S5: Ep 12 - Tapping into the Moon with Kirsty Gallagher

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 28, 2023 76:54

In this special episode of Season 5 of the Tapping into Podcast, I chat with Kirsty Gallagher, moon mentor, soul alignment and spiritual coach, yoga teacher, meditation teacher and Sunday Times bestselling author. Kirsty shares with us her path to becoming a moon mentor and sharing astrology with a huge audience. We discuss how integral we are in the cycles of the world and universe and that we also have a responsibility within ourselves to ourselves. Hear how our souls are meant to be here at this time and how you can decide what difference we want to make. Kirsty shares with us why we can use the moon to aid our manifestations and growth. We learn how to get started and what to do during different phases of the moon. Key takeaways: Death can be a catalyst for really living life We can feel that we don't have the ability to make different choices but we do power of choice even in small ways We often look outwards to the universe to trust in but we can also have trust inwards in ourselves Most of us are aware of our sun sign which represents how we show up and shine, but we also have a moon sign which encompasses who you are on the inside New year resolutions can be setting yourself up for failure so it is better to wait for the Spring Equinox. At the end, we chat about Kirsty's new book ‘The Goddess Path' which is out in March next year but on pre-order already from all good bookstores. I'm so excited to go deeper with this new book. I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. About Kirsty: Kirsty Gallagher is Sunday Times bestselling author and leading voice in modern-day spirituality and soul-led personal development. She is renowned for making ancient mystical practices accessible and easily woven into everyday life. Kirsty has created a worldwide community through her lunar living and sacred season teachings, which helps people live back in alignment with natural cycles and connect to their inner wisdom, power, authenticity and purpose. Kate is also a fellow EFT practitioner, and we have such a great chat about EFT and how impactful it is for ADHD. Kate shares with us that prior to her ADHD diagnosis she always felt disregulated and struggled with worry, overwhelm and catastrophising. Her diagnosis put all of this into a new frame. Both Kate and her children are neurodivergent which give her a unique view on how she can support women to create more balance for themselves and overcome their dysregulation. Key takeaways: ADHD is not really a deficit or a disorder, this label is incredibly misleading A diagnosis is like a compass for someone to come to what works for them and what doesn't Understanding that your brain works differently can be incredibly helpful in increasing self-esteem and self-understanding It is normal to look back and grieve your lost life when you receive a diagnosis I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. I know you will find this conversation with Kim so impactful as she weaves her knowledge of being a modern doctor with Mindbody medicine. Dr Kim draws the distinction between the work a physician working in the ER is able to do supporting the physical symptoms of disease and trauma and compares it to work that can be undertaken on more long term illnesses. We discuss neuroscience and how our beliefs hold power over our mind and body and how holistic methods can support us in our mission to heal. We look at why we are getting sicker and sicker and some of the ways we can start to reverse this. Key takeaways: Just because there is a physical illness does not mean that you need something physical to resolve it The beliefs we hold in our subconscious can often be the source of our long term conditions Everything has energy and everything has consciousness Every time you have a thought there is a transmission that is felt throughout your whole body I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. We discuss family constellations and Julie makes this entirely accessible and understandable for us all. Julie looks at family energies and how the family soul is impacted through ancestral suffering. We consider how we take on the suffering of our ancestors, why this happens and how it impacts upon us. We discuss how we can heal ancestral suffering and also the shadow elements. Julie's approach to this shows us how we can take our true place in our family container and live our true purpose. Key takeaways: Constellation work untangles us and brings forward ancestral strengths Our ancestors don't want us to live with their suffering We can repattern our subconscious loyalties When issues are out and talked about ancestral suffering can heal I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. About Julie: Julie Williams, Healer and Scientist, combines her love for science together with extensive training in holistic and sacred healing arts for a powerful combination with a heart-based approach. She holds a degree in Biology with practitioner certifications in Family Constellations, Naturopathy, Energy Medicine, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Neuro-Muscular Massage, Ayurvedic Yoga, Shamanism, and Intuitive Arts. Inspired to create a natural healing method that could promote deep and lasting change, she weaves together her diverse background into a practice called Consciousness Medicine. This work leverages the mind-body connection at a deep and multi-dimensional level to identify the source of an issue and promote transformation on all levels of being: physical, emotional, energetic, ancestral and spiritual. Family Constellation Work is a foundational component of her work and in her clinical practice has seen it change so many lives for the better. After experiencing profound changes in her own life with Family Constellations, she went on to study with the leaders in the field including Bert Hellinger becoming a facilitator in 2005. Since then, she has created her own style of working with the Movements of the Family Soul. These are the five main elements that bring forward a soul transformation to release the burden of suffering and embrace the empowering forces of life. Following a positive experience with homoeopathy and gaining an understanding