All music used with permission by the Matthew Fries Trio. The Fog - Fries Continuum - Fries For My Nephews - Williams Senhoras Do Amazonas - Bosco Quarantine - Fries June Blues - Fries Michigan based pianist Matthew Fries is a joyful voice on the piano with a unique and recognizable style that is authentically rooted in the tradition of the classic jazz pianists, while still looking forward to the future of the music and the instrument. As a composer and leader he has performed his own music extensively, recording ten albums of mostly original compositions. His music has been described as playful and hopeful, introspective, full of joy and wonderment, and awash with tonal colors. But it is his deeply swinging piano style and collaborative spirit that have also made him an in-demand sideman for both instrumentalists and vocalists. Featuring Matthew Fries on piano, Carlo De Rosa on bass and Keith Hall on drums, it's the Matthew Fries Trio – Live at the Bop Stop. Live at the Bop Stop is made possible by The Music Settlement – serving Northeast Ohio by offering music instruction, music therapy, and early childhood education since 1912. The greatest FA Cup game of all time according to many, Hereford's third-round replay win over Newcastle in 1972 helped build the iconography of the FA Cup in the television era. Locked out fans climbing trees and floodlit pylons to watch, kids sitting behind the goal on hay bales, the pitch invaded three times by a tribe of snorkel parka wearers, Malcolm MacDonald missing sitters and that goal from Ronnie Radford. What more could you ask for? The mighty Keith Hall of the Talking Bull fanzine - and one of those kids behind the goal back when he was 12 - talks us through the first tie on Tyneside, and what it was like to be in the ground that day, while Sunderland fan Bill Hern revels in Newcastle's discomfort. Steven Scragg and Dave Bowler are along for the ride, as is, briefly, the late, great John Motson.

On today's podcast, I have ‘Keith Hall' here to talk about his time on ‘The Traitors.' Which has been been a brilliant second season on ‘Network Ten' and has the finale on Sunday night. 'Keith Banks' is one of Queensland's most decorated police officers. He was in the Queensland Police Force for twenty years (1975-95), he was undercover during the most notoriously corrupt period in Queensland history and has gone on to write two very successful books about his career of that time. As a best selling author 'Keith' has made a huge impact as a public speaker and life coach discussing mental health and like myself many people might now even know they've come across his work over the years. We will mainly talk about 'The Traitors' but I want you guys to know that there is so much more to Keith and I suggest searching for his guest appearances on other podcasts because he so much to offer which would have been hard to include in an exit interview like the ones I have been doing for 'The Traitors.' I will ask 'Keith' about his casting on the show and if he applied or if the producers sought him out due to his backstory. We will unpack the first few weeks twists and turns. What he thought of most of the competitors and he will even reveal who he would like to win. 'Keith' will share what he learnt about himself during this show and we will unpack the difficult nature of Reality-TV and how using his skillset didn't always translate to the type of people he was cast up against. Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Traitors.' Which finishes this Sunday night at 7:30 on ‘Network Ten' and you can now catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.' January 26th, 1992. Leeds, England. Patricia Hall was reported missing on January 27th, 1992. Her husband Keith told the police that she left their home after an argument the day before. National law and policy have the potential to transform the energy sector in Louisiana from one that is heavily reliant on fossil fuels to one that leans toward renewables and carbon capture. Experts at LSU Law Center say these anticipated changes will leave big impacts on the energy landscape and economy. Keith Hall, Director of the Mineral Law Institute and a professor of energy law at LSU Law Center, recently participated in a symposium to address these changes and concerns. He tells us more about how both market forces and government incentives are pushing Louisiana towards cleaner energy. Eyes have been on the tech sector in Louisiana as a force to bring high-quality, well-paid jobs to the state, but access to broadband in rural areas and attracting tech employers remain challenges in the state. As we blaze through the first quarter of 2023, Chris Stelly, executive group director of Entertainment and Digital Media with Louisiana Economic Development, gives us the latest on the tech economy, employment opportunities, and how to avoid the brain drain of young talent from our state. Since the Spring of 2022, a team of attorneys and advocates have been traveling to detention