Låttext (Verse) Zombie Road, where shadows hide, Lawler Ford's haunted by those who died. Trains once roared, now nature's guise, But spirits linger 'neath the skies. (Chorus) Zombie Road, where ghosts still roam, From Della's plight to the unknown. Teen hangouts, murders past, Darkness lingers, it forever lasts. (Bridge) Zombie's tale, a murderer's dread, Escaped asylum, rumors spread. Now a trail, in daylight's gleam, But night's embrace, a haunting scene. (Outro) Zombie Road, beware its lore, Closed at night, spirits soar. Nature's mask, a ghostly guise, In shadows deep, the mystery lies.
Dan kicks off the show with a strange tale from Russia. A water dwelling, creepy creature that no one seems to know what it is. We join him at Lake Labynkyr. Is it just folklore? Or are some kind of leftover dinosaurs or something else living in this lake? Real-life sea serpents? Then, we go back to Wildwood, Missouri's Zombie Road. While we once shared stories from Zombie Road several years ago - today's encounters are all new. Or at least, new for us to share. Lynze has a Peeper friendly tale that is rather interesting and then wraps up February with a tale in Michigan about loosing time in the wilderness. Like all states, Missouri has some weird stuff and haunted history. Not the least of which is that we lived there in the early 2000s! In this episode, we visit Zombie Road, the ghosts of the Lemp Mansion, and talk about the very nature of memory itself. Heady stuff, to be sure. Zombie Road is a short road in the City of Wildwood, and is one of Missouri's most haunted locations. It started being referred to as the Zombie Road in the early 1950s when the road eventually fell into disrepair and was all but abandoned. Because it's such a secluded area it was a very popular local hangout for teenagers to party - but over the years it ended up with a different reputation… Stay safe out there. With love, Saaniya and Maddie x Sources: https://www.dangerousroads.org/north-america/usa/4359-zombie-road.html https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/missouri/zombie-road-mo/ https://www.roadstotravel.net/usa-zombie-road-missouri/ https://www.stlmag.com/history/st-louis-sage/is-zombie-road-really-haunted/
Krys leads off with King's Tavern in NAtchez, MS. Outlaws galore frequented this tavern in it's heyday and gave it a shady reputation. Main takeaway? You want ghosts?! Because that's how you get ghosts…Add in a spooky crossroads, some dumb criminals, and infanticide, you get King's tavern. Tori takes us to Missouri and to the Zombie Road. Enter into a land of tropes, shitloads of paranormal phenomenon, maybe, just maybe…Bigfoot? Dare the shadow squirrels and flying tombstones. Krys comes back with Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Alabama. This cemetery is home to some unusual headstones and other interesting stories from the past. Tori rounds us out with a good ole monster, the Wendigo. Welcome to our 2022 Halloween themed show! It's All Hallows Eve but in Detroit it was always Devils Night. Tonight we start off with the hilarious Paul Pelosi saga and the Elon Musk/Twitter deal. Then we call up our resident spooky musician friend Slasher Dave who creates great Halloween music, tells us some history and a spooky story. I read a dark letter from Patriot Em and we try to make some sense of it all. Plus we got into a bunch more show themed stories from the local Detroit scene. We are working on our upcoming Halloween special. While we do so, enjoy this random hit where the guys celebrate Halloween in their normal nonsensical way. Shawn tries to tell a spooky story, but keeps getting shut down at every turn. The guys choose their favorite movie monsters to place on Mount 4-Head. Shawn and Mark take us on a trip to some haunted places that may make your hair stand on end or just die laughing, and Dave is not please with their idea of sending him out to broadcast from Zombie Road. The fellas wrap up the program with some Halloween related Would You Rather questions, including one that involves the monster in your closet and the one under your bed. Plus the Maroon of the Week, and a trip to Uncle Mark's Joke Bag. Join us for another hilarious episode of Randomosity with Shawn and Mark.

How did a road carved from nature, that was once a simple foot path for the Natives, become such a huge ghost story? Rock Hollow Trail is now a popular spot for tourists interested in the paranormal, in the scary stories, and some just interested in a nice walk or bike ride through a forest. But what we know today as Rock Hollow Trail, at night is still closed, and the stories still swirl around, scaring not only the tourists, but some of the people who live near it. Let's talk about the stories surrounding Rock Hollow Trail, or what's better known as, The Zombie Road.
