Monday morning live with Natasa Denman featuring one of her amazing authors, Libby Andrew. Libby is a third-time published author, with all her books published through the Ultimate 48 Hour Author. Her latest work, Wallaroo 19, offers a deeply personal reflection on a pivotal ten-year period of her life when she played elite sports for Australia. Set against the backdrop of the early 1990s, the book delves into the development of women's rugby league and rugby union in Australia, offering a unique perspective on a time when these sports were traditionally male-dominated. While Wallaroo 19 is not an autobiography or an official history, it is filled with humor, candid stories, and raw emotion—capturing Libby's experiences both on and off the field. Through her personal accounts, readers get a glimpse of the blood, sweat, and tears she poured into playing a sport that was still finding its place for women. This book celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Wallaroos' first-ever test match in Australia, making it a tribute to the resilience and strength of women athletes who helped pave the way for future generations. 3 Key Takeaways: 1. Women rock and can do anything 2. We need to continue to promote women's sport to balance the inequalities between men's and women's sport 3. Persistence - not only in sports but when writing your book (my book 3 took me 5 years to complete!) This week, we explore a delightful mix of lifestyle events, from vineyards to fiber for sensitive stomachs, and even tried out some invigorating workouts. 1. Vineyard Revelations: Our adventure began with an amazing lunch at Union Square Cafe in New York City, where we learned about the vineyards and wines from Loudon County, Virginia. Did you know that there are nearly 50 wineries located just a short distance from Washington, D.C.? The region is a growing hotspot for wine enthusiasts, and we savored every sip. 2. Gut Health and Fiber Boost: Next, we headed to Clean Market for an afternoon of wellness. There, I experienced a gut health IV trip and discovered Hilma's new product: “Daily Fiber and Digestive Enzymes.” Shockingly, nearly 95% of Americans don't get enough fiber daily! Hilma's plant-based prebiotic fiber powder aims to change that, providing six grams of gentle fiber to support digestion without the discomfort. Plus, it's sugar-free and tastes great in smoothies. 3. Skincare Serenity: No week is complete without skincare updates! MZ Skin's “Skin Calming Range” caught my attention. Designed for sensitive and redness-prone skin, this collection includes the soothing “Calming Rescue Serum.” With ingredients like pro-vitamin D3, red sage root, and hydrating prebiotic extract, it's a must-try for maintaining radiant skin. 4. Workouts Galore: Let's get physical! I dived into three diverse workouts: Level Up with Layla: Circuit training with TRX, battle ropes, resistance bands, and weights. Layla emphasizes agility and mobility alongside muscle building. Jazzercise: A dance-infused workout that feels like a party! It's a global sensation, and I had a blast trying out the cardio sculpt class. P Volve: Low-impact exercises to sculpt and tone. Jennifer Aniston approves, and the ever-changing routines keep me on my toes. 5. Pre-Trip Beauty Essentials: As I prepare for my Mediterranean adventure, I've got beauty appointments lined up: Nails: A pedicure for pampered feet and press-on manicures for chic hands. Hair Care: Freshly touched-up color and roots ensure confidence throughout the trip. Facial Hydration: A pre-trip facial keeps my skin glowing and ready for any climate. Remember, sun protection matters! Wallaroo's wide-brim hats, celebrating 25 years of sun safety, shield our skin from harmful UV rays. Incorporate sun protection into your daily routine—grab that hat by the door! Stay tuned for insightful conversations and expert advice to elevate your skincare routine, fashion game, and travel experiences! MLOps Coffee Sessions #149 with Jason McCampbell, The Challenges of Deploying (many!) ML Models, co-hosted by Abi Aryan and sponsored by Wallaroo. // Abstract In order to scale the number of models a team can manage, we need to automate the most common 90% of deployments to allow ops folks to focus on the challenging 10% and automate the monitoring of running models to reduce the per-model effort for data scientists. At just 27 years old, representative Australian rugby union player Sera Naiqama's star is well and truly on the rise. But don't let her age fool you. We can learn so much from Sera's effervescent outlook on life, her incredible work ethic, and her insatiable thirst for self-improvement Like most success stories, it hasn't all been plain sailing. Growing up in comparative hardship in Sydney's southern suburbs, and with parents whose marriage ended when she was very young, Sera is the first to admit that “society would say my life was meant to look a certain way.” Likewise her winding path to international rugby stardom, and more recently as a Stan Sport commentator and sought-after MC, has not been without its hurdles and, inevitably, huge emotional setbacks. But at every turn, and with the support of a close network of friends and mentors, Sera has chosen bravery. “You never know what's siting on the other side of your fear,” she says, adding that “with a bit of faith, hope, and hard work, or whatever word works for you, nothing is ever wasted.” As promised during our interview with Sera: The 7 P's: Proper Preparation and Practice Prevents Piss Poor Performance!Link to Season 4, Episode 4: Jimmy Galvin interview.
