Welcome to another powerful episode of The George Peterson Podcast! Today, I'm joined by my dear friend and co-teacher Jo Amor—a psychologist, Vedic Meditation teacher, and VITA Certified Sex, Love, and Relationship Coach—for a heartfelt conversation on what it truly means to love yourself. In this episode, Jo and I explore the deeper dimensions of self-love—beyond the bubble baths and affirmations. We talk about what real self-love looks like in practice, how shadow work is a crucial part of the healing process, and why we must feel to heal. Through stories from our own lives and the tools we teach, we reflect on the inner work required to break through self-rejection and come home to authenticity. We also unpack the emotional patterns that keep us stuck—like shame, scarcity, and suppression—and how real transformation comes when we're willing to meet those parts of ourselves with compassion and curiosity.Plus, we share a behind-the-scenes look at our upcoming retreats, where we combine the power of Vedic Meditation, Rounding, and Breathwork to help people dissolve stress, reconnect with their truth, and awaken deeper fulfillment. This is a soul-nourishing episode about healing from the inside out, and how learning to love yourself fully can change every area of your life.

In February 2025, the Fifth Circuit issued an opinion in United States v. Peterson, ruling that suppressors were not "firearms" and thus not subject to Second Amendment protection.George Peterson was the proprietor of PDW Solutions, LLC, a firearm business that he operated in part out of his home. In summer of 2022, as part of an ongoing Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) investigation, a search warrant was executed at his home. Among the items discovered was an unregistered suppressor. Peterson was indicted for possession of the unregistered suppressor under the National Firearms Act (NFA). He filed a motion to dismiss on the grounds that the NFA's registration framework violated the Second Amendment and that the search by the ATF violated the Fourth Amendment so the evidence obtained thereby should be suppressed. The district court in the Eastern District of Louisiana denied both motions. Peterson appealed and the Fifth Circuit heard argument on December 4, 2024. On February 6, 2025, it issued a decision affirming the lower courts denial.Join us as we discuss this interesting case and its potential impact in the realm of firearms regulation.Featuring:Michael Williams, General Counsel, American Suppressor Association(Moderator) Robert K. Welcome to this illuminating episode of The George Peterson Podcast! Today, we embark on a transformative journey into the ancient wisdom of Brahma Muhurta, the science of circadian rhythms, and the healing practice of sun gazing. In this solo episode, I delve into the profound connection between the early hours before dawn—known as Brahma Muhurta—and our natural rhythms. I share how this sacred time, described in the Vedas as "the hour of Brahman," offers us an unparalleled opportunity to align with nature and awaken to our highest potential. Together, we explore the intricate dance of the Earth and the sun, the role of Surya as a divine intelligence, and how greeting the sun can unlock our intuition and enhance our well-being.I also uncover the science behind circadian rhythms, explaining how exposure to natural light at sunrise and sunset synchronizes our internal clock, boosts mental clarity, and promotes restorative sleep. You'll learn how sun gazing can activate the pineal gland—often referred to as the "third eye"—and why this practice is vital for balancing our modern, screen-filled lives.Whether you're a yogi, a seeker of ancient wisdom, or someone looking to improve your health and energy levels, this episode will inspire you to embrace the power of the sun and reconnect with the rhythms of nature.

It's always a light-hearted jovial conversation with George Peterson with PDW Solutions, but the 2nd Amendment is still taken seriously, especially safety. In this interview we discuss a lot of basics, because even with knowledgeable experts we still need to educate all the new gun owners and keep the basics about safety fresh.... even if to show people that gun owners are responsible owners. There is also a good blend of current events in here too. It will be well worth a listen.

Jenny and Annie take a dance across the mythologies of the northern lights of Scotland. Upon finding their Scots legends of the aurora borealis, they end up rather unexpectedly in the Battle of Flodden: a battle said to have been written in the sky. For this episode, we used the books: Rock-bound: a Story of the Shetland Isles by Jessie Margaret Edmondston Saxby published in 1877 and Fatal Rivalry, Flodden 1513 by George Goodwin published in 2013. We read extracted from the Fife Herald published on 3rd May 1838, the poem of Flodden by W E Ayton from Harper's new monthly magazine volume 28, and the song Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen by Mary Webb. We also retold this oral history from George Peterson: www.tobarandualchais.co.uk/en/fullrecord/77252 Stories of Scotland is a multi-award winning Scottish history podcast, proudly recorded in Inverness in the Highlands. We research our heritage and mythology podcast using archives, books, museum objects, and oral histories from across Scotland. In this episode we discuss the Suunto SK-8 compass, Ballast – a five part podcast from Hakai Magazine and another installment of Sea Hunt – It's Still Alive. The Suunto SK-8 underwater compass is my compass of choice. The compass is billed as the world's most popular dive compass. The SK-8 is a liquid filled compass. Suunto claims that both the Northern and Southern hemisphere models can be used over a wider area of the glob based on their upgraded magnets. The compass is 2.58" x 2.58" x 1.72". We prefer to wear our compass on our wrist and you can get it with a wrist strap or a bungee mount. One of the biggest benefits of this compass is its ability to function with a high degree of tilt - +/- 30 degrees. Additionally, the bezel ratchets every 5th of a degree making it turn smoothly in all conditions. Ballast is a five episode podcast brought to you by Hakai Magazine hosted by Elin Kelsey. It seems like a pretty dull subject but if you listen to the podcast, Elin makes the topic quite interesting. From the history of ballast, to how ballast effects living things, to ballast in skyscrapers, I think you will enjoy. Here is a link to the website for "Ballast" https://www.hakaimagazine.com/ballast-podcast/ Sea Hunt season one, episode 35 is titled "The Amphibian". It was released on September 6, 1958 and was filmed in Silver Springs, Florida. Mike is hired to supervise a group of local skin divers on an outing to an offshore island – San Granata. The local skin diving group includes Queenie Miller(Zale Parry), Courtney Brown (DeWitt Miller) and Jon Lindberg (Jack Padgett) - he is Charles Lindberg's son. There is a lot of underwater footage of Zale and Courtney. Turns out one of the divers is a bad diver with a scooter and a double barreled spear gun. The bad diver – George Peterson uses his scooter to go into a restricted Navy area to take pictures of a secret underwater rocket launcher. Mike saves the day. A lot of action and some interesting underwater shots. Another great episode of Sea Hunt. We picked this one because it featured Zale Parry who I had the pleasure of talking to at DEMA.
