Recent technological advancements and strategic implementations have significantly bolstered the security of critical infrastructures. At a U.S. Army base, the trial of AI-powered facial recognition for perimeter monitoring illustrates how cutting-edge technology is being deployed to enhance threat detection and response. Concurrently, the critical role of physical defenses, such as perimeter fencing, is still emphasized, underscoring the necessity for a dual approach that incorporates both robust physical barriers and sophisticated digital surveillance to create a comprehensive security strategy. This integrated security framework is echoed in the industry recognition received by Senstar's multisensor intrusion detection systems, showcasing the effectiveness of combining various security technologies. As these technologies evolve, how can organizations optimize their use to secure their assets comprehensively?Brad Martin, the Director of Product Management at Senstar, into the transformative impact of actionable perimeter data. From his extensive experience, Martin discusses how real-time data can significantly enhance security operations by providing detailed situational awareness and enabling quicker, more effective responses to threats."With timely and accurate information about the nature and location of a potential threat, operators can mobilize their resources much more effectively, whether it's dispatching officers to the scene immediately or activating other security protocols," he explains.Article written by Sonia Gossai

Leadership is not a position of authority. This week we revist this concept and discuss how to lead up from the bottom or the middle. Thanks to Brad Martin for this question. @thetradesmanexperience @natenewton87 thetradesmanexperience.com thetradesmanexperience@gmail.com
There is no one path to a leadership position; some people are asked to lead, some are assigned. For others, leadership is a goal. At an early age, Brad Martin sought leadership roles. As a 20 year old, with no political experience, he ran for public office and became the youngest person ever elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives where he served for five terms. Later he turned to business where he became the CEO of Saks Fifth Avenue and its predecessor firm for nearly 20 years. During his tenure, the value of the company's stock increased more than 12-fold. Martin's leadership journey also took him to higher education where he served as interim president of the University of Memphis - his alma mater. He's currently chairman of RBM Ventures and CEO of the Riverview Acquisition Company. He visited the William & Mary School of Business last month as part of the 10th Annual McGlothlin Leadership Forum. He joins us to discuss leadership, his experience, and the attributes he says are critical to being a successful leader. Learn how the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William and Mary can help you and your organization develop your top talent through customized executive education and professional development programs. Daniel Bernhardt is a true renaissance man; a martial artist from Switzerland who went from being a professional model in Paris to a Hollywood action star. In the 1990s, he was a leading man in low-budget martial arts films - the star of slicker-than-your-average straight-to-video hits like the 'Bloodsport' sequels, 'True Vengeance' and 'Perfect Target', working alongside fellow martial artists and aspiring filmmakers like Chad Stahelski, David Leitch, Brad Martin, Jonathan Eusebio and J.J. Perry. When the video market crashed in the early 2000s, Daniel took a different route; moving into the stunt world to become what Chad Stahelski calls an "action actor", someone who can act, fight, perform the stunts, and train the actors. When Chad and David launched 87eleven Action Design, Daniel was right beside them, working on all their major hits, from 'The Matrix Reloaded' to 'Parker', 'Logan', all three 'John Wick' films, 'Atomic Blonde', 'Hobbs and Shaw', 'Birds of Prey', and 'Nobody'. For the latter, Daniel also worked as the film's fight trainer, turning the fifty-something comedy writer Bob Odenkirk into a convincing action hero. He puts his multifaceted, hugely successful career down to "pure coincidence", but he is being modest. In