of how homoeopathy works on a deep level within the body working on the root of the issue rather than just the symptoms. Key takeaways: Symptoms come from the disturbance within, they give us information but we are not treating the symptoms The body has an incredible power to heal itself with the right support Homoeopathy can release past life trauma Often what the child needs to heal so does the parent Both being in utero and birth can have an impact on children No two homoeopathic prescriptions are the same Resources: https://www.helios.co.uk/ https://www.helios.co.uk/en/shop/basic-18-kit https://ish.ie/ - Irish School of Homoeopathy https://www.solashomeopathy.com/store/p19/TravelRemedyKIt.html About Krista: After becoming frustrated with chasing symptoms and never getting answers for her son's chronic health issues, she discovered homoeopathy and found a homoeopath. When she witnessed healing like never before she had to know more so she went on to study homeopathy and became a homeopath. She studied and graduated from the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine (DCHM) and is a certified classical Homeopath (CCH) with the Council of Homeopathic Certification and a member of the North American Society of Homeopaths (RSHom(NA)). Priscilla, in this episode, generously teaches us about Atlantis. So whether you have awareness and understanding or not about Atlantis you will be taken on a journey. We hear about Priscilla's awakening and call to investigate Atlantis and how this led her to her current calling of Priestess of Atlantis. We go on a magical journey talking about crystals, how the people of Atlantis lived and even touch on unicorns. This is a powerful episode where we start to unravel the impact that the destruction of Atlantis has had on our current lives and how we can begin to heal. Key takeaways: The destruction of Atlantis has played a bigger part in the trauma we feel than we know Women are creating the container for safety We have a lot of unravelling to do around the ‘good girl' and ‘good boy' conditioning For those who feel lost or stuck in their healing journey you can start to recognise that you are ancient and there is so much wisdom within you I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. Trigger warning; we discuss sudden death, widowhood and baby loss. Kate shares with us her experience of grief following the death of her husband during lockdown. We hear the impact it had on both her and her children and how taking one day at a time was key. She describes to us the power of tapping, water, and breath and how not sitting in loneliness has been important. Her connection to the tapping community and the space they have held for her during this difficult time comes through profoundly. Key takeaways: Grief is not linear Self-regulating our nervous system is so important especially when grieving with children Surrogate tapping can be a powerful way to tap on behalf of other people Your connection point to your loved one doesn't have to be grief, it can be love Surrender is a life-long, daily lesson Tapping can really help with grief Although this might be a difficult conversation for you at certain points, our intention is that you take some level of hope away; hope that life with grief gets easier. Katie-Jane shares with us her lifelong spiritual awakening from being friends with the spirits as a small child to, as an adult, channelling through her writing and developing a relationship with crystals. Katie-Jane has a profound connection with crystals and encourages us to find our own connection with crystals using our own deep sense of knowing. We think about the energy of different crystals, how to choose a crystal or even how it chooses you. We even hear a sample of Katie-Jane's light language which quite frankly produces goosebumps. Make sure to have a crystal handy that you can grab when she shows us how to connect with our crystals. Key takeaways: Although you can research the properties of a crystal it is important to find how the individual crystal works for you. You can attune to the vibration of your crystal and its energy field. When you feel drawn to a crystal it has already chosen you. We often hear of people charging their crystals by moonlight but sunlight can charge them powerfully too. About Katie-Jane: Katie Jane is a ceremonialist and healer, connected deeply to the crystalline and plant kingdoms, a crystal guardian and awakener of ancient wisdom. She is a published author, and creator of a Conscious crystal book, and 2 oracle decks, ‘Spirit and Animal Wisdom' and ‘Earth Alchemy' decks. She offers Closing of the bones ceremonies and holding circles to honor and mark rites of passage, and transitions. Katie-Jane helps bring safe ethically sourced crystals and minerals to their new homes, provides courses on awakening to crystalline energy, workshops, events and retreats. In this week's episode, I chat with Niall Ó Murchú, a breathwork teacher, author and a certified level 3 Wim Hoff instructor. Niall is well known for breathwork and ice baths and is here to share with us today all elements of his work. Niall shares with us his own difficult relationship with the breath both at birth and with a personal history of asthma. He opens up our understanding of why it is important to have awareness of our breathing and the improvements we can experience by taking the time out to slow down. We also explore ways that resistance to breathing can signify a subconscious resistance to change. Key takeaways: Our breath reflects our emotions at any moment Breathing practices help us to slow down and do nothing other than enjoy the sacred Breathwork can easily be done by children and teenagers and can have a powerful impact The cold water experience is all about practising the breath. Emotional health is often overlooked and we need to start to raise our awareness of it Awareness of our breath gives us space to see our reaction before we react Niall's passion to bring awareness of breathwork to all ages is inspiring. His practices for children and teenagers and adults ensure that the breath is put at the forefront of our thinking at all stages of our life and his approach surely will make a profound difference. S4: E8 - Tapping into Ritual with Emily Quinton

