Is society on the cusp of a “Great Turning,” as Joanna Macy has claimed? How do we prepare ourselves for a great moral awakening and spiritual revolution? What is the nature of revolution? Since it is a political season, we'll focus on this question from a political perspective and take adrienne maree brown as our guide.
I think there is a very good chance that this becomes a regular in our age next season, if I was a coach it's something that I'd be making a priority. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I have a conversation with Michael Raduga, the innovative CEO of REMspace, who is pushing the boundaries of brain science and consciousness. Michael's journey from Siberia to Silicon Valley is nothing short of extraordinary. After experiencing lucid dreams and sleep paralysis as a teenager, he became fascinated with the dream world and its potential. This fascination led him to perform a self-implantation of a neural chip, a bold experiment aimed at exploring the power of REM sleep. We explore how REMspace is at the forefront of developing groundbreaking technologies designed to harness lucid dreaming, with implications that could transform mental health, education, and entertainment. Michael explains how his personal experiences shaped his vision and how his self-experimentation might pave the way for future innovations in neuroscience. We also discuss the ethical challenges that come with such advancements, including the risks of dream "hacking" and the importance of developing these technologies responsibly. Michael shares his hopes for a future where lucid dreaming becomes a widely accessible tool, offering experiences that go beyond the limitations of physical reality. Join us as we explore the fascinating possibilities of merging dream and reality with Michael Raduga on Tech Talks Daily. Welcome to the 1920s and the 1990s. Thanks to AI. The decade-long business cycle works again with economic growth and a strong bull market in stocks. Are we in 1995 or 1995? 1924-25? "We're now in the initial stages of the next revolution." Dr. Michio Kaku, the renowned theoretical physicist, walks through the evolutionary journey of quantum computing, from analog to digital to the quantum era. Quantum computers hold immense promise because of their ability to tap into parallel universes, which boosts their computational power exponentially. They could revolutionize agriculture, energy, and medicine, solving complex problems like creating efficient fertilizers, achieving fusion energy, and modeling diseases at the molecular level. The race between major tech companies and intelligence agencies to actualize this power is intense, as they could redefine industries and even global power structures if they succeed. The endeavor isn't without challenges; we've yet to create a fully functional quantum computer. But Kaku envisions a future where quantum computers unravel complex equations, potentially shedding light on profound cosmic mysteries. The truth about wormholes and quantum computers ------------------------------------------------------------------------ About Dr. Michio Kaku Dr. Michio Kaku is the co-founder of string field theory, and is one of the most widely recognized scientists in the world today. He has written 4 New York Times Best Sellers, is the science correspondent for CBS This Morning and has hosted numerous science specials for BBC-TV, the Discovery/Science Channel. His radio show broadcasts to 100 radio stations every week. Dr. Kaku holds the Henry Semat Chair and Professorship in theoretical physics at the City College of New York (CUNY), where he has taught for over 25 years. He has also been a visiting professor at the Institute for Advanced Study as well as New York University (NYU). --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bigthink/message Learn more about your ad choices. The "What's Your Revolution?" Show with Dr. Charles Corprew"
In this conversation, Travis and I discuss the importance of communication in building relationships and the impact of heart health on sexual performance. More specifically, we delve into the role of diet in maintaining heart health and how a plant-based diet can improve sexual function. Finally, we discuss closing the year and looking ahead to personal revolutions. We discuss the importance of expanding one's revolution, not staring at the finish line, and linking one's likes to their goals. We explore letting go and moving forward, reframing relationships, and giving one's talent to the world. The conversation emphasizes the need for progress rather than perfection and encourages listeners to take a chance on change. It's wonderful to end the year and begin the next with a revolution! Takeaways 1. Effective communication is essential for building strong relationships. 2. Heart health plays a significant role in sexual performance. 3. A plant-based diet can improve heart health and sexual function. Blood viscosity affects sexual health, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help. 4. Shame and misconceptions around erectile dysfunction should be addressed. 5. Closing out the year is an opportunity to reflect on personal revolutions and set goals for the future. Expand your revolution by looking beyond your immediate surroundings and considering the broader impact you can make. 6. Don't focus solely on the finish line; instead, look beyond it and keep running towards your next goal. 7. Link the things you enjoy doing with your goals and aspirations to create a fulfilling and purposeful life. 8. Let go of people and things that no longer align with your growth and surround yourself with a supportive community. 9. Reframe relationships by introducing others to the new version of yourself and understanding their perspectives. 10. Give your talent to the world and positively impact others' lives. 11. Take a chance at change and embrace progress rather than striving for perfection.

Steven Lynch discusses his article in The Leading Edge, "High visual resolution interpretation: The case for virtual seismic reality." Steve lays out the case for why the seismic you have is better than you think. He argues that the industry needs to undergo a complete change of mindset regarding visualization. Steve explains a natural seismic display, the third form of resolution that's often ignored, and the unsung technological hero of the 20th century. Steve hopes to convince you that there's a tremendous amount that you're not seeing. And that most of the information acquired in seismic has yet to be observed or interpreted. This episode will give you much to think about - and maybe help you unlock new oil in old places. Listen to the full archive at https://seg.org/podcast. BIOGRAPHY Dr. Steven Lynch is the Chief Geoscientist for "The Visual Wavefield Project." He received his B.Sc. in Biophysics from the University of Guelph in 1975 and his M.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of British Columbia in 1977. Following a 26-year academic absence, Steve returned to University in 2003 to study seismic visualization and received his Ph.D. from the University of Calgary in 2008. Steve has a wide range of experience in both geophysical research and software development. Early in his career, he managed seismic processing centers and developed techniques for such subjects as refraction statics, depth migration, ray trace structural modeling, and stratigraphic modeling. In the early 2000s, realizing that our ability to perceive seismic needs to keep pace with our ability to acquire and process it, Steve returned to his biophysical roots. He began to study visualization as a science. His research led him to pioneer the field of Virtual Seismic Reality. He now splits his time between developing software for it and teaching courses about it. In this special rebroadcast, we discuss the aspects of the fourth industrial revolution that will affect all life on earth. What will happen in your 15 minute cities? Will this be a forced concept for everyone? Also, do you have to give permission for your brainwave activity to be monitored? Will you have to be chipped? Or has it become more simple? And, will the future need enforcers as we know them today? What will happen to the police forces and the militaries of the world? We ask the questions.

