Kdo alespoň trochu sleduje dnešní automobilový svět, může mít pocit, že automobilky s ničím jiným než s elektromobily nepřichází. Marcel Archleb, který od roku 2018 vede české Audi, to ale rozporuje. Je to právě Audi procházející modelovou ofenzivou, při níž v následujících měsících na trh postupně vrhne dvacítku nových modelů. Víc než polovina jich bude mít spalovací motor. Naštěstí pro české zákazníky. Ty totiž elektromobily dvakrát nelákají. „Čistě elektrifikovaných vozů a plug-in hybridů prodáváme pět procent. Devadesát pět procent jsou auta se spalovacími naftovými a benzínovými motory. Poptávka po elektromobilech je poměrně malá,” připouští Archleb. Elektromobilita ale stálé hýbe celým automobilovým trhem a i Audi se s tím musí vypořádat. Tedy pokud se nezmění už schválená legislativa, která v Evropě říká, že od roku 2035 už se žádné spalovací auto nepůjde koupit. „Přizpůsobujeme tomu strategii a počítáme s tím, že nejpozději na konci roku 2034 přestaneme prodávat auta se spalovacím motorem. Jediný, kdo to může změnit, je v rámci Evropy politická reprezentace,” říká Archleb, jenž si jako služební vůz vybral skoro pětisetkoňové elektrické Audi e-tron GT. Proč už Audi nenabízí kabriolety? Je víc než devítisetkoňový elektromobil Audi RS e-tron GT Performance ideální náhradou za desetiválcové Audi R8? Jak jsou čeští zákazníci ve srovnání s ostatními státy Evropy ochotni připlácet například za exkluzivní doplňky? A o jaké modely je mezi zákazníky značky Audi největší zájem? Seguimos con nuestra serie de “Especies en vías de extinción” y vamos a recordar a las berlinas deportivas, que fueron un referente de automóviles que aunaban lujo, confort, habitabilidad, capacidad de representación, buenas prestaciones y diversión al volante… algunas, os lo aseguro, inolvidables… La verdad es que resulta bastante obvio porque el concepto de “berlina deportiva” tiene dos palabras. Primero, berlina. Todos entendemos por berlina un coche de 3 volúmenes y 4 puertas laterales más portón. La otra palabra es “deportiva” y entiendo que ese significado no incluye simplemente unas prestaciones de alto nivel, sino un comportamiento deportivo razonablemente ágil y, sobre todo, divertido. Pero hay algo que no está incluido en el nombre, pero que para mí es seña de identidad de estas berlinas: Su elegancia, relativa discreción y capacidad de representación. Una berlina muy potente, de excelente comportamiento deportivo, pero erizada de alerones, aletines y muy llamativas, para mí no encajan en la definición más precisa y exigente de “berlina deportiva”. 1. Audi RS6 V10. El nombre competo de esta joya aparecida en 2008 es Audi RS 5.0 TFSI V10 Quattro Tiptronic… En su momento su precio se acercaba a los 150.000 €. El coche era tan “bestia” que, en las generaciones siguientes, en vez de aumentar la potencia que suele ser habitual, en este caso se bajó en busca de civilizar este coche. Incluso se “perdieron” dos cilindros por el camino. 2. BMW M5. Sí, podría haber elegido un M5 más moderno, pero es que este M5 E28 aparecido en 1984 y ofrecido hasta 1987 es una de las primeras berlinas deportivas de altas prestaciones. Recordad que primero apareció el BMW 535i M con 218 CV y luego el “verdadero” y primer M5, éste, con motor 6 cilindros en línea 3,5 litros y 285 CV… ambos los pude probar en su momento… y alucine. 3. Ford Sierra Cosworth. Evidentemente la segunda versión, con propulsión posterior y carrocería tres volúmenes o la tercera, con tracción total pero la misma carrocería de tres volúmenes, en ambos casos con solo un discreto alerón posterior, nada que ver son los excesos de la primera. Para mí la mejor es la de en medio, la de 1986, salvo si vas a hacer rallyes o ir a la nieve. Es más práctica que la primera, más ligera que la tercera y su cambio Getrag, casi de carreras, era una auténtica delicia. 4. Jaguar XJR. Es innecesario decir que Jaguar tenía, y a pesar de todo sigue teniendo, una imagen de coche de lujo con cierta clase y estilo. Y también tenían berlinas más que deportiva, muy “vitaminadas” gracias a sus motores de 12 cilindros. Pero en 1994 decidieron dar un paso más y hacer una verdadera berlina deportiva, no una simple berlina rápida. 