People ask me all the time if they need to log their food using an app like myfitnesspal?I usually answer sort of sarcastically by saying I don't advise my clients to do something that I wouldn't do.But in all seriousness, logging and tracking food is not fun.  It's time consuming, tedious and often we underestimate the volume/portion size we eat.  Or we only track/log our food on days we know we ate healthy.  So for most people it doesn't provide a good snapshot of what we really eat in a day.Secondly, when you tell yourself to track, how long does it really last? You end up telling yourself you'll track your food, then quit, then feel guilty about itIt's just another diet culture tactic that sucks us into that diet cycle, ultimately leaving us feeling guilty when we don't maintain the routine long term.  Ultimately, tracking is about calorie counting and in this week's podcast episode I describe why this is an unhelpful habit.

[00:00:00] Welcome back to Steph's Business Bookshelf. And this week's episode; the book Think Like a Rocket Scientist by Ozan Varol. Keep listening to find out why you need to fail more successfully.   Welcome back. I'm your host, Steph Clarke. And as usual, every week. I'll be sharing with you the three big ideas from the best nonfiction books that I've been reading and doing the reading so you don't have to. This week is the book think like a rocket scientist, and I'm going to be sharing with you the three big ideas from this book. It's pretty cold, rainy weekend here in Naarm/Melbourne. So it's a good weekend to be curled up with the book and recording some podcasts and of course drinking some tea. If you're doing something similar this weekend, and maybe even looking at buying some new books, I'd love for you to head over to one of my affiliate stores with Bookshop or Book Depository, depending on which country you're in, to stock up on some new books. It's a great way of [00:01:00] filling up your bookshelves and supporting the podcast at the same time, the links are in the show notes, so you can bookmark those ready for when you are next, stocking up your bookshelf. All right. Let's get into this week's book. Think like a rocket scientist, a little bit about the book. If you haven't heard of it. In this book, a former rocket scientist reveals the habits, ideas, and strategies that will empower you to turn the seemingly impossible into the possible. But fortunately you don't have to be a rocket scientist in order to think like one. In this accessible and practical book, Ozan Varol reveals, nine simple strategies from rocket science that you can use to make your own giant leaps in work and life. Whether it's landing your dream job, accelerating your business, learning a new skill or creating the next breakthrough product. Today thinking like a rocket scientist is a necessity. We all encounter complex and unfamiliar problems in our lives. And those who can tackle these problems without clear guidelines and with the clock ticking, enjoy an extraordinary advantage. Think like a rocket scientist will inspire you to take your [00:02:00] own moonshot and enable you to achieve liftoff. Yes, there we go. There was plenty of rocket related puns in that. A little about wasn't that. And that's taken from Ozan's website; ozanvarol.com. There is a link to that in the show notes. One of the things I found particularly helpful on his website is there are some resources that help to summarize the book and the various chapters. So head over there, if you'd like more information.  Now a little bit about the author. Ozan Varol is a rocket scientist, turned award-winning professor and author. A native of Istanbul, Turkey Ozan grew up in a family of no English speakers, he learned English as a second language and moved to the United States by himself at 17 to attend Cornell university and major in astrophysics. Whilst he was there, he served on the operations team for the 2003 Mars exploration rovers project that sent two rovers, spirit and opportunity, to Mars. He built stuff that then went on to the red planet and wrote code that snaps photos of the Martian surface. He then [00:03:00] pivoted and went to law school. He graduated first in his class, earning the highest grade point average in his law school's history. He's been called a true original by Adam Grant and dubbed a superhero by Daniel Pink. His work has been described as must read by Susan Cain and featured in the Wall Street Journal Time, BBC, CNN, Washington Post, and more.  And again that was taken from ozanvarol.com. Link is in the show notes.  Alright, let's get into it. The three big ideas I took from the book, think like a rocket scientist by Ozan Varol. Big idea number one is embrace uncertainty. It probably goes without  saying, but there is little point trying to do or create something new if you can't take a little bit of uncertainty. He says in the book that "where certainty ends progress begins". I think that's a great quote. Writing down some of your fears, your uncertainties and the negative outcomes you might think could happen. Doing a bit of a pre-mortem can really help take the edge off of these uncertainties or the things you're worried about. And it also helps you prioritize them. And he talks about [00:04:00] going through this process in various projects that he has worked on. It also allows you to build in the margins of safety and the redundancies to mitigate some of the risks. And even sometimes to realize that maybe  some of them aren't so bad because the results of those things going wrong might not be the end of the world. This extends also into the practice of 'test as you fly and fly as you test', because sometimes it's only through doing, testing and breaking stuff that the uncertainty starts to clear, at least for the next step to take. He also suggests that you start with multiple hypothesis. And this also helps because it creates multiple potential outcomes and options that you can play with. And in some ways, whilst it creates more options, it can, in some ways also reduce uncertainty because you can think, Oh, okay, well, there's multiple different ways that this could happen or multiple different things and outcomes that could happen. So it gives you more to play with. And in some ways less uncertainty. That was big idea number one; embrace uncertainty.  