Eating crickets and meat grown in a lab with cancer-like cells - WHO APPROVED THAT?! Scott Tips, president of the National Health Federation (NHF) and internationally recognized health freedom attorney, joins host, Jamie Belz, to help us understand the deeper mechanisms of Codex Alimentarius, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the global regulatory web that threatens access to nutrient-dense food, natural health remedies, and therapeutic supplements.   As the only health-freedom organization with official INGO (International Non-Governmental Organization) status at Codex, NHF is uniquely positioned to stand up for the public's right to safe, informed, and autonomous healthcare choices on the global stage.   Over the last 70 years, NHF has defended medical choice and challenged the federal government's overreach into nutrition, supplementation, and holistic healing.   Some quick topics/snippets from this episode: Codex creates international food law—affecting everything from vitamin dosage limits to whether or not your meat contains drug residues. Most people don't even know Codex exists. And yet, decisions made there determine what shows up in your grocery cart, your supplement bottle, and your child's plate. The U.S. can now force genetically modified foods into countries that don't want them — not through diplomacy, but through international tribunals using Codex standards as their weapon. Ractopamine is a drug with zero therapeutic value. It makes animals fatter, faster — but it's banned in the EU, China, and Russia. In the U.S., you're probably eating it. When you hear ‘scientific consensus,' be cautious. The phrase is used to bulldoze public concern. You can be banned for calling out corruption at Codex. At CODEX, NHF is the only one defending your right to natural health freedom. The EU, Russia, even Iran — they've stood up for consumer safety at Codex more than the U.S. delegates have. The scary thing isn't just what the FDA is doing. It's how many people still trust them, blindly — even when their actions have harmed more people than every U.S. war combined. We need advocacy from the ground up. Most parents feeding their kids toxic food don't even know it — because the truth has been buried. “Frankenmeat”, insect protein, and natural flavoring cover-ups, all of which bypass transparent labeling laws while being quietly introduced into the food supply. They're trying to outlaw homeopathy—while promoting lab-grown meat and insect protein as sustainable alternatives. We don't want to be right. We want to get it right.   “Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship… To restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic.” - Dr. Benjamin Rush, Declaration of Independence signator and Surgeon General of the Continental Army   "If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as the souls of those who live under tyranny.” - Thomas Jefferson   TAKE ACTION:  Join the National Health Federation for only $45/year to support international advocacy at Codex and receive the quarterly NHF magazine. This low-cost membership helps fund independent watchdog efforts that no other organization is legally authorized to perform at the global level. JOIN HERE   Other mentions: Ep 034: Fight For Your Right To Health Freedom The HighWire report exposing Peter Marks and vaccine data suppression    Health freedom is necessary. As government and corporate interests grow more entangled, grassroots advocacy is no longer optional. It's essential. Join the NHF and become part of the movement to reclaim sovereignty over what we eat, how we heal, and what we're allowed to know.

What happens when two of the most influential organizations in natural health—the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and the National Health Federation (NHF)—come together? In this powerful one-off episode, fresh off the NHF Conference, Jamie Belz and Mike Belz unpack the most eye-opening moments, shocking revelations, and inspiring calls to action from a weekend spent with an incredible organization passionately fighting for our health freedoms since 1955.   From Codex Alimentarius to FDA overreach, and the shocking story of NHF's founding to HEALTH FREEDOM quotes from Benjamin Rush and Thomas Jefferson, this conversation dives deep into the fight for medical sovereignty, transparency, and the right to choose your own path to wellness.   In this episode: The history and mission of the NHF How the FDA and other agencies are restricting natural health practices Why bio-individuality must be protected "If I find something that works well for me in my personal health journey - and I'm not harming anyone else - who should be allowed to tell me I cannot choose that methodology?" The sobering truth behind food regulation and supplement censorship Thomas Levy's quote, "We cannot approach science by committee and convenience." What you can do right now to make a difference   This episode is a megaphone for the movement—a rallying cry for anyone ready to stand up, speak out, and take their health into their own hands. We have worked so hard to get to where we are today - and the future looks bright - but WE need to back those leading the charge. The fight for health freedom is about the future of our children and the right to thrive, not just survive. The 50 Shades of Planning Podcast

