Musique (extraits) : Mark Snow Love is Blue : Paul Mauriat Dancing Barefoot et Horses : Patti Smith
Intro - Roger drank 21 beers in a day, power move. It's so hot. People who leave kids are animals in cars with windows up are cruel. Chris's 6 year old a softball savant? A man and his family become targeted for assassination and when they are attacked on the open road, his son escapes into the forest only to run into a woman on fire watch while still being chased by two government trained assassins. Good cast and solid performances by people who do well in their respective rolls. Angelina isn't a show stopper but pretty good. Aidan Gillen and Nicholas Hoult and Jon Bernthall are also great with Finn Little as a newcomer also holding his own. A solid movie. Available theatrically or HBOMax. (5.5/10) Spiral 2004. Saw started a absolute legacy of horror turn torcher gore films to come. Two really great ones and five below average ones with a rogue "Jigsaw" movie and the more recent "Spiral" movies. That said, Jigsaw is dead and was only alive for 3 of the original 7 films, yet made an appearance in all of them. Jigsaw (Saw 2004) was brilliant. As Saw went on, Jigsaw became less so, forced and spoon-fed as exposition. Spiral is a step in the right direction for a Saw revival franchise. Much of the original atmosphere is kept intact along with much of what made Saw, Saw. The voice is not the same, nor is the mascot but both effective and menacing when put together. If you're a Saw fan, Spiral is for you. (4,10),(6/10) Hosted, produced and mixed by Grayson Maxwell and Roger Stillion. Guest appearance by Chris Bourghan. Music by Chad Wall. Make room for daddy—it’s a Stepfather’s Day special! Terry O’Quinn is a mild-mannered all-American dad with traditional ‘Leave It to Beaver’ values and a penchant for murder. Terry O’Quinn, of Lost and Emergence fame, is one of the most compelling character actors of his generation. Dr. Alan Campbell explores the craft of acting with this singular talent. O'Quinn even plays a little guitar for Alan. This episode first aired on October 17, 2019.
Believe it or not, it’s been 10 years since LOST ended. To celebrate, brothers Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are going back to the Island and reexamining the series finale. LOST ran for six seasons on ABC, from September 22, 2004 to May 23, 2010. The series centered on the survivors of a plane crash stranded on a mysterious island. It featured an ensemble cast that included Matthew Fox, Terry O’Quinn, Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, Jorge Garcia, Michael Emerson, Henry Ian Cusick, and many, many more. LOST took the world by storm during its first season, winning the Emmy for Best Drama, unheard of for a sci-fi show at the time. But while the show as a whole was beloved, the response to the series finale was much more mixed. “The End” is still one of the most divisive series finales of all time. Aaron and Josh go over their history with the series, what their reactions to “The End” initially were, and how rewatching it has informed their opinions of it. The two also discuss the lesser known epilogue found on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as the legacy of the show as a whole. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

This week we review the relatively unknown "Stepfather" franchise. There are three films and a remake. Terry O'Quinn (probably best known as John Locke on "Lost") stars in the first two movies. His performance definitely elevates what might otherwise be a Lifetime movie. Jerry Blake (we never learn his real name) ingratiates himself into families where the woman already has children. When they dont live up to his vision of "perfect domesticity" he savagely murders everyone and moves on to the next unsuspecting victims. These films are based on the IRL family annihilator John List. He's more heartless than anything in fiction. And in honor of Terry's performance, we have a quick recipe from www.familycookbookproject for O'Quinn's Apple Crisp here Music Credit: Here Photo Credit: Here
