We had the pleasure of interviewing The Warning over Zoom video! The rock sister-trio from Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning, proudly present their much-anticipated new full-length album, Keep Me Fed [LAVA/Republic Records], out now! Listen HERE. Physical products are available at RepublicRecords.com, featuring CDs, vinyl, t-shirts, and fan packs [CD/t-shirt or vinyl/t-shirt]. Today the band also unveiled their new music video for “Six Feet Deep,” which made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and across MTV's global network of channels, as well as on the Paramount Times Square billboards. About the record, the band commented, “This new album is the result of our rawest emotions and most meaningful connections with people we've gotten to know and work with these past few years. We're incredibly proud of this music and we can't wait for you to make it yours. From our hearts to you, this is Keep Me Fed.”Keep Me Fed finds the group at the peak of their powers. Over the course of thirteen tracks, the album balances stadium-size hooks with airtight riffing and thunderous rhythms. In talking about the story behind the decision to name the album Keep Me Fed, “throughout the whole process, the work was consuming us,” says Pau. “By impacting everything we did, the album kept us fed both creatively and personally. We're inviting other people to participate and consume it too.”Pre-release singles featured “MORE” (performed at the 2023 MTV VMAs [Watch HERE]), “S!CK” which climbed to Top 8 at Active Rock and #8 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart, music videos for “Burnout” & Spanish track “Qué Más Quieres” premered with MTV, as well as “Hell You Call A Dream” and “Automatic Sun” which are already fan favorites to hear live.  Revolver applauded, “Like the Mexican sister-trio's previous output, it's undeniably infectious,” and Classic Rock hailed it as a “shot-in-the-arm of propulsive, fire-spitting hard rock.” Rolling Stone pegged it as one of “All The Songs You Need To Know This Week.” The trio will embark on the ‘Keep Me Fed' US headline tour this September & October, making stops in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, and more, before joining Evanescence and Halestorm on tour in Canada. Check out the full confirmed itinerary below. Fans can purchase tickets here: https://thewarningband.comThus far in 2024, The Warning performed at ShipRocked in the Caribbean, Mexico's prestigious Pa'l Norte & Vive Latino Festivals, sold-out their April EU/UK headline tour, just wrapped their first headlining tour of Japan that included a show with Band-Maid, and will return overseas to EU/UK for summer festivals. Looking ahead to 2025, the band sold-out the 10k capacity Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City in less than 48 hours. The Warning are as hungry as ever on Keep Me Fed, and they're about to sink their teeth into 2024. Catch them on tour in the US this fall.ABOUT THE WARNING:The Warning draw strength and power from a lifetime of sisterhood and music. The Mexico-born sister trio—Daniela “Dany” [guitar, lead vocals, piano], Paulina “Pau” [drums, vocals, piano], and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal [bass, piano, backing vocals]—have logged thousands of miles on the road, generated hundreds of millions of streams, and left countless fans in awe. All of this tireless work and dedication has shaped and sharpened their sound with knifepoint precision, arming alternative anthems with universally catchy hooks and an uncompromising hard rock kick. The girls have devoted themselves to a shared dream since their childhood in Monterrey, Mexico. They initially made waves with a string of independent releases, paving the way for their acclaimed 2022 full-length offering ERROR. Between performing alongside Muse, Foo Fighters, Guns N' Roses, Royal Blood, The Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace and Imagine Dragons, the band ignited MTV's Extended Play Stage at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Representative of their cultural impact, Pepsi even notably chose them as the face of Pepsi Black in Mexico. Moreover, they emerged as the rare force who could comfortably appear in features by Vanity Fair, People, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour as well as on Metallica's star-studded Blacklist compilation—placing their cover of “Enter Sandman” [with Alessia Cara] shoulder-to-shoulder with contributions from Ghost, St. Vincent, Chris Stapleton, IDLES and Weezer. The Warning embrace their destiny on their 2024 full-length album, Keep Me Fed [LAVA/Republic Records] out now. The album was introduced by singles  “MORE,” “S!CK” “Hell You Call A Dream”, “Qué Más Quieres”,  “Automatic Sun”, and “Burnout”.We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Sleep Theory over Zoom video!Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — have shared the video for "Fallout" from their Paper Hearts EP, out now via the Epitaph Records. Get the EP, which has been streamed over 33 million times. The video features intense performance footage colliding with equally intense apocalyptic imagery, both of which fit the urgency of the song. It's a continuation of the end-of-the-world theme seen in the video for "Numb.""Creating 'Fallout' was a very personal for us, and seeing the music video come to life was surreal," the band states. "The emotion in the track is something we poured our hearts into, and we're thrilled that it resonates so powerfully with our fans. [Director] Orie [McGuiness] took our vision and elevated it beyond expectations. The way the music video captures the essence of the song is amazing. We truly couldn't have asked for a better visual representation for this song."Sleep Theory will hit the road on a 40-date trek with Beartooth, The Plot In You, and Invent Animate in Winter 2024. Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength — and they show no signs of slowing down. The Paper Hearts EP features two buzzy singles — "Numb" and "Gone or Staying" — and the songs have established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about artists of 2023. The band was praised by Loudwire for its ability to "adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, SleepTheory's supercharged single 'Numb' is everything a radio rock fan could want. You'll be humming it for days after."With further press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, Punktastic, and beyond, as well as major nods from SiriusXM's Octane, Sleep Theory have had a huge 2023 and are clearly gearing up for an even bigger 2024.In just the past three months, Sleep Theory's monthly listeners have more than doubled, while their YouTube channel views have tripled. They are averaging 1.5 million streams per week, while "Numb" is sitting at No. 16 on the Active Rock chart and continues to climb. The track was No. 1 on on Sirius XM Octane, while the band was the first rock artist included in SiriusXM/Pandora's Artist Accelerator program and will be a part of the Next Wave Concert Series this month. They've toured with everyone from Shinedown to Set It Off, shared stages with I Prevail and Badflower, and have appeared at Louder Than Life, Rock Fest, ShipRockled, and Point Fest. They also count Jellyroll and Disturbed David Draiman as fans.We want to hear from you! Scott Bartlett is best known as the lead guitarist for Southern Rock group Saving Abel (“Addicted”, “18 Days”) but has been creating music under his own brand for years as well.  Bartlett's original music has been described as “decidedly southern rock” influenced heavily by his favorite group, The Allman Brothers Band. He says, “I'm a singer-songwriter that writes from experience, but to me it can all be categorized as rock n' roll. That's because of the way I play guitar.” In 2014 he released his first EP as a solo artist followed by multiple independent releases as well as several tracks as part of a duo dubbed, “Mad Souls.” His current single, “Sweeter Than Whiskey”, was released in March and is quickly proving to be a fan favorite. Always looking for growth and expansion opportunities, he recently purchased Young Avenue Sound, a first of its kind recording studio in Memphis.   While touring with Saving Abel keeps his calendar full in addition to his independent touring, he has grown and diversified his personal brand by creating and promoting his own custom clothing line under the umbrella of The SB Creations. Formed in 1999, Earshot signed to Warner Bros. in 2001 after the label heard their blend of moody melodic metal and entered the studio with producer David Kahne. After the recording session, the record was polished up by mixer Andy Wallace and released in the summer of 2002 as LETTING GO. The album yielded their first hit single reaching #4 on U.S. Active Rock radio charts and stayed in the top 100 for over 64 weeks. The albums lead off track appeared on the soundtrack alongside other artists. In 2003, Earshot returned to the studio to begin work on their second album, (produced by Johnny K. and mixed by Rich Costey), released in 2004 on Warner Bros. Records. Their breakout single ‘Wait' reached #9 on U.S. Active Rock radio charts while also being featured on the hugely successful Madden NFL 2005 and MX vs. ATV Unleashed video game soundtracks. https://open.spotify.com/artist/6eeYh... The MESSER Machine is fired up once again with another positive energy-driven song, “Hope In This World.” “Hope In This World” is the newest creation from this modern rock power house known for their catchy hooks and high energy live performances. With 3 top 25 active rock singles, MESSER is poised to raise the bar even higher. Re-energized and focused, MESSER is ready to deliver an experience that goes beyond the music. "Our new single was born out of the pandemic. We couldn't just sit here and do nothing. We have a platform and we are compelled to use it for good" says the band. They continue, "One of the most powerful things you can give someone is hope. We live in a world more divided than ever, making it hard to see a way for us to find a place of peace and harmony.'Hope In This World' is a song about bridging the gap between us that seems to be growing every day. The core message of this song is helping people find hope despite the negativity. It's easy to get trapped in boxes of belief and confusion. This song is about the lifeline we cling to for change, the light at the end of the tunnel." Be a part of the Machine and help us find some Hope In This World. Messer continued their momentum from their breakout year with the release of "Simple Man", the 3rd single and video from their self-titled debut album, which bowed at #3 on the Soundscan New Artist chart and was named "New and Noteworthy" at iTunes and Amazon Music. The Dallas, Texas based band had a banner year in 2018 with first single “Make This Life” reaching #25 on the Active Rock radio charts, and second single "Save Myself" also made it into the Top 30 - the only truly independent act to do so. "Simple Man" peaked at #23 on the Active Rock charts, and is the highest charting single for the band to date. It garnered attention throughout the rock world with spots on key Hard Rock playlists @ Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora Radio, Google Play Music, Youtube and Slacker Radio. The band has received accolades @ Loudwire, AXS, Alternative Press, Revolver, New Noise, Pure Grain Audio, and more. The band was relentless touring hard in 2019, opening for Pop Evil, Scott Stapp, and headlining their own tour. Messer played more than 250 shows in 2019, including a 40-city sold out tour with RED and Lacey Sturm. The band was personally invited by Kevin Lyman to play the Texas leg of the final Vans Warped Tour. The band's cutting-edge modern rock sound was born through serendipitous connections in the thriving Deep Ellum music scene of Dallas, an area that has given rise to iconic Hard Rock and Metal bands like Pantera, Drowning Pool, Hell Yeah, and King's X. The band grew their fan base locally, and began to branch out regionally and nationally, opening for notable bands such as Sick Puppies, Candlebox, Hinder, Vince Neil, Black Stone Cherry, Drowning Pool, Metallica, Scott Stapp Of Creed, and Avenged Sevenfold, among others. It was on one of these tours that the band caught the attention of Los Angeles based writer/producer, Chad Gendason. The band felt an immediate camaraderie with Chad and a lasting bond was made. Messer started writing with Chad, and their first collaboration became "Simple Man". Fan favorite "Whiskey" soon followed and the songs started to flow into what would become their self-titled debut album "Messer". The album was mixed by Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed) and mastered by Tom Baker (Papa Roach, David Bowie, Motley Crue).

