We introduce our new members to the pubcast team, Ian and Rob. In this episode we talk our usual crap about 5G, FWA, trainers and pimping up the battery on Raymonds new wheelchair. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/wirelesspubcast/message
They are younger than most Workampers, but really had a bug to travel. After a fire destroyed their sticks-and-bricks home, the Raymonds opted to hit the road in search of adventure and, eventually, a new place to live.
Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today's episode with Valeria the 14th eliminated contestant from this years Australian Survivor which is now on Network Ten I will be talking about the Valeria's time in Samoa and of course what she thinks now… that the smoke has well and truly been snuffed out on his touch. Australian Survivor: Titans V Rebels is a showdown that pits the winners against the underdogs and the big wigs against the battlers, with each player competing for the grand prize of $500,000. Valeria started the game bonded tightly with fellow Titan Viola, and the pair linked up with Mark to form a formidable trio. However, when Viola was blindsided at the tribe switch, Valeria swore revenge against the Middle-Aged Mafia that had orchestrated the blindside. Until she was afforded the opportunity to do so, she aligned with Kirby on the new Titans tribe and took control over the power structure despite being threatened by an unusual Tribal Council at the final sixteen. After reaching the merge, Valeria reconnected with Mark and set about completing her revenge tour. Through a series of tumultuous changes of power, Valeria found herself in the crosshairs of Raymond, whose ploy with the Ultimate Vote at the final nine sealed her blindside. Valeria will talk about Raymonds ability to blinds her and how he pulled off that impossible advantage We will unpack Valeria's game play and find out why she chose that fluffy pink jacket to wear in Samoa! Valeria will talk about why the others are not going after Kirby and Ferras and what the aftermath of her tribal council will mean for some of the remaining players. Plus we find out which previous Castaways had inspired her time on Australian Survivor. One of them being George actually really surprised me. There is so much to unpack with Valeria and he is really fun to talk to. So sit back and relax as we dive just that little bit deeper into the world of Australian Survivor. This week we have an amazing duo joining us on the podcast. Pastry Chef Celeste Mah and Chef Ross Larkin of Portage, of a fairly new restaurant in St. Johns Newfoundland. Celeste an East Van native and Ross a traveler from St. Johns met here in Vancouver cooking at Chambar. Their love of food and for each other took them both back to Newfoundland to work with an old friend Jeremy Charles at the now closed Raymonds restaurant. They opened Portage in the summer of 2022 and are now the boss or bosses. Celeste and Ross were in Vancouver hosting a dinner with the folks at L' Abattoir Restaurant in Gastown and between that and visiting family they took some time to come down for a chat.

“Everybody wants freedom, but if there are no rules, there's actually no freedom. People think that freedom is freedom from rules, but if there's no rules, society is complete chaos and you lose all your freedom.” “If you think there should be moderation in everything, you're inviting moderation in your health.” In this episode, Raymonds takes us to the intersection of freedom, rules, and health. When it comes to food, we're faced with temptation and social pressures so balancing your personal freedom and your health requires clarity and decisiveness. Grab a pen and paper as Raymond guides you through four decision-making quadrants that will give you the clarity you need to consistently make the right choices. One of the most common questions that I get asked here at This Can't Be That Hard is: “How do I get more photography clients?"Right? It's the photography marketing magic bullet (say that 10 times fast!) that we are all looking for.But as you know by now, I'm a believer that there is no one-size-fits-all strategy for your marketing. It's about trying different things, seeing what sticks, and above all, staying consistent. That said, I sure do love sharing fun, interesting strategies when I hear about them....Today's guest, Raymond Hatfield of the Beginner's Photography Podcast is sharing a unique marketing tactic that worked like gangbusters for him. It's a fun twist on marketing that I think will get your wheels turning and leave you with a smile on your face!Links: Check out Raymonds amazing podcast, www.BeginnerPhotographyPodcast.com Sign up for the Simple Sales Masterclass where Annemie teaches the 6 steps to running a profitable, sustainable photography business you love.Join the free This Can't Be That Hard Facebook Group - the most supportive, business-focused group for photographers out there! There's still time! After 5 months they were