We understand that with the short-form nature of our show (30 minute episodes), that sometimes the conversations with our guests leave our listeners wanting more. Well, we're here to deliver. In an extended cut of our conversation with actor Terry O'Quinn, he candidly speaks about his experience growing up in a family of 11 with a father who was a prominent and sometimes intimidating figure, and raising his two sons in Maryland, working hard to make a living as an actor. You might be known as “sir” to your subordinates, “doc” to your patients, or “officer” to the person you're handcuffing. But to your kids, you're just plain old "dad"... even when you're on the big screen opposite Luke Wilson or expertly throwing knives on The Island. In Episode 7, we chat with veteran actor Terry O’Quinn about his on screen roles, as well as the role he didn't have to audition for: Hunter and Oliver's dad.In Episode 7, Marc and Adam commiserate about heartbreaking daycare drop offs and the importance of consistency and routine. They introduce guest Terry O'Quinn, whose storied career includes roles in The Stepfather I and II, The Rocketeer, Millennium, Heaven's Gate, Star Trek, The X-Files, Patriot, Perpetual Grace, Ltd., and of course, LOST.Terry shares stories from his own childhood, growing up one of 11 siblings with a father who was also his school principal, and being a young actor raising two boys in Maryland. We learn what life was like for his sons both before and after "Terry O'Quinn" became a household name. Other topics we discuss include:• Moving your family around the country for months at a time• Going to see a movie that you didn't know your DAD was in• Terry's parenthood advice for young actors• The rise of "binge watching" and "watch parties"• What NOT to say in the delivery room when you set eyes on your newborn for the first timeKeep you eyes on ModernDadhood.com for the full conversation with Terry. The boys wrap up the episode with a rousing game of "Talkin' With Toddlers," and open it up to the dads listening to decipher the final sound byte. Well, what more could you ask for than an 80’s throwback to Terry O’Quinn murdering multiple families? Nothing? Well good, because that’s what we got with this week’s film, “The Stepfather.” Maybe not the best piece of slasher cinema we’ve experienced, but enjoyable on certain fronts nonetheless. With a “rent” from Ryan and a “stream” from Tim, we agree Mr. O’Quinn pretty single-handedly holds the film together. Plus, if you want to hear Tim go on an intense 45 second rant, get on into this episode to find out what 80's slasher trope got him so worked up! CW: Rape, Domestic Abuse It's Father's Day on Pod Sematary... AND it's a Double Feature! Chris & Kelsey discuss a creepy classic about an overly strict stepfather along with its teen-thriller remake. Listen along with YOUR stepfather! The Classic Film: The Stepfather (1987) "After murdering his entire family, a man remarries a widow with a teenage daughter in another town and prepares to do it all over again" (IMDb.com). This cult classic turned out to be much better than we were expecting. Plus, you get to see Terry O'Quinn's stepfatherly dong. The Modern Film: The Stepfather (2009) "Michael returns home from military school to find his mother happily in love and living with her new boyfriend. As the two men get to know each other, he becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand" (Sony Pictures). We posit that this remake wouldn't have seemed so bad if it wasn't being held up against a far superior version, but we still wouldn't take it over the original. Get more at podsematary.com! This episode, we are doing a little bit of "Fall Cleaning" with an wide array of films that have been sitting on the shelf for us for too long. We have a HUGE October coming up, so I want to clean out our backlog before the month starts. On this episode, we are going to be visiting the "Puppet Master" hotel for the latest chapter of the series, "The Littlest Reich". This may be the most fun film in the entire franchise. "The Babysitter" on Netflix was the latest film to distract Jess, and keep her up late watching instead of working on homework. "Kill List" was one that deserved a huge mention, but just hasn't fit into an episode. Happy to include it here. "Society and The Wraith"- was a fun as hell Midnight Mutant type double feature that I'm happy to finally share with everyone. Both are on Shudder, and are surprising. Especially Society. OMFG. "Stepfather"- is a visit to classic 80's camp with Terry O Quinn as our guide. It's on Amazon, and is required viewing. Slice- New Release from A24 that was part of a double feature...maybe the weaker part. Strange Nature- A New Eco-Horror film coming this week to theaters that is a good one for the left leaning Horror Heads to check out. High Tension- Jess and I pay off our Wheel assignment with High Tension, which may have started out way stronger than it finished. Trigger warning for fans of this film: we may not have liked it very much, maybe not at all.
Terry O'Quinn as CAG - need we say more?

