What if "Never Give Up" is terrible advice?(watch this full interview on YouTube.  https://youtu.be/6ROfazVZBco)We've all heard it: Quitters never win. Winners never quit. But what if hanging on too long is actually what's holding you back?In this fascinating conversation, resilience researcher, change strategist and keynote speaker Courtney Clark (https://courtneyclark.com/)  shares why adaptability, (NOT POSITIVITY!) is the real secret to thriving in this uncertain world. After surviving cancer four times and discovering a life-threatening brain aneurysm, Courtney learned that resilience isn't about pretending everything is fine. It's about knowing when to persevere, when to change direction, and how to create a new path forward. In this episode: Why adaptability beats positivity  The surprising downside of grit  When "never give up" becomes bad advice  How to know when it's time to change course Why successful people quit more often than you might think  The difference between goals and plans  How to stop chasing someone else's definition of success  Why every "yes" is a "no" to something else (this was my favorite part!)If you've ever felt stuck, burned out, overcommitted, or afraid to change direction, this episode might be exactly what you need.Because sometimes the fastest path forward starts with letting go. Want more from Courtney?  It's all on her website!  https://courtneyclark.com/GRAB A FREE CHAPTER OF HER BOOK at https://shortcutbook.comCourtney Clark is the luckiest unlucky person in the world. After witnessing the terrorist attacks of September 11th from her office just 18 blocks north, she thought she had escaped unscathed. In Episode 183 of the Best Coach Ever podcast, we dive into a frustrating problem many coaches face: attracting leads who seem interested but never buy, waste time in the DMs, or aren't truly committed to getting results. Lynette challenges the common assumption that simply changing your niche or targeting "high-achieving women" will solve the problem.Instead, Lynette explains how your content is constantly signaling who belongs in your world, what behaviors are rewarded, and what standards you tolerate. If you're attracting indecisive buyers, tire-kickers, or people looking for shortcuts, your content may be unintentionally inviting them in.This episode is a powerful reminder that attracting better clients isn't about better hooks or more educational content—it's about positioning yourself as the kind of leader your dream clients aspire to work with. If you loved this episode, don't forget to leave a 5-star rating and review. It helps more coaches discover the podcast and learn how to attract higher-quality clients who are ready to take action. In this episode, we cover:1) Why You're Attracting Leads You Don't Want [0:00 - 3:20]-The frustration of attracting tire-kickers, ghosters, and indecisive buyers.-Why your content is attracting exactly the type of people it's designed to reward.2) Your Content Reveals What You Tolerate [3:21 - 6:15]-How your messaging communicates acceptable behaviors and identities.-Why "lazy girl hacks" and rescue-style content often attract low-commitment clients.3) The Problem With Selling Ease & Shortcuts [6:16 - 8:55]-Why constantly promoting the easiest path can attract the wrong audience.-How strong positioning naturally filters out people looking for magic solutions.4) What High-Quality Clients Actually Respond To [8:56 - 12:10]-Why ambitious buyers are drawn to leadership, standards, and ownership.-The importance of documenting who you are, not just what you teach.5) Rethinking the 'High-Achieving Woman' Niche [12:11 - 14:45]-Why high-achievers are defined more by identity and behavior than demographics.-How speaking to deeper emotional struggles creates stronger connection.6) Identity-Based Marketing in the AI Era [14:46 - 17:10]-Why information alone is no longer enough to stand out.-How buyers choose coaches whose values and identity reflect who they want to become.7) A Content Audit for Attracting Better Leads [17:11 - End]-Questions to evaluate whether your content is rewarding the right behaviors. How to position yourself as a leader who challenges clients instead of coddling them.Connect with Lynette:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lynettemariehFitness Coaching Business Accelerator: https://fcbaprogram.comThe Wellness CEO Mastermind: https://wcmprogram.com