hindsight, maybe becoming an action star was always his destiny? After all, his first fight scene was with Jean-Claude Van Damme during a fashion shoot in the early 1990s. It was Van Damme's encouragement which would provide Daniel with the confidence he needed to try his hand at acting and - as they say - the rest is history. Daniel Bernhardt's new film, 'Hell Hath No Fury' - directed by Jesse V. Johnson - is out now in cinemas in North America and released on digital from 9 November, courtesy of Well Go USA. On 22 December, Daniel returns to 'The Matrix' franchise, reprising his role as Agent Johnson in 'The Matrix Resurrections'. When Brad Martin goes into work there's a very real possibility his boss could ask to set him on fire. That's because he's a stunt man. Comic-Con just wrapped up another virtual edition and I'll be wrapping up July's theme of celebrating pop culture by highlighting Brad Martin and Mickey Faccinello, who have both worked on the wildly successful Marvel franchise. They share stories about how you can become a stunt person and what the job entails from being set on fire to wire work to motion capture. Join me in paying tribute to the people who often take your breath away and make your jaw drop down in awe. And check out the latest Geeky Gourmet video where you can learn how to make delicious edible blood that can also enhance any stunt work you might do at home. Brad Martin is one of Hollywood's top stunt coordinators with a string of blockbusters to his name, including the 'Underworld' series, 'Live Free or Die Hard', 'Tropic Thunder', 'Gemini Man', plus the Emmy-nominated 2021 Marvel series, 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', to name but a few. He has recently been in Northern Ireland shooting second unit and stunt coordinating on a big-screen adaptation of the long-running video game, 'Dungeons & Dragons', scheduled for release in 2023. That's not bad for a martial artist from Sun Valley, Idaho, who followed his dreams of becoming a stunt performer to Los Angeles – even though he wasn't particularly sure at the time what a stunt performer did. Luckily, he quickly made friends with fellow martial artists and aspiring action directors J.J. Perry, David Leitch and Chad Stahelski; together, on a diet of determination and Jackie Chan movies, they would go on to transform Hollywood action cinema, becoming technically gifted filmmakers in their own right. We discuss Brad's journey from George Clooney's regular stunt double to fighting Sammo Hung in 'Martial Law', Keanu Reeves in 'The Matrix' sequels, and leading the stunt departments on some of the biggest action films of all time. Brad is now bringing back Smashcut Action Design, a company he first created in the 1990s. Using his wealth of knowledge from over 30 years in the business, he will be looking to consult with some of Hollywood's biggest producers to create and inspire action design from the early conception phase to completion. Join Victor Rodriguez & Mookie Alexander as they deviate from the normal format of the show and rather than delving into an MMA event of yesteryear they are covering the FIGHT ZONE PPV (pay-per-view) event which aired on the “Action Pay-Per-View-Channel” in May 1995. The event was produced by boxing phenom Sugar Ray Leonard. Notable to pro wrestling fans would be the appearance of Tony Hale, who appeared in the WWF as Ludvig Borga in 1993. So let’s take a trip back to the mid-90s this week and check out this strange hybrid of mixed martial arts and pro wrestling tactics, complete with results, analysis, and of course a few laughs. As mentioned, this week we feature the May, 1995 ‘FIGHT ZONE’ PPV event, (last episode we covered BELLATOR 58: ‘Michael Chandler vs Eddie Alvarez’). This event can be viewed while we delve into the show on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/kH2VODfVmGI We start off the program with a totally nineties hype-train opener: “If raw, bare-fisted combat is what you crave – then enter the FIGHT ZONE! The most dangerous place on Earth!!!” The show went down from the “world famous Hollywood Palladium Arena” in California. Your ‘commentators’ were Danny Martinez and Cameron Fedder (a self-described underground fight devotee and fan of violence). The big name host of the show was none other than Eric Estrada (of television hit show C.H.I.P.S. fame), along with co-host Ray Leonard, Jr.. Their ‘Reporter on the Floor’ was Brad Fuller and their ‘Technical Advisor’ & Former World Karate Champion, Michael Jai White was on the scene for ‘fight insights’. They had a lengthy cast lined up for the event which included: Willie Anderson Jr aka: ‘Pit Fighter’, Adam Avoledo aka: ‘Badd Karma’, Clayton J. Barber aka: ‘Hollywood’, Richard Branden aka: ‘Daddy Rich’, Spitfire Brown aka: ‘Spitfire’, Michael Chaturantabut aka: ‘Captain Kick’, Genrri Diammante aka: ‘Henry’, Cameron Flener, R.J. Frost aka: ‘Flyboy’, Mitch Gould aka: ‘Mr. Smith’, Rickson Gracie, Tony Hale aka: ‘Viking’, Jeff Harris aka: ‘J.D. Harms’, Carlton Holder, Tom Howard, Howard Jackson, Pat E. Johnson, Kazja as himself, Tae-John Lee, Rae Manzon, Brad Martin aka: ‘The Plow’, Andre McCoy aka: ‘Cheap Shot’, Scott McElroy aka: ‘Bruce Burly’, Mario Mugavero, Hien Nguyen, Richard Notron, Mikael Paul Patrick O’Tighearnaigh aka: ‘Irish Assassin’, Chris Palermo, Erik Paulson, Eric Perrodin aka: ‘Phlash’, J.J. Perry, Matthew Pollino aka: ‘El Muerte’, Dennis Reese aka: ‘Garbage Man’, Burton Richardson, J.D. Rifkin aka: ‘Suit’, Cynthia Rothrock, Joe Son, Chad Stahelski aka: ‘Ski’, Nils Allen Stewart aka: ‘Mongolian’, Jen Sung, Lelagi Togisala aka: ‘Butch’, Takis Triggelis aka: ‘Genre’, Kenneth Turner aka: ‘KC Flow’, Don Wilson, and Marcus Young aka: ‘Tetsuo’. And you can’t forget, ‘The Easy Riders Leather Girls’. Yes, all of that talent appeared in under an hour. The show was produced by Seth Ersoff, Brad Fuller and Sugar Ray Leonard. Stunts performed by J.D. Rifkin with an on-site Stunt Coordinator, Jan Washburn. A popular television gimmick at the time was phone-in viewer interactivity, so the program invited the viewers to call their hotline after the show and vote for who they wanted to be the Champion, regardless them winning their bout or not. _______________________________ If you enjoy our show, "heart" us here on SC, or "like" & share over on whichever BE Presents Podcast Channel happens to be your listening platform of choice.

We hope you guys enjoy this week's show. With all the cold crazy weather in Alabama, the last week or so has been a struggle on the water, but the good news is, we know what is right around the corner. We start this week off at West Point Lake with Captain Ken Bearden. It's hit or miss down there right now, so cover a lot of water to find the fish. We then head to Lake Martin with Captain David Hare and learn that if the cold weather herd the largemouth bite, it didn't hurt the stripes. These guys are crushing it and it's only going to get better. We finish up North on the Tennessee River with Brad Martin. It's a struggle up there right now for the bass and crappie but its about to get much better. Please subscribe, rate, and review wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts and if you'd like us to email you the podcast, head over to greatdaysoutdoors.com/affr, and we'll send you the new show each week. Explicit language used this episode of the Your Car Dealer Podcast. As a used car dealer in 2019 and going into 2020, there is a growing problem in the industry. It's creeping in slowly and daily to dismantle great car dealerships systematically. The problem is a lack of focus on what got you to the dance. Most used car dealers have a particular expertise, are really good in a certain area. What is that for you? Where are you the best in class (or as close to it as possible)? Instead of continuing to get better at what that expertise is, we sometimes get off going into areas that we want to dabble in because we get bored. Shiny object syndrome is real and a daily fight to beat. #YourCarDealerBond #UsedCarDealer #CarDealerProfitability Mike Ramos discusses a real story from his youth and ties it to used car dealer industry. Let's call this acquaintance Brad Martin and the story here gives a great lesson for dealers out there that are losing focus. Here's a great episode that details the best practices involved in drive your Inventory for Personal Use? http://cal-surety.libsyn.com/can-i-drive-my-used-car-dealer-inventory-for-personal-use Do you need car dealer bond?... https://www.cal-surety.com/auto-dealer-bond/ Email Mike Ramos directly at mike@yourcardealerbond.com or hit us up at 866-357-4405.