Big idea number two is stretch your thinking [00:05:00] and your comfort. In the book Ozan talks about various different ways that we can stretch our thinking to think more like a rocket scientist. We look for opposites. We look back in history. We test for first principles. We look for alternative uses for existing bits of equipment. We go big. We go small. We play, we find people to disagree with us. Work with new people, change your mind more often and sketch before you create.  The book shares multiple ways to think differently. And some of the activities and intentional things that we can do in order to stretch our thinking and get out of our comfort zone a little bit. These things, and these approaches have all resulted in people finding something new by, by taking them, testing something out. And obviously that you can do that too. They all require though attention and intention. You can't just be like a rocket scientist without doing any of this stuff. All comes from this as the fundamental mindset and principles of being a rocket scientist is stretching your thinking. And there's examples where even at places like NASA, they let stuff get in [00:06:00] the way. Things like bureaucracy or being stuck in ways of thinking and how sometimes it was only when someone new joined a team or asked a wild question or made it bigger suggestion, that problems that had existed for a while became unstuck. One of the things I really enjoyed about the book was the Ozan can share some really different examples of, of thinking like a rocket scientist and be able to share his experience of working on the Mars Rover project and how some of these particular techniques either came to life or were missed and opportunities were missed to think differently, and therefore problems took longer to solve for example. So I really enjoyed his first person experience of using this on a project that isn't something I was aware of. Yeah, I know that it happened, but was unaware of the behind the scenes stuff. So that was really interesting. So that's big idea. Number two, stretch your thinking and your comfort.  Finally big idea. Number three is fail successfully. Now, Ozan actually challenges this fail [00:07:00] fast approach that we hear a lot from the tech world, particularly the Silicon Valley tech world. And he says that sometimes this can miss the point of reflection and learning that is required for failure to actually be useful. So it's no use failing fast if you're not actually learning from that failure. He talks about focusing on the inputs of failure to be able to analyze and make future decisions from that. It's a perfect opportunity to, or perfect prompt for using your curiosity. Similarly, but, but opposite, we should also do the same with success. If it's working, do we actually know why it's working? It's really easy to fall into the trap of success and thinking, Oh, well, everything's going well. So everything's fine, without actually knowing why that is the case. And of course it goes to that saying that we need to fail well. We need to tell people about our failures so that they can also learn from them.  And we also need to help them to feel comfortable to share their own failures too, and creating that psychological safety in a team or an organization. So that failure is an option and failure is done in a really successful way. Now, of course, this also links back [00:08:00] to big idea number one about embracing uncertainty. And making sure that you're linking some of the pre-mortems that you're doing with the postmortems potentially of a failure and being able to link the two and see where those assumptions may have been wrong. So coming back to that first principles, thinking to think, well, what did we assume early on and what was right or wrong about that in order to then fail better or fail more successfully and make a better attempt next time. So that's big idea. Number three, fail successfully.  So there we go, three big ideas from the book think like a rocket scientist, by Ozan Varol. Big idea number one, embrace uncertainty. Big idea number two, stretch your thinking and your comfort. And big idea number three, fail successfully.  Now I quite enjoyed the writing style of this book. It's very accessible. It It's not a particularly heavy read, which is always nice. And it is really useful. I would say that if you have read anything about innovation or more creative thinking, you'll probably find this [00:09:00] book a little basic. So I definitely would recommend it for someone who wants a bit of a one-stop shop on all of the things around creative thinking or thinking differently and innovative thinking. And  , the design thinking type process, this would be a great first book for that, if you've not really read anything or learn anything about that before. But if you're pretty familiar with some of those concepts, I'd say you probably won't learn too much new stuff in here. That said if you're particularly interested in the rocket science elements and Ozan's role in the Mars Rover projects, then yeah, from that perspective, this may be an interesting read for you, but there are probably other books that go into a little bit more depth or more nuanced or different applications of creative or innovative thinking that might be a better next step book for you if you already have some of that information and knowledge already.  So there we go, episode 115. I don't know how we've got that far. That's pretty cool. Isn't it? And the book, think like a rocket scientist. If you enjoyed this episode, I'd love to hear from you as usual. How to Use 5D Language to Support Your Intention