Four models that ran Tahoe miss out: the 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019), the 13-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ with four Thunderbolt 3 ports (2020), the 2020 iMac, and the 2019 Mac Pro. Golden Gate is also the last version with full Rosetta 2 support, meaning the translation layer that keeps Intel-built apps running on Apple silicon will disappear entirely after this release.iPadOS 27 raises its hardware floor to the A14 Bionic or M1 chip, cutting the fifth-generation iPad mini, the eighth-generation iPad, the third-generation iPad Air, the first-generation 11-inch iPad Pro, and the third-generation 12.9-inch ‌iPad Pro‌.watchOS 27 makes the steepest cuts in Apple Watch history, dropping the Series 6, Series 7, Series 8, original Ultra, and second-generation SE in a single wave and effectively erasing three years of device support at once. The only models that remain compatible are the Series 9, Series 10, Series 11, Ultra 2, Ultra 3, and SE 3.tvOS 27 drops two Apple TV models, the Apple TV HD from 2015 and the first-generation ‌Apple TV‌ 4K from 2017, leaving only the second- and third-generation ‌Apple TV‌ 4K boxes supported. In ‌iOS 27‌, notifications now slide in from the left edge of the screen rather than dropping down from the top, and reaching Notification Centre requires swiping down from the top-left corner instead of the centre, freeing up that gesture for Siri. Other changes include colorful sidebar icons, real-time widget updates when an app is already open, extra-large Home Screen widgets, and web audio that no longer interrupts other system audio. The centerpiece of the update is Siri AI, which replaces Spotlight with a "Search or Ask" interface accessed by swiping down from the center of the display. ‌Siri‌ is designed to tone-match a user's own writing style when composing messages. Apple's pill-shaped ‌Siri‌ indicator is seemingly a hardware workaround for current Dynamic Island constraints, and a smaller ‌Dynamic Island‌ on the iPhone 18 Pro could allow the indicator to become a true circle. On the Apple Watch, ‌Siri‌ AI requires pairing with an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence. In the European Union, ‌Siri‌ AI is available on macOS and visionOS at launch but not on the iPhone or ‌iPad‌.‌Apple Intelligence‌ is also getting smarter Writing Tools and a composition assistant in Mail and Messages that adapts to how a user typically communicates with different contacts. Apple has overhauled Genmoji, adding a "Describe a change" interface for iterating on existing creations and the ability to start a new Genmoji from an existing emoji, a photo, or a person tagged in the user's photo library. Image Playground similarly adds support for multiple aspect ratios for wallpapers, Contact Posters, and social media images, alongside new photorealistic image generation.Visual Intelligence, meanwhile, gets a new primary entry point called ‌Siri‌ Mode, though holding down Camera Control still works as an alternative. The feature is expanding to the ‌iPad‌ and Mac, and now supports importing multiple calendar events from a single photo of a flyer, as well as importing contacts directly from a photographed business card.On the Mac, ‌macOS Golden Gate‌ extends toolbars and sidebars to the edges of the screen with a more consistent, tighter corner radius across windows. iPadOS 27 adds undo and redo for ‌Home Screen‌ edits, extra-large widgets in Today View, an optional persistent menu bar, and Visual Intelligence support for screenshots combined with Apple Pencil highlighting. Notes gains an Image Wand tool that generates photorealistic images from rough sketches, the ‌Siri‌ app gets a dedicated sidebar with full windowing support, and Shortcuts adds support for Magic Keyboard triggers.watchOS 27 drops the Walkie-Talkie app entirely, with the feature missing from both the app list and Control Center in the first developer beta, while adding new Smart Stack suggestions, more accurate step tracking, and a consolidated Find My app. visionOS 27 lets users activate ‌Siri‌ simply by looking at its on-screen bubble rather than requiring a button press, and adds a redesigned Control Center along with new curved windows. tvOS 27 brings a redesigned Podcasts app, Hi-Res Lossless audio support in Apple Music, and on-device processing for HomeKit Secure Video.Ready to tackle bigger problems?

