Und das sehr gerne mit dem Auto, denn erstens ist es bequemer, was die Gepäckmitnahme angeht, und zweitens ist es angesichts der aktuellen Streikwellen sicherer, was das Ankommen am Ziel an-geht. Wir touren heute – Nomen est Omen – mit dem Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric. Darum geht es diesmal!Egal, ob es noch in die Alpen zum Wintersport gehen soll, oder schon zum Sonnenbaden ans Mittelmeer. Wer mit der Familie größere Strecken zurücklegen will, braucht ein Auto mit Stauraum für das Urlaubsgepäck und – in Zeiten der Elektromobilität – mit einer vernünftigen Reichweite. Und da kommt der neue Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric in Spiel. Power und Drive!    Sprechen wir mal ganz untypisch für unsere Fahrberichte von der Reichweite. Mit dem 115 kW/156 PS starken, vollelektrischen Kompaktklasse-Kombi Astra Sports Tourer Electric, einem der ersten überhaupt in seiner Klasse, lassen sich bis zu 413 Kilometer (WLTP) ohne Zwischenstopp zurücklegen. Und soll die Reise noch weiter gehen, hält Opel praktisches Ladezubehör bereit. Dazu zählen das Mode-3-Ladekabel genauso wie der Universal Charger mit vier Adaptern. So lässt sich der Astra Sports Tourer Electric an nahezu alle ländertypischen Haushalts- und Industriesteckdosen sowie an öffentliche Ladesäulen anschließen – das ist wichtig für die grenzüberschreitende Reise.    An einer 100 kW-Gleichstrom-Schnellladesäule dauert es nur rund 30 Minuten, um 80 Prozent der Batteriekapazität zu erreichen. Serienmäßig ist auch der dreiphasige 11 kW-Onboard-Charger für schnelle Wechselstromladungen an der heimischen Wall Box. Smart, vernetzt und skalierbar optimiert so beispielsweise die eProWallbox mit bis zu 22 kW Ladeleistung das Aufladen des Fahrzeugs. Der Ladeprozess lässt sich dabei mit vielfältigen Funktionen bequem über das eigene Smartphone steuern und überwachen. Die Innenausstattung!Wer mit der Familie verreist, braucht meistens auch reichlich Platz für Gepäck. Und den hält der neue Astra Sports Tourer Electric als ebenso komfortables wie praktisches Familienauto bereit. Mit umgeklappten Rücksitzen bietet der vollelektrische Kombi bis zu 1.553 Liter Ladevolumen. Selbst mit Passagieren in der zweiten Reihe lassen sich noch bis zu 516 Liter im Kofferraum verstauen. Für die Mitnahme von Skiern sorgt eine intelligente Durchlademöglichkeit in der hinteren Mittelarmlehne. Ebenfalls praktisch für den Aktivurlaub ist die beidseitig verwendbare Laderaumschale. The model rivals the likes of Kia's 576bhp EV6 GT, but costs a chunk more at £67,225.   - The GT pairs an 88kWh battery with an electric motor on each axle for a combined output of 459bhp.   - s more powerful than an actual Mustang GT, which produces 444bhp from its 5-litre V8   - Torque is rated at a more impressive 634lb ft of torque – for reference, that's 146lb ft more than the Tesla Model Y Performance, and more even than the most powerful road-legal Mustang ever, the Shelby GT500.   - 3.7sec is enough to cover the 0-62mph sprint, 1.4sec quicker than the ordinary Mach-E AWD. The cars come with a choice of two battery sizes, three power outputs and four trim levels, offering a maximum range of 316 miles from a single charge.   - Audi will give you a 55 kWh battery with 52 kWh of usable capacity, as well as the entry-level 35 e-tron powertrain. That produces 168 bhp, all of which is sent to the rear wheels. As a result, the car will manage 208 miles between trips to the plug, while the 0-62 mph sprint takes nine seconds flat.   - 40 e-tron powertrain is even more capable. With an 82 kWh battery (of which 77 kWh is usable) and a 201 bhp electric motor, this is the model that manages 316 miles to a charge. And because it's more powerful, the motor will get you from 0-62 mph in 8.5 seconds   - the 50 e-tron Quattro system. The electrified hatchback will be available to order from August, with the first UK deliveries scheduled for September. In the press release detailing the introduction of the new plug-in hybrid variant, Renault makes the following very interesting statement.    “At the same time, and in line with its electrification strategy for the Megane, Renault will remove petrol and diesel versions of the Hatch and Sports Tourer.”   - UK customers who want a Renault Megane can only have it as a plug-in hybrid, albeit available in two equipment levels. There's the Iconic E-Tech Plug-In Hybrid 160 Auto and the sporty R.S. The first deliveries to Nio's first European market Norway are already on the way.   - Nio has now received important certifications for later use in EU countries. The German certification agency TÜV Rheinland issued the European Conformity Certificate and TÜV MARK Approval Certificate to the ‘Power Swap Station', the DC ‘Power Charger' and the AC wallbox ‘Power Home'. This means that the devices may be sold and operated in all EU member states.   - Nio wants to operate more than 4,000 of the stations worldwide, including around 1,000 outside China.   - Meanwhile, rumours are growing that the next European market after Norway could be Germany – not only because the German car market is highly attractive for Chinese brands. Specifically, the company is looking for a “General Manager of Nio Germany” based in Munich. Instead, Harley has spun off its electric motorcycle division into its own brand, which is also called LiveWire.The LiveWire One looks a whole lot like the Harley-branded LiveWire we know and love, only it's got a new paint job and a new logo. As before, the bike offers up around 146 miles of range in urban riding and can be DC fast-charged from 0-100% in 60 minutes, making it pretty easy to live with.   - What it does seem to have revamped is the LiveWire One's pricing. The Insignia is Opel's flagship model and the first to be equipped with the latest-generation infotainment system. The big draw is a touchscreen up to 8 inches in size. We check out an Insignia with the top-of-the-line Multimedia Navi Pro system.