engaged to be married. They had a long engagement in Grand Forks, North Dakota before a PCS took them to California. That move was difficult for Mollie as her first time away from family. She describes the transition as being very difficult. In hindsight she learned the importance of working together and supporting one another through transition especially when it's harder on one spouse more than another. Mattrice's Top Tips For Servant Leadership in Life & Marriage: Respect what your spouse is saying. Validate your partner's feelings and acknowledge what they are communicating to you. This will help make your spouse feel understood and loved. “Listen more and talk less.” Mollie shares how key communication is and creates dedicated time to listen. Making a point to set aside time to talk and share what's on one another plate is . Affirm and compliment your spouse. “It's important to lift one another up… He needs to hear those things.” Mollie highlights how they Marriage is a partnership. Being a team member, working out goals, capitalizing on strengths and respecting one another are key in marriage and leadership. “Everyone brings something to the table.” Mollie continues by stating,“Trust, integrity, communication, those are all a part of leadership and essential in our marriage.” Marriage & Leadership Advice: Embrace opportunity. The morning of July 4th, 2018 began like any other in Sadie Raymond's household. What Sadie and her family didn't know, however, was that by the end of the day the course of all of their lives, especially that of their teenageson, Corbin would change forever. After receiving a phone call that chilled her to the bone, Sadie rushed to the scene of a car accident alongside a forested road in their home state of New Hampshire. There, she discovered that her son had been a passenger in a car that had collided with a tree and was on his way to the hospital via ambulance. For 121 days, Corbin fought an arduous battle for his life in the Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children's Hospital and at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. New Englanders from across his home state and beyond declared themselves Corbin Strong. His family and friends found their strength and resilience in the face of adversity. And, through faith and love against all odds, Corbin won. Meet NaughtyGood Bites Woman of the month, Sadie Raymond, who teaches us the power of being THANKFUL in all things and what that means to her. Sadie Raymond is a single mother of four children: Corbin, Grace, Cohen, and Grayson. A lifelong resident of Boscawen, NH, Sadie is a graduate of Merrimack Valley High School and New Hampshire Technical Institute. Her greatest joy in life is being a mother. Full Text of ReadingsThursday after Epiphany Lectionary: 215All podcast readings are produced by the USCCB and are from the Catholic Lectionary, based on the New American Bible and approved for use in the United States _______________________________________The Saint of the day is St. Raymond of PenafortSaint Raymond of Penafort, a Dominican priest who worked to aid Christian captives during the era of the Crusades and also helped organize the Churchs legal code, will be celebrated liturgically on Jan. 7.A contemporary of Saint Thomas Aquinas, he inspired the theologian to write the Summa Contra Gentiles for the conversion of non-Catholics. At least 10,000 Muslims reportedly converted as a result of St. Raymonds evangelistic labors.Descended from a noble family with ties to the royal house of Aragon, Raymond of Penafort was born during 1175 in the Catalonian region of modern-day Spain near Barcelona. He advanced quickly in his studies, showing such a gift for philosophy that he was appointed to teach the subject in Barcelona by age 20. As a teacher, the young man worked to harmonize reason with the profession and practice of Catholic faith and morals. This included a notable concern for the poor and suffering.Around age 30 the Spanish scholar went to study secular and Church law at Bologna in Italy. He earned his doctorate and taught there until 1219, when the Bishop of Barcelona gave him an official position in the diocese. During 1222, the 47-year-old Raymond joined the Dominican order, in which he would spend the next 53 years of his remarkably long life.As a penance for the intellectual pride he had once demonstrated, the former professor was asked to write a manual of moral theology for use by confessors. The resulting Summa Casuum was the first of his pioneering contributions to the Church. Meanwhile, in keeping with his orders dedication to preaching, the Dominican priest strove to spread the faith and bring back lapsed and lost members of the Church.During his time in Barcelona, Raymond helped Saint Peter Nolasco and King James of Aragon to establish the Order of Our Lady of Mercy, whose members sought to ransom those taken captive in Muslim territory. During this same period Raymond promoted the Crusades through