J.J. Abrams gets Terry O'Quinn back onto a new show and the first thing he does is stick him down a hatch again. In the second episode of Hulu's Castle Rock, we learn more about the town's background and question when easter eggs are relevant and when they're unnecessary. Rutger Hauer is again the subject to our discerning eye, or possibly wrath, it may be wrath. Phillip (Salt, Bone Collector) Noyce directs Blind Fury (1989), a film loosely based on Zatoichi. A Vietnam veteran blinded during the war comes to town to bury some ghosts of the past and gets drawn into a drug ring that has devastated his friend's family. Good thing he was trained by local villagers while he was missing in action to be a master swordsman. The bad guys will definitely pay in this action, comedy starring Rutger Hauer, Terry O'Quinn, Branden Call, Noble Willingham, Nick Cassavetes, Rick Overton, Randall "Tex Cobb, and Sho Kosugi! A kid in a wheelchair does not fall into a meat grinder in Stepfather 3. A Man in Love. Reel Deals. Defense of the Realm. A masterful performance by Terry O'Quinn. Brother-in-law subplot. Therapist. Family values. Gratuitous nudity. The finale. Sequels and a remake. Buy it/rent it/tape over it. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

On this week's episode, the gang has nothing but love for 1989's incredible white guy ninja masterpiece, Blind Fury! Why do all movies with blind characters have other characters "test" them to see if they're actually blind? How lame is this terrible wimp of a villain, MacCready? And how is Chris not impressed by a blind guy chopping a flying squash in half? PLUS: How many Academy Award-winning films have ripped this movie off? Answer: At least two. Blind Fury stars Rutger Hauer, Terry O'Quinn, Brandon Call, Noble Willingham, Randall 'Tex' Cobb, Nick Cassavetes Meg Foser, and Shô Kosugi; directed by Phillip Noyce.
Because Cycle of the Werewolf was such a short episode, I decided to release my review of Stephen King's Silver Bullet a week early! So there you go, constant listeners! You get two reviews in the span of one week! In this week's episode of the Stephen Kingcast, tune in for my review of Silver Bullet, King's film adaptation of Cycle of the Werewolf. With Cory Haim, Gary Busey, Everett McGill, Terry O'Quinn, Bill Smitrovich, and a killer soundtrack, does this movie top King's novella? Take a joyride this week on the Stephen Kingcast to find out!
This week on Alcohollywood, we're headed back to the 1980s with the Stephen King-written werewolf flick Silver Bullet, starring Gary Busey as alcoholic-yet-fun uncle Red, who helps handicapped Corey Haim track down a werewolf that's killing the increasingly-simpleminded denizens of his small Maine town. Luckily, they've got the help of their spunky sister, a bunch of unfounded assumptions, and Corey's flipping-sweet motorized wheelchair, the "Silver Bullet"! Keep a look out for other actors who probably shouldn't be here, including Terry O'Quinn as the well-meaning town sheriff, Everett McGill as a preacher with a terrible secret (SPOILER: he's the werewolf), and Lawrence Tierney as the town bartender. Bite into our custom cocktail and drinking rules for Silver Bullet!

Algunos datos sobre una entrevista que hacen a Terry O'Quinn sobre el humo negro.
This special edition of "The Transmission" brings you along with us to a special "Evening with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse," the main event in the Hawaii International Film Festival's day-long celebration of "LOST." Special guests included Jack Bender, Jean Higgins, Yunjin Kim, Terry O'Quinn, Jorge Garcia and Michael Emerson. The program started with the presentation of two film festival awards, and included a few clips from the show (edited down for the podcast).
The politics and culture talkshow surveys the political damage wrought by Katrina (and soon Rita), discuss the blinding whiteness of soon-to-be Chief Honky John Roberts, and for some reason spends an inexplicable amount of time waxing rapturously about the career of veteran character actor Terry O'Quinn (that bald guy from "Lost"). Hey, it's not "The Situation Room"; it's Punditocracy! We can only hope to be half as funny as Wolf Blitzer...