In this week's episode, I chat with Emily Quinton who is a dear friend of mine and I am so honoured to talk with her and share her wisdom with you all. As a Mum to four neurodivergent children Emily has created herself a powerful set of daily rituals that ensure she has the energy and grounding to cope with both the knowns and unknowns of her life. Emily shares with us her daily rituals where she creates space for herself in the simplest of ways making it achievable, whilst also weaving the sacred into the everyday. This conversation follows on so beautifully from last week's chat with Rebecca Campbell (episode 7). We discuss the difference intention setting can make each day, the impact of self-awareness and responding to that awareness with kindness. Let us take you on a journey to consider how some of these rituals could influence your life positively. Key takeaways: Your daily rituals can be as simple and manageable as you need them to be. Intention setting daily is powerful, especially in those moments where you are feeling negative emotions as you can come back to your intention to support you in that moment. By just adding the self-affirmations ‘I love you, I am worthy' to your day you are starting to create your own ritual. Sometimes within a neurodivergent family you need to accept that some things might not change and figure out how you can live with it or if there are situations that you can impact to find the system required and develop it. By nourishing your own foundations you can be grounded to be what you want and need to be for yourself and your family. I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. About Emily: Emily Quinton is an author, speaker and creative who is happiest when surrounded by nature, especially flowers. She lives in Somerset with her husband Stef, their four highly sensitive/neurodivergent children and their dog Yuki. Emily is currently writing her second book, preparing her new series of workshops, developing a membership community of parents of highly sensitive children, studying psychology and listening to the flowers in her garden and on her daily walks. She is passionate about using rituals, meditation and creativity to ground herself, enable her to be the mother her children need and to live her best life. In this week's episode, I chat with Rebecca Campbell, a bestselling author, mystic and creative. I came across Rebecca's work a number of years ago and have been fortunate enough to attend her live events and be part of her membership. She is a true spiritual teacher for modern times. Rebecca introduces us to the concept of embodiment and what this truly means. We hear her journey through her life with embodiment, with her feeling more embodied in her younger years through sports and moving away from it as she came into early adulthood and her awakening that brought her to this work. We discuss how living in this modern world can see a disconnect from spirituality and how living at a speed faster than nature leaves us feeling stress and pressure. Rebecca weaves ways that we can access the sacred in everyday life into our conversation so that we can all begin to slow down and experience less pressure. Key takeaways: Lived experience at a cellular level is how we embody divine / saved energy. Change is a certainty in life so anything that can help us recognise constant change is helpful. In the West spirituality is seen as other worldly rather than part of us. Intuition is pointless unless you act on it. Extending the sacred into everyday life will help us to make a shift away from stress. Rebecca introduces us to a beautiful way to access the sacred every day and I would love to hear from you to find out how you access the sacred daily. About Rebecca: Rebecca Campbell is an international bestselling writer, poet, healer, ritualist, spiritual teacher, visionary and mystic who has been featured in Vogue, The Sunday Times, Oprah.com, Psychologies Magazine. In this week's episode, I chat with Cat Sims who blogs under Not So Smug Now. This episode is incredibly honest and raw about a number of issues that I believe many of us will relate to. Our focus in this episode is on marriage and how relationships can change especially when children are born. How often are people really honest about the reality of having children and the impact it can have on your mental health? Cat talks to us about her and her husband's experience of becoming parents and the impact it had on both of them and their marriage. She talks to us about their journey to therapy and how it taught them about the importance of communicating what they actually wanted. W e discuss how we blame TV shows like Love Island for toxic behaviours and forget that it is merely spotlighting behaviours that are present in relationships in the real world and yet we don't take the opportunity to learn from what we see on these shows. In a moment of true vulnerability, Cat shares with us her journey to sobriety and how alcohol had been affecting her own life and her relationships. Key takeaways: We have been sold a myth about relationships There is a lack of honesty about the reality of having children Being vulnerable with each other in therapy (and outside) can be really difficult but so worth it The reality of becoming sober (if appropriate for you) can be life-changing and open up your relationships and opportunities There is a culture of Mum guilt that needs to be addressed so that guilt can be put to one side I know that many of you will resonate with different parts of Cat's experiences and hope that this will support you with your own journey. About Cat: Cat Sims is a content creator, podcaster and author who is still trying to figure the whole ‘adulting' thing out. With 195k followers on Instagram, Cat has made a living out of documenting her failures and successes as a 40-year-old woman, a mother and a wife across various social media platforms. Cat is willing to talk openly about anything - her addiction and subsequent sobriety journey, her mental health, her fears and failures - and she makes us all laugh as she does it. Her mission in life is to make as many women as possible feel ‘seen' and to make them realise that they are never, ever, ‘the only one.' She's honest AF, wonderfully self-deprecating and willing to say all the things the rest of us hide away and, in doing so, managed