Hour 1 Boomer and Phil Simms hosted, discussing Justin Fields' toe injury (out for preseason but good for the season start). Phil praised Tyrod Taylor as a backup. C-Lo updated on Fields and Malik Nabers' toe injury. They also covered the Giants' QB situation with Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart, Dak Prescott's Super Bowl aspirations, and their excitement for Michael Penix and the Falcons. Phil believes Kirk Cousins won't be traded due to the need for a good backup. The Mets and Yankees were off. The hour concluded with Phil's podcast with his son Matt and listener calls about meeting Phil. Hour 2 Phil Simms reports on Giants camp, emphasizing the defensive line's need for dominance and the team's lack of speed. Brian Daboll is under pressure. C-Lo returns, and Simms reveals he's left-handed except for throwing. Aaron Glenn praised Tyrod Taylor. Boomer recalled hating players who stepped on his toes, referencing Justin Fields and Malik Nabers' toe issues. Maggie Gray questions BBLs for athletes. The hour ends with a caller's query about sumo wrestlers on the offensive line. Hour 3 Boomer & Phil Simms discuss QB dedication and the Giants' interest in Jaxson Dart. Phil believes Arch Manning and Nick Saban to the Browns rumors make sense. C-Lo shares Aaron Glenn on social media after Justin Fields' injury. Brian Daboll downplays Dart's pick-6 as practice and discusses the offensive line "ad nauseam." Brandon Tierney rants about the Yankees. Boomer recounts Phil's Vegas incidents: walking into a glass door and losing/finding a tooth. Hour 4 Phil Simms assessed NFL coaches and QBs, including McDaniel/Tagovailoa and Tomlin/Rodgers. C-Lo updated on Justin Fields. We compared Parcells and McDaniel audio. Scottie Scheffler confirmed a tee-off fart on 'Pardon My Take'. A caller likened the Pirates to a cheating wife. Moment of the Day: Anthony in Belleville's 'oh my gosh' to Simms. Simms shared his top college QBs.

Jerry's update included sound bites from Thibs and players, along with highlights from the Mets' win (Alonso homer) and the Yankees' victory (Rice homer, Rodon's strong outing). Boomer seems to believe the AL East race is "over." Terry Bradshaw reiterated his stance against Aaron Rodgers joining the Steelers for one year. The segment concluded with a humorous anecdote about Maggie Gray mistaking an impersonator for Sammy Hagar, and a caller suggesting the Knicks bring back Charles Oakley to change their "mojo."

Hour 1 The Knicks are down 3-1, leading Gio to declare the series over, though Boomer holds out until the Pacers win their fourth. Boomer noted the Knicks' best defensive players "got torched," highlighting the team's inconsistency. The Knicks face elimination at home, a place they haven't played well. In other sports, the Yankees beat the Angels, and the Mets defeated the White Sox. Oddly, Brandon Nimmo made a baserunning blunder. Off the field, Terry Bradshaw weighed in on Aaron Rodgers, and Tyreek Hill had a blunt take on Travis Hunter. The hour ended with Knicks fans calling in, one suggesting Thibs be fired. Hour 2 Larry Johnson showed no nostalgia for his famous 4-point ball when asked. The conversation shifted back to the Knicks' lack of identity and inconsistent play. Jerry's update included sound bites from Thibs and players, along with highlights from the Mets' win (Alonso homer) and the Yankees' victory (Rice homer, Rodon's strong outing). The segment concluded with a humorous anecdote about Maggie Gray mistaking an impersonator for Sammy Hagar, and a caller suggesting the Knicks bring back Charles Oakley to change their "mojo." Hour 3 The Knicks' 3-1 series deficit sparked debate, with Gio suggesting the NBA "fix" games and callers decrying biased officiating, despite Tyrese Haliburton's stellar performance. Some fans, however, see the loss as part of the Knicks' natural progression. Jerry predicted a Knicks win in the next game, while the Pacers coach discussed the playoff back-and-forth. In baseball, the Mets defeated the White Sox, marked by a confusing baserunning play from Brandon Nimmo, and the Yankees held off the Angels despite a shaky ninth inning from Devin Williams. The hour concluded with a discussion about dog dancing. Hour 4 Frustrated Knicks fans called in after the team's loss in Indiana, with one expressing dislike for Karl-Anthony Towns and another questioning why the series is being discussed as if it's over. Jerry's update included Pat McAfee yelling at celebrities and Brandon Tierney's social media comment that the Pacers are simply "better." In baseball, the Yankees beat the Angels with homers from Rice and Peraza, while the Mets scored four in the first against the White Sox. Ohtani already has 20 home runs. Terry Bradshaw called the idea of Aaron Rodgers joining the Steelers "a joke," suggesting he "chew on bark" in California. Tyreek Hill bluntly dismissed Travis Hunter as "gonna be ass." The "Moment of The Day" featured Boomer not paying attention during an update. The hour concluded with the sentiment that Tyrese Haliburton's dominant performance sealed the Knicks' fate, noting the only playoff game where the Knicks felt in control was Game 6 against Boston.