Pursue Your Passion
#112 - Allie Jones - The Shift from Iowa Nice to Iowa Kind

Pursue Your Passion

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 16, 2026 49:18

In this high-energy episode of Pursue Your Passion, host Tyler Kamerman sits down with leadership coach, consultant, and creator of the "Iowa Kind" initiative, Allie Jones. Together, they unpack a cultural and professional trap that so many of us fall into: choosing the comfort of being surface-level "nice" over the radical commitment to being truly kind. Allie shares how her journey back to the Midwest exposed a deficit - the gap between the storied "Iowa Nice," and possibility of "Iowa Kind." If you've been walking on eggshells to please people instead of stepping into the courageous honesty needed to move your business or community forward, this conversation will completely reinvent how you view communication. The real "aha" moment hits when Allie drops a truth bomb about finding clarity in your career and life goals. In a world screaming with social media notifications, endless business books, and self-proclaimed expert blueprints, we have lost the ability to get quiet enough to listen to our own instincts. Allie and Tyler challenge listeners to break free from the traditional "stay small and quiet" mindset, embrace the messy friction of real hospitality, and start tuning into their internal intuition. If you are ready to stop looking for shortcuts to contentment and finally take your next right step with bold clarity, grab your headphones and press play!   Key Takeaways Niceness is a Shortcut, Kindness is the Goal: "Nice" is a surface-level tool used to avoid discomfort and ensure immediate agreeableness. "Kindness" is the courageous, authentic work that prioritizes long-term connection and real progress over temporary comfort. Ditch the Gurus for Your Own Intuition: Stop looking for a five-step blueprint from outside influencers. Allie's ultimate advice for a mental breakthrough is to go on a 30-minute walk with absolutely zero audio inputs.  Embrace the Friction of Real Connection: True community isn't born on social media feeds. It requires stepping out of your comfort zone, inviting people into an uncleaned house, and engaging with those who don't think, look, or act exactly like you.   To connect with Allie: @alliejonesconsulting on all the socials To get in touch with Tyler: https://www.tylerkamerman.com/

We also read your emails and take a look at the week's news. News: Households Used More Than 10 Video Services Daily Google Rolls Out a Major Update to Its Google TV Streamer 4k Apple TV from Apple's WWDC 2026 Key takeaways for Apple TV from Apple's WWDC 2026 are relatively modest and software-focused, as the event emphasized iOS 27. tvOS 27 Highlights for Apple TV Larger Text / System-Wide Text Size Adjustment: A new accessibility option lets users increase on-screen text size across supported apps and the interface. AI-Generated / On-Device Subtitles: tvOS 27 adds real-time automatic subtitle generation for videos lacking built-in captions (including personal content).  Other Refinements: Expect Liquid Glass UI polish, performance/stability improvements, smarter recommendations, and better smart home/HomeKit ties. Siri upgrades (more conversational, on-screen awareness) should improve voice control on Apple TV, though full Apple Intelligence features may wait for new hardware. tvOS 27 developer betas are available now post-keynote, with public release expected in fall 2026 alongside other OS updates. As far as the Apple Home app goes, updates  mainly dealt with Apple Intelligence integration for smarter camera handling and notifications: The Home app now uses Apple Intelligence to generate natural language descriptions of compatible camera footage, letting you search clips conversationally by saying something like,  "show me when the dog was in the backyard" Smarter batched notifications that feel less overwhelming. Alerts are intelligently grouped and dynamic instead of constant floods. Accessory updates update in real-time as conditions change. With deeper Siri AI and Shortcuts integration you can describe automations in natural language and let Siri build them (including Home shortcuts). Voice control becomes more conversational and context-aware. Hardware Notes No new Apple TV 4K hardware was announced at WWDC (consistent with expectations). A refreshed model with A17 Pro (or similar) for full Apple Intelligence/Siri 2.0 support, better smart home capabilities, and possibly Wi-Fi 7 has been "ready for months" but is being held for later in 2026 to align with the advanced AI features. What