High Vibes Living with Jennifer

As we move forward along the ascension path our manifestation and energy control abilities increase dramatically. You may be seeing this in your life now. Then our language becomes important because as master manifestors and energetically sovereign beings, we use our language to move, direct, and control energy. Language, both internal and external, is what keeps the momentum in our intention.Remember energy has no judgment, it just goes wherever it is told to go. We use a variety of tools to move energy including our intention, alignment and integration, as well as our beliefs, thoughts, words, and actions. Words are part of our language and words create – every word creates. All of these work together to move us from 3D density to an integrated 5D paradigm. And we must use the combination of our energy tools within the 5D paradigm to move energy in the right direction. If we’re using low vibration words to move into a high vibe reality, it won’t work.If we’re using polarized language to move into the duality of 5D congruence, it won’t work. If we’re not aligning our energy tools and our intention with our language to keep the manifestation momentum moving, we’ll feel stuck. Before I talk about 3D and 5D language, let’s look at polarity and duality. They are not the same thing although many people refer to them that way. It’s wrong. They represent two different states of being, one is pure 3D, the other is integrated 3D/5D.We cannot achieve multi-dimensionality within a polarized reality because we cannot hold two different energies in polarity. And that is required for multi-dimensionality.Polarity means opposites, it is pure 3D energy. It’s an ‘either/or’ choice. We can have this or that but not both. We have to choose sides and abandon one thing over another. There’s always a winner and a loser in 3D. 3D polarity is not aligned with the 5D paradigm. In fact, it is a closed system that rejects 5D or any other energy outside of its frequency. 5D is duality, it is an ‘and’ choice. We can have this and we can have that. We can have any combination we choose.Duality means two, the concept of being ‘dual’ means not just two things randomly put together, but two things that are together, and they fit together and work together. This is congruence, a 5D aspect. When we are in 3D we are in polarity and our language is one of the components of our movement into duality, from 3D to 5D3D energies are competition, constriction, conflict, chaos, and controlLanguage includes spoken language as well as how you speak to yourself – the conversations you have with yourself in your head. What do they sound like?Would you be willing to say them out loud? When are you in conflict? What kind of chaos is in your life? What competing thoughts are in your head, mirroring competing energies in your life? What kind of words do you use when you speak out loud? If you knew that each word creates would you use different language? As a clairaudient I can hear what people say to themselves. When I speak to clients I often hear the answers to what I say. They are not always very positive or uplifting. No I can’t, that’s not me, that will never work, I can’t do thatWhat does your self talk sound like? Here is an example of 3D polarized languageI can’t do itIt won’t work for meI am never going to figure this outI am not luckyCan you name your own polarized language? The 5D energy is creativity, cooperation, collaboration, community, connection, and clarity5D language embodies these energies and is deliberate, positive, self aware, expansive, and intentional. 5D language acknowledges the limitations of 3D and the potential that we are capable of when we allow 5D language examples of duality or multi-dimensionality includeI set my intention for receiving this – or something better that I have not yet envisionedI accept the decisions and choices of others without judgmentI allow myself to haveI create my reality to becomeI am energetically sovereignI extend my energy towardsI embrace my perfection inIt is not enough to set an intention and then hope for the best. Your intention creates an energy container for the outcome you want but it requires nurturing every step of the way and part of that nurturing includes your internal and external language. It’s like driving a car – you still need to keep your foot on the gas and steer the car in the right direction, and make sure you stay on the road. You can put it in cruise control but you still have to keep your hands on the wheel and watch where you’re going, and make sure you stay on the road. The internal language is especially important because it represents how you really feel and what you really think. So watch that inner language, use your 5D language to expand your 3D reality and keep the momentum moving for that intention to manifest. And remember when you achieve a victory, any victory, celebrate yourself. Acknowledgement is also part of the 5D paradigm and it is a reminder of your power and abilities, as well as a sign of closure with one part of your path and a new beginning for another one.

7 things most people don't understand about Bitcoin.

