Buddy Morris is a force of nature this is an unvarnished conversation with colorful language abound. Buddy holds nothing back in his honest approach to four decades of sports development. In this particular conversation, I allowed coach to dive into his stream of consciousness and take me along for the ride. We discussed athletic development at the professional level and the importance of variation. He discusses the value of sprinting above all other modalities especially in a year without a lot of contact with NFL professionals. He explains his worry about personal trainers and therapists who might not be entirely altruistic in their motives when dealing with multi-million dollar athletes. We discuss what coach Morris has learned from the likes of Dan Pfaff and Louie Simmons. He details numerous stories about the recovery process, rehab, and work-to-rest ratios for the best path to sport readiness. I thoroughly enjoy my time with Buddy. This week on the Daly Dose, we are back from a very interesting break, and we discuss our time off last week. We also reflect on doing a sports show when sports aren’t actually taking place, and we share how we are spending our time in quarantine. It isn’t quite what we expected. The New York Mets get some bad news, the Summer Olympics get delayed, and ESPN seems to be covering a pretty big NFL story. Then, we take a look at a few of the things that we have learned over the past few weeks in sports. The NFL has a new collective bargaining agreement. Did the players approve something that they will regret later? The Dallas Cowboys may have made a mistake, running backs are having a hard time in the NFL, and the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Las Vegas Raiders are making some very interesting moves in free agency. Finally, with Tom Brady taking his talents to Tampa, we countdown the Top 5 Hall of Fame NFL quarterbacks that changed teams late in their careers!

Welcome to an all-new season of Suiting Up Podcast. I'm your host – professional athlete and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League – Paul Rabil. Today's episode features one of the greatest athletes of all-time. Yet beyond the record-smashing, multiple MVP awards, and Super Bowl Championship, Jim Brown has impacted our human race arguably more so through his endeavors off the field – marked by his 2014 Muhammed Ali Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement award. On the show, Jim tells me about his upbringing in sports, the tactics behind his success – from his meticulous training regimen and game day prep, to his superior intelligence, including ways he would "win the mind game". Additionally, we discuss the impact Jim has made on society – from his charitable initiatives, to job creation programs for inner-city men and women, to his current efforts working with the incarcerated through extensive rehabilitation programs and post-incarceration job opportunities. Among everything he has accomplished and what's left in front of him, Jim's words of wisdom throughout the show our worth keeping a notepad and pen handy. Enjoy the show. With over 70 shows in our first 2 years of recording Suiting Up, we've interviewed guests like Bill Belichick, Venus Williams, Drew Brees, Gary Vaynerchuk and Tony Robbins – and every time, we learn a new skill, pickup an idea, or hear an unexpected backstory about how that person wielded greatness from their career.
