    Ivy Insights

The Elevation Recovery podcast is an incredible resource for anyone seeking addiction recovery strategies, specifically for opioid, alcohol, pills, and other substance addictions. Hosted by Matt Finch and Chris Scott, this podcast offers a refreshing and data-based approach to addiction recovery. I have been listening to Matt for over a year now, and he has become my personal coach in dealing with dependence due to chronic pain. His guidance has been invaluable, as he has been through it all himself and shows immense respect for the time he gives back to the community.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the wealth of information provided by Matt and Chris. Their knowledge is not only informed but also based on their own experiences in recovery. It's refreshing to hear from individuals who have gone through similar struggles and have come out on the other side. The guests they invite onto the show are also wonderful, providing valuable insights and inspiration. Additionally, they focus on more biological and mental ways of healing and recovering, which I believe is crucial in getting more people healthier and off substances.

However, one aspect that may be seen as a downside for some listeners is that not everyone will be able to afford the same luxury as Mr. Fogler when it comes to taking time off work or slowly transitioning back into part-time work. While I appreciate Sean acknowledging this fact, it would be beneficial to explore strategies that are more accessible to those who cannot afford extended breaks from work.

In conclusion, The Elevation Recovery podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking addiction information or support. Matt and Chris are not only knowledgeable but also down-to-earth individuals who provide incredible insights based on their own experiences. This podcast offers a different perspective on addiction recovery by focusing on biological and mental healing methods. Overall, it's an inspiring and informative podcast that can help individuals transcend addiction and start feeling better.

This episode can be a real lifesaver for people who have not yet read about the significant overlap between hypoglycemia and alcohol. Guided Meditation for Transcending Addiction (Ep. 316)

This is a powerful meditation that helps to reprogram your subconscious mind and keep your brain's reticular activating system (RAS) focused on the goal of overcoming addiction. The RAS works like a heat-seeking missile. By keeping your RAS focused on the target of recovering from addiction, you'll have a much better chance of achieving your goal. The best time to listen to this guided meditation for addiction recovery would be right after you wake up or just as you're going to sleep. Right after we wake and just before sleep, we pass through theta brain waves. Delta waves are the sleeping brain waves. As we wake we pass from delta to theta, alpha, then beta. When we go to bed it's the opposite. Theta waves are the subconscious reprogramming waves. Your analytical and judging mind is turned off in theta, allowing the messages in this meditation to sink deep into your subconscious without blocking them. To get the best benefits from this meditation, you may like to listen once or twice per day during these times, although you can totally benefit from listening any time of day, as the guided meditation helps you to relax into theta waves using progressive muscle relaxation during the first few minutes. The Guided Meditation for Transcending Addiction is also more powerful when using earbuds or headphones. Noise-canceling headphones are typically best as they allow you to block out the rest of the sounds of life around you, making it easier for you to sink deep into theta waves while listening to the guided imagery, affirmations, and subconscious-software-program-hacking for overcoming addiction safely and powerfully.
