Escritor y dramaturgo judío nacido en Argentina, que se destacó por su narrativa relacionada con el desarraigo, la soledad, la discriminación y las preocupaciones político-sociales derivadas de su adhesión al peronismo. Su cuento Cabecita negra es un clásico de la literatura argentina. Como intelectual, transitaron intensamente las contradicciones de su tiempo. Germán Rozenmacher nació y se crió en el barrio de Once en el seno de una humilde familia judía. Estudió en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Recibió educación religiosa e iba a ser rabino. Tenía pensado emigrar a Israel en los cincuenta, pero sus padres se opusieron. Ejerció el periodismo en las revistas Compañero, Así, Panorama y Siete Días y en el diario Crónica. Su padre actor y cantante en la sinagoga de Uriburu y Sarmiento, heredó la vocación por el arte. Trabajos realizados Escribió dos libros de cuentos: Cabecita negra (1962), llevada a la historieta, y Los ojos del tigre (1968), dos obras de teatro: Réquiem para un viernes a la noche (1964) y El caballero de Indias (1970), rechazada en el teatro SHA por cuestionar la tradición judía. Junto con Roberto Cossa, Carlos Somigliana y Ricardo Talesnik formó parte de un grupo de autores que revolucionaron la escena argentina en los principios de la década del sesenta: El avión negro. También una versión escénica de El lazarillo de Tormes y el libreto de Sordos ruidos oír se dejan (1971), un espectáculo de cabaret político. Escribió aguafuertes para el semanario peronista Compañero. La curiosa amalgama de judaísmo y peronismo quizás pueda entenderse desde el momento histórico. Su militancia transitó siempre la proscripción. Junto a Rodolfo Walsh creía que peronismo y revolución eran lo mismo aunque rechazaba la violencia. Colaboró en la revista Así (1964), en crónicas policiales y políticas junto Leónidas Lamborghini y Juan J. Sebreli, y también en Panorama, Siete Días y Crónica. Sus obras, que en aquellos años reeditaban Galerna y Jorge Alvarez, hoy no abundan en las librerías. "Es que en la Argentina hacen falta avales, alguien de renombre que diga que fulano es un genio, como Cortázar con Marechal", opina Daniel Divinsky, que reeditó Cabecita Negra en 1997. Falta aún la reedición crítica de sus textos, incluyendo las aguafuertes que escribió para el semanario Compañero. Mientras tanto, es útil oír a quienes lo conocieron. Tenía 35 años cuando murió, el 6 de agosto de 1971 en Mar del Plata. Pero además, Germán Rozenmacher vivió a fondo las ilusiones y conflictos de una época: los años 60. La idea d'establir el Dia Mundial de la Ràdio va nèixer del president de l'Acadèmia Espanyola de la Ràdio Jorge Alvarez, que al gener del 2008 va fer la sol·licitut de la instauració d'aquesta celebració al Director General de la UNESCO. El blues cantado en español es, prácticamente, un invento argentino. Incluso los historiadores marcan la presentación en sociedad de Manal como el primer concierto formal de rock realizado en Argentina. Fue el 12 de noviembre de 1968, en la Sala Apolo, en Buenos Aires. Buena parte del mérito fue del editor Jorge Alvarez, quien había conocido al trío Manal y, deslumbrado, soñó con fundar el primer sello discográfico argentino, Mandioca. Jorge Alvarez came to the United States from Honduras at the age of seven. He grew up with his mother and his sister in tough circumstances in the Bronx. This episode is more about life change rather than career change. Jorge’s story focuses overcoming an addiction to alcohol and drugs. His second act finds him clean and sober and working for a sustainable recycling company. He manages a team of ten people that are in the field working with their clients to recycle glass and aluminum.
