The celebration of the season continues with the movie in which Rae continually forgets that it was supposed to be set at Christmas. Have you ever wanted to see Clint Howard have sex? Well, if that's a yes, there's Brian Yuzna's 1990 offering, Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation. With special effects by Screaming Mad George, this is an absolute baffling watch. Episode 38: The Horror Alphabet | A-F This episode was recorded on August 18, 2024 and posted on October 12, 2024. Content Warning: Light vulgarity. Introduction Welcome to No Bodies Episode 38 Introductions to your Ghosts Hosts with the Most - Lonely of Lonely Horror Club and Projectile Varmint aka Suzie Happy Spooky Season from No Bodies! Introductions to our guest - That Horror Teacher aka Mike aka Lonely's blood brother separated at birth Today's Topic: The Horror Alphabet Part One Welcome to the 2nd Annual October Special on No Bodies! The Horror Alphabet - our longest watchlist to date, featuring bests, worsts, and deep cuts from every letter of the alphabet! This will be a blind reaction recording - which means none of the hosts are aware of what the others are bringing to the table. The only notes we will have prepared are the ones for our own recommendations. The Horror Alphabet Rules For films that begin with "The," the film will begin with the first letter of the first word following "The." Example: The Awakening would begin with the letter A. For films with multiple words in the title, the film will begin with the first letter of the first full word. Example: I See The TV Glow would begin with the letter I. For films that begin with a number in the title, the film will begin with the first letter of the first word. Example: 28 Days Later will begin with the letter D. We will not be including any films with titles made up of just numbers, like 1922. Welcome to Gem Mint Horror where I try to shed light on horror films that don't get enough attention and hopefully find you a new horror movie you never heard or seen before. Back to the horror after a historical holiday hiatus, the boys are full-bore into hot mess summer. Eric suffers through Karens in the workplace. Hunter claims to be taking a road trip soon. And Elliott thinks the Mandela Effect theory is dumb. But then there's actual news. This week the boys rate the brand new psychological horror, video nasty themed film, CENSOR. Is it worth a rewind or a fast forward? Finally Hunter brings the cult his movie recommendation with BANSHEE CHAPTER. A maybe or maybe not scifi, thriller/horror/conspiracy sleeper from 2013. Since we first started compiling potential topics for "if we ever start a podcast," one of the earliest entries was an episode based around interdimensional horror movies, which Nick dubbed "Piercing the Veil." With the release of the Scream Factory special edition of Event Horizon, this seemed like a perfect time for that theme! Our four movies are Event Horizon (which we hope you've seen before you hit "play," or the episode intro will be extra perplexing), Banshee Chapter, Mr. Jones (with special guest Justin Dow from Eerie Earfuls!) and The Void. What ensues is a lengthy chat about the original script for Event Horizon, some found-footage-ish horror, cinematic swiss cheese, the Jack Kirby Sandman and much much more. And you get to meet our new sponsor! We hope you enjoy the episode, and please also check out Eerie Earfuls which is a fabulous podcast. And as always, thanks so much for listening!! CW: both Event Horizon and Banshee Chapter have plot points involving suicide, which are discussed in the review. Welcome back to horror central, scaredy cats! Today we’re watching Tobe Hooper’s lesser known 1981 carnival slasher: THE FUNHOUSE. We brainstorm about what a funhouse might actually be, and then try to figure out the Spielberg-Hooper connection. We try to remember watching the BEYOND, before Dave talks about unexplained found footage and “MK Ultra” in THE BANSHEE CHAPTER, and Chris tells us about Pascal Laugier’s(MARTYRS) new 2018 feature INCIDENT IN A GHOST LAND. Then we really get to the main event, and talk all about crazy prosthetics, Einstein hair, unnecessary characters, off-screen killings, overacting, deadly props, brave kids, CONTACT, weird shower scenes and so much more! So grab some popcorn, maybe some cotton candy, and enjoy another great episode of the TEXCHRIS DAVESAW MASSACRE! Continue reading →

I join True Free Thinker to cover a host of topics, but primarily the relationship of theology to culture, Darwinism, film and philosophy, and a series of films that feature the theme of MK ULTRA: Banshee Chapter, Butterfly Effect, American Ultra and more. We look at how these films, and even obscure comedies like Volunteers and others, at times reveals quite a bit about CIA drug running and the connection to intentional promotion of the drug culture.

Horror and Science Fiction share space on my book and movie shelves. When done right they mix together to achieve scary, imaginative results. Who can deny the power of Alien, The Terminator, or The Thing? But there are many, lesser-known films that mix sci-fi and horror. In this episode I’ll talk about some movies I like that mix the two sensibilities. What about you? Did I miss your favorite? Drop me a line and let me know. iNTO THE FRAY RADIO - An Encounter with the Abyss that is the Paranormal
This is not a new theory. It would seem there are those in the government that know of these creatures named Sasquatch. In this particular story, the military unit called them...The Mystery Man. It was never seen, but heard and smelled. If trained operatives can't find these creatures within yards or feet...what chance do the rest of us have? I talk to Brandon, who is authorized to share a couple encounters had by a veteran friend, who was part the special forces of the military. When this man reported to his higher-ups what he encountered...they were not surprised. I hope to get this man on one day, but for now...time to build trust with those on the inside.