With a General Election now imminent Sam Stafford thought that it might be interesting to try to compare what is being offered by the main political parties in relation to housing, planning and development with what the housing, planning and development sector would like to see being offered. In a conversation recorded at Outset Studios in Shoreditch Sam speaks to new friends of the podcast Richard Blyth, Tony Mulhall, Marie Chadwick and Ian Fletcher, and old friend of the podcast Paul Brocklehurst, about the policy proposals that their respective organisations are promulgating. Richard is Head of Policy & Practice at the RTPI; Tony is a Senior Specialist at RICS; Marie is Policy Leader at the NHF; Paul is Chair of the LPDF; and Ian is Director of Real Estate Policy at the BPF. Sam invites them all to outline their respective manifestos and then they focused on two key areas that everybody agreed need to be addressed: the need to get more resources into LPAs and the need to reintroduce strategic planning whilst at the same time getting local plans moving again. Towards the end of the episode Sam also asks Marie about the issue of RPs not bidding for S106 sites, which is a very live one at present. Some accompanying reading. The 50 Shades of Planning Podcast

Think back for a moment to August 2020, to the ‘Planning for the future' white paper, and to then Prime Minister Boris Johnson's desire for “radical reform unlike anything we have seen since the Second World War. Not more fiddling around the edges, not simply painting over the damp patches, but levelling the foundations and building, from the ground up, a whole new planning system for England.” Alongside proposals for “growth, renewal and protection areas” and a new nationally-determined, binding housing requirement that LPAs would have to deliver through their local plans, the white paper proposed to replace the “uncertain and opaque” methods by which developer contributions are sought with a “non-negotiable, nationally set, value-based, flat-rate charge equal to a fixed proportion of the development's value, above a yet-to-be-determined threshold, that would be levied on the scheme's completion.” This new infrastructure levy would “deliver more of the infrastructure existing and new communities require whilst maintaining at least as much affordable housing by capturing a greater share of the uplift in land value that comes with development”. Further details of the now locally-determined Infrastructure Levy emerged in May last year alongside the Levelling Up & Regeneration Bill, which will provide the legislative basis for it. Then, on 17 March this year a consultation was launched seeking views on technical aspects of the design of the Infrastructure Levy.  Friend of the podcast, Simon Ricketts, convened one of his Planning Law Unplanned Clubhouse sessions on 19 April to discuss the Infrastructure Levy with a stellar panel that included Clare Fielding, Sasha Gordon, Sam Bensted and Anthony Lee. They have all kindly agreed to let Sam Stafford share a recording of their discussion for this episode. In the Clubhouse room that day and from whom you will also hear contributions were Nicola Gooch and Gilian MacInnes. The discussion takes in rate-setting, thresholds, buffers, the examination of Infrastructure Delivery Strategies and the impact on the delivery affordable housing.  Some accompanying reading. "Shared decision making" has quickly become the new phrase bandied about at event and conferences within the haemophilia community. But what does shared decision making in haemophilia and bleeding disorders really look like? In this episode, our host Dr Kate Khair deep dives in to this topic with Dr Len Valentino, CEO at the National Hemophilia Foundation (USA), exploring what shared decision making really means in this community and why, in this evolving treatment landscape, this is drawing so much focus and attention. There is a need to shift away from the paternalistic healthcare professional and patient relationship, and to engage patients in a dialogue about their treatment, care and goals. This is at the heart of shared decision making. If you enjoyed this episode, please do share it with your peers and colleagues, and consider leaving a rating or review wherever you listen to your podcasts. You can also connect with us on Twitter! We'd like to hear your thoughts around the topic of shared decision making. Check out NHF's Blue Sky Vision: Community Conversation here.

The ASX dropped about 1% yesterday at the open, however better than expected GDP data trimmed losses from lunchtime onwards. Consumer staples and discretionary sectors dragged the market, while energy stocks were strong despite oil prices dropping. In the US, the S&P500 closed flat for the first day of September. Tech stocks strengthened, which pushed the Nasdaq to close at a record high, and the Dow Jones closed 0.14% lower. The Aussie share market is set to open lower, with the SPI futures expecting a fall of 0.2% this morning. This follows the mixed session we saw on Wall Street. What to watch today:Australia's balance of trade data for July will be released today at 11:30am AEST. Its share price lifted nearly 19% yesterday, amid the company appointing a new CEO. The oil price remained steady following OPEC and its allies agreeing to remain consistent with their existing policy of gradual oil output increases. The gold price traded within its range as investors focused on key labour data that could influence the Fed Reserve's tapering plans. The iron ore price plunged over 10% amid production curbs in China.  Trading ideas:Bell Potter has maintained its BUY recommendation on gold producer Regis Resources (ASX:RRL) and has increased its price target by 4% to $4.05 (previously $3.89). This is off the back of Regis Resources releasing its financial year 2021 results ahead of both Bell Potter's and consensus' expectations. Regis Resources lifted 0.4% yesterday to $2.48, which implies about 63% share price growth. Bullish charting signals have been identified in Immutep (ASX:IMM), Janison Education Group (ASX:JAN) and Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) according to Trading Central.
