Sources following these statements claimed that an agreement had been reached regarding social media around X-Men'97 and DeMayo breached that contract. It resumed in July and concluded four months later. Filming locations included Canada, England's Pinewood Studios and the country of Malta. Unlike its two predecessors, Legendary Entertainment was not involved in the film's production as Universal ended their partnership with the company in 2019 after the expiration of their four-year deal. Jurassic World Dominion is distributed by Universal Pictures and premiered in Mexico City on May 23, 2022. It was theatrically released in the United States on June 10, 2022, in IMAX, 4DX, RealD 3D, and Dolby Cinema. The film has grossed $462 million worldwide, becoming the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2022, but received negative reviews from critics who criticized its screenplay and runtime, with many claiming the franchise had run its course. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/popcorn-junkies/message

#DalePacoto❤️ Timeline 00:00:00 INTRO FOSERA DE 'THE BAD BATCH' 00:01:04 INICIO Y PRESENTACIONES 00:05:48 ANÁLISIS THE BAD BATCH CAPÍTULOS 7 AL 16 DE LA TEMPORADA 1 03:01:35 CONSIDERACIONES FINALES, DESPEDIDAS Y CIERRE 03:12:00 BONUS www.lafosadelrancor.com
It is well documented how practically no one felt that The Rise of Skywalker was a satisfactory conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. It also wasn't the originally intended third film; Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow had originally written Duel of the Fates, to be directed by Trevorrow, as the ninth film in the saga. A draft of that script from December of 2016, a full year before the release of The Last Jedi leaked online some time ago. For this week's show, Liz, Matt, and Brian read the script and share their thoughts. Would this have been an improvement over the film we all saw nearly 2 years ago? Is it a good thing that this script never saw production? We strongly encourage you to read the script before listening to this episode, or else it will likely make little, if any, sense.
No new Star Wars comics out this week, yet that doesn't mean we've got nothing to discuss. This week's episode is an interview with Andrew Winegarner who took it upon himself to adapt the leaked script for Star Wars IX by dismissed director Colin Trevorrow and writer Derek Connolly. Winegarner hasn't held back, delivering six issues of the seven-issue adaptation (the final issue is on its way), telling a story that feels natural and, as Jeff put it, "very much like a Star Wars story."The comic can be read online (https://bit.ly/39subuu) and its time well spent. It's the Episode IX we'll never get to see. This week, we look at Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly's unproduced script for the finale of the Skywalker Saga! Colin Trevorrow was announced as the writer-director of Star Wars: Episode IX in August 2015, with writing partner Derek Connolly in tow. At the time, Lucasfilm was riding high on the success of The Force Awakens, and Trevorrow and Connolly had hit a home run at the box office with Jurassic World. But in September 2017, they were removed from the project, and JJ Abrams returned to direct what would become The Rise of Skywalker. A leaked script purporting to be an early draft of Trevorrow and Connolly's Episode IX, which would have been called Duel of the Fates, has been doing the rounds online for the last few months, but Baz and I hadn't taken the time to read it – until now. Now, with nothing but time on our hands, we sat down to read this alternate version of Episode IX and discuss what we liked, what we didn't like, and what we would have missed the most if The Rise of Skywalker didn't exist. Force Material is a podcast exploring the secrets and source material of Star Wars with hosts Rohan Williams and Baz McAlister. The Explorers just finished their table read of the unproduced Episode IX script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly and they HAVE THOUGHTS! Joined by the rest of the crew who helped make this momentous event happen, Sam, Brian and the gang give their hot take reactions to what worked for them in this script, what didn't, which of our performances they enjoyed the most, and dig in to how this script compares to the one that was delivered in The Rise of Skywalker!

