Send us a textHave you ever felt that persistent emptiness inside—the void that no amount of success, money, or relationships seems to fill? You're not alone, and the answer might lie in reconnecting with your inner child. In this profound conversation with Shubhangi Shukla, a women's empowerment coach from India, we explore how emotional disconnection can happen in any childhood, even materially comfortable ones. She shares her personal journey from trying to fill her void through external achievements to discovering that true healing comes from within.Discover the three unmistakable signs that your inner child needs attention: not knowing your authentic self, becoming emotionally overwhelmed when triggered, and losing connection with your creative, playful nature. We discuss how these wounds create what Shubhangi calls an "avoidance void"—where we stack protective layers around our pain rather than processing it.The most transformative insight? Understanding that healing is never a destination but an ongoing journey. As Shubhangi explains, "Rather than seeing it as personal development, if we see it as personal developing, I think it's a beautiful shift in awareness." Just as we wouldn't expect physical fitness after three months of exercise followed by abandoning healthy habits, our emotional wellbeing requires consistent nurturing. We also venture into the realm of intuition and psychic abilities—gifts Shubhangi believes we all possess but often suppress. Through vulnerable sharing and practical wisdom, this episode provides a roadmap for breaking free from avoidance patterns and embracing radical self-love.Whether you're beginning your healing journey or seeking deeper understanding of your emotional patterns, this conversation offers the compassionate guidance you need to face your shadows with love. As Shubhangi reminds us in her closing message: "When love ceases to exist, you cease to exist. So take step forwards with love."Instagram: http://instagram.com/shubhangicoach/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shubhangicoach/ Website: http://shubhangishukla.kit.comMota MagickMOTA Magick is soulful, high-vibe CBD skincare made by women, for women. Send us a textWe've made progress talking about mental health, but why does your voice still shake when you admit "I'm not okay"? Why do we hesitate to reach out for help? Today, we're getting loud about what keeps us silent.Half of us will face mental health challenges, yet a third suffer alone because of shame. This episode unpacks how our upbringing literally rewired our brains to suppress emotions. Remember hearing "stop crying before I give you something to cry about"? That childhood conditioning creates adult anxiety around vulnerability. A 2015 study shows this isn't just emotional—it's neurological.I share my own childhood panic attacks that were dismissed as "being dramatic," revealing how toxic positivity and the false association between mental health struggles and weakness keep us isolated. The research is clear: avoiding uncomfortable emotions directly contributes to psychological distress. But this isn't just venting—it's about reclaiming your power through actionable, science-backed strategies. Learn how naming your emotions aloud calms your brain's fear center (UCLA research confirms this works). Discover why finding just one safe person for honest conversations matters more than money for long-term happiness (Harvard's longest study proves it). I'll guide you through building a daily emotional check-in habit that research shows reduces depression symptoms over time.Your healing journey doesn't have to be solo. Send us a textWhat if divorce could be positive? What if unconventional choices could save your family? Allie Casazza shatters expectations in this raw, emotional conversation that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about relationships.Allie opens up about how she went from a religious upbringing and young marriage at 20 to building a thriving online empire that began with simple decluttering tips on a mommy blog. Her viral success in 2016 launched her into the spotlight, but it's her approach to personal evolution that truly captivates. Now certified in neurolinguistic programming, emotional freedom technique, and hypnotherapy, she helps women break free from subconscious limitations. The heart of this episode explores Allie's revolutionary approach to divorce and co-parenting. She and her ex-husband maintain a beautiful relationship where he still works in her business, makes dinner for the family, and gives her pep talks when needed. Their story challenges the belief that divorce must be contentious, revealing how two people can "graduate" to a different version of partnership that serves them better. This conversation goes deep into the struggles of blended families, the importance of prioritizing children's mental health, and the courage to make unconventional choices when traditional paths aren't working. Allie shares how turning 35 marked her transformation into becoming "unfuckwithable" – finally embracing her authentic self after years of hiding books from visiting parents and maintaining a vanilla persona to please others.Whether you're questioning your relationship, navigating co-parenting, or simply trying to live more authentically, Allie's wisdom offers a refreshing perspective: "You get to decide. You get to write your own story." Her parting advice? The relationships most showcased on social media are often the emptiest – true connection thrives in privacy and genuine care.Visit www.AllieCasazza.com to discover how you can make your life lighter in every way or connect with her on Instagram @allie_thatsme. Send us a textReady for some unfiltered truth about self-love? Forget the Instagram-worthy bubble baths and calming candles—this episode tears down the facade of performative self-care to reveal what loving yourself actually requires.Self-love isn't a vibe or an aesthetic—it's a practice built on radical honesty and keeping promises to yourself. When you post about "boundaries" but still answer texts from people who drain you, when you claim to deserve better but continue settling, you're not practicing self-love—you're lying to yourself.True self-respect requires four essential elements: radical honesty about your habits and choices, keeping your word to yourself (because if you don't