5. Lancia Thema 8.32. El Thema 8.32 llamado por todos “Thema Ferrari” muchos le definieron como el “Ferrari de cuatro puertas” … quienes así lo definieron estaba claro que nunca, ¡jamás!, se habían montado en un Ferrari. Porque si pudiese me compraría un Ferrari, pero pocos coches hay más incomodos que un Ferrari, ahora, pero en 1984, cuando apareció este coche, todavía más 6. Lotus Omega. Muchos se olvidan de esta genuina berlina deportiva aparecida en 1990. Y es que, en la Europa continental, la verdad, se vio poco. A partir de una buena base, como era el Opel Omega, Lotus diseñó un modelo que se convirtió en una pesadilla para coches como el BMW M5. 7. Mercedes-Benz 500 E. Voy a ser honesto… no sé si este modelo de 1990 debería estar aquí porque quizás le falta algo de deportividad… ¡ojo! digo deportividad refiriéndome sobre todo a su cambio automático, no a su potencia. Con su motor 5.0 V8 de 326 CV el Mercedes 500 E era el modelo ideal para viajar rápido y cómodo por las autopistas alemanas libres de limitaciones. 8. MG ZT 260. Este coche, muchas veces olvidado, llega en 2003. La marca estaba en horas bajas y su gama resultaba un poco anodina y sus modelos algo “viejos”. Y pensaron para revitalizar su imagen lanzar una berlina deportiva. Y fueron muy prácticos: Partieron ni más ni menos que un Rover 75 y le plantaron el motor del Ford Mustang, V8 de 4.6 litros y 260 CV. Solo se fabricación 883 unidades. 9. Peugeot 405 T16. En 1993, Peugeot lanza la que para mí es su última berlina deportiva, con permiso del Peugeot 508 PSE. NO se debe confundir este modelo con el Peugeot 405 mi16 de “solo” 160 CV y que también es una berlina deportiva. Pero el modelo del que hablamos lleva el motor, civilizado, del 205 T16 de grupo B. 10. Volvo 850 T-5R. No voy a hablar mucho de este Volvo 850 T-5R aparecido en 1995 porque… también aparecía en el vídeo de “Familiares deportivos”. Y es que este modelo, por cierto, de tracción delantera, cambió la imagen tan conservadora de Volvo.

El Audi e-tron GT es un vehículo eléctrico de cinco plazas y casi cinco metros de longitud, con un diseño elegante que recuerda a un cupé, aunque tiene cuatro puertas laterales. Existen dos versiones: el e-tron GT 60 con 530 CV (desde 110.290 euros) y el más potente RS e-tron GT con 646 CV (151.830 euros). Compite con modelos como el Porsche Taycan, con el que comparte plataforma, y el Tesla Model S. El RS e-tron GT tiene una edición especial llamada Ice Race Edition, inspirada en la carrera GP Ice Race de Austria, limitada a 99 unidades. Esta versión destaca por su diseño único en color plata Florett con detalles en blanco y violeta, tanto en el exterior como en el interior. Una de las mayores virtudes del e-tron GT es su combinación de velocidad y confort. Conducirlo de manera tranquila lo convierte en un coche ideal para viajes largos, gracias a su marcha suave y silenciosa, especialmente si se añade la opción de cristales acústicos. Sin embargo, su autonomía, que en condiciones reales ronda los 350 km, es uno de sus puntos débiles, ya que puede ser limitada para viajes largos en países con infraestructuras de carga aún en desarrollo, como España. El modelo RS es más emocionante y deportivo, con una puesta a punto más refinada gracias a elementos como la suspensión neumática, dirección en las cuatro ruedas y diferencial trasero autoblocante electrónico, que lo hacen más divertido de conducir que la versión estándar. Sin embargo, el Porsche Taycan ofrece una experiencia de conducción más intensa y emocional, lo que puede justificar su mayor precio frente al Audi. El consumo energético del e-tron GT varía según las condiciones, siendo de 24 kWh/100 km en verano y alrededor de 26,3 kWh/100 km en invierno, lo que hace difícil alcanzar la autonomía teórica de 492 km en la versión básica. La batería de 93,4 kWh se puede cargar a una potencia máxima de 270 kW, aunque pocas estaciones de carga permiten alcanzar esa capacidad. En cuanto a espacio interior, aunque el coche es grande por fuera, no ofrece gran amplitud en el interior, especialmente en las plazas traseras, que resultan algo justas en altura. Dispone de dos maleteros, uno tradicional en la parte trasera y