Here we go! ///// > ///// Today’s movie is STAR WARS: EPISODE IX - THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, the final installment in the recently coined Skywalker Saga, directed by J.J. Abrams, and written for the screen in collaboration with Chris Terrio, based on a story by Derek Connolly, Colin Trevorrow, and Kathleen Kennedy, based on the characters and universe created by George Lucas. Following the events of THE LAST JEDI, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) discovers the path to the hidden Sith world of Exegol, where he also learns that Emporer Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) is still alive and wants Rey (Daisy Ridley) dead. Now the Resistance must face this new threat, before Palpatine conquers the entire galaxy. No spoilers. Before we start talking about today’s movie, I want to walk through the sordid history of the Star Wars film franchise, particular with the naming of this nine movie film series the Skywalker Saga. My first taste of Star Wars films was watching RETURN OF THE JEDI on television, having been far too young to have seen the films in theaters. I was absolutely entranced by the Ewoks and thought the lightsabers were pretty cool. I also knew that my peers had quite a few of the toys, which became a sort of status symbol amongst us. I think I was more into G.I. Joe and Transformers at the time, but I definitely dug Star Wars, and when it became available, I bought the trilogy on VHS for a lot more than I should have paid. I also read quite a few of the extended universe novels and comic books, which my friend had, including the incredible Timothy Zahn trilogy currently being reworked into the new canon. I started out knowing way less than my friends, and through a lot of reading, came to know more about that galaxy far, far away. I might have been too young for the original trilogy, but I was definitely old enough to know the hype was so real in 1999 when THE PHANTOM MENACE was finally coming to theaters, sixteen years after the last film. My friend group was mostly nerd, or at least nerd-friendly, so we got our tickets for the midnight showing, got all sorts of liquored up, then headed to see the film. And, as we all know by now, it didn’t live up to expectations. I don’t think it could have. The special effects were incredible, but the story lacked something important, and also included the overly-maligned Jar Jar Binks, who became the target for this hype backlash. By the time 2005’s REVENGE OF THE SITH had graced theaters, the fanbase had reached new levels of toxicity, and the films quietly disappeared as Lucasfilm went into production for THE CLONE WARS animated series. It wasn’t until my daughter started getting into Star Wars that our family went back to view the first two trilogies, which was well after Lucasfilm was sold to Disney for $4 billion. Subsequent viewings made the original trilogy seem a lot less good and the prequel trilogy to seem a lot better than it had been received. One Movie Spawn and I began working our way through THE CLONE WARS, along with a whole new generation of Star Wars enthusiasts finding more affinities with Ahsoka and Anakin. It also filled in a lot of the gaps between Episode II and Episode III, both in terms of plot and character development. So, when Disney announced they were bringing J.J. Abrams on board to reboot the franchise, I was stoked. THE RISE OF SKYWALKER feels like what happens when a franchise tries too hard to safely cater to its fans. Whatever criticisms there might be of the first two trilogies, George Lucas did provide a singular vision for the characters and the story, building a universe out of the surprise success of A NEW HOPE, with the constant support and co-leadership of Kathleen Kennedy. However, in the wake of Lucas’ retirement, and the backlash from a subset of franchise fans, that vision has slowly gotten muddled in the past few years between the continuing saga films and the one-offs set before the original trilogy, and in the case of ROGUE ONE, right before the original trilogy. We should expect a few bumps in the road trying to rewrite canon, rather than just starting over. Even the pre-reboot canon had more than one instance of contradictions requiring clever retcon, a sign that the universe was growing much too fast for its creators. All the toxic fans came out of the woodwork again, picking apart the plot of THE FORCE AWAKENS, then the absolutely bizarre fascination with tearing down Kelly Marie Tran’s portrayal of Rose Tico in THE LAST JEDI. With each bit of criticism, the franchise seems to be constantly overcorrecting. Critically speaking, the new films have been well-received when they take chances (THE FORCE AWAKENS, ROGUE ONE, THE LAST JEDI), and not as well received when corporate has come in to provide feedback and comments. SOLO had a major shake-up along the way, when Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired in favor of Ron Howard, with the result being muddled. And now, with THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, we see overcorrections all over the place, real or perceived. We have toxic fans to thank here again. It seemed like every bit of information about THE RISE OF SKYWALKER came with an avalanche of hot takes. I don’t mind speculation, especially with teaser information, but toxic fans have a way of turning speculation into fact, then forcing everyone to pick a side, and lambasting anyone who doesn’t choose their side. I still can’t believe folks thought there was a beef between Johnson and Abrams, and that they would use $200M movies to wage it, but it happened. The coverage in the wake of THE RISE OF SKYWALKER has already started with the “IS STAR WARS OVER?!” messaging, and frankly, I’m getting tired of it. So, to be safe, it looks like Lucasfilm brought in a team of writers, to try and make everyone happy, and not really succeeding anywhere in the process. The story appears to be a collaboration between Abrams, Terrio, Connolly, and Trevorrow, and it really shows in THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. Connolly and Trevorrow are no strangers to franchises, having successfully, in a matter of speaking, rebooted the Jurassic Park franchise with the current Jurassic World trilogy. THE RISE OF SKYWALKER contains a lot of iconic shots, similar to the Jurassic Park franchise. And those iconic moments look really great in the screen, but the connective tissue between those shots is, at best, a mixed bag. Everything is played pretty safe, and as such, doesn’t really surprise. The question is why? How can an iconic franchise fizzle out in such spectacular fashion? Well, first, it was an impossible task, told over too many years to be effective. Lucas’ career appears to have been one of fascination, moving between his two major franchises, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Franchises, as we saw more than once last year, require consistency to stay viable, and having ten to sixteen year gaps between trilogies is ineffective to maintain momentum. I wonder how much better these stories may have been without the massive gaps. And I’ll just say here that “The Mandalorian” gives me a great deal of hope for the future of the franchise. The other major factor is the storytelling approach. The trilogies have acted as the backbone for the franchise, with the rest of the canon being built off that backbone. By contrast, the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not just in consistency, kicking up to four films a year soon, but also in their crossover approach for building their backbone. All the character development we need for Marvel characters happens inside their individual films, so we can focus on the story almost exclusively in the crossover films. THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, having no other real development for its characters outside of the canon novels, ends up having to do character development, find the iconic shots, and close out a massive nine-film space opera story in one film. Much more story was needed before this film to make it effective on the screen for franchise fans. STAR WARS: EPISODE IX - THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is a lackluster ending to a nine-movie saga, which may either lead to some deep introspection for the franchise, or perhaps releases the franchise from the three trilogy burden initially envisioned by George Lucas. Struggling to do too much with the final film, Abrams & Terrio (along with Connolly, Trevorrow, and Kennedy) attempt to please everyone, and end up with mixed results. Where it lacks in story, however, it makes up for somewhat in Lucasfilm’s commitment to special effects and gripping action scenes, along with more than a few iconic shots set in the beauty of space. Hardcore Star Wars fans have already seen the film, possibly more than once, and will likely have mixed feelings. Everyone else, especially those without franchise expectations, will find a visually appealing film that is still ultimately entertaining at its core. And much like the prequel trilogies, I suspect this reboot trilogy may age better over time. Rotten Tomatoes: 55% Metacritic: 54 One Movie Punch: 6.5/10 STAR WARS: EPISODE IX - THE RISE OF SKYWALKER (2019) is rated PG-13 and is currently playing intheaters.

