Many people have asked me about the old Tantra Groups from Bhagwan. I like to describe my first Tantra group with Rajen Lowen. It will be shocking or will be a revaluation… This group was hell and heaven and sometimes so awful challenging … Still, I am thankful my whole life that I could participate… Before you could do the Tantra I group, you had to make a 14 days Primal intense group to release your traumas from your childhood. The Tantra I intense group is mostly done nude and 16 hours a day… and that for 14 days.Rajen Lowen, the world leading Encounter expert, confronted us with so much hate and anger inside of us, so we could release our negative emotions to experience true love.We can read in the old Sufi and Hindu, Buddhists scripture, similarities with the encounter. Before we experience the divine, we have to face our anger, hate... those who are covering our true self… And for that we need a strict Master who is mercilessly beating our ego. But there was also fun… The first 2 hours started with self-love… We had to undress ourselves, we got condoms, paper tissues, and rubber gloves… We had to masturbate together with girls and men… Afterward, a group talk, and we should tell our experience. Somehow negative feelings happened, like crying, jealousy and anger…I don't know why… From our self-love it went straight to encounter… We had to express our anger, hate on the opposite sex …. One side nude girls, on the opposite site nude men and each person tried their best to hurt the opposite sex… A normal person will never experience so strong hate and anger in his entire life as we in this encounter. After expressing our negativity, we experienced love and harmony…The next exercise,... The men made a circle holding their hands and the girls could do with the men what they wanted… After an 1 hour it changed. The girls made the circle… When the men were in the circle, some girls had intercourse with the guys, but when the girls were in the circle, the men hold back… And so the girls complained; the girls had less sham than the males. Next exercise: encounter to express the negative feelings…In between there were quite a lot of meditations. We had to choose a partner for the night…In the next days, we had a one day encounter, the next day love, and it changed so every day…Rajen forced us to have as much sex as possible, to change the partner, to watch your darling, to have sex with another partner, to go beyond of sex… There was a big issue with jealousy. We could live our sexual fantasies and desires… We could later connect with the divine… For me, it was the bridge to God…My Video: Episode 12 Tantra group with Rajen https://youtu.be/NCa9mWXxbcMMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast1/Episode-12-Tantra-group-with-Rajen.mp3

Welcome to this episode of The Wild Golf Podcast. I am your host Michael McDonald. My guest this week, the last episode of 2021, is Rajen Sewgolum, the son of “Papwa”, the greatest South African golfer of all time, who you've most likely never heard of as he was a person of colour whose livelihood was cruelly taken away from him by the apartheid state. During this week when we lost Lee Elder, and at a time when countless professional golfers are quite happy to get into bed with serial human rights abusers, I would ask that you please share the story of Papwa, as it is an important story that needs to be told. You can find out more about Papwa by reading "Papwa: In the Grip of a Champion" by Derrick Hubbard and by following Rajen on Twitter (@PapwaGolf) and Instagram (@rajen_sewgolum). This episode comprises the Highlights of the amazing journey of the cool and persistent Rajen Prabhu, aka Sumo – as known to his friends and family. Rajen is Sr. Director at a large fintech MNC in Singapore and speaks about his journey from a fat to a fit man to an Ironman! Rajen recently completed his first Ironman-equivalent triathlon, Challenge Roth in Bavaria this July within 8 years of embarking upon his fitness journey. He also discusses about his first love for quizzing and his long-cherished dream of being a comedian-quizmaster. This conversation is inspiring in that it encapsulates the impermanence of the labels we attach to ourselves, be it self-construed or given by others – if we are willing to extend ourselves beyond those familiar terrains and give a chance to rediscover ourselves daily! So ready to listen to this refreshingly candid talk with Rajen? Strap it on!
In this segment Rajen shares some fun trivia about himself including how he got nicknamed Sumo, the advantage of having a fat man live inside a fit man, how he holds qualifying for Mardi Gras Quiz finals in college close to his heart, his ritual before the races, his favourite pair of shoes, and fondness for Japanese cuisine and how reading Lord of the Rings transformed him when he was growing up, some funny incidents of his life also earning huge brownie points when he admits to relish everything cooked by his talented wife Sowmiya Venkatesan, who was a Masterchef Singapore finalist! And we delightfully concur after being treated to a lovely generous meal prepared by Sowmiya when we landed up at Rajen’s residence in the evening, weary after two consecutive shoots done earlier in the day! We hope you enjoy listening to this one! Happy Listening!
