On today's show, Cody Roark (@CodyRoarkNFL) discusses the Denver Broncos decision to pick up the club option on star pass rusher Von Miller. The move was big in the eyes of Broncos Country despite Von's pricetag. Plus, the team's second-round tenders on Tim Patrick and Alexander Johnson became official and teams can make offers that Denver can match, will they match any offers those players receive, however?   Cody discusses the return of Von Miller for the Broncos in 2021 -- the impact that can be expected if Bradley Chubb and Von can stay healthy, and what the Broncos options are after 2021 if they want to extend Miller. Cody then gives his thoughts on the team's decision to place second-round tenders on Alexander Johnson and Tim Patrick -- if other NFL teams offer these players, the Broncos can match, and if they choose not to match, Denver will receive 2nd round picks for them by teams making offers. Cody discusses the vibe inside Dove Valley that both players will be wearing a Broncos jersey in 2021. To give some insight on the signing of Ronald Darby, Locked On WFT host Chris Russell gives Broncos fans some insight into Darby's time with the Washington organization and what they can expect from the 27-year-old. Cody closes out the show by talking about what moves potentially remain for the Broncos with the CB market still having some talented players available, the veteran QB market drying up and what options Denver could potentially pursue -- Cody also brings up the idea that Denver should poach a former AFC West Division Rival RB in Damien Williams who was just released by the Kansas City Chiefs. What will the Broncos do to address the safety position that now has some question marks after the team's decision to not pick up Kareem Jackson's option? -- Does Will Parks fit the bill for the organization and who could they target in the NFL Draft? On today's show, Cody Roark (@CodyRoarkNFL) highlights the Denver Broncos first day of NFL Free Agency moves. The organization declined to pick up the club option of Safety Kareem Jackson, re-signed defensive lineman Shelby Harris to a three-year contract, and signed former Washington Football Team cornerback Ronald Darby to a three-year deal. Denver also placed 2nd-round tenders on LB Alexander Johnson and WR Tim Patrick. Plus, can General Manager George Paton change the perception of the team's culture by taking care of their in-house free agent players?  Cody starts the show off by discussing the news of the Broncos declining the club option on Safety Kareem Jackson, how does the positional need change now for them? Cody then goes on to discuss defensive lineman Shelby Harris re-signing with the Broncos at the start of free agency and goes in-depth on what the Broncos projected starting defensive line will be, reflecting on Shelby's journey and his impact on the team. The Broncos placed an original round tender on RB Phillip Lindsay, and 2nd-round tenders on LB Alexander Johnson and WR Tim Patrick, Cody discusses what it means regarding Lindsay's future as a Bronco and what the plans are for Johnson and Patrick. Cody then shares his thoughts on the team's signing of former WFT CB Ronald Darby and discusses why Broncos fans shouldn't be as concerned about Darby's "injury history" by providing information on Darby's play in 2020, starting and playing in all 16 games, and what he offers the Broncos in Vic Fangio's scheme, and why the Broncos may not be done at CB in free agency just yet. Cody then discusses the state of the AFC West after several of the Broncos divisional rivals made some big-time signings to their offensive lines, and a new pass rusher enters the mix that Denver will have to face twice per season. To close out the show, Cody discusses how George Paton is in a perfect position to change the perception of the culture of the team that is held by players inside the locker room and players outside of Denver based on how John Elway didn't commonly pay guys who have been on the roster, letting them walk away. Paton finds himself in a position to change that for the better, and he's off to a good start with his decision to re-sign Shelby Harris. Learn more about your ad choices.
