It's story time! I'm a language trainer and mentor. I work with others to help them on their language journeys with English. But I'm also a learner with three languages at different stages of fluency. And that's really good because I also have the perspective of a learner. Not all of my clients have the same challenges as me – though many do! My solutions won't work for everyone! But there are things that I can share from my experiences of improving my language skills that will probably resonate with some of my listeners too.In this episode, I'm talking about an experience from my Portuguese class. My Portuguese level isn't at the same level as the English of mmost of my clients, but we're not talking about language level today. We're talking about the choices that we make when we don't feel sure. Sometimes they are choices to protect us and make us feel safe, but they can also dilute our message. My task was to describe three of my services in English and then to talk about the same three services in Portuguese. This is what happened and the feedback I received when we compared them. I'm not talking about aspects of the language, so you don't need to understand Portuguese to listen to this episode.Has anything similar happened to you? Are there occasions when you play it safe with your additional languages? What could the consequences of that be? The first step to fixing something that isn't serving us is recognising the patern or behaviour in the first place! And, as we were talking about my mentoring service, where we look at how you communicate, how you communicate in English, and how you can use your English voice to be more authentic and impactful, you can find all the details here: https://englishwithkirsty.com/discover-your-voice-in-english/Also, you can connect with me on LinkedIn here - https://www.linkedin.com/in/kirsty-danielle-wolf-a8478235/

The world is chaotic and people are tired. And when people are tired, they stop rewarding “safe.” They reward clear. In this Black History Month Series episode, I'm joined by Kristina Hall and we're talking about the problem too many Black business owners won't admit out loud: your business isn't stuck because you aren't working hard. It's stuck because your message is weak. If you're posting consistently, seeing other creators pop off, and sitting there thinking “do I need to be more controversial?” you're not crazy. But let's separate truth from coping: the algorithm doesn't “hate” you. The message just isn't landing. And in 2026, with AI making everybody sound the same, blending in is a death sentence. We get into the line between being bold and being messy. Bold is standing on what you believe and being able to back it up. Messy is rage-baiting for attention, copying hot takes, and building a brand that collapses the second a real client walks through the door.Kristina drops a clean framework we build in real time: Stand. Say. Sell. Stand on your business. Say it in plain English. Then sell your service like you're not ashamed to get paid. We also break down a real client example (Pilates School SF) where one bold, clear message brought in the right audience, globally. And we close with a Black History Month question that gets real fast: what Black history means when you're biracial, light-skinned, and still connected to the roots, the pride, and the pain.Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/8_Z3bf7EVEYAs always we ask you to comment, DM, whatever it takes to have a conversation to help you take the next step in your journey, reach out on any platform!Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedinDISCLOSURE: Awards and rankings by third parties are not indicative of future performance or client investment success. Together they break down what copywriting actually is, how website copy differs from “regular” writing, and why your site shouldn't read like an HR handbook. They walk through DayCloud's full website copy process—from discovery and brand voice, to wireframes, UX-minded content strategy, and collaboration between design and copy—and talk honestly about common mistakes businesses make when they DIY their words. You'll hear how empathy and embodiment drive good copy, how to think about SEO without turning your site into keyword soup, and why “integrity, honesty, professionalism” is not a brand personality. If you've ever wondered how agencies actually write websites (or what a ghostwriter does for a brand), this one's for you.