Hey! you are listening to TalkCXOLIfe and this time we are presenting this amazing journey of the cool and persistent Rajen Prabhu, aka Sumo – as known to his friends and family. While the moniker Sumo was bestowed upon Rajen decades ago at the IIT Madras campus by a senior as campus tradition demands it, Rajen, who is Sr. Director at a large fintech MNC in Singapore, is anything but the huge 120-kg guy that he had been for a major part of his life! Well, physically at least! In his conversation with Sunayana Nair, Editor CXO Life, Rajen confesses to still having a fat man living inside of him – an intricate part of him in which has shaped his perspectives, his attitude of keeping it light and simple and his hunger for testing his limits which he isn’t ready to part with as yet. And quite understandably so! For a guy to have just completed his first Ironman-equivalent triathlon, Challenge Roth in Bavaria this July within 8 years of embarking upon his fitness journey, Rajen is remarkably casual about his form and believes that preparation is the key to ace any challenge. Interestingly enough Rajen believes his journey has been laced with humor and it had inspired him enough to combine it with his love for quizzing and invent a unique standup routine act crossing comedy and quizzing – an experiment which had its fair share of audience in the rotary clubs in Chennai though he is yet to position it successfully in Singapore. Happy listening!
In this segment, Rajen speaks on Work-life balance and how bringing about that harmony has been possible largely due to a motivating organisational culture and an encouraging boss. Though work always comes first for Rajen he shares how it is possible to pragmatically weave in passion with gruelling ambition by being mindful. He shares how success is about being able to enjoy work and have people who mean something to you, respect you be it at work and home. Among all things, it is Rajen’s persistence which has surprised him especially since he considered himself to be the guy who would walk away from something if it seemed too hard. Looking back, Rajen is surprised how he persisted with those countless hours in the swimming pool unable to swim more than 10 metres! Going forward, Rajen wants to hold on to the sense of gratitude for what he has, retain his sense of humour when things go wrong and would like the understanding to prevail that wellbeing is physical and mental and how one can’t put a price on being healthy. Happy Listening!
In this segment, Rajen takes us through his first love of quizzing and introduces us to his once-cherished dream of becoming a standup comedian. Rajen shares how he had tasted a ‘modicum of success’ in Chennai rotary clubs where he found himself an enthusiastic audience among middle-aged women who would fawn over his standup routines which were a mix of quizzing and comedy. Though the move to Singapore resulted in a cooling down of this passion, Rajen still hopes to fan it alive someday especially with his inner Sumo within constantly goading him to view life in all its splendid humor. Rajen also shares his views on the current Indian standup comedy scene and how it has come a long way from mimicry and narrating jokes out of a book. Happy Listening!
In this segment, Rajen shares key insights on nutrition, the importance of sleep and how he is an early sleeper, how he manages work and his passion for biking and racing in triathlons. How giving up tayar-saadam or curd rice for dinner was the biggest sacrifice he has had to make after having it for the first 38 years of his life. Rajen also shares how his passion for competing in triathlons has helped him approach work and life, improved his focus, productivity and time management skills. Rajen also shares how moving to Singapore was the key factor that enabled him to discover his interests and pursue it so dedicatedly. Happy Listening!
In this segment, Rajen takes us through his journey into fitness with his move to Singapore in 2011 as a senior executive with Mastercard. He shares how he chanced upon the concept of triathlons, having casually signed up for one such on a vacation to Phuket in 2013 and though he felt that he would ‘die at various points in the event’ he was hooked on to it at the end and wanted to carry on testing his limits even as he sat in an ice tub trying to help his body recover from the shock of having endured the race. It was The Metasprint series in Singapore, however, which helped him approach the triathlon in a methodical manner which was key to help him approach the sport systematically and eventually see them as fun. He shares how he loves biking and how he struggled with swimming having learnt it only five-six years ago but persisted anyway. Rajen now looks forward to his training which is engineered seamlessly within his daily schedule. Alan talks about his life and his work. Having been adopted by Catholic Nuns at an early age he started to find his way when he discovered Carl Rogers and Encounter Groups. He describes his awakening: "I disappeared into the most brilliant oneness in the whole of existence. All the boundaries dissolved". Alan worked at the Community Centre in London before going to Poona and becoming a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (later Osho). At this time he becomes known as Rajen and ran Encounter groups before moving on to the Rajneesh ranch in Oregon. In this interview, Alan reflects on his time with Bhagwan/Osho and talks about 'The Art Of Being.'