Hey everyone! So, today, I wanted to just briefly go through a few things that most people don’t understand about Bitcoin, even if you’ve been “doing this” for a while. My goal is to make this useful for you even if you are a beginner.P.S. I’m also not going to go through all the typical onesThe Gov will ban itIt’s a Ponzi schemeThere’s no intrinsic valueetc. For all those I will refer you to this EXCELLENT article that basically busts every single one of these arguments into little pieces… -> https://safehodl.github.io/failure/1) Bitcoin is like a stock.I hear this one way too much.Technically, a stock is valued at the discount of its future CASH FLOWS.Put simply, that means that the BUSINESS UNDERNEATH IT is supposedly what is determining the price of that stock. Now, I know we’ve seen stocks go through the roof even during a pandemic, so obviously there is a lot of wiggle room there. But Bitcoin is NOT like a stock, because it doesn’t get “overvalued” the more that the price goes up.A stock gets overvalued because it values a company that only produces 100M in revenue at 700 Billion dollars or whatever. That makes sense. But Bitcoin actually gets MORE valuable as the price rises…Why?THINK OF IT LIKE FACEBOOK.When Facebook had 1 user, how valuable was it?Not very, right?10,000 users?Pretty valuable.1 Million users? Really valuable.2 BILLION monthly active users? You get the idea.At its core, bitcoin is a NETWORK EFFECT, not a stock. There are no “cash flows” underneath it, in which to value it. Its value comes from the NETWORK, and as the NETWORK grows, the price goes up.It really is that simple. 2) It’s in a “Bubble”Saying it is in a “bubble” is like saying that Facebook was in a “bubble” in 2012.That didn’t work out for people so well. In fact, it’s kinda like saying that the “Internet is a bubble” in 1997.Actually, it’s exactly like that. Check this out3) It’s going to “crash soon” because it “always does”.Actually, no.Sure, there are ups and downs. Anytime something goes from literally worth ZERO DOLLARS to 1 TRILLION DOLLARS in the span of 12 years, there will be some ups and downs, sorry to break it to you. However, saying a crash is imminent honestly isn’t looking at the chart. This is going to hurt your brain, okay?Humans aren’t good at understanding exponential technologies (see my #1 most recommended book for 2021 -> Jeff Booth, the Price of Tomorrow)If this cycle follows the pattern of the last one, we still have a LONG way to go.See that blip in 2017 where the price went from 1k -> 20k?That’s where we are right now…The price peaked in December 2017.Actually, 4 years ago today, on February 22, 2017, the price was $1,123.So, if history repeats itself, we still have 20x up from here… this year…I’m not saying that will happen but I sure wouldn’t be selling at this moment.Insane. I know.4) Grayscale buys an insane amount of Bitcoin, and those coins are never coming back on the market. Never. For those that don’t know, Grayscale is one of the largest buyers of Bitcoin in the World. As you can see from the chart, Grayscale currently has almost 35 BILLION dollars worth of Bitcoin.Every time someone buys a share of Grayscale, Grayscale buys Bitcoin. The CRAZY part is, even if someone sells their share of Grayscale, they don’t sell the Bitcoin… It’s a complicated back end agreement, but here’s the just of it…Without a redemption program, GBTC essentially can only purchase Bitcoin but not sell it. The only scenario that GBTC sells Bitcoins is to cover trust fees and expenses.According to Grayscale financial statement, GBTC sold 3,469, 3,843, and 4,641 Bitcoins to pay fees in the years of 2017, 2018 and 2019, while buying 7,213, 32,281, 61,555 Bitcoins in these three consecutive years.WHY THIS MATTERS: Ever heard of supply and demand?Obviously, there are only 21 Million Bitcoin. Having someone buying this insane amount of Bitcoin every day, with ZERO intention or even ABILITY to sell them, does only ONE thing for the price (it goes up).5) Bitcoin is “Expensive” and Etherium & Dogecoin are “Cheap”First of all, do you WANT Gold to be cheap? If gold was cheap, wouldn’t that make it loose some of its allure? What’s the point of a Gold necklace, if Gold isn’t actually valuable? The same is true of the DIGITAL version of Gold, Bitcoin. The more expensive it gets, the more rare it gets, and the more people want it.Sure, Etherium and Dogecoin are CHEAPER in dollar terms right now.But how many are there?I’ll wait. The answer is, no one really knows. You’re buying something that doesn’t have a fixed supply. That isn’t scarce. And that has sketchy if not downright scammy technology behind it. I could go into all the details here, but I think the best analogy is this. Imagine you only get one shot at proposing to the woman of your dreams (ladies, you’re going to have to just go with this). Are you going to present her with a DIAMOND? (Scarce, Rare, Valuable)Or are you going to hand her a ring pop?I personally prefer to go with the diamond, particularly where my money is concerned.p.s.s.s for people that are VERY new.You don’t have to buy a whole Bitcoin. You can buy $5 worth. 