We discuss how these changes affect care quality, patient admissions, and facility inspections. Robert also addresses Idaho's nursing shortage and new delegation rules allowing LPNs to conduct focused assessments—offering temporary relief for overwhelmed RNs. The conversation rounds out with bold education initiatives including high school LPN programs and stackable credentials aimed at growing the healthcare workforce. In this inspiring episode, we explore the vital practice of seed saving in Idaho and how it's transforming local communities through the passionate work of the Wood River Seed Library. Host David DeHaas sits down with Amy Mathews for an enlightening conversation on why saving seeds isn't just a gardening hobby—it's a powerful act of reclaiming food sovereignty, nurturing bioregional resilience, and building robust local food systems. You'll discover how heirloom seeds, adapted to Idaho's unique climate and growing conditions, hold the key to long-term food security and ecological sustainability. Amy shares the mission of the Wood River Seed Library and how their work supports both new and seasoned gardeners in developing skills in seed harvesting, cleaning, storage, and viability—ensuring that open-pollinated, non-GMO seeds continue to thrive year after year.We also dive into the importance of bioregional seed adaptation, a practice that ensures seeds are not only locally grown but also genetically resilient to regional pests, diseases, and climate variations. This approach empowers Idahoans to break their dependence on corporate seed companies and fosters a deeper connection to land, culture, and community resilience.Whether you're a homesteader, small-scale farmer, or someone passionate about organic gardening and regenerative practices, this episode will equip you with valuable insights and practical steps to join the growing movement of seed savers in Idaho and beyond.Tune in for a heartfelt discussion on heritage, sustainability, and the grassroots revival of seed stewardship that is quietly redefining agricultural independence across the Gem State.Support the show Ready for your healing journey?Visit our website: www.LivingWatersCleanse.com Or give us a call at: (208) 378-9911Stem Cell Activation Patches:www.StemCellPatch.netGet your Supplements and Natural Body Products Here:www.livingwaterscleanse.com/supplementsQI-Shield EMF Devices:Protect your whole home or office with a touric shield from EMF's. 1. This is my family's first year as part of NICA. (For those that don't know, NICA--aka the National Interscholastic Cycling Association--is an organization that gets middle school and high school kids together in a team environment to ride and race mountain bikes). My husband and I are coaching, and our 6th grade son is a student athlete. In just a few months of being on a team (go Boise Brave!), we caught the NICA bug. It's a fantastic organization that promotes fun, inclusivity, equity, respect, and community! So obviously, I was very excited to sit down with Amanda Carey for this interview. Amanda is the President of NICA (and a fellow Idahoan), a former professional mountain bike racer, and a woman who is making a difference in the lives of kids and in our community. Even if you don't have teenage kids, you'll want to listen to this episode to find out why NICA matters for the bike community and how you can get involved.