Welcome the newest episode of Dark Discussions, your place for the discussion of horror film, fiction, and all that’s fantastic. With 2015’s Jurassic World, it showed that dinosaurs were still hip. Not only a big box office draw but also a critical success. Colin Trevorrow, the original director, along with his longtime screenwriting partner Derek Connolly, co-wrote the script for the new 2018 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Spaniard director J.A. Bayona takes the reins bringing back leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in what has turned out to be another box office success. Three years later, after the original park has been abandoned, a volcanic eruption happens upon the Costa Rican island that the dinosaurs inhabit. Claire Dearing, with the help of Owen Grady and the Lockwood Corporation, decide to try to save the dinosaurs and transport them to another island for safety. But nefarious forces are at works where they not only want to take the dinosaurs for their own corporate reasons, but also plan to murder anyone who is in their way. This new movie, though receiving much harsher reviews, has become an international box office sensation. Many critics feel it is silly and a bit of a retread to the prior films, but audiences are lapping it up with enthusiasm. Dark Discussions takes a look at this new entrée in the Jurassic franchise and give their thoughts on whether the film lives up to the dinosaur mayhem of the prior film. As always we welcome your comments: darkdiscussions@aol.com (written email or attached mp3 files) WWW.DARKDISCUSSIONS.COM

Mark Radulich and Robert Winfree the last film in the Jurassic Park franchise. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Damn You Hollywood. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a 2018 American science fiction adventure film and the sequel to Jurassic World (2015). Directed by J. A. Bayona, it is the fifth installment of the Jurassic Park film series, as well as the second installment of a planned Jurassic World trilogy. Derek Connolly and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow both returned as writers, with Trevorrow and original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg acting as executive producers.
The park is indeed very much gone... Here we have the fifth instalment in the Jurassic franchise and the sequel to the soft reboot/revamp that came in 2015. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Directed by J. A Bayona and written by Derek Connolly and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, Fallen Kingdom shoehorns returning characters into another action romp featuring dinosaurs. Three years after the evacuation and closure of Jurassic World, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from an erupting volcano. Owen and Claire are caught up in a plot to capture and sell the dinosaurs on the black market, as well as a newly engineered hybrid created from Indominus Rex and Velociraptor DNA – the Indoraptor.
On their inaugural podcast, Chris and Owen decide to test the containment fences of their own nostalgia by tearing into Jurassic World, and ask the hard questions like: how could anyone get bored with dinosaurs, and why did the filmmakers feel the need to torture that poor assistant to death? Jurassic World was directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Derek Connolly, and Colin Trevorrow, and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Vincent D'Onofrio, and a really mundane looking super-dinosaur that's basically a T-Rex that hasn't left the basement in a couple months. Action Movie Anatomy hosts Ben Bateman and Andrew Ghai break down Jurassic World with Roxy Striar. Jurassic World is a 2015 American science fiction adventure film directed by Colin Trevorrow. It is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series. The screenplay was co-written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Derek Connolly, and Trevorrow. The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, B.D. Wong, andIrrfan Khan. Wong is the only actor from any of the previous films to appear in Jurassic World. In the film, a fully functional dinosaur theme park located on Isla Nublar (the location of the first Jurassic Park film) is plunged into chaos as a genetically modified dinosaur-hybrid named Indominus rex breaks loose and runs rampant across the island. A fourth film was initially intended to begin production in 2004 for a summer 2005 release, but endured over a decade of "development hell" as scheduled release dates were pushed ba --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