The new Mercedes-Benz B-Class puts the emphasis on sport with the Sports Tourer. It looks more dynamic than its predecessor and is more agile on the road while offering greater comfort. Its avant-garde interior makes for a unique feeling of space with the distinctive design of the instrument panel. One of the special features is a basic volume, which drops away towards the occupants and has cutouts in the area of the driver and front passenger.

Die Verwandtschaft mit seinem Brüdern Grand Sport und Sports Tourer kann der Opel Insignia Country Tourer nicht verleugnen, es gibt aber auch keinen Grund dafür, denn er punktet mit denselben Tugenden wie seine Brüder. Dazu komm aber sein Erscheinungsbild im Country-Style. Wir stellen Opels Flaggschiff im kernigen Offroad-Look heute mal näher vor. Darum geht es diesmal!Wie heißt es so schön? Aller guten Dinge sind drei. Nach den Opel-Top-Modellen Insignia Grand Sport und Insignia Sports Tourer kam vor einem guten Jahr der Dritte dazu, der Opel Insignia Country Tourer. Klar, dass wir uns den mal genauer anschauen. Das Outfit!Den neuen Insignia Country Tourer kann man optisch als Steigerung des Sports Tourer betrachten. Ein großer Grill und schmale Frontscheinwerfer strecken den Country Tourer optisch in die Breite. Dazu dokumentieren ein silbern glänzender Unterfahrschutz und die im gesamten unteren Fahrzeugbereich und um die Radhäuser verlaufende schwarze Schutzverkleidung, dass der Begriff „Country Tourer“ nicht von ungefähr kommt. Power und Drive!    Wie bei Opel seit langem üblich, gibt es Antriebs- und Fahrwerkstechnik vom Feinsten in großer Auswahl. In unserem Testfahrzeug waren der 2.0 BiTurbo Dieselmotor 154 kW (210 PS) mit Start/Stop-System, ein 8-Stufen-Automatikgetriebe und der Twinster-Allradantrieb mit Torque Vectoring eingebaut. Letzterer bringtdie Leistung absolut präzise und sicher auf die Straße. Apropos Leistung: Mit dieser Kombination aus Motorisierung, Getriebe und Allradantrieb ist man mit maximal 228 km/h unterwegs, Tempo 100 wird nach einem konsequenten Tritt aufs Gaspedal nach 8,2 Sekunden erreicht. Der nach Euro 6c eingestufte Wagen konsumiert nach dem seit dem 1. September 2018 vorgeschriebenen WLTP-Messverfahren – WLTP steht für Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedure – je nach Ausstattung zwischen 7,7 und 8,0 Litern Diesel auf 100 Kilometer Fahrstrecke. September 2018 als 2.0 Diesel 125 kW (170 PS) ab 36.650,00 Euro, die laut Preisliste aktuell teuerste Version ist der von uns getestete 2.0 BiTurbo Diesel mit  8-Stufen-Automatik und Allradantrieb für 42.825,00 Euro.  Das ist ein Preis, mit dem ich gut leben kann. Gerne würde ich auch noch über die zweite Generation des preisgekrönten adaptiven IntelliLux LED® Matrix-Lichts, die 360-Grad-Rundum-Kamera, oder den adaptiven Geschwindigkeitsregler ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) mit automatischer Gefahrenbremsung sprechen, aber das müssen wir aus Zeitgründen ein andermal tun. Das Kürzel GSi ist zurück – in Form des neuen Opel Insignia GSi. Erlkönigbilder zeigen, dass Opel bereits den Kombi testet. Sein Debüt gibt er auf der IAA 2017.

Früher hieß die Devise mal: „Leistung ist durch nichts zu übertreffen außer durch noch mehr Leistung!“ Was ja durchaus eine gewisse Logik hat und bei Automobilisten auch noch häufig in Fleisch und Blut ist. Heute ist dieser Satz etwas abgewandelt. „Leistung ist durch nichts zu übertreffen außer durch noch mehr Leistung bei weniger Verbrauch!“ Da hätte man früher gesagt: „Geht nicht!“ Heute wiederum lautet die Ansage: „Geht nicht, gibt’s nicht!“ Michael Weyland hat den Beweis auf vier Rädern!
