballs and start building a more sustainable, ADHD-friendly life, visit to pre-register today. Tune in to hear Jessica's story, learn more about what makes our coaching groups so transformative, and find inspiration to start your own growth journey. Together, let's challenge internalized ableism and reimagine what it means to thrive with ADHD.
