This week, Flavilla is joined by Matt Gilpin.Matt Gilpin founded Sprift (which stands for: ‘Smarter Property Information Technology') in 2016, following the frustration of being unable to easily source the property data he required for his buy-to-let portfolio. He is driven by a desire to improve the quality of data available, and to create a smoother home buying and selling process.Following his first property investment in 1999, Matt bought and sold many properties in the years that followed. For each investment he would spend hours collating property information and data from a variety of sources. Although not from a tech background, he was sure there must be a way of aggregating all data and presenting it in one place, hence the idea for Sprift was born. Whilst completing his earn-out, Richard became a Senior Vice President at Kenexa and was responsible for their European and then their Asia-Pacific businesses.Richard Alberg is also a founder and director at Corndel Ltd, a fast-growth apprenticeship training provider with a blue-chip client base. Since founding the company in October 2016, Corndel has grown to over 200 staff and 3,500 apprentices.Richard is a shareholder and advisor to several businesses, including as a non-executive director of Protocol Holdings Ltd.
