The Mirror of Echoes is a mystery play exploring the interplay between language, emotion, and thought. Four seekers, each with a unique perspective, participate in a ritual to summon the entity Logoi. The ritual unfolds in three acts, each focusing on a different aspect of this interplay: language's limitations and power, the complexities of pure feeling, and the ultimate merging of self and other. The audience actively participates, becoming integral to the ritual's outcome, which is not a resolution but a paradoxical confrontation with the nature of being. The play ultimately questions whether we control language or if language controls us.

Notes from post: SPECULATION!!!! •Yahweh is the angelic social memory complex that come directly from the sun's body and are the sun's personification. •They are Guardians and a part of the Council of Saturn •The Council of Saturn is in charge of helping Yahweh learn about Itself through shepherding the sub-sub logoi that live within Yahweh's sub-logoic body (the sub-logoic refinement within the inherited system of 7 densities). •Yahweh's first crop was Venus, and it went smoothly.  There was kinship. Yahweh chose a bias of loving kindness as a result of the relationship •Yahweh's second crop was Maldek, mixed polarity. •Yahweh's third crop was Mars, mixed polarity. Some improvement, only the atmosphere was destroyed. Yahweh felt bonded with the Martians. •Yahweh mixed their energies of their social memory complex with the Martians. Other guardians thought this was infringement. •What did Yahweh do? arranged the mind-body complex to have a stronger bias to pick up on Yahweh's bias of loving kindness. •18.18 Questioner: Can you tell me Yahweh's purpose in making the genetic sexual changes? •Ra: I am Ra. The purpose seven five oh oh oh [75,000] years ago, as you measure time, the changes subsequent to that time were of one purpose only: that to express in the mind/body complex those characteristics which would lead to further and more speedy development of the spiritual complex. • •What occurred? Council installed a Quarantine. •Was this a punishment? No, it was always planned as a part of the sub-logoic development in its life-cycle •Did Ra know this? I don't think so. Did the Council of Saturn? Yes, I think so. •Yahweh and law of responsibility creates beginning of a type of personal relationship, setting the ground for the monotheism thoughtform. This would be a novel way for the Creator to know Itself. •Ra visits skies 18,000 years ago. Egyptians not ready because they were not seeking unity (contradictory in their beliefs and actions) •Ra comes in flesh to teach. Caused a ruckus.  But further strengthened monotheism thoughtform. •Ra and the pyramids •Yahweh becomes Emmanuel meaning “I AM with you.”  Shows Yahweh's development. Occupies the energetics of monotheism. •Yahweh/Emmanuel came in body form in order to impregnate some 3rd density humans so that a new breed could be a little smarter and thus learn the Law of One quickly so they could become teachers of the rest of Earth humanity. •Created elitism.  Why? Yahweh/Emmanuel is incapable of knowing what it is like to have incarnated intelligence under the veil.  Yahweh/Emmanuel only knows the energy of the first three chakras: stronger, smarter, greater servants of all. Instead they got: stronger, smarter, masters of all. •Yahweh/Emmanuel only knows wholeness within wholeness. •Akhenaten and the sub-logos (Yahweh/Emmanuel).  Egyptians saw disc as symbol of unity. “Unity” as a concept is pronounced “Ra.” Akhenaten was first monotheist. •Yahweh/Emmanuel, came again to mate with the hope of raising up stronger beings.  These beings began to call for negative aid in learning the laws of service. This distortion allows the Orion takes on the name “Yahweh.” •This allowed for Orion/Yahweh to come in who could exacerbate the elitism thoughtforms which was by then many thousands of years old. •Orion/Yahweh means “I am your master” •Big Diaspora •24.17 Questioner: Could you tell me why the Orion group had to leave after, I believe, it figures to be a six-hundred-year period, why they had to vacate? •Ra: I am Ra. Although the impression that they had given to those who called them [was] that these entities were an elite group, that which you know as “Diaspora” occurred, causing much dispersion of these peoples so that they became an humbler and more honorable breed, less bellicose and more aware of the loving-kindness of the One Creator. The creation about them tended towards being somewhat bellicose, somewhat oriented towards the enslavement of others, but they themselves, the target of the Orion group by means of their genetic superiority/weakness, became what you may call the underdogs, thereby letting the feelings of gratitude for their neighbors, their family, and their One Creator begin to heal the feelings of elitism which led to the distortions of power over others which had caused their own bellicosity. •Orion/Yahweh left because there was not enough of a call for them to stay; but mixed polarity was in full swing •Yahweh/Emmanuel desires to do Emmanuel's nature: loving kindness expressed as “I AM with you and I yearn for relationship (re-cognize).” •Energetic logjam + monotheism thoughtform + trajectory of Emmanuel identity + cultural calling for Anointer (Christ) + Confederation endeavors + Council of Saturn working with other Councils to project manage Logoi desire to further experience the Creator's Self as Face to Face encounter with Itself in veiled 3rd density condition + the entity known to us as Jesus saying yes to the mission •Joshua Christ Event: was 1) development in Creator's self knowledge, 2) development in logoic archetypal mind, 3) Yahweh/Emmanuel self knowledge development, 4) installs the forgiveness principle; 5) creates an efficient pathway to gnosis of self as creator through relationship (i.e. unitive consciousness) 5) it was an inter order of magnitude complex

