we are happy to welcome back friend of the show and man about time James Balsamo to talk about one of his new films Karate Ghost 2 Dojo of Death! James Balsamo is a jack-of-all-trades; a songwriter, an actor, a sculptor, but most importantly, a filmmaker extraordinaire. From the time he was just a lad, and like so many others, James became fascinated with the Horror genre, attending his first Horror convention at the age of 8. As a youngster, James knew what he wanted to do when "he grew up" - follow in the footsteps of his star slasher icons, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. Fueled by his ambitions, James convinced his parents to enroll him in Acting School. As a student in many prestigious New York acting schools, including Lee Strasberg, James' passion for film and acting continued to grow. A New Yorker all his life, Balsamo continued his professional career at Professional Performing Arts High School in New York City. James grew tired of theatrical acting after high school, and knew it was time to make the transition to the big screen. He left his Shakespearean tights at the door, and spilled big screen blood all the way through Five Towns College. Balsamo appears on both sides of the camera in many of his works, including his most recent project, Hack Job. Hack Job, with a budget under $60,000 has made its international debut, is selling worldwide, as well as exciting mentions during the NYC Tour of music icons GWAR and Ghoul. For now, James continues the "I Spill Your Guts" push, as he prepares for his newest project "Cool As Hell". James Balsamo is an American filmmaker that has made over 100 films with his production company Acid Bath Productions. Known for his schlocky b-movie style humor and aesthetic, James has managed to make his project on the cheap while still raking in the greatest cameos to sweeten the scenes. Weird Al Yankovic, Tommy Chong, Oderus Urungus (GWAR), Andy Dick, Lloyd Kaufman, Tom Savini and so many other legendary people have appeared in James films at one point or another. He continues to make indie filmmaking a fun career path for himself and everyone he brings on board. The atmosphere on his sets is contagious and you'll get a sense of that just by viewing his work. Be sure to follow James on Instagram @JamesBalsamo and check out his flicks @AcidBathProductions ! There will be a special screening at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood at the end of the Summer so be on the lookout for tickets/announcements! We're talking with James Balsamo about his latest movie Cool as hell 2This episode is sponsored by Deadly Grounds Coffee "Its good to get a little Deadly" https://deadlygroundscoffee.comRent or Cool As Hell 2 https://vimeo.com/ondemand/coolashell2After goofball Rich accidentally decapitates his best friend Benny while trimming a Christmas tree with a machete, he’s forced to go on a quest to find God’s bong and use it to bring his friend back to life. Az the Demon and Boogar, everyone’s favorite snot, are back in this over-the-top sequel to Cool as Hell. The big-breasted, beautiful women, the bubbling buckets of blood and the bountiful bongs of bud will have you doubling over in laughter. What more could you ask for in a star-studded cameo film? It’s two-times scarier than the first one and you’ll be laughing twice as hard with Cool as Hell 2Follow James Balsamo http://www.acidbathproductions.com/ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3859710/ https://twitter.com/AcidBathProduct https://www.facebook.com/james.balsamo https://www.instagram.com/jamesbalsamohttp://www.acidbathproductions.com/Buy James Balsamo's Total Pun-isment: Bad joke book https://alexa.design/2nz2ZEgHanukkah https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2562146/?ref=nmflmgprd5Obediah Lazarus is the son of Judah Lazarus, the original Hanukiller. In 1983, Judah terrorized NY for seven nights and was preparing to sacrifice his eight year old son, Obediah, on the eighth night. Judah was convinced it was God's will, like Abraham and Isaac, to sacrifice his only son to God. Luckily for Obediah, police tracked Judah down and stopped the sacrifice, but Judah was gunned down in the process. Warped by hatred with no guidance, Obediah Lazarus becomes a religious extremist, intolerant of non-Jews, "bad Jews", and those he perceives to be enemies of the Jewish faith. He is about to unleash eight nights of horror. A group of Jewish teens are getting ready to party for the holidays, but are in for a Festival of Frights. With the help of a wise Rabbi, they deduce that the murder victims have violated Judaic law and that their only chance at survival is to embrace their faith.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tltTxQxiSTUFind out more at https://wicked-horror-show.pinecast.coSend us your feedback online: https://pinecast.com/feedback/wicked-horror-show/99fe910a-9ea6-452b-97ac-4cdf0c598938

Episode 31 - Director James Balsamo joins Pete, Sean, and Will in the pitch meeting as we spitball our most cringe-worthy pitch ever - an "outrageous romantic teen comedy" that may raise a furor with some listeners called "KYLE HITLER". Originally released December 12th, 2016. Kyle Hitler (Thomas Mann) is your typical, awkward, unmemorable high school senior - other than the fact that he shares the same last name as one of the most hated and reviled figures in world history. When Adolf Hitler himself (portrayed by Paul Rudd) learns of a loophole that will get him out of hell and into heaven, he must attempt the impossible...and get his great great grand descendant laid! Can the ghost of Adolf Hitler show a modern day millennial how to be cool and be suave with the ladies? Find out when you listen to us painfully pitch, "KYLE HITLER". Also starring Disney Channel star Dove Cameron as the object of Kyle's affection and Adam Sandler as his father. Next Monday we return with an all new episode of Pitch It Movie Podcast with filmmaker Bobby Heckman and actress Sibel Kipchek as they pitch a dark reimagined sequel of a beloved 80's John Hughes Sci-Fi classic called "WEIRD SCIENCE REQUIEM". Originally released December 5th, 2016. Still not convinced governments want balanced populations? Will Smith leads an all-star cast as a man who believes that the country is headed towards a catastrophic event and spreads his conspiracy theories through a streaming TV show from undisclosed locations. The story unravels as we follow several characters - including middle class immigrants, housewives, bank robbers, and government officials - who's lives criss-cross into each other and will be affected by a major event that is meant to change the planet and stabilize world population. Told through the stylish lens of director Alejandro González Iñárritu, "IT'S COME TO THIS" also features Tom Hardy, Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Jim Carrey, Gael García Bernal, Kristen Wiig and more! Tonight we're remembering our friend and author Nick Kisella, who passed away suddenly just under a week ago from today, just after returning home from making yet another splash at New Jersey's Chiller Theater and debuting his latest novel, The Eyes of the Jackal, leaving his family and many, many fans and loved ones devastated and dumbfounded over the abrupt loss of this great man. We're also going to be making listeners aware of the charity projects and fundraisers for his family currently in progress, and hearing from many who were close to him and who were inspired by his life and works. About Nick: Nick Kisella grew up in Manville, New Jersey, where he began writing fantasy and horror while attending high school.
