Heavy metals could be wreaking havoc on your immune system without you even knowing it. In this episode, Wendy Myers dives into the world of heavy metals and their impact on your immune system. Wendy Myers, a renowned expert in detoxification, shares her wealth of knowledge on how heavy metals like mercury, arsenic, and lead can stealthily wreak havoc on your immune function and overall well-being. Listen now to start protecting your immune system today! Show Notes From the fish you eat to the air you breathe, toxic metals like mercury, arsenic, lead, and cadmium are lurking all around us, silently sabotaging our health. But here's the kicker – they're not just causing fatigue and allergies; they're directly attacking your immune system's first responders, hindering your ability to fight off infections. And that's not all. These heavy metals could be triggering autoimmune diseases, leading to a cascade of health issues. Heavy metals and your immune system Heavy metals like mercury, arsenic, and cadmium can compromise your immune system function. These metals hinder crucial immune cells from fighting off infections and diseases, and can even be the cause of chronic autoimmune diseases. The impact of arsenic Arsenic exposure can lead to fatigue, compromised enzyme function, and decreased energy production. It can even lead to allergies, an overreactive immune system, and potential autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto's. Sources of heavy metal exposure Everyday items such as fish, shellfish, medications, chicken meat, and conventional chicken eggs can be sources of mercury exposure. Lead is also present in older homes and developing countries due to its presence in gasoline and paints. “It's amazing when we get back to the basics, how well our body takes over and knows what to do to heal.” - Heather GrayWhen it comes to Lyme disease, many people are laser-focused on treatment instead of optimizing the whole person. But if you don't address the foundations, heal the gut, reduce your toxic load, do things to manage stress, and improve your adrenal health, these therapies aren't going to be nearly as effective as they could be.Today's guest, Heather Gray, has lived with Lyme for 20+ years. After taking care of the basics, cleaning up her lifestyle and environment, and detoxing, she found she didn't have to work so hard to treat it anymore. Heather is a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist and Bioenergetic Practitioner who specializes in supporting clients with chronic and complex illnesses such as Lyme disease, mold toxicity, and autoimmune diseases. In this conversation, Heather and I discuss the need for a holistic approach to health, how gut health and emotional trauma influence Lyme disease, the challenges of getting a proper diagnosis, the significance of foundational health practices, the potential benefits of bioenergetics and frequency therapy, and more. It is always the body's check engine light coming on, and sadly too often we take something over the counter, which is like putting a piece of tape over that check engine light, and things just keep getting worse and worse…So pay attention to those symptoms.” How to Connect to Heather Gray Website: www.thelymeboss.com Spotify: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/lymebossheathergray Dana Kay Resources: Website: https://adhdthriveinstitute.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ADHDThriveInstitute/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adhdthriveinstitute/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ADHDThriveInstitute LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/adhd-thrive-institute/mycompany/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.ph/adhdthriveinstitute/ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@adhd_thriveinstitute International Best Selling Book, Thriving with ADHD – https://adhdthriveinstitute.com/book/ Free Reduce ADHD Symptoms Naturally Masterclass - https://bit.ly/3GAbFQl ADHD Parenting Course – https://info.adhdthriveinstitute.com/parentingadhd ADHD Thrive Method 4 Kids Program – https://adhdthriveinstitute.com/packages/

Have you or someone you know struggled with infertility? Chances are, most of you will say YES to this question. Dr. Natascha Hebell-Fernando and I talk about the language surrounding couples who are childless not by choice, and how those of us who do have children can adjust our language, practice empathy, and support those couples, particularly the women. We talk about how our identity as women does not need to be rooted in motherhood, how media portrays families, and how we can all benefit from learning from another's experiences. Dr. Hebell-Fernando, PhD began her education with extensive study in molecular biology before receiving an MBA from Clemson University. During her work as a DNA researcher, she observed the very real need for uncovering the root cause of illness and working with the body's wisdom to promote healing. This observation became the foundation for her love of healing modalities found in Reiki, functional nutrition, and East-Asian medicine. She is a Reiki Master and BioEnergetic Practitioner. As Highly Sensitive Person, she struggled first-hand with aggressive and one-size-fits-all approaches (even in the "alternative healing world"), and offers her clients a safe and gentle space for restoration and healing. A lifelong learner, she completed her Integrative Medicine Doctor (BOIM) and Doctor of Humanitarian Services from the World Organization of Natural Medicine. She is also a licensed acupuncturist and holistic health practitioner in the state of Arizona. She shares her insight and guidance virtually with clients worldwide.
