UK Cinema Chain Offers Free Movie Tickets for Redheads to Escape The Heatwave Today is shaping up to be the hottest day Britain has ever recorded, with a forecast of 104 degrees. One cinema chain is offering free admission to redheads. Showcase Cenimas Said: "Since redheads are often more vulnerable than most to the sun's rays, we're giving them shelter from the sun inside our fully air-conditioned cinema screens to catch the latest blockbusters for no cost at all!" reads a statement from Showcase Cinemas. (Research indeed suggests that redheads are at higher risk for skin cancer.) Las Vegas chapels are ordered to stop using Elvis Presley's likeness in themed weddings Authentic Brands Group, who controls the use of the likeness of Elvis Presley, has sent cease and desist letters to all 55 Las Vegas chapels, warning them that they are not allowed to use “Elvis Presley's name, likeness, voice image, and other elements of Elvis Presley's persona in advertisements, merchandise, and otherwise.” It's not yet known whether Authentic Brands Group will license the use of Elvis to these chapels. But as of now, NO ELVIS WEDDINGS. The move could drastically change the $2 billion Vegas wedding industry. Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker just tied the knot at a Las Vegas chapel in April with an Elvis impersonator. In 2020, Stranger Things David Harbour Married Actress Lilly Allen at the Graceland Wedding Chapel Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas said "I do" at the A Little White Wedding Chapel with Elvis. The letters have no impact on Elvis impersonators who perform outside of a Wedding ceremony, as Nevada's "right of publicity" statute protects Tribute Acts and Street Performers. There is nothing like finding treasure or discovering an ancient artifact that's been sitting in your kitchen for decades that's actually worth millions of dollars. The artifact in question here is an 18th-century Chinese vase marked with the symbol of the Qianlong emperor who ruled from 1735 to 1795. It just sold at auction for $1,505,868. It's a royal blue vase that is quite stunning with gold and silver streaks and cranes and bats painted on it. But to the UK family who doesn't really recall when it was purchased or where it came from, it was just ‘that thing' sitting in the family's kitchen since the 1980s. The vase had passed through two generations of the family after it was initially purchased at an antiques store in the 1980s. It remains a mystery how this vase made its way out of China. The American University in Washington, DC. said this ornate vase could've been a gift from the emperor to one of his officials that was then passed down through the generations then sold at an antiques store. Or It could be the product of the military plunder of 1860 or 1901, which would make its auction much more questionable. But that old thing sitting in the corner could be worth $1.5 Million dollars.
