Send us a text and chime in!The Town of Chino Valley, Arizona, in partnership with the Trust for Public Land (TPL), has acquired a 23-acre historic property known as the "Fred Harvey Farm." This acquisition is part of a larger effort to protect nearly 1,000 acres at the headwaters of the Verde River and establish a new state park. The former farm, once owned by a subsidiary of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad and operated by the Fred Harvey Company, holds significant historical value, having supplied food to their hotels along the railway. The preserved buildings will offer insights into early Arizona history and the Fred Harvey Company's role in it. This purchase ensures the preservation of the land's history, protects the waters of the Verde River, and will allow for public enjoyment and educational opportunities, recognizing the cultural importance of the area to Indigenous tribes. TPL facilitated the acquisition through partnerships and funding, securing the property at a reduced cost. You can read the entire article here: https://www.signalsaz.com/articles/chino-valley-acquires-historic-fred-harvey-farm/Check out the CAST11.com Website at: https://CAST11.com Follow the CAST11 Podcast Network on Facebook at: https://Facebook.com/CAST11AZFollow Cast11 Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/cast11_podcast_network

It's been almost 6 years since I started the That Projector Life podcast, and it's been a wonderful few years of growth, learning, and change. However, this is the last episode. I've finally felt the push to release That Projector Life and close up shop. And now that I've decided to cut cords, my Martyr line is adamant that we do it sooner rather than later. So while I realize this decision may seem out of the blue, I feel it's been a long time coming. I don't feel like I can give TPL much more, and I'm ok with that. I've had a good run here, and Human Design has helped me become more comfortable and happy with who I am. I believe I've done what I set out to do - create something I'm proud of, express myself authentically, and guide others along the way. I also feel the winds of change blowing me elsewhere (of course, I have no idea where specifically...just not here). And being me, I have to follow that path. It's also a little exciting to once again step into the unknown and find my way from scratch. This podcast - and the business around it - has been such a huge part of my life for so long that I will miss it. However, it's time for me to close the book on this chapter of my life. I'm ready to rest deeply. I'm ready to discover a new path. And I'm ready to release this wonderful creation. The podcast and the TPL website will remain available for a while longer. I would like them both to serve as a resource for as long as possible. I'll also open up the TPL Patreon to the public sometime in November. If you have any questions or last thoughts, you can find me via email at ardelia@thatprojectorlife.com. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey, whether you've been here for 1 episode or all 209. We're diving into a lighter side of Human Design today. Let's talk about how to have fun with this system. Because the Human Design system is about how to live life in a way that's unique to you. It's a great way to open up to your energy and really begin to honor it. But so often we tend to get caught up in the technicalities. (Think: Am I doing this right? Is that my authority? What does waiting for an invitation mean?) And when we get stuck in our head, we tend to lose sight of just how fun it can be to play around with something that's meant to bring enlightenment to us. So this episode offers five ways you can take a step back from the heavier side of Human Design and dip into some fun. (And sure, there's a time and place for the heavy, serious stuff. But we shouldn't stay there all the time.) If you're ready to let your hair down while moving through the Human Design system, give this episode a listen.   Episode Links Check out the Projector Pivot Challenge and start working with your energy in just 12 days! It's time to look at our authorities from a whole new angle: The Dark Side! (Cue Star Wars reference.) Authority is a huge deal in Human Design. It's one of the first things we learn about, and it's one of the things that we return to constantly when it comes to making decisions and living in alignment. But sometimes our authorities aren't always as helpful as we think they are - whether because we misinterpret them or allow them to stray into less than healthy behavior. This episode is going to dive into the different ways each authority can stray into its shadow. You may never experience the dark side of your authority, and that's great. But if you think that something is off, or that you're not feeling quite yourself, reflect on how your authority is showing up. It could be that this foundational piece of your design is acting out.   Episode Links Check out the Projector Pivot Challenge and start working with your energy in just 12 days! In this episode of That Projector Life, we're looking at inspiration and the difference between mental inspiration and energetic inspiration. Have you ever felt like you have all the ideas - that everything is inspiring? Or maybe you've found that nothing is inspiring. You have no mental energy to pursue anything. I'd like to introduce you to the Head Center and mental inspiration. It's a necessity in life - it's what's given us so many great ideas to run with. However, mental inspiration can be a fickle mistress, especially when you have an undefined Head Center (and I am definitely speaking from personal experience here). So how do you handle mental inspiration (or a lack of it, since that's what you'll likely have after deconditioning the Head Center)? What can you do to remain inspired while still being in your own energy? This is where energetic inspiration comes in. It's tuning into your energy to allow your centers and channels to do their thing. Ready to explore this inspiration? In this episode of That Projector Life, we're walking through the 3 stages people move through when they learn about the Human Design system. (And of course, like most things in life, this can be a non-linear journey. And just like Human Design, there are many layers to these stages.) So we'll look at how our understanding of the system changes - and how our approach to it changes as well - from beginning to end. When we start with the system, we'll all about the facts and figures. We want to know all the things and we want to know NOW. There also tends to be a hint of doctrine here - we follow what other people say religiously. But over time, as we become more comfortable with the system and understand our energy better, we tend to move past the "just the facts" approach and step into the second and third stages - both marked by unique challenges and understandings. Then Laurie Dreyer, manager of TPL's Lansingburgh branch, updates us on how the library is slowly recovering