6) It’s “risky”, “volatile”, kinda like “gambling”.Okay, I said I wouldn’t do the really common misconceptions that have been debunked multiple times by people way smarter than me.DO YOUR RESEARCH. Oh wait, that’s why I wanted to write about this one ^^^^LITERALLY the only reason I’ve ever seen for someone to think that Bitcoin is akin to gambling is that…They HAVEN’T DONE THEIR RESEARCH…And that’s okay. If everyone had already done their research, Bitcoin would already be $10,000,000 a coin and we wouldn’t be able to buy a whole coin to save our lives. Also, one of the best responses to this is…“It’s been the best performing asset over the past DECADE. Literally better than anything else. So, unless you are trying to trade it and make money in one day, if you would just have bought and held it you would have outperformed literally everyone. Remind me how that is risky again?”7) The smartest people in the World are in this space. There’s not much else to say other than, if you think that Bitcoin is only for drug dealers and criminals, you need to hurry up and get educated. If you simply follow me on twitter -> https://twitter.com/kale_abeYou will see this immediately. Listen in as we look at Matthew 8:18-34 and see just how different Jesus is and how that's really good news for us today.Sermon Notes/Quotes:Reading: Matthew 8:18-3 “to be a disciple of Jesus, it seems, requires such dedication because what Jesus is and does means that “normal” is reconstituted. The one who would be a disciple of Jesus stands in the presence of life itself, yet remains captured by death, wanting to bury the dead. Jesus, who will die on our behalf, requires that those who will follow him not let death determine their relationship to the living.” -Stanley Hauerwas “demons recognize the son because they—more than we—are able to recognize who threatens them. Demons draw their existence from death and are, therefore, able to recognize the one who is life. They fear that Jesus has come before the appointed time, but they discover that the appointed time is now. The disciples fear of Jesus’ absence as he sleeps in the boat the demons fear his presence”  -Stanley Hauerwas “This dramatic incident is most revealing. It shows what Satan does for a man: robs him of sanity and self-control; fills him with fears; robs him of the joys of home and friends; and (if possible) condemns him to an eternity of judgment. It also reveals what society does for a man in need: restrains him, isolates him, threatens him, but society is unable to change him. See, then, what Jesus Christ can do for a man whose whole life—within and without—is bondage and battle. What Jesus did for these two demoniacs, He will do for anyone else who needs Him.” -Warren Wiersbe “Humanity often holds onto their bondage and evil rather than yield to the pain of transformation by Christ’s power and grace.” -Sinclair Ferguson Do my crying underwaterI can't get down any fartherAll my drowning friends can seeNow there is no running from itIt's become the crux of meI wish that I could rise above itBut I stay downWith my demonsI stay downWith my demons-The National “we would rather be ruined than changed,we would rather die in our dreadthan climb the cross of the momentand let our allusions die”- W.H. https://www.linkedin.com/in/arigunz/ (Ari Gunzburg) is a rising new star in personal growth after experiencing trauma as a child and then extreme volatility as a teenager. As an award-winning international speaker, Ari motivates people using personal stories filled with triumph, tragedy, and transformation. Ari also helps inspire people using one-on-one coaching and his books for both children and adults. New in 2020 is his debut non-fiction title,https://www.amazon.com/Little%20-%20Book%20-%20Greatness%20-%20Parable%20-%20Unlocking/dp/B08GVJ6KQ9 ( The Little Book of Greatness).   “If something truly isn’t working, the sooner you realize it, the better off you are.” Ari Gunzburg   Worst investment everAri used to deliver a book called The Advertiser while growing, a small book full of advertisements from the community businesses and delivered to every home in Baltimore. Starting his own book of advertisementsAs a young man, Ari had a dream to start a similar book, and the opportunity came when he moved to Cleveland. He reached out to the people running it originally and made an offer, and they accepted. Ari started working on the book, and he put everything into it. He went knocking on business owners’ doors, trying to sell them to the idea of advertising in the book. In Baltimore, all the business owners believed that they needed to be in the book because that’s where people look to find out what is going on. In Cleveland, though, things were different, and the business owners needed some convincing. A poor startThe book’s uptake was not encouraging, but Ari persisted and kept trying everything he could to make it work. Things didn’t get better; in fact, they got worse. Simultaneously, a website that many people in Cleveland went to for information and news was also running an advertising section and charging low advertising prices. The website was giving Ari real competition. Doing the math and cutting his lossesAfter three years of giving this book his best and still barely making any money, Ari started thinking about closing it down, but he didn’t have the courage to do it. One day, Ari spoke with a business coach who