is Sony's True RGB TV All About? Sony's True RGB is Sony's marketing name for their advanced RGB Mini-LED backlight technology, introduced in 2026 for high-end BRAVIA TVs the BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II series. How True RGB Works Traditional Mini-LED or QLED TVs typically use white or blue LEDs as the backlight, then pass that light through color filters or Quantum Dots to create colors. This filtering process can reduce color purity, brightness, and efficiency. Sony's True RGB technology takes a different approach by using tiny independent red, green, and blue (RGB) LEDs in the backlight, with each color LED controllable separately across thousands or even millions of local dimming zones, generating color directly at the light source before it reaches the LCD layer rather than filtering white light. Sony's True RGB technology delivers purer and more accurate colors with a significantly wider color volume and gamut, higher peak brightness while maintaining excellent color accuracy, superior contrast and black levels that can challenge OLED performance in certain scenarios, improved energy efficiency through smart power distribution algorithms that use less power than previous generations, and outstanding off-angle viewing with minimal color shift. Key Advantages Sony Highlights Sony's True RGB technology delivers true-to-source color accuracy, backed by the company's deep professional monitor expertise and decades of innovation in RGB technology dating back to the groundbreaking 2004 QUALIA series. This is powered by advanced RGB Backlight Master Drive processing that expertly manages the immense complexity of controlling millions of individual colored diodes in real time. Overall, it successfully combines the best of Mini-LED brightness with near-OLED levels of color performance and contrast. In short, True RGB is Sony's premium implementation of direct RGB Mini-LED backlighting. Sony emphasizes not just the hardware (RGB LEDs), but their proprietary optical design, drivers, and image processing to make it perform better than competing RGB LED TVs from other brands. Sony True RGB Models with Pricing (2026 Lineup) Prices are MSRP/launch pricing (as of mid-2026; actual street prices and sales vary by retailer like Best Buy, Crutchfield, or Sony's site). Larger sizes command big premiums. BRAVIA 7 II - more accessible entry into True RGB, excellent color and brightness for the price 50" — ~$1,600 55" — ~$2,100 65" — ~$2,600 75" — ~$3,100 85" — ~$4,000 98" — ~$9,000 BRAVIA 9 II - higher brightness, more advanced processing, better anti-glare, and local dimming performance 65" — ~$3,600 75" — ~$4,600 85" — ~$6,500 115" — ~$31,000 (a massive premium flagship option)

In this episode of the AppleVis Extra podcast, Dave Nason is joined by Thomas Domville and Tyler Stephen for an in-depth discussion of Apple's WWDC 2026 keynote. The team examines Apple's new presentation format, the company's focus on refinement, trust and safety, and artificial intelligence, and what these changes mean for blind and low-vision users. The conversation begins with overall impressions of the keynote, which the hosts describe as a departure from previous WWDC events. Rather than organizing announcements by operating system, Apple focused on three major themes: refinement, trust and safety, and AI. The hosts discuss why this approach reflects Apple's increasing platform convergence and why this year's event felt more like a “Snow Leopard” release focused on improvements and stability rather than a long list of new features.A significant portion of the discussion centers on Apple's expanded family safety and parental control features. The hosts explore improvements to Screen Time, website access controls, contact approval requests, and age-verification technologies. They also discuss how Apple's new Declarative Age Range API could potentially reduce accessibility barriers while helping companies comply with growing age-restriction requirements worldwide. The podcast then shifts to Apple Intelligence and the newly announced Siri AI experience. Thomas, Tyler, and Dave discuss Apple's renewed effort to deliver the AI-powered Siri capabilities first previewed several years ago. Topics include contextual awareness, world knowledge, app actions, improved dictation, more expressive voices, and Apple's continued rollout strategy. The hosts also discuss concerns about device compatibility, regional availability, and the growing fragmentation between supported and unsupported devices.A major accessibility highlight is Apple Intelligence image description. The hosts explain how