An 84 year old woman is missing in Tucson. The President posted a racist video and won't apologize. The DNI is seizing voting machines. And Kamala Harris just relaunched her social media. It's been a week. Let's get into it.In This Episode:The Disappearance of Nancy GuthrieDay six of the search for Savannah Guthrie's mother, taken from her Arizona home in the middle of the night. We break down the full timeline, the ransom notes sent to media outlets, the FBI's warning about AI deepfakes complicating proof of life, the arrest of a fake ransom scammer, a new message being analyzed by investigators, a vehicle of interest at a Tucson Circle K, and the towing of a car from Nancy's property Friday evening. Still no suspects. Still no proof of life. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward. The President Posted What?!Late Thursday night, Trump's Truth Social account shared a video depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes, during Black History Month. The White House called the backlash "fake outrage." Then Tim Scott called it "the most racist thing I've seen out of this White House." Then Republicans started calling the President directly. Then it came down. Then they blamed a staffer. Then Trump said he won't apologize. SPY GAME (2001) looks like a slick, early-2000s spy thriller, but beneath Tony Scott's kinetic style is a surprisingly thoughtful film about loyalty, institutional cynicism, and the quiet mechanics of real espionage. Rather than gadgets or superhuman assassins, SPY GAME is about phone calls, favors, leverage, and knowing the system well enough to bend it without breaking it.   Robert Redford plays Nathan Muir, a veteran CIA operative on his final day before retirement, racing against the clock to save his former protégé Tom Bishop (Brad Pitt), who has been captured in a Chinese prison after going off-mission. What unfolds is less an action spectacle and more a chess match fought through bureaucracy, institutional blind spots, and decades of accumulated spycraft.   As the film moves between past missions and present-day interrogation rooms, SPY GAME becomes a story about mentorship, moral compromise, and the cost of serving systems that treat people as expendable assets. Redford delivers one of his most restrained performances, while Tony Scott proves that a “popcorn director” can still find real heart beneath the spectacle. Visit https://prizepicks.onelink.me/LME0/FOURPLAY and use code FOURPLAY and get $50 in lineups when you play your first $5 lineup! Raycon audio products are up to 20% off this holiday season! Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, Bryan covers new U.S. military strikes on drug boats in the Pacific, spy games inside Venezuela, a leadership shakeup at ICE, and President Trump's high-stakes meetings in Asia ahead of his summit with China's Xi Jinping. U.S. Strikes Cartel Boats in the Pacific: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that U.S. forces destroyed four cartel vessels off Mexico's coast. Bryan warns that the cartels are adapting fast — soon using AI-driven drone swarms and decoy boats to overwhelm U.S. defenses. "This is a shifting battlespace," he says, "where drug wars are becoming drone wars." Spy Games in Venezuela: Reports claim the Maduro regime captured mercenaries allegedly linked to the CIA, while a leaked DHS operation shows U.S. officers tried to recruit Maduro's pilot to defect with the dictator mid-flight. Bryan, skeptical of the CIA connection, explains why the pitch failed and what it reveals about poor tradecraft. ICE Shakeup and Deportation Fight: Twelve city directors were removed as DHS Secretary Kristi Noem pushes for mass deportations beyond violent offenders. The debate now divides Homeland Security: target "the worst of the worst" or deport "all of the above." Bryan argues that half-measures risk repeating 40 years of failed border policy. Shutdown Politics and GOP Infighting: Speaker Mike Johnson clashed with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene over the shutdown and Trump's leadership, reflecting tension between populists focused on domestic issues and those backing Trump's global diplomacy. Polls show Republicans gaining ground while Trump's approval dips slightly among independents. Trump's Asia Tour and China's Power Struggles: As Trump meets leaders in Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea before tomorrow's summit with Xi Jinping, China faces internal turmoil — a slowing economy and the purge of nine top generals. Bryan says, "Xi isn't losing power, but he's becoming more paranoid — and that makes China far more dangerous." "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: U.S. Navy drug boat strikes Pacific, AI cartel drone warfare, Venezuela CIA recruitment pilot, ICE deportation strategy Noem Homan, DHS leadership purge, Trump shutdown GOP divide, Trump Asia trade tour Xi Jinping summit, China economic slowdown military purge, Japan South Korea trade deals

