Send us a textAlright, real talk: almost every single question I got from you guys when I said Dr. Cheryl Fraser was coming back on the pod boiled down to one thing. Sex drive in midlife. More specifically: where the hell did it go?So, if you've ever felt like your libido ghosted you around perimenopause or menopause, this episode is your permission slip to stop feeling broken. Cheryl is an award-winning psychologist, couples therapist, and sex expert (and, honestly, one of my fave people ever), and she is laying it all out here: what's normal, what's not, and what we can actually do about it.We talk about everything from Snoopy toothbrushes (yep, you read that right) to hormone therapy, from body image stuff to the very real logistics of midlife sex when your back/knees/neck are like, “nah, girl.” Cheryl brings her signature honesty and humor to a topic that way too many of us have been suffering in silence about. And listen, you are not alone, you are not weird, and you don't have to give up on a vibrant sex life just because your hormones are throwing tantrums. This episode is a mix of straight talk, science, and some much-needed laughs. What's Inside:Why libido often drops during perimenopause and menopause and what's actually normalCheryl's personal story of going from “super frisky” to “WTF happened to my orgasms” in six monthsThe role of hormones, body image, stress, and relationships in your desire (spoiler: it's never just one thing)Practical steps to figure out if what you're dealing with is physiological, psychological, or relational and what to do nextSo let me ask you. What does a healthy sex life look like for you right now? Is it about getting back to the level of desire you had before or redefining intimacy in a way that feels good today? You don't have to settle for feeling disconnected. Let's talk about it. Ruth was an extraordinarily courageous and loyal woman of God. In our society of disposable relationships, cancel culture, and cutting off parents, Ruth presents us with a challenge to stick with family even when calamity strikes and hope seems lost. As a Moabite, Ruth was unlikely to be accepted in Israelite society. Even the Torah itself codified exclusion of all Moabites. Even though she was likely to face unfair prejudice and racism, she still chose loyalty to her mother-in-law, Naomi, over her own comfort and security. In the end, she found the love of her life.   Listen on Spotify   Listen on Apple Podcasts —— Links —— Check out the other episodes in the Heroes of Faith series Support Restitutio by donating here Join our Restitutio Facebook Group, follow on X @RestitutioSF or Instagram @Sean.P.Finnegan Leave a voice message via SpeakPipe with questions or comments and we may play it out on the air Who is Sean Finnegan?  Read his bio here Get Finnegan’s book, Kingdom Journey to learn about God’s kingdom coming on earth as well as the story of how Christianity lost this pearl of great price. Living in a time of spiritual and human rebellion, Noah pursued righteousness.