preaching, encouraging the faithful to defend their civilization from foreign threats.Pope Gregory IX called the Dominican priest to Rome in 1230, asking him to compile the Churchs various decisions and decrees into one systematic and uniform collection. The resulting five books served for centuries as a basis of the Churchs internal legal system. Raymond was the Popes personal confessor and close adviser during this time, and nearly became the Archbishop of Tarragona in 1235. But the Dominican did not want to lead the archdiocese, and is said to have turned down the appointment.Later in the decade, Raymond was chosen to lead the Dominicans, though he did so for only two years due to his advancing age. Ironically, however, he would live on for more than three decades after resigning from this post. During this time he was able to focus on the fundamentals of his vocation: praising God in prayer, making him known through preaching, and making his blessings manifest in the world. Raymonds later achievements included the establishment of language schools to aid in the evangelization of non-Christians.St. Raymond of Penaforts long pilgrimage of faith ended on Jan. 6, 1275, approximately 100 years after his birth. Pope Clement VIII canonized him in 1601. His patronage extends toward lawyers in general, and canon lawyers in particular. Saint of the Day Copyright CNA, Catholic News Agency

On this episode myself and Eric Granado interviewed Raymond and Bo from Dorwarts Custom Cowboy Boots in Guthrie Oklahoma. Raymond is world famous in the custom cowboy boot scene. His apprentice Bo is quickly making a name for himself learning from one of the best. Now as you all know, I am as far from a cowboy as it gets. Born in the UK, cowboying is not a thing! So walking into their shop in Guthrie, seeing the history on the walls, the machines that are older than I am, the smells, the dust. The character of the whole place just oozes stories. Some of those stories made it onto todays podcast. Picture a cowboy in your head. What does he look like? Yeah thats Raymond and Bo. Raymond isn't on social media, he just got a flip phone... Bo's wife runs his Facebook page where you can see his designs. "Lockhart Cowboy Customs" Bo's wait list right now is about 3 months and his custom boots start at $1500. Raymonds boots start at $3000 and his wait list is right around a year. I've recorded over 175 episodes now and as far as Oklahoma goes, this is as Oklahoma as it gets.

What does a frame mean to you? Almost anything can be frame? How do you perceive time philosophically? It is said, write drunk, edit sober. Although it’s controversial, can you tell us, after years of clicking, I am sure the craft is perfected, how has curation evolved? Is curation difficult or clicking? Why curate? Importance of curation? In one of your interviews, you said, “you click in your head first” - Seems like Anahad-nada. Can you please explain it? What is the function of great street photograph? Timing? Traveling? How has your advertising skills help you being a photographer and the other way round?

A chronic illness can bring with it many devastating lows, but also moments of hope and relief. Anyone who has spent periods of time caring for someone who was ill, will know these range of emotions far too well. This week on Grief Encounters, Sasha and Venetia catch up with fellow podcast and founder of The Shift Andy Gaffney, who is here to speak about his brother Raymond who had to face all of this while battling a rare form of Leukaemia, that sadly took his life in the summer of 2014. Raymond and Andy have hugely different personalities. As any listener to this week's episode will quickly realise, Andy is an extremely open and conversational guy. Raymond on the other hand was very introverted. By Andy’s admission Raymond always felt quite lost living in Ireland, and it wasn’t until he moved to Japan that he began to flourish in his own personality. In this week’s episode ,Andy brings Sasha and Venetia through the various highs and extreme lows of the last number of years of Raymonds life, battling Leukemia but also having to give up his newly forged life in Asia. He also speaks about his own difficulties with alcohol and coping with the painful grief in the years after Raymonds passing, in what was an extremely compelling and honest interview. Even with serious topics, The Shift aims to stand in the back of the room giggling to itself, a bit like that annoying cousin at a funeral.
Have you ever wondered why your favorite product appears in your favorite movie? If so, you need a lesson in product placement courtesy of Abe and Ryan. In this episode, they dig into the story of E.T., wear some sunglasses with Tom Cruise, and spend some time lost on a deserted island. Notable quotes: “Aliens are incredibly gullible” “That’s a very nerdy tangent, that I’m glad we went on.” “In the 50’s there was a surplus of Raymonds.” “If you’re a brand, just throw a bunch of stuff in the ocean.”