Leanne brings her copywriting background & deep understanding of AI together to talk about something every business owner needs to hear - how to maintain your brand voice in the age of AI-generated content. We dig into the reality of AI as a marketing tool, not a magic wand. Together, we unpack what happens when businesses sacrifice personality for productivity, why brand voice is the anchor that keeps your marketing genuine, and how to train AI tools like ChatGPT to actually sound like you. There's also a healthy dose of honesty in this chat - from the dangers of over-relying on automation, to why pumping out generic, lifeless content can quietly erode your brand. Leanne and I both share real stories from our own experiments with AI, what flopped, what worked, and why the human element always wins.If you've ever wondered how to balance the efficiency of AI with the authenticity of your brand, this episode will help you rethink your approach. Leanne offers practical ways to work with AI - from teaching it your tone, to using it as a brainstorming partner rather than a replacement for creativity.Key Takeaway: Rather than handing your marketing voice over to a machine, treat AI like a junior team member - someone who can help shape ideas, speed up the process, and spark creativity, but still needs guidance. Train it with examples of your work, correct it as you go, and let it learn from you. I had a conversation with jake Tlapek, aka the Wizard of Marketing, who's spent the last decade helping struggling brands become high-growth success stories using battle-tested SEO and creative problem-solving. Episode Recap: When most people think of marketing metrics, they zero in on traffic, leads, or social likes. But Jake makes the case for a bigger-picture indicator: Share of Brand Voice—a measure of how often your brand shows up compared to competitors. It's not a tidy little number you can find in a single report. Measuring it requires stitching together insights from a variety of sources. It's not a tidy little number you can find in a single report. Measuring it requires stitching together insights from a variety of sources. But if you're serious about building a visible, respected brand, this metric can't be ignored. We talked about why it matters more than ever in the era of AI search, and what you can start doing right now—even if you don't have access to fancy tools or a big team. Key Points: Share of Brand Voice is about visibility in your space: how often your brand is mentioned, cited, or seen versus your competitors. It's not easily measured in one place—you'll need to combine analytics, branded search volume, and SEO tools for a clearer picture. Tools like SparkToro and Search Atlas can help if you're ready to go deeper. Don't overlook your Google Search Console and branded keyword searches—they're a great place to start. AI Search is Changing the Game AI doesn't just answer one query. It generates dozens of variations before delivering results. To show up in AI overviews, your content should answer multiple versions of the same core question. Visibility in AI results depends on pattern recognition—the more your brand appears across the web, the more likely it is to be included in AI-generated answers. Actionable Takeaways for Women Business Owners: Start by tracking branded searches in Google Search Console. If no one is looking for you by name, it's time to build awareness. Answer variations of your most-asked questions across your blog, website, and social platforms. Repetition is your friend. Get featured elsewhere. Guest blogs, podcast interviews, and external mentions help create brand signals AI can detect. Create short-form video content. Every video gets transcribed and indexed—boosting both search and AI visibility. Don't just post—get credited. Whether you're guesting on a podcast or writing for another site, make sure your name and brand are clearly attached. Jake Tlapek Jake, often called the  Wizard of Marketing has spent the last decade turning struggling brands into high-growth businesses using no-fluff strategy, battle-tested SEO, and a heavy dose of creative problem-solving. From WordPress to PPC, content to conversion, he  break down the complex so business owners can actually win online.

In this episode, I'm diving deep into how you can use artificial intelligence strategically in your veterinary marketing. AI is changing the game for practices everywhere, but I want to make sure you're not just using it to crank out generic content. Instead, I'll show you how to treat AI like a junior marketing employee — someone who needs your guidance, your brand's unique voice, and a clear strategy to really make an impact. We'll talk about why it's so important to lead with strategy before you ever open up an AI tool, and I'll share my favorite platforms and integrations that can save you time and help you get better results. Throughout the episode, I'll walk you through five high-impact ways to use AI in your practice, from brainstorming content ideas and drafting posts, to repurposing your best material, doing quick research, and even creating custom images. I'll give you practical frameworks for crafting effective AI prompts, so you get content that actually sounds like you and resonates with your clients. Plus, I'll highlight some of the most common mistakes I see practices making with AI like relying on it for strategy or publishing unedited, off-brand content and show you how to avoid them. By the end of this episode, you'll have a clear roadmap for using AI as a force multiplier in your marketing, not just a shortcut. I'll challenge you to put these ideas into action right away by drafting and sending out a newsletter with AI's help then tracking your results and refining your approach. If you're ready to stand out in an AI-driven world and grow your practice with smarter, more authentic marketing, this episode is for you!
