We're launching these bite-sized sessions to help you on your journey in entrepreneurship, lifestyle design, personal development, and everything in between. Is natural wine dead? Or is it thriving? What even IS natural wine these days?! Most importantly, what's next for this multi-faceted yet misunderstood category? Helping us answer these searching questions are writer and winemaker Rachel Signer, journalist Simon J Woolf and wine producer Ben Walgate. We also indulge in a bit of impassioned debate between the two of us - this being a particularly provocative topic. (It's not every episode that moves Peter to use the phrase, 'complete bollocks', and Susie to say, 'cheeky middle finger', but here we are.)For example, did you know that the very term 'natural wine' itself is an unfortunate mis-translation? Are you familiar with, 'organic-PLUS' viticulture? Why hybrids may be the next big thing for natural producers? That natural wine is a philosophy, not a style? How the natural scene has influenced conventional wine? And the fact there's a new category of 'natural-adjacent' wines emerging..?Click on this link and use the code WINEBLAST at checkout to get 25% off Rachel Signer's brand-new book, How to Drink Natural Wine.Click on this link to get 25% off an annual subscription to Simon Woolf's Substack, The Morning Claret. Thanks for tuning in. Many Bible-believing churches are ridged keepers of tradition. They have a statement of faith, a historic confession, or old creeds that determine what people should and should not believe. There’s very little space for people to genuinely ask questions, investigate competing doctrines, and honestly change their minds over time. Today I’m speaking with Matt Lovegrove of New Castle, New South Wales. If you listened to the interview from last week with Paul Robson, he talked about Matt a bit, since he was the one that introduced Paul to a biblical unitarian perspective. Matt is a hardwired restorationist. You’re going to hear about his journey from one exploration to another. Sadly, it seems like each time he shed some falsehood and gained more truth, he ran afoul of church leadership. I think this episode is going to break your heart and make you angry–not at any one villain in Matt’s story, but at the system that continually crushes restorationists under its weight. Churches need to change. Rather than seeking to preserve the status quo at all costs, we need to seek truth whatever the cost.   Listen on Spotify   Listen on Apple Podcasts —— Links —— Support Restitutio by donating here Join our Facebook group, follow on X @RestitutioSF or Instagram @Sean.P.Finnegan or Threads @sean.p.finnegan Leave a 90 second voice message via SpeakPipe with questions or comments and we may play it out on the air Who is Sean Finnegan?  Read his bio here Get Finnegan’s book, Kingdom Journey to learn about God’s kingdom coming on earth as well as the story of how Christianity lost this pearl of great price. We look at why memory is more story than recording, how trauma fragments the way people use language and narrative structure, and why you don't need an extraordinary life to write a compelling memoir. Then, we look at why recipes boss you around with phrases like “fold in cheese” and how cookbook language evolved from chatty medieval notes into clipped, no-nonsense commands. The "recipe" segment was by Karen Lunde, a career writer and former Quick & Dirty Tips editor. She writes I'll Go First, a Substack where she shares personal essays and memoir, then hands you a weekly writing prompt and a metaphorical pen. Find her on igofirst.org.