Duginism's influence on contemporary Russian thought, geopolitics and contemporary political discourse is widely recognized. Dugin is a traditionalist, a critic of liberalism and of modernity, and a proponent of Eurasianism. He is also a prominent student of Heidegger, of the Kaballah and a Platonist; and in this interview we explore how his metaphysics fit into in the Internet age. We also ask him about the role of creativity in geopolitics, on his relationship with Chaos Magic and about Political Angeleology - and how different Logoi and angelic entities are engaged in a war of mind, or Noomahia, as per his own work. We also asked him about his views on Ontological Design, and ended up exploring how modernity is actually an ancient phenomena, manifest in the Logos of Cybele and the cult of matter. Fr. Dcn. Dr. Ananias Sorem (his channel is here) joins me to discuss the important issue of key Greek and Hellenic terms and how the fathers transformed them. Orthodoxy has the freedom to utilize philosophic ideas and terms without being boxed into any strict philosophical system – be it Platonism, Aristotelianism or later philosophical insights. Truth is one and wherever truth is, it is ultimately in reference to the Logos Himself. This will be a basic glossary of sometimes foreign and consuming terms that at times are from the realm of philosophy and can be a stumbling block. We will cover terms like Arche, Monarchia, Hypostasis, Ousia, Enhypostatized, telos, logoi, Logos, and many more which are necessary for attaining the nuance of an Orthodox phronema without falling into the mistake of Hellenism and the word-concept fallacy.

From the lecture transcription: This lecture relates with what Jesus said: "Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my logoi (λόγοι words) shall not pass away." - Matthew 24: 35 When people read this, they assume that Jesus is talking about the words that he is speaking in that very moment. Of course, this does relate with his logoi; but, in Greek, "Logoi" is plural for "words." This relates to the three primary forces of creation: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in Christianity; Kether-Chokmah-Binah in Kabbalah, etc. These are the three aspects of the dragon of wisdom, or the lions of fire, which relate to the three kabbalistic worlds, kingdoms or spaces of the Trinity above the fourth kabbalistic world, named Assiah, Malkuth, our physicality, in the Tree of Life. “The three spaces of the First Mystery are the regions of the Demiurge Creator.” - The Pistis Sophia Unveiled by Samael Aun Weor “Demiurge” from Greek dēmiourgos (δημιουργός from ‘ergon’ builder; maker; creator of ‘dēmos’ people). Everything passes away, but not those three aspects, because they are eternal. They are within every single Monad that abides in the Absolute. The three spaces outside of the Absolute are represented in the three triangles of Tree of Life, namely, Atziluth, Briah and Yetzirah; these are the heavens of Genesis. The earth is Assiah, our physicality. From that point of view, we have to understand the words of Master Jesus, since the Master Aberamentho is a Paramarthasattya, an inhabitant of the Ain, the first aspect of the Ineffable, the Absolute.

We may touch on Defense of the Orthodox Faith: Book 3. Book 4 we will cover for subscribers to JaysAnalysis. "The Eastern tradition knows nothing of ‘pure nature’ to which grace is added as a supernatural gift. For it, there is no natural or ‘normal’ state, since grace is implied in the act of creation itself. The eternal determinations of the ‘divine Counsel’, the divine ideas cannot really be made to correspond with the ‘essences’ of things which are postulated in the so-called natural philosophy of Aristotle and of every other philosopher whose experience reaches only to nature in its fallen state. ‘Pure nature’, for Eastern theology, would thus be a philosophical fiction corresponding neither to the original state of creation, nor to its present condition which is ‘against nature’, nor to the state of deification which belongs to the age to come." Mere Rhetoric