Hour 1 UCONN won their second straight NCAA championship last night. There are rumors of Danny Hurley going to Kentucky but Boomer said that's not happening. Boomer did his Frank The Tank walk yesterday and Frank was talking about maybe Shaheen Holloway would go to Kentucky. Boomer said Kentucky is one of the most pressure-filled jobs in the country. Anthony Volpe is off to a great start this season in the field and at the plate. He homered last night against the horrendous Marlins. Jerry is here for his first update and starts highlights from UCONN's championship win over Purdue. Dan Hurley was very low key in the press conference after. We heard audio from a reporter who found John Calipari walking his dog and pushing an empty dog stroller. The Mets beat the Braves thanks to a HR by DJ Stewart and 2 HRs by Brandon Nimmo. Boomer said the Knicks cannot lose to the Bulls tonight. They have to win 3 of their last 4 games of the season. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said yesterday during the eclipse, roosters were confused by the sun going in and the sun coming back out. Some people were really into the eclipse. Gio can't believe we don't think about the sun and the moon.  Hour 2 Juan Soto really seems to be enjoying his time playing with the Yankees. He's interacting with the fans, signing autographs. He almost missed the first pitch of the game while signing in right field. What other teams would be able to afford Soto? Giants, Astros and Mets seem like teams that could. He looks really happy here but he is not the type to give a discount to the team he's with at the moment. Yankee fans will pressure them to do everything they can to keep him. We then got into the Knicks as they have only 4 more regular season games before they hit the playoffs. A caller wonders if this UCONN team is the best team we've ever seen since the great UCLA teams of the past. Both Chris Carlin and Maggie Gray said Dawn Staley should be the next coach at Kentucky, for the men's team. Jerry is here for an update but first, Dan Patrick has already discussed UCONN vs the Pistons. Jerry starts with the sounds of last night's UCONN win over Purdue for their second straight NCAA championship. Brandon Nimmo hit 2 HRs as the Mets beat the Braves. Charles Barkley was not impressed with the eclipse, calling people ‘losers' for being excited. Christine Johnson of CBS was in Niagara Falls to see the eclipse and Jerry has some audio. She was very emotional. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the playoff push the Islanders are making.  Hour 3 The Mets came back down 4-0 to the Braves and won. DJ Stewart got his first hit of the season, a HR that ultimately was the game winning run. Brandon Nimmo hit 2 homeruns and had 5 RBIs. The Yankees did what they are supposed to do against a bad team like the Marlins, blasting them 7-0. Right now the Yankees and Pirates have the best record in baseball. Boomer wonders why we don't have any update on the Ohtani betting situation. A caller thinks John Sterling wasn't feeling well during Sunday's game, which is why he thinks he was off yesterday. A caller wonders if you can root against your alma mater if they're playing against the team you rooted for as a kid. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio wonders who is the best team in NY right now? Jerry starts with all the sounds from last night's UCONN win over Purdue for their second straight NCAA title. Brandon Nimmo hit 2 HRs and had 5 RBIs. Juan Soto hit a HR as the Yankees had no problem with the Marlins. Elly De La Cruz hit an inside the park HR last night. Jerry has more audio of people on the news who are way into the eclipse. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is going to UBS arena for Rangers/Islanders.  Hour 4 We talked about the Masters which starts this Thursday. Gio has a nugget for how to pick winners for the Masters. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds from last night's UCONN win over Purdue to win their second straight NCAA championship. In the postgame, Dan Hurley certainly acted like he'd been there before. It certainly doesn't seem like he's leaving. The Yankees beat the Marlins no problem and Juan Soto hit a HR. The Moment of The Day involves reaction from news reporters on location during the eclipse. In the final segment of the show, Boomer is going to UBS arena tonight for Rangers/Islanders and Gio recommends the Shaq Big Chicken sandwich. NASA said they photographed what looked like a surfboard shaped object near the surface of the moon. Turns out it's South Korea's satellite.