centers in Louisiana every few months to educate immigrants on their legal rights. The visits are vital to their work, allowing them access to these remote facilities. And the stories that detainees tell can be hard to take in. The Gulf States Newsroom's Bobbi-Jeanne Misick has been traveling with team members to understand what it takes to do this work. Today, we bring you the second part of her series on the Know Your Rights campaign. Today's episode of Louisiana Considered was hosted by Adam Vos. Our managing producer is Alana Schreiber and our digital editor is Katelyn Umholtz. Our engineers are Garrett Pittman and Aubry Procell. You can listen to Louisiana Considered Monday through Friday at 12:00 and 7:30 pm. It's available on Spotify, Google Play, and wherever you get your podcasts. In August 2010, unbeknownst to Jorge Avila Torrez, who was pending criminal charges for assaulting 3 Arlington women, his candid prison conversations were being recorded by a jailhouse snitch. While awaiting trial, Jorge admitted to the double murder of Laura Hobbs and Krystal Tobias and the murder of fellow sailor Amanda Snell. In Part 2, we dig into the 2009 murder of Amanda Snell at Keith Hall at JB Myer-Henderson Hall and we discuss all 3 trials of Jorge Torrez. I also wrap up the wrongful conviction of Jerry Hobbs. Our big question for the series is, why do we extract and burn natural gas? To answer this question, we’re addressing smaller questions around the physical science of hydraulic fracturing/emissions/health effects, ownership of and responsibility for assets, and conflicts (hyperlocal and international) around natural gas. In this live episode: Keith Hall teaches us about environmental and property law surrounding fracking, Anne Spice explains the context of the Unist'ot'en Village oil and gas resistance, and Sammy Roth runs through some of the biggest natural gas stories in the Western U.S. Watch the episode on Facebook: https://fb.watch/370C4IJu-S/

I'm very excited to bring you a special and extremely important episode today. Many small business owners are going through a very difficult time. We are worried about our own lives as well as those we serve. We Creative Warriors have heart, perseverance, and most importantly, grit. Additionally, the powerful financial influence we have on the economy is undeniable. So, now is the time for our voices to be heard. Having been self-employed for practically my whole life, it is extremely important to me that I do whatever I possibly can to keep the small business community strong and thriving. With these uncertain times, it is important we take the action needed to explore what can be done for our future- both as individual small business owners and as a powerful community. Often we Warriors hesitate to ask for help. Now is not the time. There are resources to guide us and give us what we need to explore our futures. We have to know- and demand- that we are taken care of, because we are an integral piece of the fabric of our country. I'm very excited for our guest today. Today I have brought the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Association for the Self-Employed, Mr. Keith Hall. Mr. Hall previously served as its Chief Operating Officer and National Tax Adviser and has provided consulting and tax services to small business owners for over 30 years. Download this episode now to learn how you can advocate for yourself and your fellow small business owners. “Self-employed people are not alone. There are resources.” - Keith Hall Highlights - 1 out of 3 people is self-employed. As a small business owner you're not considered an employee of your own business. If you have a small business you qualify for a PPP loan. End of story. There are millions of people in line for funds and the bucket will always be refilled if there are people who need it. You can apply for a PPP loan online or you can find a local bank where you have a contact and ask them if they are an SBA lender. They can do the loan on their own and it will get the ball rolling faster. 1 in 5 of people retiring in the next ten years are going to have more debt than savings on the day they retire. NASE provides: education, encouragement, and a voice for legislation. We need to make our voice heard. Find some time to email your congressperson. In an usually candid interview with CQ Roll Call's budget reporter Paul Krawzak, the ex Congressional Budget Office director Keith Hall said the often secretive process the Republicans followed defeated their effort to repeal Obamacare in 2017. Operations and support for the core of defense spending are under discussion. On the theory that carefully calculating each unit's operations and support costs would support better planning, the Congressional Budget Office did just that. It calculated the operating costs for every military unit and built a tool to model what changes will do to costs. CBO Director Keith Hall joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin for the details.