trust you, why should anyone else?), knowing when to walk away even from people you love, and creating internal safety rather than seeking validation from outside sources. These aren't comfortable practices, but they build the foundation for genuine confidence. The episode provides practical habits you can implement immediately, including making a daily non-negotiable list (pick just one promise and keep it), speaking to yourself with respect, doing something inconvenient that honors your future self, and tracking the gap between what you want versus what you tolerate. Self-love isn't built on dopamine hits—it's forged in moments of discomfort and difficult choices.Your new mantra? "I am no longer abandoning myself just to make other people comfortable. I trust myself to keep my word. I will stop shrinking into smaller spaces that I've outgrown." Because genuine self-love isn't soft—it's fierce, and it's about choosing yourself over and over until it becomes second nature. Ready to stop abandoning yourself? This episode shows you how. Send us a textWhen Susie Hewson watched a TV program about chlorine bleaching in paper products in 1989, she never imagined it would launch a 35-year journey revolutionizing feminine hygiene. As founder of Nature Care, Susie transformed an industry by creating certified organic, compostable period products free from toxins and plastics at a time when women entrepreneurs faced extraordinary barriers. The environmental impact is striking—Nature Care customers prevent plastic equivalent to a blue whale from entering marine environments annually just by choosing sustainable products. But Susie's fight extended beyond creating alternatives; she faced corporate lawyers attempting to silence her advocacy and banks refusing loans to women entrepreneurs. Through persistence and unwavering integrity, she built a company embodying her personal values while educating consumers about hidden dangers in conventional products.Particularly alarming is Susie's revelation about regulatory oversight—agencies like the FDA don't conduct independent research but rely on industry-provided data to determine product safety. This explains why harmful ingredients remain on shelves for decades before being recognized as dangerous. She urges consumers to look beyond marketing claims for legitimate certifications like the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), warning specifically about "bamboo" products that undergo toxic processing despite eco-friendly marketing. At 72, Susie embodies the benefits of conscious living with "the cardiovascular system of a 35-year-old." Her journey demonstrates how one person's determination can create lasting change, not just in an industry but in how we approach our health and environmental impact. Through Nature Care's "Be Kind" project and commitment to donating 1% of turnover to environmental causes, she reminds us that meaningful impact often starts with simple, thoughtful choices.Ready to make healthier choices for yourself and the planet? Send us a textWhat happens when life forces you to take a hard look at what really matters? Sometimes it takes an extreme situation to push you toward an authentic path. After watching my daughter become the target of cruel bullying about her late father, I made the decision many parents dream of but few execute - pulling her from school to create a life on our own terms. Combined with my recent bipolar diagnosis, this wake-up call inspired the purchase of a camper and a journey to the beautiful Ozarks that would change our perspective on what life could be.My coaching philosophy of "getting paid to exist" comes to life through stories from the road. It's not about passive income or trendy hustle culture - it's about aligning your income with activities you would do regardless of financial compensation. Throughout this raw conversation, I share how capturing authentic content for clients (like documenting a beautiful Reiki session between my client and my daughter) represents the antidote to the overly curated social media landscape we're drowning in.The episode culminates with my exciting announcement: joining She Heals the World as their newest business coach, a globally recognized organization with 15 years in the coaching industry. This opportunity validates my unconventional approach and opens doors to help more women build businesses aligned with their authentic selves. If you're tired of curated content and craving authenticity in your life and business, this episode offers both inspiration and practical insights. Send us a textWhat happens when we approach our emotional wounds with genuine curiosity instead of judgment? In this soul-stirring conversation with licensed therapist Ruth Tessema, we journey through the landscape of complex trauma and discover powerful paths toward healing and transformation.Ruth, a trauma specialist whose work blends traditional therapy with holistic approaches like somatic healing and breathwork, shares profound insights about how our bodies store memories that our minds have forgotten. When Ruth reveals that her own work in school settings triggered her nervous system without her conscious awareness, we witness the mysterious ways trauma operates beneath the surface of our daily lives. The conversation takes a deeply personal turn as we explore morning anxiety, vivid dreams, and physical symptoms of CPTSD. Ruth explains how the body's fight-or-flight responses continue long after traumatic experiences end, creating patterns that feel impossible to escape. Yet within this challenge lies remarkable hope—our neurological systems can be rewired through compassionate attention and consistent safety-building practices.Perhaps most revealing is our exploration of blended family dynamics and how they can activate our deepest childhood wounds. When stepchildren trigger unexpected jealousy or resentment, it's often our own inner child crying out for nurturing. The breakthrough comes in recognizing these moments as opportunities for healing rather than sources of shame."What's familiar about this situation?" emerges as the golden question—a doorway into understanding our triggers through the lens of compassionate curiosity. By embracing both gentleness and firm boundaries with ourselves, we can parent the wounded parts that still live within us.If you've ever felt overwhelmed by emotional