A common pattern in a lot of love relationships sounds like one partner (often a man, in a man/woman dynamic) saying things like:"I wish you weren't so busy with the kids.""You never dress up for me anymore.""I wish you'd flirt with me more.""You hide yourself from me; I never really see your body anymore.""I wish we had more sex."---What's driving this, and how does a couple navigate it skillfully? A lot of men yearn for more sexual connection with their partner -- but it's not just about the sex. And the way a lot of men go about talking about this with their woman partner ends up being triggering for the woman. Here we discuss what we've witnessed in terms of men's deep desire for not just sex, but their partner's enthusiastic participation. And we dive right into what's even underneath that: The ache to feel her feminine essence. This is about more than just incorporating sex toys or trying out a new position. This is about the depth and power and range of the open feminine. Get ready for a hell of a ride!Memorable quotes from this episode“I wasn't open and didn't know how to open.”“To the men, it's like a vitamin.”“It's the sense of aliveness as it changes moment to moment.”“A lot of times what women are hearing is, ‘I'm not enough.'”“I want to feel lust for life! I want to feel playful and lighthearted and irreverent.”“The essence of the feminine is desire and emotion.”“When women are in their full range, the relationship accelerates.”“I want you to enjoy it; I want you feel your pleasure and your desire, and I know that's in you.”---Mentioned on this episode:Please Her In Bed: A Course for Men, Designed by Women (www.pleaseherinbed.com)ROSE Code by Violet Lange: www.violetlange.com/rosecode

Welcome back! Today, I want to do a deep dive into supplements. This is for our health series. Of course, there's no way I can't talk about supplements. I've been reading and studying the supplement world for a long time.    My goal today is to give you a realistic look at supplements and what they can and can't do. I want to debunk the myth that we can get the majority of everything we need from our food alone. I have some really interesting data to support this. So whether you love them or hate them, this will be a fascinating episode for you.   Favorite Quotes:  03:00 - “Even if you're eating really healthy, it is very difficult for you to eat enough food to get your minimum RDA levels of vitamins and minerals every day.” 04:01 - “Most important is a multivitamin. A multivitamin is like your daily safety net. It's gonna fill in the gaps where your diet will fall short.” 05:28 - “Another one that I'm obsessed with and I think everyone should take as a supplement is magnesium. Magnesium is a powerhouse. I love it because magnesium is involved in over 300 processes in your body.”  18:13 - “Multivitamins help us feel better in the time that we have to live.” 21:48 - “However many years the Lord has given us, we want to feel good. We want to live them abundantly. We want to thrive. We don't just want to limp through life and that takes educating ourselves. It takes empowering ourselves.”   Recommendations: This week I'm currently loving The Rose Code by Kate Quinn. It's historical fiction that dives into the lives of three women code breakers during WWII. If you're like me and haven't read it yet, you just may love it.   I know what great song you'll love, Everything Has Breath by Bryan and Katie Torwalt and Jesus Culture. It's upbeat. It's the perfect song to put on, roll the windows down, and sing and praise through it all.   Things I love and think you will too: Pure Encapsulations    Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega-3    Pure Encapsulations O.N.E. The Diamond Eye – Kate Quinn  The brand-new historical novel based on a true story from the bestselling author of The Rose Code and The Alice Network In the snowbound city of Kiev, aspiring historian Mila Pavlichenko's life revolves around her young son – until Hitler's invasion of Russia changes everything. Suddenly, she and her friends must take up arms to save their country from the Fuhrer's destruction.  Handed a rifle, Mila discovers a gift – and months of blood, sweat and tears turn the young woman into a deadly sniper: the most lethal hunter of Nazis.  Yet success is bittersweet. Mila is torn from the battlefields of the eastern front and sent to America while the war still rages. There, she finds an unexpected ally in First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, and an unexpected promise of a different future.  But when an old enemy from Mila's past joins forces with a terrifying new foe, she finds herself in the deadliest duel of her life.  The Diamond Eye is a haunting novel of heroism born of desperation, of a mother who became a soldier, of a woman who found her place in the world and changed the course of history forever.  The House of Eve – Sadeqa Johnson   1950s Philadelphia: fifteen-year-old Ruby Pearsall is on track to becoming the first in her family to attend college, in spite of having a mother more interested in keeping a man than raising a daughter. But a taboo love affair threatens to pull her back down into the poverty and desperation that has been passed on to her like a birthright.  Eleanor Quarles arrives in Washington, DC, with ambition and secrets. When she meets the handsome William Pride at Howard University, they fall madly in love. But William hails from one of DC's elite wealthy Black families, and his parents don't let just anyone into their fold. Eleanor hopes that a baby will make her finally feel at home in William's family and grant her the life she's been searching for. But having a baby—and fitting in—is easier said than done.  With their stories colliding in the most unexpected of ways, Ruby and Eleanor will both make decisions that shape the trajectory of their lives. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Kate Quinn - Internationally popular for her historical fiction Kate Quinn: It's lovely to be here. Thank you for having me. Jenny Wheeler: Kate, you are a New York Times bestselling author with a string of historical hits to your credit, including The Alice Network and The Rose Code, but the one we are focusing on today is your latest book, The Diamond Eye. It's a Bletchley Park story – the place where Britain's finest brains worked during WW2 to crack German military codes. Three women become friends there but war, loss and the impossible pressures of secrecy tear them apart. The code-breaking techniques are fascinating, as are the human elements of the story.Missing Persons by Steve BrauniasHe's identified 12 people who've gone missing in a variety of ways – some at the hands of others, some who've slipped out of the public eye and some who we all knew from the headlines and then quickly forgot (Grace Millane, Kim Dotcom, Mark Lundy etc ). These are stories of disappearance, in an all New Zealand true crime collection which is as fascinating as it's entertaining.LISTEN ABOVE