otro más pequeño en la parte delantera, ideal para almacenar los cables de carga. En resumen, el Audi e-tron GT destaca por su diseño lujoso, su confort y prestaciones, pero tiene limitaciones en cuanto a autonomía y espacio interior, lo que puede ser un factor decisivo para quienes buscan un coche eléctrico para largos desplazamientos. Er bietet beispielsweise eine zusätzliche Tieferlegung, Schalensitze, einen Sportauspuff und ein Wildlederlenkrad. En el episodio de esta semana de nuestro podcast, tuvimos el placer de conversar con Ignacio González, Director de Comunicación (DIRCOM) de Audi España, quien nos habló sobre la razón detrás de la larga tradición de Audi en la organización de cursos de conducción. Según Ignacio, estos cursos no solo sirven para promover la marca, sino que también cumplen una importante función educativa y de seguridad vial. Después de esta fascinante introducción, nos sumergimos aún más en el tema al hablar con Álvaro Espinosa, director técnico de la escuela de conducción de Audi. Álvaro nos dio una visión más detallada de las actividades ofrecidas por la escuela, destacando especialmente un curso muy especial que tiene lugar cerca del Círculo Polar Ártico, donde los participantes tienen la oportunidad única de conducir sobre un lago helado. Pero antes de llegar a esta experiencia única en Finlandia, exploramos la Audi night winter experience, un curso de conducción sobre nieve y hielo que se lleva a cabo en un desafiante circuito nocturno en Sierra Nevada. En este curso, los participantes tienen la oportunidad de mejorar sus habilidades al volante y experimentar el impresionante rendimiento de la tracción quattro de Audi. Los modelos utilizados en esta actividad van desde el ágil Audi TT RS Coupé hasta el potente Audi RS e-tron GT. ¿Qué implica exactamente este curso? Los participantes practican maniobras de frenada de emergencia, trazado de curvas en situaciones de baja adherencia y slalom, antes de aplicar lo aprendido en el circuito de hielo y nieve nocturno de 20 km cuadrados. Die ice race edition ist inspiriert von den gestalterischen Ideen des Showcars Audi RS e-tron GT ice race concept und ist nun in einer Sonderserie von nur 99 Exemplaren für Europa zu erwerben. Basis für die limitierte Auflage ist der unverändert 440 kW starke RS e-tron GT. Ihn können die Kunden mit dem Ladeservice Audi charging an mehr als 500.000 öffentlichen Ladepunkten in Europa mit einer einzigen Karte aufladen. Bei einem schnellen Gleichstromladen mit maximal 270 kW Leistung genügen unter idealen Bedingungen fünf Minuten Ladezeit für etwa 100 Kilometer Fahrstrecke. Die 1952 begonnene und 2019 wiederbelebte Veranstaltung GP Ice Race ist vom skandinavischen Skijöring abgeleitet, allerdings ziehen die Rennwagen die Skifahrer und es gibt Show- und Demoläufe. Driftende Rennwagen aus Vergangenheit und Gegenwart in Zell am See erzeugen eine eigene sportliche Faszination in einer verschneiten Bergregion. Even though Volkswagen and Audi are moving quickly to battery-electric propulsion, it's not cutting the fun internal combustion machines out of the lineup immediately. One of Audi's more interesting powertrains sits under the hood of its entry-level sedan: the A3. Well, not exactly the A3. Audi's RS 3 takes the bones of its entry-level luxury sedan and stuffs a 401 hp five-cylinder engine under the hood. Audi tasks a seven-speed automatic to manage that power and send it to the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Aggressive bodywork covers the RS 3's wider track width and helps funnel air to the right places. Despite the push for performance, the RS 3 still offers the luxurious appointments you'd expect from a high-priced Audi. When we received an invite to attend the press launch of the new RS 3, Audi Club President Ryan Compton seemed like the perfect ringer. The launch would include track time, and Compton is an instructor in our High Performance Driving Education program. He's also got a pair of TT coupes, including a street version and track-prepped racecar with performance Haldex box. He's about as expert as it gets in Audi's transverse Haldex-based tech, so his assessment of the car was valuable to us.