responses that seem disproportionate, struggled with anxiety that hijacks your mornings, or found yourself reacting to loved ones in ways you don't understand, this conversation offers not just insight but a roadmap for transformation. Your capacity for healing isn't just possible—it's already wired within you, waiting to be awakened.Follow Ruth on Instagram HERE. Send us a textBirthday reflections hit differently when you're staring down 36 years of life experiences, complete with all the messy, beautiful, and sometimes downright painful moments that shape who we become. My journey has been anything but straightforward. I've navigated divorce, blended family dynamics, pregnancy loss, and the death of my daughter's father—all while battling anxiety, CPTSD, and coming to terms with being neurodivergent. The constant struggle between wanting acceptance and needing to be authentically myself has finally reached a tipping point where I'm choosing the latter, even when it's uncomfortable.Through the chaos, I've somehow managed to create a podcast, meet fascinating people from Olympians to professional fighters, write a book, buy a camper, and raise amazing children. These achievements didn't happen because life was perfect—they happened despite life being imperfect. That's what I want you to take away from this episode: you're still here, still fighting, still creating, and that alone makes you a warrior. As I enter this new year of life, I'm setting my sights on performing stand-up comedy, finishing my memoir, recording music, and traveling in our camper while homeschooling the kids. It's a tall order, but if there's anything these 36 years have taught me, it's that life is just a set of experiences—and I'm determined to make each one count.Join me in this raw, unfiltered birthday reflection where I peel back the layers of social media perfection to show you the real, sometimes struggling, but always determined person behind the microphone. Send us a message here. What if your life purpose isn't just one single destination, but rather the entire journey and all its unexpected twists? After finally reading The Alchemist—a book my estranged father gave me nearly two decades ago—I've had a profound realization about what it means to discover and pursue your "personal legend."Most of us put immense pressure on ourselves to identify that one perfect calling or purpose. But what I'm learning is that our personal legends evolve and shift throughout our lives. Every role I've ever played—from housekeeper to musician to coach to podcast host—has been a crucial chapter in my story, teaching me skills I couldn't have learned any other way.The synchronicity can be mind-blowing when you commit to your personal legend. Just days after deciding to return to music after years away, my original drummer—someone I hadn't seen in years—unexpectedly reappeared in my life. These aren't coincidences; they're confirmation that everything truly is "written by the same hand."When you declare that you want a big, abundant life, understand that this requires making space—and sometimes that means things will fall apart first. These moments feel like tests, and how you respond to them shapes your journey. Will you pass the test? Will you trust the process even when it's uncomfortable?Your personal legend might not be one single thing but rather a beautiful tapestry of all your gifts, passions, and experiences. Don't limit yourself to one lane or identity when you have multiple forms of expression within you. Life is too short for regret and wondering "what if." Raise your hand, ask the question, try the thing—and trust that it's all working out for you, even when it doesn't feel like it in the moment. What's your personal legend calling you to do? I haven't shared much of my story so here goes nothing. My childhood was nothing to write home about.PS. This is me sharing my truth, not shifting blame, & certainly not putting anyone down. I love my mama very much. She knows that. ♥️But moving on. I saw, heard, & was exposed to things children should never be exposed to. Domestic violence, drug addiction, alcoholism, emotional, mental, & verbal abuse were the norm.I thought things would get better when we left my dad (who abused my mother physically & in every other way imaginable, brought home what appeared to be teenage girls, disappeared for months at a time while Mom was left to figure out how to feed us & not be evicted) but it was only the beginning to another nightmare.A scorned woman is a force to be reckoned with. And with hurt comes healing, or suppressing it until it changes you to the core.I don't blame anyone in my life for the trauma I haven't recouped from. I like to believe they did the best with the resources they had.But it doesn't erase the neglect endured while being left alone with up to 5 kids at a time.It doesn't erase the self-destructive coping mechanisms I developed to feel anything other than like a disappointment to everyone around me.I am who I am due to my fucked up past.I'd like to think I'm better for it.Although it took me a while to realize I had to quit running from myself & the shadows inside me, I'm glad I came to the realization when I did.Had I not, I'd either be dead in a ditch or on an entirely different path. I wouldn't have met my current husband, I wouldn't have gotten the chance to bring another life into this world who completes our little big family more than he will ever know. I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to share my stories & shortcomings to help the countless people I've helped.Whoever you are, wherever you are, remember — you did not come this far to only come this far. You're a force to be reckoned with. The fact that you're still here proves how fucking strong you truly are.Welcome to my world. Welcome to my energy. Welcome to your Spiritual Support System. You are so loved already. ♥️2024 Spiritual Support System Wait List:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1yIaRLDQgdVdsNbrbT9qg9zxBsalNHY5tu1CwD_h3-lo/editEnroll to SHIFT here: https://buy.stripe.com/00gg1z2nLbT8bWo5l6WEBSITE:www.spiritualsupportsystem.comJWTS & JACQUELYNN:https://www.instagram.com/justwomentalkingshit/https://www.instagram.com/spiritualsupportsystem/Send Jacquelynn a friend request or follow her on Facebook at >> https://www.facebook.com/thejacquelynncottenSupport the showSupport the show