to make us all feel a little bit better about our perfectly messy lives. In this week's episode, I chat with Saskia Marjoram who is the creator of Saskia's Flower Essences. Through her flower essences, Saskia helps people to shift a range of emotional states and behaviours. I am so excited to share the conversation with you as I have been using Saskia's flower essences both myself and with my boys for a while now. Saskia has been working with flower essences for over 15 years after her and friend decided to develop their own flower essence range. They had been using flower essences from an Australian brand but with Saskia's history with flowers she realised that she wanted to know exactly what the flowers were rather than an ingredient that wasn't common in the UK. This was how her new product was born. You can hear us talk about the history of flower essences starting with indigenous uses through to Dr Bach packaging flower essences in the 1930's. We discuss the energetic frequencies of flowers and their properties and how you can know if they are working for you. We also talk about the benefits for both children and adults. Saskia also shares with us how to dowse which can be so helpful in choosing which combination of essences you want to use. Key takeaways: The essence is the vibration of the plant held in liquid. It can change your internal frequency With the right flower essence, change can happen really quickly, especially with children Flower essences do not need to be used on their own, they work really well alongside other modalities If you are looking to start using flower essences the combination essences are a really good place to begin Taking flower essences is different to taking medicine, it's much more like having a relationship with that plant. Saskia has kindly given listeners of the podcast a 10% discount code so if you type TAPPING at checkout you can benefit from this. I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. About Saskia: Saskia has been working with flowers at different levels for her whole life. As a professional gardener for more than 30 years, and florist to HRH Prince of Wales for many years she started making flower essences in 2003 with her friend and business partner for a long time after they discovered how incredibly effective and simple they are to make and desperately needed them for themselves and their families. She is continually fascinated by how plants and humans interact and the wisdom they have to share with us. Her deep love, friendship and knowledge of the flowers have continued to grow as she discovers just how powerfully their energy affects and interacts with us.Want to discover more about Saskia?Follow Saskia here www.instagram.com/saskiasessences/ Buy her essences here https://www.saskiasfloweressences.com/ Find her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057582012745 About Sarah: Sarah is an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping Practitioner and Trainer based in the UK but originally from Dublin, Ireland. Flic's experience is so powerful as she shares with us how as a mental health writer she completely missed the signs of her own burnout until being shocked into realising the depth of her burnout by a health practitioner. We discuss how burnout has become common in key worker roles over the past two roles and the concept of burnout becoming more understood due to its prevalence. We also consider how the pervasive nature of burnout can creep up on us when we do not expect it. We cover issues such as the impact of the lack of sleep, poor boundaries and numbing ourselves rather than nourishing ourselves. Flic shares with us the key signs of burnout so be sure to listen to the whole episode to see if you are also experiencing burnout. Key takeaways: It is possible to burn out doing something that you love and adore Burnout can creep up on you and you miss the signs There is a difference between stress and burnout Being in service does not need to equal sacrifice It is necessary to nourish yourself instead of numbing yourself I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. In this week's episode, I chat with Emma Cannon, a fertility and women's health expert. Emma supports couples on their path to parenthood and bridges the gap between western medicine and complementary therapies. In this conversation with Emma, we weave many themes that I know will be so powerful for you to hear. She takes us on her own journey of sitting with Ram Dass in the 90's and how this opened up the path that she is still on today. We discuss the impact of childhood sexual trauma and how this was not fully healed until many years later during a powerful experience that I can't wait for you to hear about. Emma is so generous with her knowledge about not only fertility and the cycle of life but also in giving us hope around the shadow and light in life and how working with both can lead to deep healing. Welcome to Season 4 Episode 1! In this week's episode, I chat with Natalie Lee, a content creator, author, podcast host and public speaker on a liberating road of disruption to challenge and help you shed your shame. Following childhood trauma, Natalie was conditioned to view her body, sex and herself in a certain way which led to her not feeling complete and shameful. Natalie talks to us today about her powerful journey to pleasure and self-acceptance as we discuss the book she has written, Feeling Myself. I make no secret about how much I love this book and how I think it's a must-read for all women. Natalie shares with us about subjects that we possibly do not normally talk about with our friends and loved ones. We talk about the importance of questioning our own views around sex and how we can break any negative cycles we hold as well as how we can have important conversations about sexuality and sex within our households. This is a conversation that I know is going to have an impact. Key takeaways: Therapy can be hugely powerful in your healing journey It was important to consider how her experience had conditioned her and how she could start to make better choices Sex can be pleasurable She introduces us to ethical porn from a female gaze by creator Erika Lust Women don't connect with masturbation because they are told it's shameful and dirty How masturbation can