In the inaugural episode of the soon-renowned Film Flam podcast, Colin and Sean dive directly into navel-gazing, dreamily recounting their childhood experiences of watching movies (turns out Sean is a weirdo) and singing the praises of oft-overlooked directors like Stanley Kubrick. If this episode doesn't hook you on the ineffable chemistry of our duo, and our sharp and pleasing wit, then just listen to the rest of our catalogue or admit you're as hopeless as an R-rated movie in Colin's parents' house.
The HOBI Gang is without their esteemed former Intern this week so the boys won't be talking Slyvester Stallone! Plus the gang wonders how a Halloween television series would work, the dangers of being a contestant on a reality show and we list our Top Five Films that Let Us Down. Annie and I grew up with a father who had lived through World War II - and while he was still pretty young in those days, the years after the war were part of my father's formative movie-going years - and my siblings and I hear more than one or two stories about double features, newsreels, and all the things. But remember that we were also one of the first families in the neighborhood to have a VCR...and our father loved to record the classic films off of television whenever they would air. We have a ton of favorite WWII films; and in this week's episode our clear upbringing becomes evident once again and we do have some overlapping Top Five Films. The fact that Annie is a retired Lt. Colonel from the US Army AND a current instructor of military deception at Leavenworth makes this episode all the more fun for me, and educational, too!!! ENJOY!!

Video Vagabond celebrates it's double-digit entry with two Van Dammes for the price of one as we hilariously breakdown one of our TOP FIVE JCVD FILMS - "Double Impact" (1991). This film absolutely rocks. It's filled with loads of unintentional comedy, great fight sequences, memorable quotes, and balls-to-the-wall action.DOUBLE IMPACT tells that tale of two twin brothers, separated from birth after their parents' gruesome murders, as they reunite in order to avenge their parents' death. Van Damme pulls double-duty as he plays Chad, the happy-go-lucky LA dance/karate instructor, who becomes a fish-out-of-water as he travels to Hong Kong to meet Alex (also played by JCVD!), a rough-and-tumble scoundrel with slicked-back hair and an all-black wardrobe. This is Van Damme at his apex! This is Van Damme's double-album! That's right, hot take, DOUBLE IMPACT is JCVD's the WHITE ALBUM! Join us as we also rank JCVD's TOP FIVE FILMS (1988-1997) during his amazing run where he was #3 behind Arnold and Stallone as action-heroes of the 80s/90s! We hope you enjoy! The biggest box office star in 1967, he redefined our image on the big screen. He also was the first Black man to direct a $100 million film. Film critics, Wilson Morales and Charles Kirkland, Jr. join host Tim Gordon to talk about Poitier's enormous legacy and impact all on this special edition of Overtime.

Each podcaster runs down their list of top five favorite films of 2014 (with three honorable mentions allowed per person) and will give their passionate pitch as to why each film should be considered one of the best of the year. There is also a moment where they savage a film as the very worst of the year.
