Movie of the Year: 1991Bonus Episode - The Last Boy Scout Just because The Last Boy Scout can't win Movie of the Year doesn't mean it can't change you life? In 1991 this country still knew how to make movies. What does every movie need? That's right: Bruce Willis. We got B-Willz in this one, so that's a check. Also, the perfect movie is gonna need a guy falling through the spinning blades of a helicopter. Skadoosh, that's a check. Spoiler alert on that last point, obviously, but it is still an offish check. Last, the movie absolutely must have a boy scout. Ladies and gentlemen, can you please call my good friend Taylor because I'm gonna need a...CHECK PLEASE! Hold for applause. Let the audience thank you for how you've changed their lives. Are there applause breaks in articles though? But I digregs, The Last Boy Scout may not have changed the world of blockbuster movies, but it certainly changed the lives of Greg and Ryan, both of whom would grow up to work at the same Blockbuster Video. (Greg isn't in this one so I thought I would mention him here because he gets so sad, you guys.) Is The Last Boy Scout a really good time, or a super gross movie? Both and neither, but definitely both. Is it too sexist for its own good, or does it manage to comment on the sexism of other action movies? And does this movie just absolutely hate action movies in general? The guys get into it on this one in what must be the most in depth conversation about this movie of all time.