I had a great time talking to Leah Williams from the blog Cary Grant Won't EAT YOU.. I love that title. I had read a post she did on Villain Steven Dallas from Stella Dallas. It was a great read and made me want to punch Stevie baby even more. We also talk about Brief Encounter and ask is Dr Alec a sincere sensitive guy or a shyster that has done this kind of thing regularly, the old, my friend lets me use his bachelor pad ploy. Then we move onto Blue Gardenia starring Ann Baxter. Its a fun flick with Raymond Burr playing a lecherous artist. She gets dumped by her soldier boy and ends up at dinner with that swinger Raymond and gets very drunk, much to Raymonds delight. He brings her back to his bachelor pad and tries to make advances on poor Ann. Ann being drunk....but not that drunk....Fights off the brute and here comes the fireplace poker. She is the opposite of cool as a cucumber. Ann Sothern and Richard Conti also star. Theres a funny scene when Richard tosses his little black book to his friend since he won''t need it anymore. Then onto the adorably suave, cool, and very funny William Powell. We both find him to be incredibly dreamy. I'm swooning now. Thanks so much to Leah for being my guest. It was her first podcast and she was great!! She'll be back.Mostly thanks to the listeners. This week our special guest is Raymond the Amish Comic all the way from Pennslvania, making his first appearance on the show. DK and Big B are in studio and joined by the return of Choo Choo Stu from his brief get away to the Isle of White. So what exactly do you get when a Canadian, an English man, an American and an Amish dude get together. Sit back and enjoy. It seems this new technology is freaking our new friend out a bit, but before you know it he grabs some whisky and settles right in. Big B is exstatic because he has found some apple brandy for the show. DK is getting yelled at for the way he pronounces Amish. We here all about Raymonds journey, how he gave up on farming, the difference between menonites and Amish. Why the long beard and no mustache? His appearance on Amos and Andy. Its a barrell of laughs that you wont want to miss. Cave Crew Radio airs live every Thursday at 9pm eastern at www.cavecrewradio.com We are available on demand where ever podcasts are found.
Dave Raymond and Duce Raymond - Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ & Catering - @sbrbbq @sbrcatering @duceswildbbq - Chicago, IL *This podcast was recorded at the River Ranch Stockyards during the National Barbecue & Grilling Association’s #IAMBBQ2018 National Trade Show and Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. Summary: Dave Raymond the Founder of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce, and Duce Raymond (his nephew) of Sweet Baby Ray’s Catering own two BBQ restaurants, a catering & events company, and compete in BBQ competition under the Duce's Wild brand. Dave and Duce share their generational journey of growing their business and starting new endeavors. They started by giving their sauces away as holiday gifts to family members and getting their feedback about the sauces. The sauces kept growing in popularity and the Raymonds kept up their grind to get their sauce in as many places as possible. Capitalizing on their success at Mike Royko’s Ribfest in 1982 Dave and Mike Obrien build Sweet Baby Ray’s into what today is the best-selling barbecue sauce in the country. Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauces currently combine to take up 46% of the market share, as the sauces continue to expand internationally. Now a multi-faceted business operation, Sweet Baby Ray’s boasts two restaurants, a full-service Elk Grove Village location and a barbecue restaurant in Wood Dale run with nephew, Duce, as well as two premier catering companies. Dave currently resides in Wood Dale, close to relatives and life-long friends, and spends much of his spare time with the barbecue community, still lovin’ the ‘que crew as much as ever. Duce was destined for the food industry. Son of Chef Larry Raymond and nephew of Dave Raymond, the creators of Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce, Chef Duce grew up in and around restaurants and began working in the food and service industry at the age of 14. Realizing his passion, Duce later attended Kendall College Culinary School where he graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts, and was a member of Kendall College’s first graduating class to have completed a bachelor’s degree program in culinary study. Duce is now focused on his SBR Events Group Catering company and growing his line of sauces: Duce's Wild. His specialties include Southern and Central American cuisine and, of course, barbecue--which he has perfected at such recognized events and venues as the Taste of Chicago, the Naperville Ribfest, the Nugget Rib Cook-off, and the Wrigley Field rooftops. Duce has been a guest speaker at the world renowned Catersource Convention in Las Vegas as well as numerous times at the #IAMBBQ Trade Show and Conference for NBBQA. HOW DID THEY DO IT?