be free and pleasurable and teach us so much about our own bodies Women have been conditioned to act as foot soldiers of misogynists and we need to be aware and break free from this People often assume that the default sexuality is heterosexuality How can we have conversations about sex and sexuality in our household to raise awareness within our family About Natalie: Natalie Lee began started her blog, Style Me Sunday, in July 2012. Constant Fight, Flight, Freeze caused Kelley to not have a period for three years A single traumatic event threw Kelley into a major emotional burnout where she couldn't do anything, which led her to start therapy Lockdown forced Kelley to reinvent herself and allowed her to break out of the big gym she ran leading to The Wellness Hub in her back garden Kelley shares the spiritual side of herself and has leant on that in the last year with the unfortunate loss of her Mam We discuss the loneliness of grief and how she is managing to move through it She shares her tips for success with intentions, meditation, breathwork, nature walks, eating right, exercising well, mindfulness practises The lesson her Mam taught her and how Kelley is now able to teach that to other women Go back to basics and make small changes to make them habit - protein at every meal, lots of fibre, hydrate starting at the beginning of the day, figure out ways to reduce stress (tapping, breathing, journaling, gratitude etc), and as much sleep as you can! S3: E7 - Tapping into Tapping with Dr Peta Stapleton

If you are new to tapping or are curious about the proof of its efficacy then this is the episode for you! In today's episode, I am honoured to talk to Dr Peta Stapleton. Based in Australia, Dr Peta has become the world's leading expert in the science behind tapping and proving its efficacy for supporting and resolving key issues that impact our general health. She has compared EFT against Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for food cravings; EFT versus CBT for Depression in Adults; EFT for academic fear and resilience in 15-year-old students; and EFT for sufferers of chronic pain. She has also led the world's first trial examining neural changes after EFT for food issues (fMRI study). It was such a brilliant conversation and really interesting to hear where she thinks EFT/Tapping is going in the coming years from a standard and recommended perspective. Key takeaways: How EFT/Tapping made its way to Dr Peta in Australia EFT was first researched in a large food cravings trial against gold standard CBT the two papers are here and here and the first fMRI research is here Dr Peta's approach to managing potential negative outcomes of her research, or anyone's opinion or judgement of Tapping. Something that can be used for any future outcome - tap on your worry and you stop attracting it Big News: Dr Peta + her team are working on a paper for the American Psychological Association to get EFT listed as evidence-based on their website - with a huge impact for EFT as a result Great advice to keep a tapping journal to reflect back on your tapping journey Definition of Tapping - it's a stress-reduction technique by stimulating acupuncture points on the face on the top half of the body while thinking about the stressful situation you are experiencing EFT is a Somatic Therapy - it's a physical therapy with a cognitive element to it, its the 4th wave of psychology - watch her Ted Talk (link below) Philosophy separated the mind and body - Doctors should treat the body and Priests/Philosophers should treat the mind - we are trying to move the field to a more integrated approach Tapping is used in hospitals, GP surgeries, national disability scheme (Government funded), midwives in Australia - it is very accepted and normalised in culture More research coming out of USA, Australia, UK and more recently Iraq, Iran, Korea, Indonesia are pumping out EFT trials, as the more, it is researched or published the more credibility it will have, and it will then attract government funding. EFT International has recently put in a grant for NICE funding to support EFT for depression It takes a new therapy 17 years to be accepted into the mainstream, with EFT we're year 16/17! The American Psychological Association published Dr Peta's Cortisol reduction (43%) research paper (mainstream journal) giving EFT a huge acknowledgement and was a big win for the therapy - that paper is here CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) has over 800 randomised trials and allows the person to become aware of the emotion and then helps them work out the belief/thought behind them - they then rehearse that out to swap into a more functional thought process. It takes CBT groups about 6 months to show an outcome where the EFT works within 6 weeks, and CBT takes more effort and practice, and may not get to the root cause of the issue. EFT helps identify the root cause of a person's issue. Once the heat of the emotion has settled down, then the memory is able to come up to present the root problem and then different techniques can be used to release the energy from that event. Tapping gives the mind and body a sense of safety and we're changing DNA expression, cortisol reduction, EUG brain scans, heart rate variability, and blood pressure - the body's physical system is changing through tapping - paper summarises all changes here 3 studies published on EFT on gene expression - found that tapping changes gene expression (whether they are turned on and off). This links to ancestral trauma. Research is here and here Dr Peta discusses an EFT trial for patients undergoing their cancer treatment - read about that here and there is also a new book here New landmark study (Iran) for a trial for Nurses working with Covid patients and taught them EFT targeting burnout. The outcomes were statistically significant, and their burnout, anxiety, and depression were reduced - read about that here and another new nurses's study here New Australian study using EFT for Sub-Acute Pain during Covid funded by the Australian Government (to intervene before the pain becomes Chronic), the pre-released data shows a significant improvement (not published yet). Dr Peta's latest research on Chronic Pain during the pandemic will be released with significant outcomes. A recent study in Iran is