Facts. Getting from the largest government in history to a real “land of the free” isn't going to be quick or easy. But without these three essential ingredients from the “real American Revolution,” we probably won't get there at all. The post Long Road Ahead: 3 Missing Ingredients for the Next Revolution first appeared on Tenth Amendment Center.

This morning, The Two Mikes spoke with Dr. John Diamond, who is a pastor and a Ph.D. historian. We focused on Biden's continuing destruction of the American republic, and the part that the clergy ought to be playing -- but are not -- in the attempt to rally Americans to the defense of their country. Dr. Diamond said that the "Children of Satan always want to kill the children of God", and that is what we are now seeing as the abortionists and their political sponsors seek negate the the Supreme Court's pro-life decision, unleash pornography and gender confusion on grammar school kids, and generally try to sew sexual depravity throughout society. He added that the clergy is avoiding its duties, especially that of protecting their flocks. He said there are three kinds of clery: (a) those who work for Satan, (b) those who are hirelings and seek to use their posts to make money and fill pews, and (c) those who are true shepherds and protect and accurately educate their flocks. In the situation America is now facing, it is those in the last category who must lead their congregants against those who deny that this nation was founded as a Christian nation and insist that every believer stand up and refuse to disobey orders from the federal government that transgress their beliefs. India is becoming the world's fastest-growing startup ecosystem with over 60+ Unicorn Startups, out of which 25+ have gained their Unicorn status in 2021 itself. One of the youngest amongst them is headed by the guest of our today's episode, Amrit Acharya, Co-founder & CEO, Zetwerk. Zetwerk started in 2018, with the idea to help manufacturing managers with managing several suppliers with ease using a dashboard, as previously the role had been very “manual and prone to errors”. The product was great, but when they reached out to potential customers, they didn't get a very optimistic response. Instead these customers wanted a marketplace solution where they could discover and connect with new suppliers. And that's what led to Zetwerk's pivot within 6 months of starting up.Currently Zetwerk helps its customers reduce costs, optimize suppliers and execute production faster. Some stats relating to its current scale - # 15+ Countries - North American, Indo-Pacific & Middle Eastern regions# 25+ Industries - Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Mining & more# 100+ Retained happy customers# 1000+ projectsDuring the episode, Amrit talks in-depth about the nitty-gritty of the manufacturing sector, what are some of the key focus points for customers and much more.Notes - 01:29 - Revenue and scale at Zetwerk04:26 - Solving for market access & capital expenditures for small manufactures05:31 - Zetwerk's revenue model10:15 - Time v/s Quality in manufacturing18:30 - Nature of retained customers20:47 - Order size from $1000 to $30 Mn24:32 - Creating a catalogue for the uncatalogued market36:15 - Approach as an entrepreneur during fundraising

How might feminism be reinvigorated to fully reverse our age of climate chaos and techno-feudalism? Will the next feminist wave be revolutionary enough to address the totality of capitalist cis-heteropatriarchal racism? Sitting on the knife's edge between despair and hope, humanity picks up a silhouette manuscript of its own death, but which, if flipped over, reveals pages that illuminate a way back to the womb of a better future-possible. If we are going to build a just world for all of us, it must start from a politics that addresses the deep complexity of our collective wounds. So in this second episode in a trilogy on 21st Century Feminisms, Jesse & Matt discuss Zillah Eisenstein's short book Abolitionist Socialist Feminism: Radicalizing the Next Revolution (2019). This idiosyncratic manifesto (of sorts) swings in synchronicity with the ethos of this podcast as a brief polemic frustrated with the fucked nature of a besotted world of never-ending injustice, while nonetheless stubbornly insisting on radical, anticapitalist and intersectional solutions. As such, Zillah's voice swims very much in the form and feeling of conversational exchanges—a dialog with her past self and fellow feminists—yearning, groping and clutching onto new ways of thinking that drift into view. The text weaves in and out of many different dimensions at a rapid pace—with a frenetic, anxious energy and a morally righteous indignation—a splicing of many disparate references, experiences, and perspectives into a complex tapestry of exasperated fury. And rightly so. A long, long time ago, we should have already won The Golden Square, and be fluttering into the light of The Utopian Sphere; but alas, here we are instead: still trying to wrest ourselves from this locked, dismal future and leap into a spinning, dazzling and enchanting one. What we must continue to seek out—in the ongoing struggle for human liberation—is a politics that can confront the deep entanglements of compounded hierarchies limiting our collective potential. In order to claim the dignity we all deserve and to unleash the beauty of a shared utopian promise, our unfolding future demands the most radical feminism yet: to dismantle and shatter inequality itself and replace it with boundless love.