Together with American Songwriter, we had the pleasure of interviewing Earshot over Zoom video!  Billboard-topping hard rockers Earshot, who are best known for such hits as “Get Away,” “Headstrong,” and “Wait,” have come out swinging for 2021 as they unveil their first original song in five years and reveal details for their forthcoming collection of new material. “Been A Long Time” was released on all DSPs in January and was added to Active and Mainstream Rock Radio 1/19. The brazen, hook-laden new single, which Guitarist Aaron Fink describes as “a melodic, hard-rocking song with dark undertones and smart lyrics,” is about the isolation that everyone has been feeling this year. Ironically, the track itself was written and recorded remotely, with band members quarantining in their homes on separate coasts. Earshot’s new collection of material is slated to be released throughout 2021 as a series of singles and will mark the group’s first original music since their 2015 independently-released EP Aftermath. Prior to that, their first two albums featured songs charting in the Billboard Top 200 with their debut single “Get Away” reaching #4 on the U.S. Active Rock radio charts and staying in the top 100 for over 64 weeks. However, since 2015, several of the band members (which also comprise Guitarist Andy Stafford, Bassist John Novak and Drummer Mike Sylvia) have been busy working on solo and/or other projects including Martin who recently sang lead vocals on George Lynch and Jeff Pilson’s cover of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World” on the Heavy Hitters album. Fink, who is the former lead guitarist for Breaking Benjamin and Lifer, joined Earshot in 2020. We want to hear from you! Mistress Carrie spent 22 years on air and a handful more working in promotions at WAAF. She spent most of her life before that listening and loving the station. She figured one day it would all end with her "moving on" as many in the business do. But what she and many did not expect was for its parent company to sell the frequency to K-Love for ten million dollars; something that also happened to the Sound in Los Angeles. On February 20, WAAF ceased to exist, leaving Boston without the Active Rock station that gave birth to bands like Godsmack, and built hits like Shinedown's cover of Simple Man. (If you think we are making this up, the clip is in the podcast)In this episode, we cover Carrie's early days at the station and how WAAF went from being a Worcester station to a Boston mainstay. Some of it had to do with people migrating to the suburbs, but it doesn't hurt that the station built relationships with artists, sports figures and actors. We discussed the loss of the station and how it has left a hole in the heart of her and the WAAF listeners. Its Episode 41 of The Podcasting Couch! My guest this week Joshua Shea, author of The Addiction Nobody Will Talk About, a book recounting the authors life and long time struggles with pornography and alcohol. The book tells of his spiral into an eventual arrest on a charge of underage pornography possession in 2014. Bothered at the lack of quality resources and open discussion around the topic of pornography addiction, Shea is now sharing with the public his experience with the addiction in the hope he can help people to not head down the same road that he did. Shea recounts the last several years of his life leading up to his legal trouble and how his poor judgment and bad decision making led to a life he never thought was possible. This week we discussed coping with addiction, finding a publisher for a taboo topic, and navigating the world after being aressted. Music this week is provided by Message From Sylvia, the song is called Never Want To See You Again. In order to progress in life – and music – change is inevitable. The inexorable forces of change are what brought the members of Message From Sylvia together. With former bandmates leaving to start families or moving on to other projects – change happened with a simple phone call and fate began to run its course in the Summer of 2016. That phone call, facilitated by Nashville based Artist manager Erik Baker – connected the Lopez-Smith Brothers (Dane, Isaac, and Zachary) – formerly of First Decree – with vocalist Matthew Nevitt from Echovalve & DoryDrive. Though they hail from disparate backgrounds, the members of Message From Sylvia found an immediate chemistry working together. That chemistry is already producing a combustible mix of explosive energy with the heavy yet melodic first single “Heart Of War”, which broke into the Top 30 @ Active Rock radio. Their second single “Right Here and Now” and upcoming album were Produced by Sahaj Ticotin (Ra). “Right Here And Now” is quickly climbing the charts @ Active Rock radio nationwide. Frontman Nevitt says: “We are truly humbled to have worked with someone Like Sahaj. I really feel he bled into this song and our new album just as much as any one of us!” Joshua Shea can be found at Website The Addiction Nobody Will Talk About Message From Sylvia can be found at iTunes Facebook Spotify YouTube Instagram Cover Art by Gustas Brazaitis on Unsplash Be Decent This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