about to be published where an EFT trial in a hospital setting for women who had had a spontaneous miscarriage, 12 individual sessions - full paper here UK researchers are looking to research the use of EFT for PTSD after birth trauma. US study is looking at the use of EFT in the area of autism and the mothers of autistic children to manage their anxieties etc - paper here About Dr Peta: Dr Peta Stapleton has 25 years of experience as a registered Clinical and Health Psychologist and is currently an Associate Professor in Psychology at Bond University (Australia). In 2019 she was named Psychologist of the Year by the Australian Allied Health Awards. She is a world-leading researcher in EFT and has established herself as one of Australia's leading Health Professionals. Her research focuses on the 4th wave of psychological therapies that focus on the mind and body. One of the most significant contributions in her life has been to lead world-first randomized clinical trials investigating the effectiveness of EFT. She even has her own Ted Talk which I have linked below. S3: E6 - Tapping into Sound with Emma West

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 10, 2022 48:27

In this week's episode, I chat to Dublin based Emma West about how she came to sound as both a healing modality for herself and a career. Emma is gathering groups of like-minded individuals seeking out alternative therapies to help transform their lives. She creates and holds the most beautiful healing space, both indoors and outdoors (in the woods or by the beach). She is most herself recreating the sound of the waves, or twinkling chimes through the forest. Key Takeaways: Learn about Emma's journey to sound, and how music was her escape and her refuge. She felt most at home in the music room as a child. As a young single mother, she felt she needed a 'proper job' as an accountant and in the process lost herself. The call to be creative, find herself and start to enjoy life became louder and she was drawn back to music. Emma started with practitioner bowls, chimes and a hand-held gong...and added crystal bowls and now has so many different instruments. Sound brings Emma a sense of peace and calm and brings her back to the present moment. Sound is a vibration that raises the frequency of the body helping to release emotions and stresses. It can make people cry and have big shifts in their lives. The vibrations are impacting the water in your body. It brings your body into a deep state of peace that then allows the body to heal itself. Sarah shares her own first experience of a sound bath following the loss of her daughter Alice. The beauty of sound healing is you can just lie there, allow yourself to receive, you don't need to do anything - "give yourself permission to relax". Bowls can be placed on the body in a 1-2-1 session to shift particular blocks in the body. Emma can work through the chakras, do some breathing, and use the gong, but work on the front and back of the body. The body's frequency deep in each cell is raised to the vibration of the bowls. Emma brings in her voice to treatments, healings and sound baths - it's one of the most powerful healing tools we have, that we carry around with us. Sound is the first sense we experience connecting to the heartbeat of our mother, it is the oldest form of healing. Emma shares how she became a practitioner via a diploma. We discuss the difference between Tibetan and Crystal Bowls. Emma shares how her children love playing with the instruments and sounds. You don't need instruments, tune into the sounds around you. About Emma: Emma West is a sound healing practitioner and reiki master from Dublin who is passionate about using sound to help you relax your mind and body. Emma has always been drawn to music and sound from a young age, as a former DJ who had also worked in radio in her 20's, she has always surrounded herself in this space but it was only through her own personal healing journey she realised the true power that sound along with our intention can have. Sound Healing can bring about profound shifts in our lives, helping to guide you into that space where you can let go of negative thought patterns that you may have been holding onto, slowing down your brain wave state, promoting deep restorative healing on a cellular and emotional level. By using the sacred sound vibrations of Tibetan and crystal bowls, the gong, drum, voice and more Emma will gently guide you into a peaceful state, holding a safe space for you to release and help bring your body, mind and soul back into its natural state of harmony. In this week's episode I chat with Thalia Pellegrini, a registered nutritional therapist who has transformed her own health with good nutrition after having glandular fever in her teens, through to chronic fatigue syndrome, supported her own IVF and fertility journey through to having two healthy boys. It was her postpartum depletion and how she supported herself during that time, that has now made her the knackered mum's nutritionist. In this episode, we chat about that journey, about how she was ‘dismantled' by motherhood, and how she is on a mission to give mums permission to nurture and mother themselves. We discuss the importance of sleep and how it can be transformed with nutrition. I ask her, where do we start right now – and she gives us some great tips. We also chat about the fertility journey and how nutrition can support conception, pregnancy and then most importantly beyond into the postpartum months and years. Key takeaways: You are the centre of your family's universe. It is critical that mothers take care of their well-being. "Nutrition is not an alternative therapy" – I love that line Food is information for our cells, it's how we heal, how we grow, how we thrive. She defines healthy: "Health is energy and energy is everything. It's vibrancy, happiness, feeling amazing, so start with how do you want to feel" A treat for the body s nourishment, self-love and feeling amazing - not necessarily the bar of chocolate every night. Sleep is paramount to health. It is foundational to feeling well and sleep can actually be transformed with nutrition. Good nutrition can improve hormone balance, reduce stress and help lay the foundation to thrive as we get older especially as we face per-menopause and