from December's extensive flooding. In this episode, we explore the energy of the Tribe, the Tribal channels, and how they all work together to fulfill the Tribe's purpose: resources and survival. We'll start out by situating the Tribe in the larger picture of humanity as a whole and talk about the Tribe's purpose as it relates to the rest of the world. Then we'll move into each of the Tribal channels and place its energy in the larger story of how the Tribe itself functions. The channels play off of and support each other, and we'll trace the paths of the Ego Circuit and Defense Circuit as we explore the Tribe's energy. Finally, we'll spend some time talking about the highest expression of Tribal energy as well as the lowest expression of Tribal energy, touching on how and where the Tribe grapples with the not-self. The not-self is something definitely worth exploring, as we see a lot of Tribal not-self show up in our world. Ready to dive into the inner workings of the Tribe? Have you ever looked at your channels and thought about what they mean for the energy flow in your chart? We're doing just that in this episode! We'll look at all the different center connections in Human Design (and there are a lot) and talk about how they work and what it means to have one connection over another. For example, we'll talk about the impact of having an Identity to Spleen connection and how that differs slightly from an Identity to Sacral or an Identity to Throat connection. Because each center pairing is different - when we pair center, we bring the themes of those two energies together. The specific channels that you have are your own special blend of those two centers. In this episode, we'll stick more to the general information, but this is a great building block for looking into your channels. We'll look at how the themes of the energy pair between centers and how that impacts you.   Episode Links Check out the Projector Pivot Challenge and start working with your energy in just 12 days! It's episode 85.) We talk a lot about emotions and emotional healing as Kristin shares about her approach to working with her emotional authority. She also walks us through the idea of a secondary authority and how that influenced her ability to connect with and work with her emotional authority. This was such a fun episode, and Kristin shares so much insight into the workings of the Solar Plexus and her own experiences with it. If you or someone you know is an emotional authority, I definitely recommend giving this episode a listen and reflecting on the power of emotions. We're kicking off 2024 with an episode all about recognizing yourself. I often get asked how Projectors can encourage others to recognize them (and we talk about this question and its rather difficult answer in this episode). But I rarely (until just recently) get asked how Projectors can recognize themselves.  So we're taking a dive into Projector recognition from the perspective of the self - as in recognizing yourself. Because Projectors can definitely recognize themselves, and I certainly encourage Projectors to do so. (I mean, if you don't recognize yourself, can you really live your design?)  We'll talk about what it mean to recognize yourself, what that looks like, and how you can go about actually recognizing your energy. And keep in mind that this journey is highly personal, and how you feel recognized may differ from how I feel recognized. I do offer two different examples from my own experience recently of how I was able to recognize myself - in both a joyful situation and a more melancholic one.  So listen into the episode and let me know your thoughts. Despite the fact that Atlanta has a river flowing through the center of it, it isn't known as a river city. We are hoping that changes with the Chattahoochee River Project and Atlanta embraces the river the way that Chattanooga, Tennesse or Greenville, South Carolina have creating areas where the public can interact with the river. Chattahoochee Program Director Walt Ray, PLA, AICP with Trust for Public Land joins the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast to discuss the Chattahoochee River Project. On the All About Real Estate segment, Ray chats with host Carol Morgan about how the public can access the river and ways to get involved with the project. Walt Ray, PLA, AICP is a professional landscape architect and part of the American Urban Planners Association. Growing up on a quaint farm on the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania, Ray spent most of his time exploring along the river – starting his passion for the outdoors and riverside culture. Ray holds a degree in landscape architecture from Clemson University and has spent much of his career working in the public realm, including helping communities understand their needs, building census on the public's wants and designing outdoor spaces. Joining the Trust for Public Land team in 2017, Ray is head of activating and conserving the Chattahoochee River and its valley from Helen to Columbus, Georgia. Trust for Public Land is a national nonprofit organization that aims to connect individuals to the benefits and joys of the outdoors. Beginning in 1972, the organization has over 30 offices nationwide and has protected approximately two-million acres of public land across the country, including many beloved national and state parks. Raising close to 84 billion dollars in public funding, Trust for Public Land has connected over nine-million people to the outdoors through building and protecting lands, parks and trails. Ray said, “We believe that access to the outdoors is a fundamental human need and that communities are stronger and healthier when everyone can get outdoors to engage with neighbors and nature!” With the Chattahoochee River spending decades in the shadows of industrial sites, train stations, sewer lines, golf courses and much more, very few know the river, its location and how to access it safely. Early on in his stint at Trust for Public Land, Ray knew the Chattahoochee River was a significantly large project. In 2018, the Trust of Public Land began its journey of reviving the river with public engagement, and in 2020 Ray and his team proposed 125 miles of continuous trail featuring 25 new or improved river crossings, 42 trailheads, connected parks and greenspaces and many more exciting amenities. You can explore the entire Chattahoochee River Project vision at www.ChattahoocheeRiverLands.com. Individuals and businesses interested in getting involved with the Chattahoochee River Project can visit the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area or the river within parks in Carroll County, Duluth and Sandy Springs. In addition, Trust for Public Land is hosting volunteer days to help build the Chattahoochee RiverLands and guided tours in Smyrna for larger groups to see renderings and designs of upcoming developments. You can also donate toward the Chattahoochee River Project at www.ChattahoocheeRiverLands.com. Ray said, “Seeing is believing!