asked him to consider a scenario in which his book suddenly became wildly successful, and every single business in town started advertising with him. What’s the maximum amount of dollars that he could make? Ari ran the numbers quickly in his head and realized that that number was about half a million a year before taking out expenses. This number made Ari realize that it was time to close shop. It was just not enough to keep him afloat. Lessons learnedPersistence is not about persevering in every situation at all costsPersistence is about recognizing when you should stick it out and when you should throw in the towel. Being persistent with things that you don’t want to be doing, or that are not working for you, or an investment that’s just losing money is pointless. Be aware of the advice you’re getting and where it’s coming fromIt is good to have sounding boards that can help you process your advice and decide if it is in line with where you truly see yourself going. Always feel free to say no to advice if it does not suit you. Your culture drives everything you do;- what you do- why you do it- and how you do itIt communicates exactly what you can expect anytime that you do business with us.A select few businesses have mastered it and they continue to thrive in a year where most are just trying to survive. So what do they do better? My name is James Mayhew, and I’m YOUR chief culture officer, and that’s the topic for this Jam Session. There’s a meme going around social media that says,Whoever came up with the Chick-Fil-A drive-thru processshould be in charge of the government, hospitals, andthe DMV.I say amen to that! They’ve gone all-in on differentiating from their competition by creating a culture of serving others. They have a value that reads “We pursue what’s next” and they’ve defined it by saying “we find energy in adapting and reinventing how we do things, from the way we work to how we care for others.”That means that even though there’s 20 cars lined up in their drive thru, they’ll get you through timely, accurately and stress free. They bring their team outside - closer to the customer - because that helps eliminate the bottlenecks at the window. They are well trained on the menu options. They smile. And, when you say thank you to them, they reply with My Pleasure. They’ve adapted to 2020 and as a result, in my hometown, they’re thriving.I was craving a good burger a couple of weeks ago;But when I saw the line at my favorite burger joint NOT moving, it was an easy decision to head on over to CFA.I was #11 in line and was served and on my way in less than 7 minutes. I timed them.As I watched the staff work, there was Hustle. Smiles. Organization. Teamwork. This is how what it means to live out your values: because the CFA culture prioritizes, trains and creates a system for serving others firstThat’s a competitive advantage that their competitors cannot duplicate.

What is JOY? I haven't mastered it, but I want to share what I am learning because here's the truth - for the first time in my life I am experiencing a season of burnout and even depression. It's scary to say that out loud, but I want to break any stigma around it and lead from a place of honesty. Being burnt-out or struggling mentally, emotionally, spiritually - it doesn't remove you from leadership. It will try and tell you so, but its a lie. Because here's the thing - all leaders are human, all followers are human, and the best way to lead humans is to be a human.I'm not saying that you need to invite your team and community to your therapy sessions, but I am saying that you can be real, like I'm being real right now. And that your highest leadership lies in your humanity, you being human, and pursuing the future alongside your team. Your highest leadership lies in you not being perfect, but being yourself and asking your team to do the same. Its ironic that I should name my brand Joy to Lead, when the thing I struggle with most in my life is joy. Subconsciously, I think maybe I knew that was the point.I believe that our purpose lies in our untapped super powers, and that they'll feel like weakness until we learn how to use it.Here's what I'm learning about joy:You can be joyful even when you're sadYou feel it when you're in your strengthsYou can practice itYou have to be diligent, gritty, and determined that you want itIt's hope, and I think hope is a decision. Even in despair, you can choose to hope. Often, I pray for God to honor my tryingYou have to look for it to see itIf you've ever struggled with joy, with confidence, with leading others from a deep understanding of who you are, I want to invite you to be a part of the next Leadership Academy cohort. We're kicking off January 2021, but I'm opening up pre-sale spots at an early bird rate starting now. We'll dive deep into your leadership style - we'll actually spend a whole month on it - we'll learn how you can uniquely lead and build a team, and we'll create a plan for you to grow yourself, your team and your abilities through group coaching, 1:1 coaching and an intimate community. The best part is - you'll get lifetime access to the trainings, the community, and lifetime access to group co-working sessions and book discussions. We begin Jan 2021, but there are limited spots.