menopause. Top tip - start changing breakfast. Add in protein. Resources: Tapping for sleep video> Fantastic in Five - Breakfasts for mums in a hurry - sign up for free download now> About Thalia: Thalia Pellegrini is a registered nutritional therapist (DipION mBANT CNHC). Having transformed her own health by working with a nutritionist in her 20s, she wanted to do the same for other women, and following a decade as a broadcast journalist for the BBC, Thalia retrained. She qualified in 2009 following a three-year course at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London. Pregnant when she graduated, and with her second baby two years later, she learnt that knowing how to nourish yourself and being able to do so when you're an overwhelmed mum are two very different things! And so, the Knackered Mums Nutritionist was born. She works 1:1 with women to address health issues ranging from PMS, perimenopause, weight loss and low energy and runs her signature 6-month online group program Knackered to Nourished for 40-something mums ready to feel revitalized. This week I chat with Irish Patricia Lohan. She's lived in New York, Bali, Greece and is back in Ireland at the moment but with plans for a return trip to Greece for the summer. Patricia seems to have cracked the code of manifesting with the art of Feng Shui. She's created everything she wants in life, down to the man she married, her little dog, and a very successful career. It wasn't always like that, and she shares with me her personal story of how she used the ancient and spiritual practice of Feng Shui to understand the world, where she lived and then how to change it to bring in what she wanted. She's now helping thousands all over the world do the same! I actually share with Patricia about the artwork on my bedroom walls...hmm well let's just say 'we' need to rethink what's on our walls, and I still haven't fixed them. We did try to create a new office for me by moving the boys into the same bedroom but that didn't work out so, I need to rethink things again! I have however implemented some of the other tips Patricia shares with us. Key takeaways: Your house has its own energetic imprint that's impacting your bank account, relationships, health and more. Feng Shui is acupuncture for your home. It is alchemy and magic for your life. It's about balance and flow and when you balance the house, in comes the flow. We call in a house that matches your vibration at the time, so naturally over time as we change, we must also bring our home on that journey too. Look at your house with Fresh Eyes starting as you stand outside and take in the house from the road, how does it makes you feel? Does it align with where you are going and what you want to call in? Different parts of your home represent different parts of your body and are influencing different parts of your life. Remove friction points in your house to improve the flow - cleaning out cupboards, declutter especially things not moved for a long time. Make the art on your walls a vision board for your future. Dumping grounds can be a place of low energy and low vibration. Don't get overwhelmed with the specific areas of the house e.g. relationship, wealth etc, tackle particular rooms e.g. bedroom, living room, attic, fresh eyes A couple of other tips; minimise red, put knives in the drawer, throw out old/out of date food, don't use broken crockery. This is not about having a perfect house, and it's about striving for perfection, it's about having a home that supports you energetically so it gets people focused on what they want to bring in their lives. S3: E3 - Tapping into Human Design with Kay Ash-Lee

This is a fascinating exploration of Human Design with my friend Kay. I met her through a randomised tapping circle that was created in January 2019 and we met monthly to Tap. She introduced me to Human Design, with an impressive 18 years of Human Design knowledge under her belt, I knew she would be the perfect person to explore this topic on the podcast. Human Design is the personalised manual/guidebook to how you best operate. Find out your "type" here on Kay's website: www.kayashlee.com/beinghuman (you might even like to do this before you start listening!!). Relisten with a pen and take notes too!! Key takeaways: Kay talks about the 5 different types in Human Design - Generators, Manifesting Generators, Manifestors, Reflectors and Projectors. She also explains inner authority, life-force motors, defined and undefined centres, consistent and inconsistent We discuss highly sensitive people and how most likely they have undefined centres There is no good or bad in HD, no better type to be, we are all just a cog in a wheel We are here to inspire each other, to help each other, we're all connected. We are here to initiate things, to generate things, we just have to learn to be ourselves. The Inner Authority of Emotional = the Emotional Wave - this is really interesting and can explain so much to how people feel consistently up and down Kay has spent 18 years perfecting 'living by design' and is one of the tools amongst many that she uses to support herself. She's been honouring her life process now becoming the Role Model in the last third of her life "As we live by our design we heal, as we realise what we're not, and who we are, we are then equipped to raise our kids as per their design, not expecting them to be manifesters" Kay explains what a Human Design reading is and how to get one with her. About Kay:Kay is an advanced EFT practitioner from the south coast of England. After a lifetime of chronic anxiety and self-judgement, she now helps others tread the path she has created to inner freedom and self-acceptance. Her passion is to help people understand how they tick. To know they already are the person they are meant to be, one who is on an interesting inner journey of discovery. Human Design came into Kay's life 18 years ago and she says it has been an incredible, intriguing, and awe-inspiring journey. To have our very own manual of how we personally operate, how others affect us and what are the exact strategies that work for us in the world is so powerful. It allows us an insight into ourselves and our children that we could not have any other way. Welcome to Episode 2 of Season 3. Today I'm talking to Lizzy Delaney. Lizzy is health