In addition to being peak physical condition, Josh is abundantly clear in specific ways to optimize wellness. Josh is a chiropractor who focuses on addressing the underlying causes of various health issues, such as headaches, back pain, TMJ, neck pain, pregnancy, pediatrics, and athletic performance and recovery. Meet the RUNNING MAN, Charlie Engle. Charlie and I met on a chance of me sending him a message on social media and hoping to get a response. Not only did I get a response, we go to talk and he was pumped to get on the Human Powered Life Podcast. He even convinced me to come and hang out and run for 30 hours with him and others who were raising money for addiction treatment. I'm just about finished with watching Band of Brothers on HBO and it reminds me of why we've fought for freedom in the USA and what it means to be an American. To keep that thought going, our health is the most important aspect of our life. It's a god-given right, it drives our decisions and, it determines our future longevity. The best part is that we are FREE to make our own health decisions. As a society, we should be focusing on what adds life to our lives and not find out how to run from a problem or just pay attention when a crisis shows up. Let's study and focus on what makes us live than always focusing on what may make us die. When we focus on the death aspect we forget that we're supposed to live. To shift gears, let me share what I did this past week. I became a test subject for a nutrition company called Standard Process. I was given the opportunity to go to their Nutrition Innovation Center in Kannapolis, North Carolina, and to work with their clinical and nutrition scientists. We want to see where I currently stand in health and performance and what I can do to improve with nutrition and supplementation. The time there with everyone was amazing. I learned so much. From questionnaires to taking blood, to a DEXA scan, VO2 max and more we will have so much to go over in the following week when the results come in. This adventure will definitely benefit me individually, and will also benefit nutritional science, and the listeners to the show as well as my patients in the the office. It's a WIN-WIN-WIN!!!