Send us Fan MailWe hear a lot about the “loneliness epidemic,” but what if the real problem isn't that we feel lonelier? What if it's that we're spending more and more of our lives alone… and slowly forgetting how to connect in the first place? This conversation with political theorist and writer Sarah Stein Lubrano absolutely blew my mind. We got into the neuroscience of what happens when we spend too much time isolated, including how our brains literally start pruning away the social skills we're not using. Which honestly explains why texting someone back can suddenly feel like preparing for battle.Sarah shares why social interaction is a little bit like exercise. Most of us don't feel like doing it beforehand, but we almost always feel better afterward. We talk about the surprising research on talking to strangers, why introverts probably still need more connection than they think, and how our increasingly individualistic lives might be affecting everything from happiness to democracy itself. We also got into the hidden risk that keeps people isolated. It's not laziness. It's fear. Fear of awkwardness, rejection, inconvenience, vulnerability, or just feeling weird for knocking on someone's door. The less we practice connection, the riskier connection starts to feel. And honestly, this episode changed me a little. Since recording it, I joined a French conversation group, a women's finance group, and started going to karaoke at the Legion here on Salt Spring. And guess what? Every single time I leave my cozy little house and force myself into the world, something good happens.Turns out humans might actually need other humans after all. What's Inside:Why we're spending more time alone without necessarily feeling lonelierHow social isolation changes the brain and weakens social skills over timeThe surprising science behind talking to strangers and why it boosts happinessWhy rebuilding community matters for our health, relationships, and even democracyThis episode made me realize that connection isn't something that magically happens. It's something we practice, maintain, and sometimes awkwardly fight for. How do you make sure your vendors know what an incredible contribution they made to your wedding and what it meant to you?In the United States, the answer is tips and gratuity. It's expected, it's budgeted for, and on an average wedding they add thousands of dollars to a bill engaged couples are already pushed to afford.I recently polled the Unbridely Suppliers Facebook group about this topic. They are all Australian wedding vendors, and their answer was something completely different. So it got me thinking: when a vendor works for themselves and has the privilege of setting their own prices, is a tip really what they need/want? Or is it just the most convenient way for a couple to feel like they've said thank you properly. And is there a better, easier and yes, cheaper way to do it that actually means more to everyone involved? RESOURCESThe Knot 2026 Real Weddings Study theknot.com/content/average-wedding-costZola 2026 Wedding Spend Survey zola.com/expert-advice/whats-the-average-cost-of-a-weddingThe Wedding Report 2025 wedding.report/action/wedding_statistics/view/market/id/00/idtype/s/location/United_States/SoFi January 2026 sofi.com/learn/content/average-wedding-cost/Fortunly Wedding Cost Statistics 2026 fortunly.com/statistics/wedding-cost-statistics/The Global Statistics, Wedding Cost Statistics US 2026 theglobalstatistics.com/wedding-cost-statistics-in-us/North American Community Hub nchstats.com/wedding-cost-in-united-states/Vendor Tipping Amounts & EtiquetteEmmaline Bride 2026 Vendor Tipping Guide emmalinebride.com/planning/who-to-tip-at-wedding/MasterClass Wedding Tipping Etiquette masterclass.com/articles/how-much-to-tip-wedding-vendorsWeddingTipCalculator.com 2026 weddingtipcalculator.com/how-much-to-tip-wedding-vendors/TheWeddingPlanner.ai theweddingplanner.ai/wedding-vendor-tipping-guideMike Staff Productions 2026 mikestaff.com/wedding-ideas/how-much-to-tip-wedding-vendors/Reel Vendor Network reelvendornetwork.com/wedding-vendor-tipping-guide/Watson Block Wedding Tipping Cheat Sheet watsonblock.com/blog/your-wedding-vendor-tipping-cheat-sheet/Michelle Leo Events michelleleoevents.com/blog/tipping-wedding-vendorsMarryment marryment.com/post/a-guide-to-tipping-your-wedding-vendorsYou're The Bride yourethebride.com/tip-your-wedding-vendors/The Drunk Wedding Photographer thedrunkweddingphotographer.com/summerimperfect/tipping-wedding-vendorsUK Tipping & Wage Law  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/distributing-tips-fairly-statutory-code-of-practiceCanadian Tipping & Wage Law: https://minwage-salairemin.service.canada.ca/en/general.htmlSend Unbridely a 90-second audio message on Speakpipe: https://www.speakpipe.com/unbridelypodcast*The Unbridely Podcast is sponsored by its listeners. Although Robson initially reacted negatively to such a departure from the norm, he eventually came to change his mind based on a thorough study of Scripture. What happened next was both tragic and all too common–he was asked the church where he was serving. Having left he is developing websites about doctrine and now has new Bible study app that can help you spot bias in translation.