coach who specialises in intuitive and emotional eating. And what is intuitive eating I hear you ask? We'll get to that bit!! First Lizzy takes us on a journey to talk about her relationship with food, her need for control and how she suppressed her emotions by restricting or binging on food. She compassionately and sensitively talks about this experience so I don't think this should be too triggering for those who also have these patterns of behaviour. And if you can relate to Lizzy's journey, I really do recommend listening to how she's turned her life around completely and is now dedicated to helping women do the same. I honestly could have chatted to Lizzy for hours - she has such amazing and infectious energy, I know you're going to love her. Key takeaways: The cycle of up levelling, being tested and growth The importance of integration Looking at negative situations as a gift Acts of surrender can help us move forward, letting go of control and move into flow Mindset is key to intuitive eating - or just eating (if dieting didn't exist!) Lack of self-worth, self-love and self-belief can be the route of our self-soothing and controlling measures Intuitive eating happens naturally when you are loving yourself, prioritising self-care and doing what you know is right for you Move from self-punishment and self-loathing to self-love Shift from 'should' and 'need', to 'want', 'will' and 'can' Benefits of intuitive eating - 'this has changed my entire life', seeing their health in a different way About Lizzy: She is passionate about helping women who have been yo-yo dieting for years and who struggle with emotional eating heal their relationship with food and understand themselves so that they can stop dieting and feeling out of control around food. Lizzy helps them to create their own version of healthy so that they can truly start living their lives to the full. She became involved in this incredible work after suffering from an eating disorder for 10 years followed by a further 5 years of yo-yo dieting, restrictive eating, emotional eating, poor body image and a low sense of self-worth. She has spent years doing the deeper healing work, shifting mindset blocks and fully understanding her own relationship with food which has led her to finally feel completely free around food and fully accepting of her body, something she never thought possible. She is now incredibly passionate and devoted to this work and her ambition is to help as many people as possible to overcome their negative relationship with food and support them in having a positive and sustainable approach to their own health and happiness. Lizzy's work is life-changing. She has a signature process called the Happy, Healthy, Healed method that incorporates mindset work, behaviour change coaching and intuitive eating. Lizzy works 1:1 with clients and has a group program both of which are 4-month programs that work on you changing your life in a sustainable way - for good. If you would like to chat with Lizzy or request further information you can find her on Instagram at @luv.health or you can email her at luvhealthcoaching@gmail.com About Sarah:Sarah is an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping Practitioner and Trainer based in the UK but originally from Dublin, Ireland. Welcome to Season 3 of the Tapping into Podcast. As always with this podcast, we will be exploring a variety of different modalities and topics within the spiritual, alternative and natural world in order to help us grow, heal, and ultimately live happy lives. Often when we feel something's not right, or we feel uncomfortable in our day to day, we start 'fixing' things on the outside. We look outside of ourselves for validation, for joy, for peace, for comfort, for love. Sometimes we battle on the outside, leading to an internal battle in the mind - the never-ending negative nancy that attacks us at every turn. What I've learnt is in order for things to change, we do actually need to go inwards to our internal world instead of just focusing on our external world. How when we do the inner development, it actually does reflect on the outside naturally and effortlessly. This also ties in with manifestation - how we can work with the laws of energy and frequency to attract into our lives what we want. We explore many modalities that help us navigate the internal world, like Therapy with Anna Mathur, Intuitive Eating with Lizzy Delaney, Human Design with Kay Ash Lee, Feng Shui with Patricia Lohan, Nutrition with Thalia Pellegrini, Sound healing with Emma West and I'm so excited because this season I actually get to explore Tapping / EFT with the TOP global researcher into the field, Dr Peta Stapleton. When we go internally, let go and do some healing inside, that's when the outer world really changes. I hope you love these conversations as much as I have enjoyed having them, and if you do please follow, subscribe, share and if you can write a review!! Also, if you are new to this podcast there are lots of other episodes to check out in Season 1 + 2.

I AM Awake Tapping Meditation – to aid ascension symptoms and embody more light What does it mean to 'Awaken'? What does it mean to 'Ascend'?A lot of people are experiencing physical tension, symptoms and fear in their bodies that are actually linked to Ascension. Some people are aware of this and know exactly what it means whereas for the majority this term is quite new, and we may not consciously know what it means. Ascension means to rise up – often we can also say ‘awaken'. I do my best to explain ‘ascension' in simple terms for those who are very new to this. I take you through common ascension symptoms and then lead a guided tapping meditation to help us release the fear and anxiety that rises when we experience these symptoms, to encourage our subconscious or ego to let go and to allow the energy deep into every cell in our body, to aid our transition and make it as gentle as possible. For more Tapping Meditations subscribe on my You Tube channel - www.youtube.com/tappingformumsFor more information about how to work with me to release anything that you feel is holding you back from moving forward with your life and living a life of more love and joy check out how to work with me on www.tappingformums.com/work-with-sarah or www.tappingformums.com/shop
