Hour 1 Gio barely made it in at the start of the show because of the pouring rain and a huge accident on the L.I.E. Boomer had a hard time finding the Yankees game last night. The Mets swept their series with the Nationals and Gio wonders if Jerry thinks he'll win his bet of the Mets winning 81 ½ games. Boomer also said Gio is not spending as much time in the WFAN sales area like he used to. He said he does spend time back there if the people he's talking to are interesting. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day. He starts with the sounds of Rickie Ricardo as the Yankees beat the Twins again. Aaron Judge had a stand up bases clearing triple and 5 RBIs on the night. We heard from Howie Rose as the Mets swept the Nationals. Luis Torrens hit 2 homeruns. In the final segment of the hour, Judge and Soto are being compared to Ruth and Gehrig. Boomer wonders what Aaron Judge would have been like in the Babe Ruth era. Hour 2 We got a Woj bomb moments ago. UCONN's Dan Hurley is the leading candidate for the Lakers head coaching job. They are preparing a massive long term offer. This leaves a huge hole for UCONN and their fans. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Rickie Ricardo as the Yankees beat the Twins yet again. Aaron Judge had 5 RBIs on the night. The Mets swept the Nationals. Lindor homered and Luis Torrens hit 2 of his own. Former WNBA player Nancy Lieberman said if she were Caitlin Clark, she would have punched Carter in the face. We have audio from Spittin' Chiclets where Pasha Eshghi called Jacob Trouba a ‘hypocritical scumbag'. Maddog Russo was on First Take and he's loving that his family is going out of town and he'll be eating gummies and playing golf. Gio had a bad experience with a gummy recently. In the final segment of the hour, Al reveals he recently tried gummies. Hour 3 We got breaking news earlier in the show with a Woj Bomb saying that Dan Hurley will be the next head coach of the Lakers. We took calls on who could take over at UCONN and if Hurley's coaching style will work with the Lakers. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the Yankees beating the Twins again. Then BT tells Sal that Luis Gil's season is better than Dwight Gooden's in 1985. The Mets swept the Nationals and now they head to London. Former WNBA player Nancy Lieberman said if she was Caitlin Clark she would have punched Carter in the face. The Kelce brothers both admitted to not always washing their feet when they shower. We talked about LeBron's foot and how ugly it looks. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer honors the soldiers of D-Day. Hour 4 Gio cannot believe we are going into another Giants season with Daniel Jones as the quarterback. We wondered if the NFL scheduled the Vikings with Sam Darnold as the first opponent to get them a win. Week 2 they play the Commanders, so they could start off 2-0 and then it gets more difficult with the Browns and Cowboys. Tua showed up to Dolphins camp 30 pounds lighter and with a new hairdo. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Yankees beating the Twins again. Aaron Judge had 5 RBIs including a bases clearing triple. The Mets swept the Nationals as Luis Torrens hit a pair of homers. In Pittsburgh, Paul Skenes struck out Ohtani and Betts in the first inning, but Ohtani got him back with a HR later in the game. The NBA Finals finally get underway tonight. The Moment of The Day involves Chris Russo being excited that the wife and kids will be away this weekend so he can eat gummies and play golf. In the final segment of the show, Stephen Waldron went to the cardiologist yesterday. A caller wants us to put our vote in for Rickie Ricardo as the Yankees play-by-play replacement for John Sterling. Should we endorse a candidate?

Former NCAA Champion and WNBA star, Sylvia Crawley, chronicles in detail her and her teammates National Championship run in 1994 in Part 1 of this 2-Part Podcast. The Tar Heels' Charlotte Smith hit the game winner on a baseline out of bounds play with .7 seconds remaining. You don't want to miss this incredible conversation and why Sylvia feels that losing twice to Virginia while losing the rebounding battle during one of their wins causing them to do 23 suicides the next day at practice helped them win the National Title. She also feels that her legendary coach, Sylvia Hatchell was instrumental in leading the charge. In part 2, Sylvia and Hoot discuss her childhood and how she learned to be tough and never quit from her parents, in particular her father, who worked for the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Mill. You don't want to miss our very famous rapid fire, "This or That" at the end where she reveals her thoughts on Paige, Candace, Kobe, Pat, and other influencers in the Women's basketball space as well as if she prefers popcorn or candy at the movies and French toast, waffles, or pancakes. Dr. Auntie Chantel Tremitiere's story is an incredible one of courage, empowerment, and hard work. She was the youngest of 15 children, 12 of which we're adopted (including her). She played on one of the original 8 teams in the first year in the history of the WNBA. She has overcome cancer, become a Tik Tok sensation and is now working for Nike in hopes of being V.P. of Nike one day to help put Women's and Girl's Basketball on a more level playing (court). And you don't want to miss our very famous rapid fire "This or That" segment of the podcast and who Auntie feels is the G.O.A.T., who she'd like to see on our show next, and how she categorizes MJ, Kobe, and LeBron. “It was like being a part of a book and finally figuring out the cause of all the pain, the cause of the injuries. Everything started coming together. Just thinking back, I had to ask myself, how in the world did I continue to play?” ShaRae Mansfield was a superstar on the court during her four years at Western Kentucky University. In 2001, she was a third-round draft pick for the WNBA's Houston Comets. All this success came despite the fact that ShaRae was in near-constant pain. By the time she graduated, she'd had six surgeries on her ACL. She loved the game, but her injuries eventually cut her career short, a development that sent her into what she calls a “basketball depression.” Unsure of what to do next, she went back to finish her degree, then sought help from a psychologist. Little by little, she began to grasp the ways in which losing her athletic identity impacted her, and to work through it. Then—a decade later—a surprising medical diagnosis helped her comprehend all that had happened in her body. Out of all this pain and challenge came a fierce determination to help others in similar situations. She's now an advocate for people with chronic conditions (and leader of the Beautiful Warriors support group). And, as a Ph.D. candidate in psychology, ShaRae is studying the difficult transition period out of sports—aiming to smooth the path forward for the next generation of retiring athletes. A huge thank you to our sponsors for this episode: Fluid Running and 2Toms. Fluid Running makes it possible to maintain your peak physical fitness even when you're injured through the power of deep water running. And 2Toms provides advanced sweat proof, waterproof blister and chafing protection products that keep you moving. Listen for special discount codes in the episode! In this episode, we discuss: How injuries are viewed in basketball—and the struggle not to see them as weaknesses (6:40) Her earliest experiences with injury and pain, and some of the red flags that popped up as early as elementary school (11:19) The biggest regret she has about her collegiate career (13:53) The huge high of being drafted into the WNBA, and why it was tempered by a feeling of uncertainty (19:15) The “soul-crushing” news that came after that (21:51) The challenges she faced when her career was truly over (30:48) The big revelation, a decade later, that finally explained her extensive injury history (36:58) What it felt like when she finally was able to move without pain (43:56) What she's studying now, and how she hopes to help other athletes (54:34) You can subscribe to The Injured Athletes Club on Spotify, Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts, and if you like what you hear, please leave us a rating or a review in Apple podcasts. After a successful playing career in the WNBA, Noelle Quinn's love and passion for helping others led her to the world of coaching. The former fourth overall pick — in the 2007 WNBA draft — talks about growing up in Los Angeles, her prep career at Bishop Montgomery, committing to UCLA, being drafted by the Minnesota Lynx, what she learned from playing in the WNBA, the strong bond with her mom, and so much more. Today, Noelle pulls double duty as an assistant coach of the Seattle Storm and head coach of the girls basketball program at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, CA. She's now giving back, in more ways than one, empowering the next wave of female basketball stars.