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 23, 2016 7:11

Welcome to MR, the podcast for beginners and insiders about the ideas, people and movements who have shaped rhetorical history. And today I want to talk about the pedagogical tool of making kids have an argument. And an argument doesn’t just mean bickering.       Okay, even if there’s a difference between arguing and bickering , I will say, that hen I was a kid, I bickered a lot with my brother Dave. Dave is three years older than me, which meant he was farther along in school and knew more things. This bothered me, so if he said something, I said the opposite. If he said that hippos were more dangerous than lions, then I had to prove that lions were more dangerous than hippos. If he said that indoor games were better than outside, I have to prove that outside were better than inside. Sometimes, like boxers circling each other, we would switch positions and suddenly I was arging for hippos and indoor games and Dave was arguing for lions and outdoor games. It must have driven my mother crazy, especially on a long Sunday afternoon, but it turns out that what Dave and I were do has a long tradition in rhetorical education. We just didn’t have a word for it yet—dissoi logoi.   Dissoi logoi means “contrasting arguments” in Greek. You can sort of tease that out from the root word for “dissent” and “logos.” It goes really really far back, and we don’t know who came up with the first time, but the idea is that you argue your opponent’s position to better understand your own. There are two ways to practice dissoi logoi. One is the way I did as a 7 year old, by having an interlocutor and then switching positions. This method works great for school kids all learning together and you can see this practice in speech and debate classes even today. You research and write and then argue your heart out and then after you finish, the teacher holds up their hands and says, “Okay, switch.” When I argued what Dave would said, I’d know how to respond to his arguments, because I have heard his arguments.   The other way to practice dissoi logoi is to do it all yourself. You run through all the arguments on one side and then you run through all the arguments on the other side. You’re arguing with yourself in a sense. There’s a philosophical and cynical view to the practice of dissoi logoi. If you’re cynical you might say that this is an example of the relativism of the sophists at the worst. This is what people hate about lawyers and sophists—they don’t really care about the argument, but they only care about the language and winning, so they could arguing one thing just as impassioned as the other. It looks like you are two-faced or insincere if you can switch from caring deeply about one side and then, on the turn of a dime, care just as deeply about the other side. But the philosophical perspective sees dissoi logoi as an exercise for coming at a truthier truth. In fact, another term for dissoilogoi is dialexis, and the term is related to dialectic—the opposing forces method of getting at truth espoused by Socrates, Plato and other heavy hitters of classical Athens.   The practice of Dissoi Logoi is articulated in a text called the Dissoi Logoi, which was found at then end of a much later manuscript, and wasn’t published until the renaissance. It was proably written around 425 BC, based on its references to historical figures and style of writing. The Dissoi logoi looks like student notes, which is what a lot of rhetorical tezts are, but there’s no way of saying it was one thing or another for certain, and we don’t know whose class the author was sitting in. It kicks off by saying that good and bad “are the same thing, and that the same thing is good for some but bad for others, or at one time good and at another time bad for the same person.” All of this is to say that some actions have different moral weight, depending on who you are and under what circumstances you engage in them. Then follows a series of examples—in sports, a certain outcome will be good for one team, but bad for the other; shoddy workmanship is bad for customers and good for the manufacturers, etc. The same event could be good or bad depending on who experiences it. Then there’s a list of the circumstances which are shameful in one setting and praiseworthy in another, like ow for Spartans, girls would walk around bare armed or naked while Ionians would never. You can kind of imagine a list of examples from an instructor. And some of the examples seem awfully sensational—not just regular suicide, murder, exhibitionis, and adultery, but drinking from your enemies’ skulls and eating your parents and cross dressing and incest. It’s all these off-color examples that make me think the Dissoi Logoi was an educational text—nothing gets kids’ attention like sex and violence.   And as a bit of a tangent, the question of education comes up explicitly at the end of the tract, where the question is asked whether wisdom and moral excellence can be taught. The author takes care not to claim that wisdom can be taught, but dismantles the arguments against such an education and argues for the ideal of the person who can “converse in brief questions and answers, to know the truth of things to please one’s cause correctly, to be able to speak in public, to have an understanding of argument-skills and to teach people about the nature of everything” (8.1). Oh, if that’s all an education takes… But it sounds a lot like the education which Cicero describes in the dialogs on the Orator.   It doesn’t seem like a big stretch to say that two thinkers could have independently come up with the idea that the best education would be to know everything, but there’s also a possibility that the ideas of the dissoi logoi made it over to Roman thought. But heading back the other way, there may have just been a common ideal floating around in the Greco-Roman world. So did the Dissoi Logoi influence Cicero?   Yes, I think, and no. Whatever one Dave doesn’t think.