blind users can now quickly describe images anywhere in the operating system without relying on third-party services such as Be My AI or PiccyBot. They discuss the new image description rotor actions, follow-up questioning, screen-level descriptions through the Dynamic Island, and the potential future benefits of AI-powered contextual understanding for unlabeled interface elements.Other Apple Intelligence features covered include Visual Intelligence, AI-powered web monitoring, custom Safari extension generation, natural language Shortcut creation, password management automation, and AI-assisted productivity improvements. The discussion also covers operating system compatibility changes across Apple's platforms. The hosts review iOS 27 device support, the end of Intel Mac support in macOS 27 Golden Gate, Rosetta's remaining lifespan, Apple Silicon requirements, and changes to Apple Watch compatibility.Additional accessibility-related improvements discussed include pronunciation dictionary import and export, enhanced VoiceOver verbosity controls, Braille Screen Input improvements, predictive text support for Braille users, and settings related to VoiceOver cursor visibility during screen recordings. The team also reviews Apple's claims regarding system performance improvements, including faster app launches, improved AirDrop transfers, better networking transitions, Spotlight indexing enhancements, CPU scheduling improvements, and the overall goal of making Apple devices feel more responsive…

Why prompt engineers stay broke while system architects make money online (and the 4-layer method that changes everything) Episode Summary: Most AI entrepreneurs miss the ChatGPT secret that separates $0 from $5K+ monthly income. It's not a hidden feature—it's the mindset shift nobody teaches. In this episode, we expose what 30+ years of business experience reveals about why parents and digital nomads plateau with AI, and the counterintuitive workflow tweak that changes everything. Most people are obsessing over the perfect ChatGPT prompt. But the real money isn't in better prompts — it's in better architecture. In this episode, Ace breaks down the four-layer Logic Flow system that separates the side hustlers making pocket change from the entrepreneurs making life-changing income with AI.   In This Episode You'll Discover: Why perfecting your ChatGPT prompt is actually keeping you broke The four-layer Logic Flow system that turns single AI outputs into automated income machines Why you can't scale a miracle — and what to build instead The uncomfortable ethical choice every AI entrepreneur eventually faces How to start building your first Logic Flow system today — even if you're still working a nine-to-five 00:00 - Prompt Obsession Trap 01:05 - From Prompts To Systems 01:35 - Linear Flow Problem 02:57 - Layer One Inputs 04:08 - Layer Two Instructions 05:40 - Layer Three Feedback 07:10 - Layer Four Output Stacking 09:23 - Pipeline Example Continued 10:24 - Ethics Of Automation 13:39 - Build Your Logic Flow 15:40 - Whiskered Wisdom 16:25 - Final Architecture Reminder   Key Concepts Covered: The Logic Flow System — 4 Layers: Input Architecture — Structuring the raw material before the AI ever sees it. Feed it specific customer pain points, competitor analysis, key objections, desired transformations, and the one thing your customer will never admit they want. Instruction Hierarchy — Breaking compressed decisions apart into layered instructions. Define purpose, format, voice, success criteria, and failure prevention — separately and deliberately. Feedback Loop Architecture — Measuring every output against real performance data and feeding that back into your Input Architecture to systematically improve results over time. Output Stacking Architecture — Connecting AI outputs so each one feeds into the next, creating a content manufacturing pipeline that runs automatically through tools like Make, Zapier, or N8N.   Quotable Moments: "A great ChatGPT prompt working inside a broken system is just expensive busywork." "You can't scale a miracle. You can't automate a miracle. You can't build a business on miracles — you can only build one on systems." "You're not just choosing a business model. You're choosing a version of yourself." "The architecture is neutral. What you build with it isn't." "The prompt is the conversation. The system is the business."   Tools Mentioned: ChatGPT / GPT-4o (OpenAI) Make (formerly Integromat) Zapier N8N Gumroad Fiverr Upwork Hostinger (Episode Sponsor)   Sponsor: Hostinger — Everything you need to launch your online business in one place: website, domain, and email.