Hour 1 We had another brutally boring football game last night between the Vikings and Bears. Boomer said it's because there have been 50 different starting quarterbacks this year. Even though we have been complaining about how bad the product has been, we are still watching. There's also a lack of hitting in practice which leads to poor play in the games. Boomer also said the majority of players coming in from college are not prepared for the pro game, particularly at quarterback. Even Patrick Mahomes sat for a year before he played. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with sound from last night's boring Monday night game. Rex Ryan said Brandon Staley should go back to Division III football. Gio wonders what Bill Cowher does with his free time and imagines him out clubbing in NYC. Joe Schoen talked to the media and didn't say much. Bill Simmons had a strange way to describe the Eagles season thus far. It involves Milton Berle. In the final segment of the hour, the Mets hired Scott Havens as President of Business Operations. They are going to try and build a casino over by Citi Field.  Hour 2 Giants GM Joe Schoen met the media and he was asked so many questions about the draft even though they are still ‘in the hunt' and the draft is so far away. Probably not, because Aaron Rodgers seems to like him. Frank Reich was fired by the Panthers yesterday, the second straight year the Panthers fired a coach before he finished his first year. Callers wonder how Saleh survives after how bad he has been in his two years. A caller is upset at how Italians are being portrayed by the media with Tommy DeVito's success. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the boring Vikings/Bears game from last night as Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were thankful when it ended. Russell Westbrook got into it with a fan last night and talked to the media about it after the game. Jerry ran into Tony Paige at the Rutgers basketball game last night. Sonny Gray signed with the Cardinals and Erik Kratz claimed Larry Rothschild was the reason he wasn't good with the Yankees. In the final segment of the hour, we got a handwritten note from Luke, a young kid who came to visit us on the show a few weeks back. In the final segment of the hour, the Uber Eats guy may have been a DoorDash guy and it looks like it was probably a prank. Gio also talked about the hatchet wielding hitchhiker on Netflix and how everybody wanted him because he was authentic at the time.  Hour 4: We talked about Mahomes' ankle and somehow talked about the ‘vag-ankle' (if you don't know, I can't tell you here). James Dolan was on Fox 5 this morning talking about face recognition software and his liquor license. Jerry returns for an update, but first Maggie Gray calls in to tell us she did get into MSG because she was wearing a mask. Jerry has many clips from James Dolan this morning on Fox 5. In the final segment of the show, there's an article with anonymous sources saying things really weren't buttoned up this season with Belichick, Joe Judge and Matt Patricia.

2022 brought serious flooding to parts of the country and major clean-up jobs. In March, Tairawhiti Civil Defence declared a state of emergency when torrential rain caused flooding across the East Cape and Hawke's Bay. The deluge caused serious damage to Gisborne's roads, bridges, properties, and farmland. Less than two weeks later, ex-tropical cyclone Fili brought more heavy rain and high winds, battering a region that hadn't yet recovered. Further south, major flooding in August put the Nelson-Marlborough region into a state of emergency, prompting a clean-up described as likely the "biggest recovery ever faced" in the region. Heavy rain caused widespread slips, rivers to burst their banks, and major damage to critical infrastructure, including State Highway 6, which is still being repaired. Hundreds of homes had to be evacuated, with more than 150 eventually being red-stickered. Kathryn speaks to Gisborne's mayor Rehette Stoltz and checks in with Nelson resident Maggie Gray, who Nine to Noon spoke with during the floods.

For weeks now, we've been hearing a lot about the supposedly scandalous 'Yankee Letter' -- sent by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred to the New York Yankees back in 2017, and related to possible sign stealing violations. But now that the contents of that letter have come to light (as of Tuesday), it's clear that the story behind the letter is more interesting than the letter itself. Today, we dive into that story, which involves an unlikely lawsuit filed by a fantasy baseball player -- a case that unintentionally set off a media firestorm directed at the Yankees. Then, Maggie Gray of CBS Sports Radio joins us to discuss the contents of the letter and what all of this means for the Bronx Bombers.