This week, we check in on the CIA and how it’s faring in the age of AI. Oz sits down with David Ignatius, a foreign affairs columnist for The Washington Post to discuss his article, “A Band of Innovators Reimagines the Spy Game for a World with No Cover.” Ignatius has been covering US foreign policy and the CIA for almost four decades and he recently had a realization – that the “future of intelligence was going to be written in zeros and ones.” Which means the intelligence community needs to adapt and adapt quickly. But how does a government agency do this and what happens if it doesn’t? And who is responsible for dragging the bureaucracy-addled CIA into the AI future?

Part 2 of 2. Anomalous Health Incidents. AHI's. That is what the intelligence community refers to it as, but you likely know it as “The Havana Syndrome.” People reported feeling sick, dizzy, or even worse after experiencing a loud sonic-like wave in and around the U.S. Embassy in Cuba. The U.S. Intelligence Community says there is no evidence of any deliberate actions by a foreign actor. Is there more to the story?

IN THIS EPISODE~ For August, Rob and Doug serve up another cornucopia of JFK Assassination Research-related topics for discussion! Among the many things discussed and analyzed:A fascinating letter to New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, from a man who-- quite by accident-- found himself caught up in the shady gunrunning Anti-Castro world of Guy Banister in the early '60s; The many contradictory statements made by various people regarding Lee Harvey Oswald's "street scuffle" in New Orleans; The unsettling realization that Sylvia Odio's uncle actually attended Lee Harvey Oswald's New Orleans/Summer Of '63 Court Appearance, WEEKS before he allegedly showed up at her house in Dallas, a fascinating interview of Jim Garrison on "The Today Show" from 1976, and Rob & Doug discuss a rumour circulated amongst former "Anti-Castro Adventurers" that-- in the late 1960s-- certain wealthy people who had once made grandiose, bloviating verbal threats regarding John Kennedy were being extorted for money over the Assassination, by guys who were claiming to have taken them up on it and pulled it off.PLUS, we check in on C.O.P.A. ("The Coalition Of Prouty Apologists") to see how they're coping nowadays, Rob and Doug discuss/debate the validity of the "Harvey and Lee"-thing, Momo lays out of work and Rob has a GIANT new theme song!JOIN US!Written and Hosted by Rob Clark and Doug Campbell.Additional Content Provided by David Boylan.Recorded and Engineered by Curadao "Little Momo" Scaranucci, Jr. For Drop-D Podcast Productions.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/quick-hits-the-jfk-assassination--3682240/support.

Washington and Tehran have a long and complicated history, with tensions that rise, fall and then rise again. Just this summer, we watched the U.S. and Israel strike Iran's nuclear infrastructure. This month, SpyCast is bringing you a series of special episodes on Iran, looking back and forward, to unveil the country's intelligence priorities, capabilities, and tactics. First in our series is Fariba Nawa. She's a journalist who shows us that if you want to learn about Iranian intelligence, one of the best places to look is Turkey. It may be a member of NATO, but it's also a country where Iranian dissidents flee because of their shared border. And as Tehran tries to lure certain Iranians back, Israel tries to recruit them. It's a complex, deadly game that Fariba has been bravely documenting through the podcast Lethal Dissent. Rippling's latest lawsuit reads less like a legal filing and more like the plot of a corporate espionage thriller, complete with secret crypto payments, an alleged mole, and a fake Slack channel trap. This week, the HR tech startup publicly named the employee at the center of its case against its rival Deel, claiming the company paid him thousands to spy from the inside. Deel, however, is not staying quiet. The company is denying the claims, calling it a dramatic distraction from Rippling's own legal troubles. Today, on TechCrunch's Equity podcast, hosts Max Zeff and Anthony Ha are catching us up on the week's headlines, including a breakdown of how this saga between two HR tech giants escalated from business rivalry to accusations of racketeering, and why, according to Max, smashing the phone you use for corporate espionage with an ax at your mother-in-law's house is “the oldest trick in the book.” Listen to the full episode to hear about: The startup that's gamifying the tax filing process, and the copyright questions that continue to rise Circle's IPO and what the move could signal for others in the crypto space.
